Mathematics would be considered the worst possible subject, but the way she taught made everything so easy to understand. I'm unsure about which math the others here were referring to, but the one I was in didn't use formulas whatsoever. She taught us to solve problems with the use of the financial calculator.

Don't listen to any of the bad reviews about her. I have her for MATH 1131 and she is amazing. As long as you show up, listen, and put effort in you will pass with flying colours. She moves slowly if you don't understand the content and always answers questions. She is good at explaining and cares that you do well. Nice teacher and person.

Ms. Ramachandran is definitely one of my favourite professors! I dropped MATH1131 the first time I took it because the prof was very bad. During my second time taking MATH1131 - this time with Prof. Ramachandran - everything was clear, and I was able to understand and successfully use the course material in other subjects. She was available for any questions I had re: explaining concepts. She was excellent!!!

This professor was so AMAZING!!! She really cares about her students and won't move on from one topic if all students are not understanding it. You will not be failed for not participating in class, though I recommend you attend all the classes just because of the way she explains the material is very hands-on. I was able to get an A+ in the degree level math (BMATH 1003) because of how organized she runs the class and how well prepared we are from her inclass review/ work sheets so there were NEVER any suprises. Whether you're good at math or not definitely recommend - I don't think she could have sensibly done any more to ensure we succeed!
