Dr. G is awesome! Def recommend him for next semester!
Had Dr. G for Chem 227 and will have him again for Chem 228. Dr G explains concepts very well and offers outside-of-class help via office hours or his Orgtube channel. Exams are straightforward and you will get an A if you participate in all the resources he offers. He's genuinely caring and funny so lectures are always fun. Highly recommend!!!
Dr G. makes his lectures funny with analogies to help you remember material. His exams are similar to the practice exams he makes. He also gives around half the aktiv homework that my friends in other sections get.
Professor Ghanbaripour is likely the greatest professor to ever grace TAMU. Simply put he makes a class often regarded as the most difficult, easy. The volume of material he provides for students to use (specifically his YT OrgTube) outside of class is incredible. He is always available and super entertaining. Can't wait to have him again.
Dr. G delivers the material clearly and with memorable metaphors. He manages to get through the material with plenty of time for questions without making the lectures feel rushed. He has a great Youtube channel where his students are able to both review the information after class. His practice exams are very similar to the real exams.
I took Dr. Ghanbaripour for CHEM 227. He is a great professor that teaches the concepts very well. His office hours are very useful. If you are struggling on a topic he will take the time during office hours to make sure you understand the topic well. If you are looking for an Ochem prof, Dr. Ghanbaripour is the way to go!
Dr.G was a great organic chemistry professor. His exams were very fair as the material on the exam reviews reflected what were on the actual test. Additionally, the homework was typically relevant to the content on the exams as well. I enjoyed the way he explained things and he was pretty funny I would recommend him for anyone to take him!
I really enjoyed Dr. G's course, his lectures were easy to sit through and generally easy to follow. Throughout the semester his exams got more difficult but he never surprised us untaught material. He has a unique sense of humor that made the class more enjoyable. He also made a plethora of videos on harder material which helped out a lot!
Dr. G is amazing!!! I went to office hours almost everyday because I was struggling towards the beginning of the semester and he helped so much that I'm projected to (hopefully) get an A! His exams are very fair and he provides adequate reviews to prepare for them. Make sure to take him for OCHEM 1!
Dr. G is my favorite professor that I've taken so far. He clearly cares, wants your success, and is very kind. His tests cover his reviews: if you study properly (by which I mean consider every possible thing that could be asked along the same lines as the review), you will do well. Focus on what he writes on the board and go to office hours.
i LOVE dr. g! such a great prof, very caring and funny. super knowledgeable. it's clear he wants you to succeed in his class. lectures are very helpful and entertaining, and he is always open to questions. tests are just like the reviews, and the homework is pretty straightforward. he makes helpful youtube videos also. TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!
Dr. G is a pretty good prof! OChem as a subject is just generally difficult, but he made it doable. His practice exams are very similar to the exams themselves, so study those. His lectures are definitely helpful, slightly boring but that's just ochem. He also has a YT channel with a lot of helpful videos as another resource.
His lectures are super helpful so be sure to take notes! He also posts his notes. Plus extra videos to his YouTube channel for extra help! He takes attendance every class (even if he is sick) and it counts towards your grade. His practice tests are very helpful for the exams and the exams covered what we learned in class, no crazy curveballs.
Dr.G is a great organic chemistry professor. He is very clear on what is expected of his students and always provides helpful resources to learn the material such as his YouTube videos. The class is not easy by any means but he tries his best to make the material easy to understand.
Ghanbaripour is an excellent professor. Outside of his beautiful analogies, he's very kind and accessible. His tests are exactly like his mock exams, which helps you prepare. Best OChem prof at TAMU by far!
Watch his youtube videos and STAY AHEAD if you want an A don't do everything last minute. Reviews and youtube videos are key to doing well on exams. Dr G. is very funny and very honest and won't waste your time with useless info. He's big on respect so pay attention and don't talk while he lectures. Usually curves the class as well by a few points.
Dr. G is a king. Although I am gonna fail his class #LOL, its not his fault. He is so kind and loves to just talk. Super funny during lectures and makes the most epic youtube videos of all time. GOAT
One of my favorite professors I've had so far at A&M. His lectures are great, he's a great guy, and he's always willing to help you out in the class. He has 4 exams, drops the lowest, and has either a 3 or 4 point final grade roundup. Very good OChem professor!
Loved having Dr. G. He provides so much practice and will prepare you very well for exams. OChem is hard but Dr. G makes it very doable and clear-cut. I also loved that he went over MCAT and DAT concepts with us, even if they weren't in the curriculum. Super funny and caring guy, everyone should subscribe to OrgTube. Take him!
Dr. Ghanbaripour was a great professor. On top of great lectures, he posts videos on more examples of everything covered in class. He provides a generous curve along with extra credit for class evaluations. His exam review videos are extremely helpful and he goes over them in depth. Overall, I would highly recommend Dr. G for any student.
OChem 2 is HARD. Luckily, Dr. G makes the entire learning process easier to handle. He goes through problems during the lecture which helps you understand the mechanisms. Homework is in AKTIV. He makes an exam review which helps a lot for the actual exams. Also, Dr. G has a YouTube channel and they are very helpful for learning. Go sub to OrgTube.
Thank you, Dr. G for the best Ochem II experience ever! Dr. G is knowledgeable and caring. Clear expectations from day 1, consistent grading turnaround, and personable lecture style. Highlights MCAT/DAT concepts. Offers incredible supplementary support through his YouTube channel @orgtubeR. Want an A? Work ahead + watch his videos MULTIPLE times.
Dr. G is a great prof! 4 exams (lowest dropped), final, HW, & attendance make up your grade. He posts an exam review which is similar to actual exams. Come to class, watch and take notes on his YT videos, and make flashcards to memorize reactions. Like his videos and subscribe to his YouTube channel.
Was a wonderful professor had him for both semesters of Organic chemistry and is very open to answering any questions, along with posting videos for important concepts needed for the course. He provides all the resources needed to be successful for the course and exams were average in difficulty.
Took him for both organic I and II and did well in both. Attend class and watch the videos he make, they explain reactions so well. Reviews are similar to the exams but don't try to memorize the reviews, actually know the concepts. Professor will answer any questions, so don't be afraid to ask them. This class still requires a lot of studying.
Prof G, is really good. Just beware, he does i-clicker for a grade every class. The practice tests are identical to the actual tests. Very clear and explanatory lectures
Professor G. was amazing. Aside from his lectures, he also provides YouTube videos that makes it easier for students to grasp the materials. Chem is hard in general, but I would recommend Dr. G as a professor. He is funny and caring. You will just have to study a lot for this class.
He's funny but his lectures cover a lot of stuff. Would highly recommend attending SI sessions. Overall, good guy. Wish I could take him again for CHEM 120.
The absolute best chem professor. Lectures were very clear and engaging. Lots of iclickers for extra credit but you only need 70% of them to get the full credit. Very understanding and considerate of his students. He makes review videos and practice exams that are extremely helpful and make it easy to earn an A, I love him!
He funny, Homework is super easy (if you dont know how to do it you can see a very similar example), weekly. You have to purchase something for the homework, and more for lab. Lab sucked but thats unrelated to him. Tests are veryyy similar to reviews. Probably easier because I took AP Chem in highschool tho.
He is by far the worst professor I have ever had. He is rude, unhelpful and unfunny. It's clear he does not want to teach this class as he only reads off the slides and says we should already know the material. Also, homework never coincides with lectures. The only good thing about him is that the reviews are nearly identical to the exams.
As someone who didn't take AP chem, his class is great. He's interactive with everyone and does iClicker so attendance is mandatory. He has good humor and honestly, the large amt of homework (ALEKS) really helps because practice makes me understand the concepts better. His videos are literally godsend, literally life-changing. ATTEND THIS CLASS!!
Dr. G is very knowledgeable and helpful. The reviews he creates for his exams are very similar to the actual exams, and his YouTube videos are helpful for understanding course content. The class is designed for students to do well if you actually pay attention and access the materials he posts for you.
He is super knowledgeable about everything. He enjoys talking to the students, but be ready to work because he forces you to learn, which is helpful. The only thing is that it's pretty clear that he likes teaching OChem more because he sometimes stops to talk about concepts we don't need, but even then it's still good information for the future.
I took Dr. Ghanbaripour for Chem 119, and I would 100% take him again, hopefully for organic. I had to do a little self-studying outside of class for his exams, but Dr. Ghanbaripour created very useful exam study guides that are EXTREMELY similar to the actual exams. Also, his YouTube videos on his channel, OrgTube, were very helpful!
TAKE PROFESSOR G!! He is literally the best. He made all the topics very easy to understand and always was there to help if you didn't understand. He cares for everyone and wants everyone to do their best. As a freshmen coming into chemistry I was a little worried that it would be hard for me but he made it very manageable and was super organized.
Any negative comments about this guy are from students who do not put in the work for the class. He is funny, caring, always at office hours, and takes his own time to make supplemental material for his students. Pay attention to the practice problems in class. Do your Aleks and study the test review! I got a B from bad lab grades, not Dr. G.
He is honestly such a funny and caring professor. I thought his lectures were pretty good and he has a LOT of supplemental materials to help. He posts a lot of lecture and review videos which are very helpful. His exam reviews are practically the same as the exams so if you do well on those, you will do well on the exams.
Great professor, great at teaching and always seems happy to be there. His practice test are almost identical to his real test and if you study those you will do fine. Follow his youtube and instagram @orgtube.
Dr. G is a fun professor, he knows what he is talking about and gives short cuts to thing which I find very helpful. Sometimes he goes over concepts a little too quickly but the ALEKS helps with that. He also makes youtube videos explaining the harder concepts which is really nice. Overall a funny, and caring guy.
He is amazing. Its just a harder class but he does very well explaining everything.
Explained everything really well and was a funny professor but his accent is pretty thick and can be difficult to understand when talking about some of the more complex topics. Responded to emails slowly but loved the YouTube videos that helped explain a lot.
The only people who will dislike Dr G are mouth breathers. Dr G is literally the goat and this class was so fun and easy because of him. I will miss his dubious smile. If you have taken chemistry before you will be chilling in this class.
He is one of the best professors I've had. I would take him again if I could. He is nice, caring, and explains chemistry pretty well (as someone who failed high school chemistry). His youtube channel is extremely helpful. Lab was the hardest part of the class for me.
This professor was hilarious and charismatic during class time. He posts YouTube videos to provide additional help for his students during the semester which were extremely helpful. He makes chemistry more enjoyable if you do not already enjoy it. Homework is also very doable and gives that extra practice.
Chemistry is hard for me, but Dr. G didnt make it complicated. It was easier than AP chem in HS. Test are really short, so make sure to know everything 100%. He is funny in lecture tho. You have to show up to get attendance credit. Study and show up. It is doable even though I struggled.
I liked Dr. G a lot, very funny in class which made lectures enjoyable. In the beginning, he read off the slides but got better as the semester went on. Chem was never my thing but the class is set up with many safety nets to help your grade. Test reviews are very similar to the test so always do those. Strong accent if that bothers you.
This was my first chemistry class, and Dr. G made the transition easier. He is very compassionate and cares about his students. He makes videos consistently and makes it easier for us to catch up.
This was the first chemistry class I have ever taken and Dr. G made the transition easier for me. He is very compassionate and you can tell he cares about his students. He makes videos consistently to help us catch up. Overall very well rounded professor!
Chem 119 has been the bane of my existence during college. This is my third time taking it and Dr. G not only gave me the knowledge and power to pass, but to get a decent B. Rashid seriously gives his students every opportunity to succeed while also grasping the concepts, with reviews that are similar to the tests. Over all, fantastic teacher.
Dr. G was great! He rounds up hw if your average is 90% and above. Ickicker grades also get rounded to a 100% if above a 70%. Tests are just like the review sheet and his YouTube videos are helpful!!
Very nice and funny professor. He isn't the best at explaining some of the concepts so you will need to learn on your own for certain topics. He gives study guides for the tests which help out a lot. At the end of the semester he gives out a lot of extra points for certain things. Class isn't too hard as long as you try to study a little bit
TAKE THIS CLASS. Dr. G is an amazing prof and makes lectures so entertaining. He posts extra videos for topics and the test reviews. He does have an accent but you'll def get used to it. You only need 70% on Iclicker to get full points but go to class as he sometimes gives you specific examples to work on for the test!
Dr. G is a funny guy and entertaining but his lectures leave quite a bit to be desired. While they do go over most of the content you need to know, you might leave class without a great understanding of the topic if it is completely new to you. Luckily the tests are incredibly easy and he writes reviews that are pretty much a 1 to 1 to the test.
Best professor I have had! Went from hating chemistry to loving it! Very good teacher who cares about his students.
a good choice for chem. only went to lecture for iClicker points and taught myself material outside of class. has really good reviews for the tests. the only negative thing abt him is that he is very clear/ kinda harsh abt not bothering him abt your grade or any extra credit. dont rely on there being a curve. i got my hopes up abt my 89.4 curving:(
Best prof ever! I had the pleasure of taking Dr.G and I wish he could follow me through all my chem classes! Do the reviews, and hw and you'll make an A
Dr. G is the best professor I had this semester! He is great at lecturing and teaching the course content, the exam reviews were basically the same as the actual content on the exams. Only reason I didn't get an A is because I didn't study in first half of semester. I would definitely take him again if I could!!
Dr. G is amazing! I took the class and ended up with an 89.86, but he rounded it up to an A! Go to every lecture, complete ALL assignments, and introduce yourself. You'll do great as long as you work hard.
Best professor I've ever taken
He posts youtube reviews that are just like the exam, funny guy and wants everyone to succeed, labs are more tedious than the class, very doable A as long as you try in the lab
Dr. G is my favorite professor at A&M. My exam 1 grade was a 60. I immediately met with Dr. G who walked me through each mistake and assured me I could do well in his class. (I did.) He is very encouraging, hilarious, and hella smart. Definitely take one of his classes if you can. I am not STEM-minded, but Dr. G made me really enjoy chemistry.
Dr. G was great! He does have an accent but he was still easy to understand. Attendance is apart of your grade so go to class as much as you can! Also, his YouTube channel (OrgTube) is incredibly helpful.
Dr. Ghanbaripour was very clear on his expectations from the first day of class. No extra credit or curves, but as long as you do the review it is usually ok. Lots of studying required, but the homework is easy.
Dr. G isn't the most interesting lecturer, but he makes his class easy to succeed in. His test reviews are almost exactly like his tests, and they're very helpful. Attendance is important, and iClicker is an easy grade booster as long as you attend class. The Aleks homework is sometimes very time-consuming. Overall an okay class.
Very good professor, makes lots of review videos on his personal youtube video that are extremely similar to his exams, he's very well spoken and makes the class extremely easy with his humorous analogies and he's VERY well educated on the subject. He was so good I intentionally chose to take him again when I saw he's teaching CHEM257 this spring.
Beginning was tough, but he ended up being one of my favorite prof. He is so funny and engages w the class a lot. His study guides are amazing, I would go through them 2-3 times for exams & it really helped my scores (F's to B+s). Just do the ALEKS and study guides and you'll pass. I'm basing my entire next semester on having him be my OCHEM prof.
After taking a few weeks of CHEM120 with a bad prof, I'm here to say that Dr.G is the best professor for chemistry. He makes his exams easy and you actually are able to learn the content. I hated on him a bit just because he was rude when I asked for help, but he is otherwise a really good professor.
His exams were nearly identical to his reviews and his Youtube channel was extremely helpful (Shoutout OrgTube). The homework takes some time but overall it is really helpful in helping you learn the material. He isn't the best lecturer but he wants to see his students succeed and making an A is not hard. So excited to hopefully get him for OChem!
Dr. G was great. The class is definitely a difficult one but he has a youtube channel that is very useful and gives exam reviews that are similar. Tests are still hard but he is helpful.
Dr. G has a unique sense of humor, but he cares about his students and their success. He likes to point out concepts that may show up on pre-professional exams, he posts videos about challenging topics and these videos contain many examples and are easy to follow. His lectures are easy to follow even though the material is tough.
Dr. G was an amazing professor! I was really scared to take organic chemistry and he made it better! He gives practice tests for each test and review videos for each unit. His practice tests are similar to the actual test and he tends to give partial credit since the tests aren't multiple choice. Attendance is highly recommended!
Dr. G is a G! He is always willing to answer questions in office hours and his youtube videos are generally very helpful!
Dr G is honestly an amazing professor I understood orgo literally thanks to him! His videos are really helpful as long as you do all the work and watch his videos you should be good! He looks like he'd be mean but he really does care for his students! Definitely recommend will take him for orgo 2👍🏻
Dr G was fantastic! As long as you go to class and watch his videos (do lots of practice problems) his tests won't be too difficult. All tests were fairly straightforward, with no surprise questions and he really cares about helping students learn! 10/10 recommend
Dr. G is the best!! He is so kind and caring towards students and seriously wants you to succeed. Practice tests are so similar to actual exams. Watch his videos and you will do fine! I got 60s on two exams but still got an A because he drops the lowest test.
Dr. G is one of the best professors I've ever had, and 100% the best in his department. He cares about his students, and his lectures are engaging and very entertaining. He is extremely clear about what will be on the exams, and you can definitely get a good grade if you go to lecture, do the homework, and study. You'll actually learn in his class!
Dr. G is funny, nice, smart, and fair. The best part of his 119 class I found was his youtube account and study guide videos. He goes through a mock exam before each test and the actualy test is the same exact format with different numbers. Not only does this make your life easier, but you still learn the material. I hope I get him for O Chem!
This was my 2nd time taking Ochem, 1st time I got a D (dif prof), and with Dr. G I got an A. He gives homework that is actually useful, practice exams, and YouTube vids that he makes that were the most helpful to me. His lectures are very good, keep you engaged and he is just very good at explaining Ochem which obv is not an easy course. Take him!!
Guys this is ....
I took Dr. G in Fall of 2024. Don't be on phone in lecture; just focus on the content. Mandatory Iclicker for an attendance grade. Homework was long, but I think it's the same no matter which professor you take. His exam reviews are lifesavers, plus he has a Youtube channel for explaining content. Very caring professor even if he doesn't show it.
A pretty easy Prof when in comparison to the other Chemistry Ones. His tests are significantly easier than other Professors and the review he gives before the test is pretty similar to the one you see on test day. If you do the Homework and lock in on the quizzes your green.
This professor is actually the goat when it comes to giving extensions and not overlapping with other exams that week. If people ask, he actually listens. If your taking it as a prerequisite for engineering, just know that if you didn't take AP chem, you will have to study a lot outside of class though.
A caring professor who cares when his students are loaded with exams for other engineering courses--think quiz extensions, iClicker leniency, etc. However, you must pay attention and learn the material, especially if you didn't take AP chem, or you won't do well on exams. Allocate time for homework and studying, as this is an engineering course.
issues mainly come from bad studying habits and not paying attention in lectures, which is what happened to me until the end of the semester. he will help if needed and is extremely caring when it comes to giving extensions. only other issue is quizzes will not align with lectures or homework due dates.
There are a lot of concepts in this course, but Dr. G is a G at teaching it. He provides many resources to help you learn and he provides leniency on dates before quizzes and other engineering exams. His exams are much easier than the quizzes but you have to study for them especially if you didn't take AP chem. Attendance mandatory due to iClickers
Really funny, amazing guy. Tests are easier than other professors, drops lowest quiz and gave extra credit for giving a class review. Great to talk to as well. Sometimes accent can be a bit hard to understand.
The best way to do well in this class is to review the material before lecture ngl. I would have a really hard time getting through lecture due to not having AP chem background and reviewing before class. He goes through lectures quite fast which I also found to be quite hard to follow, you'll either perform well or pretty bad tbh.
He was great in all aspects. Yes the class can be hard but you could really tell he cared about his students and as long as you pay attention its not a bad class at all.
Incredible professor. By far my favorite professor this semester! He took a subject I hated in high school and made me look forward to going to his class. He is hilarious, and really cares about his students. Take him if possible! Don't skip class, he uses iClicker for attendance and participation.
Incredible professor. By far my favorite professor this semester! He took a subject I hated in high school and made me look forward to going to his class. He is hilarious, and really cares about his students. Take him if possible!
Love Dr G. Overall the best Chemistry teacher here cares about the students and can teach very well. he also has a lot of test review resources like his YouTube channel and office hours. His quizzes are a bit hard but they make the tests very easy. Overall highly recommend him if you want the easiest way to get an A in Chem
Dr. G is such a good professor, he genuinely cares about the students and teaches very well. He moved a couple of our quizzes because he knew there were other exams happening on the same day, so he understands that his class isn't the only class that we're taking. He also has review videos on youtube which are really helpful.
If you have never taken AP Chem you will struggle in this class. I had a hard time following most of his lectures and he hardly has any resources outside his class besides a 10-20 minute video that he posts on canvas. Overall, if you have taken ap chem then your going to be ok, otherwise you have to study a LOT.
Easy class if you took AP Chem. If you didn't, just put in the work, and you will see the results. He is a funny guy and is willing to help you out. 3 Exams, with one of them being a final. He drops one quiz and averages ur lowest exam with the final. iClicker is kind of an L, but it's whatever. Best prof out of all the options imo.
He is a little hard to understand, but overall a great teacher, the quizzes are hard but the tests are much easier than other professors and he makes the lectures very funny, make sure you dont have to leave early though because he will have I-clickers for the last few seconds of class
Absolutely goated. Incredible lectures and very funny. Class is pretty difficult if you have not taken AP Chemistry in high school but I ended up getting an A, mostly due to having Dr. G.
Take Dr. G for Chem 107! Never took AP Chem but he made it bearable. Tests are WAY easier than quizzes imo, study the review he drops and you'll be fine--basically the same as the test or final. Drops 1 quiz, rounds homework, attendance, and bonus points on the final. Loved him, my goat
Overall really great professor. Like any 107 section there's about 1-2 hours of homework a week and iClicker for every lecture.
He's a pretty funny dude during lecture. Quizzes seemed way harder than the tests so make sure you study for those.
The professor's lectures are great and sometimes entertaining. The class uses iClicker for attendance and assessing understanding and Cengage WebAssign for hw. The quizzes (free response and mcq) are harder than the exams (mcq only). Expect around 6 hours of hw per unit if you have previous experience.
Funny professor, does a great job at teaching such a large class, lectures are as interesting as they can be. Class itself isn't too hard, basically like AP Chem, just moves faster. The quizzes are a little harder but the exams are pretty easy and if you do the hw and take notes on the lecture slides you'll know how to do everything on the exams.
This professor is difficult to work around. If you must miss an exam, he will make the make-up exam significantly harder; the average will be 25 points lower, and he will not curve it. Aside from that, there were many instances where he set hard deadlines and would accept absolutely no excuses, even university-accepted ones.
Good professor. He lectures fast and sometimes skims over things, and his accent can be difficult to understand at times, but great overall. Exams are relatively easy (especially compared to the quizzes) and are extremely similar to the reviews incl. final), and his YouTube videos are super helpful.
Hands down the CHEM 107 GOAT. Very caring and receptive to questions, iClicker is an easy grade booster. His exams are way easier than other profs, and he gives a review for them (final included) that matches the real thing perfectly. Quizzes are insanely difficult, but those are designed by the department and not Dr G, so study hard for them.
Jam-packed slides with completely unnecessary information, drowning out important content. Very unresponsive to emails; tells you not to email him altogether. Will NOT work with you regarding due dates/excused absences, regardless of the severity of the extenuating personal circumstances.
Chemistry GOAT. Not the greatest lecturer, but he does have a Youtube channel where he goes over topics learned in class. Definitely try to get good grades on the first two exams, as he kind of skimmed over the last third of the class. Quizzes were kind of hard, but exams were easier than other profs. Study hard and this class should be an easy A.
Absolutely great professor! He knows what he's talking about and takes students' opinions into account. OChem is just a hard class, but he helps make it digestible. Not a pushover, but genuinely cares about his students and has a great personality! Uses iClicker (70%< gets full credit), Aktiv HW (90%< gets full credit). Very exam heavy!
While the class is content heavy, the resources provided and abundant lectures w/ fun analogies makes the topics memorable and applicable when following along.
Overall Dr. G was a great teacher the material can just be hard at times.
Dr. G is literally the goat. Bro has me cackling during lecture, and often uses analogies to let concepts stick to your head. His main shining point though are his test reviews and exams. Exams follow somewhat closely to the test review (you cant rely on this only though) and if you can do the all the lecture examples cold you will be fine.
Dr. G is amazing. He was clear with his expectations for each exam and announced when topics would not be tested. He lowered the "A" cutoff to an 87 and had the final replace the lowest exam grade. This class requires a lot of studying due to memorization, but his exams are fair and his YouTube videos are helpful. He is also a very funny prof.
His first time teaching the course was Fall 2025, so he didn't have multiple past exams for extra practice only 1 or 2 in total. He isn't a very clear lecturer, so expect to watch his videos or other videos on your own time to truly understand. Quizzes are way harder than the actual exams but the lowest quiz gets dropped. Nice guy, gives extra help
Dr. G is hands down one of the best teachers I've ever had. He teaches the material really well and manages to make complicated topics seem clear as day! He does have a pretty thick accent, personally it didn't bother me but some might struggle understanding it. He's an amazing prof which makes up for it imo. TAKE DR. G IF YOU CAN!!
Chill prof, tends to skip over stuff sometimes, but if you've taken AP Chem in HS before you'll be fine. Quizzes can be a bit hard, but as long as you do well on the exams you can still get an A.
Great prof, definitely cared about his students. 107 was tough since I didn't take AP chem, but Dr G did everything he could to boost our grades, including extending quiz deadlines if we had exams for other classes that day, or 5 extra points on our final exam, which I'm pretty sure he was the only 107 prof to do so. Occasional 67 joke in lectures.
He was a good prof, just pay attention to the lectures and you should be fine.
Dr. G is a great professor. Although he lectures a bit quickly, he truly cares about teaching and even makes his own videos and reviews that are extremely helpful for quizzes and exams. Glad I had him as my professor.
Best professor for Chem-107. Very clear for what the exams should look like, and is very flexible with all the grades. Cares about students and wants to see success. Sometimes unclear with lectures, but provides videos to ensure clarity.
Dr. G was a decent professor. I was often stressed because I wasn't always sure what to focus on. I found the homework and quizzes (15% of the grade) harder than the exams. The test reviews before each exam were very helpful. I relied a lot on outside resources to learn the material.
Dr. G's lectures are relevant, and he is an engaging and funny professor. His office hours are really helpful. Never miss an exam because the makeup exam is much worse. If you do the course evaluation, you get an extra 5 bonus points on the final exam, which averages with your lowest test grade. His office hours are quite helpful.
Take the time to watch his videos and review lecture notes before and after going to class. Study hard for the tests and you can get an A.
