Take Prof. Scheitrum! Her tests coincide very nicely with lectures and readings, so there are no surprises, and her lectures are concise and easy to follow. Class is usually fun, and lots of real-life examples are used to better explain psychology. A+!

She is straight forward and fun. Everything on the test is covered on her review sheets. The classes are fun and oriented to real life situations. I would recommend anyone to take her classes

Great prof. prob the best ive had here so far. very nice and helpful person. Somewhat wierd, but she uses this to help your remember material. Maybe the only downfaults are that she takes attendance regularly and very few grades to pull up a bad grade.A+

I would suggest her for any psych course, she is funny and makes class fun and she makes you laugh. There are 4 tests that are fairly easy as long as you take notes and pay attention to what she has to say. Take psych with her! Shes great!

Pretty funny, but can also be slightly annoying. I was worried going into this class because I thought it was going to be difficult. Not this one! For one thing, you do not need to buy a book. All you need to do is study the online notes, and all the work requested of you. Honestly you really don't have to go to class, but she makes them worth it.

She doesnt require attendance and puts detailed notes on blackboard, but going to class helps alot. I actually got a D the first time i took a Psychology course so I took her this time around. OMG DID SHE BREAK IT DOWN NICELY! if you struggle at ALL with psych for the life of you try to get into her class. She doesn't want you to buy the textbook because she writes it in her words that you can print from the internet. I ended up with an A!

I had life span with a different professor and withdrew because he made the class harder than it needed to be. She makes it easy and tries to be funny and engaging. You will actually learn something and want to. I haven't missed class but I still feel the need to study a good amount for exams they're a little specific. Doesn't recquire textbook.

Most of her classes are generally the same, or go over the same general ideas. Her quizzes are frustrating. You have to know what she wants you to answer, not whats actually on the internet sometimes. Super easy, but sometimes frustrating because of how she teaches at times. Listening to her go over gender was frustrating, you may get offended.

I love professor Akillas. All of her classes are set up the same and are pretty easy, only if you come to class to get the notes. She won't post notes. Class involves four tests, four quizzes, and up to 10 points extra credit for each test. Only complaint is that some test questions are not exactly worded like the notes. Only a few though.

Amazing professor. She has all of her indepth notes online that correlate with her lectures. She's hilarious and the tests aren't too bad. She gives 4 tests and 12 short quizzes online (with notes accessible). Read the online notes and you will have no problem passing the class. I recommend going, though. She's awesome!!

Loved her, full note taking the whole time from powerpoints in class. After a section is over she uploads the lecture on d2l, it has some additional information that you also get tested on. Quizzes on d2l, 1 quiz for every section she teaches and 1 exam on 3 sections, the quizzes aren't due until the date of the scheduled exam which is really neat

Topics are covered through class powerpoints although the exact PowerPoints arent posted so attendance is recommended (she does post a word document with the information) and all exams are straight from the PowerPoint. No surprises here, very straight forward. Each topic has a 10 question quiz online with information covered from PowerPoint/Docs

I had the privilege of having Professor Akillas for General Psychology, Adolescent Psychology, and lastly this course Child Psychology. She is an amazing professor! I highly recommend having a class with her. She knows what she is talking about and cares so much about her students. If you don't pass it's because you chose not to show up.

Easy prof. Does a lot of in class work and basically no homework aside from 2 easy projects and a reflection essay based on your opinion so its easy. Requires 2 novels as textbooks and you will need them but they are cheap on amazon

Every class is a lecture, but they are interesting and he has good stories. No matter how great my notes were and how much I studied, The test are fairly hard in my opinion. The tests are hard but they're passable, and you make it up with easy home assignments.

Very positive helpful Professor. I am happy to have her as my FYS in my Freshmen year. She does not stress me out with work. Her assignments are very straight forward and chill. Taking notes and showing up is the only recommendation. There are quizzes that are open note and book which is even better. I enjoy her class very much.

She's a little kooky but she's fun and good at teaching. You can tell she's passionate about children and psychology. She's also cool because she never takes attendance and tells you to stay home if you're sick.

Professor Akillas is a very kind and funny professor whose lectures are very interesting. She makes it easy to understand the content and class is not mandatory, but you will miss the slides which she does not post. The class was easy, but grades are solely based on timed exams and video quizzes.

I absolutely adored her class. She never took attendance, and she offered a 30 point extra credit assignment. As long as you try and do the assignments you will be fine, they are pretty simple. I ended with a 101% and I would love to take her again in the future.

If you need to take abnormal psy 250. I would take it with her. This is a 5 week class over the summer and its layed out with asynchronous on D2L. The quizzes were multiple choice and video quizzes.

Very good professor. Her lectures are clear and very helpful especially for a freshman. She is so sweet and actually cares about her students by asking about their days and what is going on. Tests are all open note and can use your book so if you fail that is on you. Theres extra credit opportunities and there is no way that anyone should fail.

She is so sweet and super laid back. She basically gives you the layout of the entire semester on the first day and gives you so much time to complete a couple videos and three exams that are open note for the entire month. She won't accept late work but you honestly shouldn't even need extra time to complete these assignments because they are easy

I loved having Professor Akillas as my first-year seminar instructor. I took the course "New Adulting" that she teaches as a required first-year seminar class. The class is so easy, and as long as you do the work, attend class most days, and participate in group reading discussions, you will find this class fun and relaxing.

Professor Akillas is awesome. I took her for Psych of Personality. Her class is mainly lecture with a powerpoint which she does not give out and you have to go to class to get the notes. The quizzes are multiple choice they are hard, but if you study you'll be fine. She gives out a syllabus the first day and laid out the rest of the semster.

She is awsome. I took psy 360 intro to clinical psychology I. This was a class were she lectures with powerpoints, and had to read a novel and have groups with a book decision. There were grades for book duscussions which you can't miss. The quizzes were based from book chapters and novel quizzes the quizzes were multiple choice.

This class consists of lectures with online multiple-choice exams and video quizzes for grades. Video quizzes are multiple-choice quizzes on short videos you watch outside of class. Prof Akillas keeps lectures interesting as she is very animated and fun, but she doesn't post lectures online. This class was super interesting and very easy to pass!!!

Professor Akillas is probably the best professor that I've had so far. I've had her three times in my sophomore year, and each class with her was a treat. Most if not all of your grade will come from unit or chapter quizzes, which are easy enough that you need to try to mess them up. Take her classes, she's great.

Prof. Akillas has a quirky teaching style, but her passion for the subject really shines through. While the exams can be challenging, her flexible policies and Unstuck study make the class manageable. An easy A or B if you put in the work.

She is a little kooky but very kind. She has a lot of experience in the field and presents the material in a way that is easy to understand. Very lecture heavy but she makes them fun and interactive. The workload is very much on your own timeline which is nice. Easy to work with if you need accommodations. Incredibly organized D2L. Would retake her

One of if not my favorite professors I've had at KU I'm excited to have her for more classes. Uses great real world examples to help students view the disorders conceptually

My favorite professor at Kutztown. Her lectures are interesting and engaging. She gives opportunities to receive extra credit, and reminds about upcoming assignments regularly.

My favorite psych professor. She always makes classes fun and actually acts out what she's explaining so you can get a better understanding of what she is talking about.
