Professor Paik is tough, but definitely cares about success of her students. She has a realistic teaching approach, that will prep you for the "real world" and puts a hundred percent of effort into her work. Now THAT's an admirable and an inspiring quality. Busines with professor Paik--an absolute YES.

The professor demonstrated a sincere interest to insure course topics were clearly presented and understood. Class assignments were functional, provided positive reinforcement of teaching objectives, and realistic.

She's not easy, but you'll walk away from the class with a good resume. First half of the semester you gotta read the book, the other part you gotta do written assignment. Overall it's an easy class if you come to class and do 80% of the work.

Professor Paik's course is well structured and organized. Her workload is very light. She is very enthusiastic which makes the classes enjoyable and very fast. Very pleasant course. Taking this course will let walk away with priceless skills and information. SMC is lucky to have her in the Business Dept.

Its not an easy class for people who expect to get an easy A. you do have to write a lot for this class no matter who you take it with. So i suggest her because she is amazingly helpfull and understanding. she helped me learn a lot. I really enjoyed her class.

This professor has an exceptional teaching style; homework load is moderate and the exercises reinforce teaching objectives. This is an ideal class for grammar reinforcement and report writing.

Her class is well-organized and interesting. I don't think her class is too hard, if you are hard-working student. I've got A's on unit tests and A's and B's on writing assignment. Of course, my grade is A, even though I am an international student. She is very fair. I leaned a lot of things from her.

I Learned much about how to communicate in the business world. It is a great class for students who come to school to learn. Did not agree with the text too much, but, coming to class and listening to the professor is what got me the knowledge I was seeking. I had a great time in this class. It moves rather fast, but Professor Paik helps you stay on track. My classmates came from all over the place, which made the class all the more enriching. Guys Ms. Paik may seem a little corny at first, but she is actually a wonderful human being. I was on the verge of failing her class but she gave me a second chance. Middway through the semester she had a heart to heart talk w/me and she told me she really wanted to see me succeed and offered her help. I got a B- in the end. She is extremely FAIR!!

Fantastic teacher! I actually learned something from this class! I learned how to write a professional letter with correct punctuation. After taking this class, i feel that i could work anywhere and write like a pro. Good teacher! If you're a normal student and follow instructions, you should do well. she was a pretty chill teacher. the mid term and the final were a piece of cake. i didnt read the book at all i just listened to her lectures and it was enough for me to know the answers for the mid term and final and the homework. you only need the book to know what to do for homework.she is easy but i did learn a lot.

Any successful business business I know has been impressed by the work we do in professor Paik's class. Today she OFFERED to stay after class to help me on a major project. yes at first she's a little intimidating, but if you show work ethic and get to know her better, shes actually amazing. she really cares about her students.

If you want to have a leg up on the competition when it comes time to find a job, take her Business Communications class. Professor Paik can be a little rough at times, but it is for the benefit of her students in the long run. She has a lot of real world experience. Participation is really BIG and a +. Not a lot of H.W's. she can seems a bit intimidating. A 10pg. bus. report is due at the end. Paik is a good professor, good at explaining and have some humor. Attendance and participation is important and make sure to study for the final - those two things made my A go down to a B. But overall it was a good class that I enjoyed.

Paik is a great Professor. She inspired me so much in business so I changed my major to business management/leadership. I read this course on AC College, that is, only for international students. The course was very easy. You have to attend class and you have to study for your tests. She is a fair teacher. I recommend her for everyone!

Very nice professor, I took her for Bus 32 as well as Bus english! She will try to help you if you ask her too, she gives plenty extra credit points. However, you will have to work in this class, it is not an easy A but she keeps you interested the whole session. Loved the way she taught me!

2 tests (Midterm/Final), 4 one page letters/memos, 1 three page employment portfolio, 10 page business report that's due at the end of the semester, one five minute presentation on the report. Do the EC. I got C's on the exams but got A's on all the writing assignments and got an A in the class. Just follow her formats exactly, you'll learn a lot.

Professor Paik has been teaching at SMC for a very long time. She knows her material very well, and explains things well. You must keep up with the reading and work in this Business English class; the topics build on one another. If you do this, you will find this class very enjoyable and useful. I learned a lot from this Business English class. There were five writing assignments that were fairly easy, as long as you read and listen to the instructions. Read the book, do the practice assignments, listen and participate in class. If you really care about learning English grammar, you'll do fine. But don't be unprofessional, rude or late.

Paik is strongly opinionated and doesn't try to hide it. She misses a few topics but argues she's covered it all. She's very strict on grading but it's to ultimately prepare you for the real (business) world. Attendance is important. Easy and straightforward assignments. I took Prof. Paik's class this summer and it was a great class to take, especially if you are looking to improve your professionalism in the business world. Her class is very straightforward. Everything you need to know is on the syllabus and she will work with students if need be. It is writing intensive but its good practice for the real world.

I took BUS32 this fall and learned everything I had hoped for and some more. I liked the way Professor Paik taught her class and I liked that she acknowledged and appreciated hard work. The course is quite homework heavy, but everything you learn from the assignments and in class are things you can use later in real life, which made it worth it.

I took BUS1 over the summer while the class was entirely remote. There were no lectures, a few essays/projects, and textbook readings with quizzes. Given this, my experience with her class was not very typical. However, she was very accessible and helpful when I needed to ask her a question. She had very clear grading guidelines as well.

This professor is really clear and gives detailed instructions. If you follow those instructions, you will pass. There is plenty of extra credit assignments to be taken. The reading was brutal though and the chapters tests would take a long time as well (hours). I would take again due the amount of clarity and straightforwardness of the lessons.

Professor Paik is amazing! I just finished Business 32 with her for this Winter semester and because of her, learned how to be more professional in the workplace as well as revise my resume. Professor Paik was a pretty good teacher. She goes off of the textbook and most of your grade is based on the chapter readings. I recommend getting started early on the Stock Project because it is hard to get an A without all of the detailed information. Make sure you take advantage of the extra credit for early submission.
