The subject matter is tough but she makes it relatable. She is personable and engaging. Makes it doable.

She takes her job as a professor really serious and wants the best for her students, but be mindful that her tests are NOT EASY and you HAVE to study EVERYTHING in order to pass. Also she does not like to give study guides so make sure you pay attention to her lectures and take notes :)

She can be semi-confusing overall but she does care a lot about her students passing. Make sure you go to class because a mini quiz is taken using a scanning code that counts as your attendance. Has extra credit on the exams and will re-use a few same short questions from previous exam short answers. Study the ppts and textbook and you will pass!!!

Failed the final, deserved my C ,didn't have time to study.. Fair Grader, Lab work in groups, pay attention, do homework, study for mid-term and final.. You will pass!!! Very friendly, down to earth understands if you have emergencies.. lets you make up work if missed...Would recommend..

Overall, great professor. Microbiology is a tough course in general but as long as you read and study you will pass. She explains things well. She gives homework, quizzes, extra credit opportunities, and group project along with tests. There are also study sessions. This is my second time taking Microbiology I'm so happy I took her class.

She is a wonderful professor and keeps our classroom a friendly environment. The subject is very hard, so you have to work hard. She is there, ready to answer questions and help you to understand. We asked for a Zoom review before exams, she made time to set it up for us. Yes, she loves being a professor and it makes a lot of difference.

This class was challenging but I learned a lot. It was mandatory for my program and I wasn't able to take it in-person. You work at your own pace. Modules are open for a week & tests are open for two days. There are a lot of assignments, but this helps your overall grade. Professor communicates and sets up meetings if you need extra help.

The course was difficult but the professor communicated well. There were a lot of assignments but that helped with the overall grade. She offers tutoring, which is nice, and is available for zoom office hours. The only thing is she did take a little long with grading the first test but that was it. The course is doable if you prepare.

I took lab & lecture online. Both are a lot of work & assignments. The lecture was straightforward but the lab unknown project was confusing to me. I got stuck on how to complete it. She was fast responding to emails and gave a lot of direction and examples. I probably won't take another online lab but I wouldn't mind having this professor again.

Professor Cedeno was very involved and responsive to students needs throughout the course. Micro is not the easiest class, and there is a lot of homework and reading. However, there were some good opportunities for extra credit. Work hard and email the Professor with questions or concerns.

Professor Cedeno is an excellent teacher who is enthusiastic about microbiology. When you need assistance comprehending something, she is really kind and helpful. Overall, microbiology is not an easy subject, but if you put in the effort and study, you can pass her class. She requires you to finish your lab reports and gives extra credit quizzes.

I wish I could have take Professor Cedeno for every science class at BC. She goes out of her way to give extra help, and you can do super well just so long as you actually put in the work, listen to instructions, and attend extra help sessions. Teaches in a super relatable and understandable way with study guides and hw that genuinely help. 10/10

Not enough words to describe how much I LOVE this lady!!!!! I have no CLUE why tf she has bad reviews, you get what you work for. She helps as much as she can as a teacher but it's up to you to learn. She was so helpful and answered emails quickly. She was also SUPER sweet and kind. TAKE HER!!!!!!

She's a great professor and super sweet. She's really willing to help people understand content. I think the bad reviews are coming from people that don't want to put in the effort to work and then blame their bad grade on her. I'd definitely recommend taking her!

She's a very sweet & relateable teacher. Very patient too when it came to Lab. She tells you all the materials you need to study, you just need to study. Microbiolgy is a difficult course & I took this class during the summer, so it was super fast-paced but if you listen to her lectures, read the book, do the hw, & study, you should be just fine.

Let me start off by saying she is tough. Pay attention to the syllabus-She is a tough grader, but is fair. She will take the time to make sure you understand the material but ONLY IF YOU ASK! I needed this class for a prerequisite for pharmacy school. This was one of my best classes, even though it was challenging. She's funny in her lectures

Make sure you pay attention to the syllabus because she sticks to it unless something out of her control happens and you have to buy/rent the textbook because the homework comes from it. The class is very challenging and requires a lot of reading but the professor uses real-life examples to help understanding and make things clearer, just ask.

This class was really good, and not as challenging as the lecture component. All the lab review questions in the lab book were to be completed before the next class and were graded. Additionally, the midterm exam, final exam, and unknown project made up the final grade. She offers lab review sessions that help, just make sure to read before class.

I took professor Cedeno last semester and found the class to be challenging but if you keep up with lecture readings and attend her review sessions (highly recommend and she has quite a few during the semester so take advantage) then you should do well. I found that communication with her is easy and she wants students to do well in class.

First and foremost, please read the syllabus as the professor does stick to this document. I liked her teaching style and she does try to get to know each of her students. The work is tough but expected of the lab course but I found that preparing by reading ahead on the lab will set up for success. This is not an easy A class, put work into it.

I've noticed that some previous reviewers didn't read the guidelines..."Don't forget to proof read!" Some reviews had "text talk"-we are future medical professionals! Professor Cedeno: great teacher, interactive labs, and has high expectations for her students! If you didn't feel well prepared or successful that may your fault.

Professor Cedeno broke down what to expect throughout the course. She is very understanding and will be very helpful if you reach out to her about what you are having trouble learning. This is a science course, not an art class. It is not supposed to be an easy A. Pay attention to the syllabus and the required text, and you will do well.

Microbiology is a very difficult class but Professor Cedeno is great! Very clear on grading and what's expected. She holds study secession before every class that reviews topics discussed in lab, lecture, and is willing to help if you don't understand a concept. You have to study (but that's a given) would 100% take her again!!

Professor Cedeno was awesome to have for the summer, though it was a tough class she was very patient and understanding. she will go above and beyond for her students which is a great quality. Once your prepared by reading what she gives to you as a student, the you will pass the class with ease.

I had Cedeno for both lab and lecture, and while I think it's the hardest class I ever had to take I'm glad it was with her as my teacher. She's tough, but she's really knowledgeable and will work with you to help you succeed. There's a lot of extra credit opportunities, and if you work hard there's no reason why you should fail.

I took this class during the summer semester. Honestly, it is a lot of info but she gives a lot of study tips at the beginning and throughout to make sure ppl know to put work in. She is encouraging but also holds you accountable. I prob learned more from her class than any other because she makes you learn it.

I took Prof. Cedeno for Micro Lab. Great teacher. VERY EASY GOING. The material is hard, but thats because its microbio. Not everything is gonna be easy in life so grow a pair and take her. She has a heart unlike many teachers and her class was way more fun than A&P lecture. You should use this opportunity to sign up for her classes. Dont be Late!!

The course subject is difficult already but the professor does a good job in teaching the subject and relating to real life applications. She is sturn on following syllabus but allows for you to schedule office hours when needed and open to walking thru lectures. She holds online review sessions which help in test prep. I took this prof during a 6 week summer ses. She made bio easier to understand. She does short lectures with lots of analogies, then gives review worksheets which count as EC - spoiler alert, the questions are similar to what you see on the test. There's a lot of connect assignments but they are weighted almost equally to exams so its easy to pass.

The reviews of this professor seem to be one sided on low end which isn't fair. She is tough but fair and makes the subject matter digestible. She makes herself available for office hours and holds online review sessions which is very helpful. I think people who rated negative was looking for an easy A and didn't happen. Read and study!

Being an online class - you have to be organized and make sure you are keeping up with coursework. Professor stresses reading syllabus and keeping up on communications thru portal. It was challenging course but learned alot and was thankful for someone who did show she cared about students. I would take her again.

I took her for 2025 summer session 2 course and had a great experience. Her lectures are more like discussions and she asks input with real life scenarios. Never had any problems understanding material.

I had professor Cedeno last term and thought she did a great job in communication of material. I took Professor Cedeno for a condensed Micro course, and she was amazing. She was very good at explaining the difficult concepts and clear about what material would be on the test. She offered several opportunities for extra credit and responded to emails within a day. I would highly recommend taking her for any classes you can.

Prof Cedeño is one of the best biology instructors I have ever had the pleasure of taking a class with. I have always struggled with this material, but with her, it was easier and fascinating. She uses a digital Textbook that includes quizzes. And give extra credit activities. She is willing to help you as far as she can. 10/10

My experience with Professor Cedeño was great. I took BSC2010 Lab, and I very much enjoyed it. She strikes the perfect balance between strict and fun, welcoming, interesting, and intellectually challenging. Be on time and prepared and you'll do fine.

I took her for BSC2010, but it wasn't an option here. Best biology professor I could've asked for. Very kind and teaches material in a digestible manner+sometimes uses mnemonics. I'd recommend going to her lectures as much as possible. She tended to give in-class work, but she graded them very easy.
