Only two tests, that you really have to study for, with long answers. There is a group project (only teacher that does it) which isn't so bad, but changes each year. Is very nice and keeps office hours. Attendance important on certain days he announces. Little bit soft spoken/messy writer so sit near the front if you want to follow along.
Course consists of mid-term, final, and group project. Difficult exams. Final took me 2 hours for 51 questions. Overall nice professor. Need to study hard and go over questions online for corresponding textbooks. Some answers are directly from that. Both qualitative and quantitive questions on exams.
Probably one of the best teachers in the school of business. Very thorough and tells you everything that you will be tested on. Definitely go to class because he explains all of the material in great depth. His teats are not that hard but very long three assignments that you do and get 10 points on your grade. I would definitely recommend him.
Great teacher. Tells you exactly what he is expecting. Definitely take him
Very good teacher. Makes you understand the concepts and is very logical. You still have to do a good amount of work, but it's enjoyable and practical.
I took two courses with Prof. Behara: MAN 6501 & MAN 6581 OPERATION MANAGEMENT AND PROJECTS MANAGEMENT, in my last MBA semester. He is dedicated, sharp, nice and expects thouroug work. He does offer prep-exams online to help your grade on the mid-term and final. Has a wealth of knowledge in the real world and a ton of information in his brains
Great guy, very clear about the topics and what he expects from you. Tests are straightforward but critical. Attendance not mandatory.Always willing to help. TAKE HIM.
Excellent Professor for Project Management. He really knows his stuff and he is very helpful. He is also very smart and has been very flexible with our grades... as long as you complete all your projects and he notices your participation in class.
Take him!!!
Took him for operations in the spring. He is really good at explaining things and relating them to real life. NOT your typical power point instructor. He also gives extra points on his tests and grades very fair. TAKE HIM !!!
Great teacher. Highly recommend taking.
He is an asset to FAU.
Highly recommend this professor. He is thorough, patient, and fair. Enjoyable to learn from; he gives good real life examples that make sense. A very good teacher. I agree, his is an asset to FAU.
Great professor. Clear and straight forward. Really fair the way he grades. It is only 3 exams with 2 parts ( math and theory)and 2 assignments. The assignments were really easy, so it helps your great to go up.
Awesome teacher!! very kind. Take him you won't regret it. I thought I was failing, but I came to him for help. I was able to get A-
Fair grader, always willing to assist, gets back to any emails very quickly. This professor really cares about his students learning. Do the work, start assignments on time because if you get stuck he will help.
Worst professor ever, his tests are really hard, the tests are split up in two half multiple choice and words problems. He is terrible at explaining and he ignored my emails asking for help and guidance. Terrible professor that believes tests are the only way to succeed.
I don't know why anybody would say that this guy is bad! I'm an average B or C student and I passed this class with an A. The guy is so smart and he takes all his time to explain problems during office hours, he really cares about students and is a fair grader. Just try your very best, class is not easy but you can pass. This guy is great take him!
easiest online class ever
He is the guy. He is full of knowledge. I enjoyed watching his lecture. Highly recommend
An asset to the university. One of the best teachers you can take anywhere. Take him!
Very informative, full of real-world examples, makes you look at things from new perspectives
Test are super hard. 6 week class not recommended. He test on things that he doesn't go over. If your lucky, you will pass, but test are incredibly difficult.
Prepare for the hardest tests you will ever take in your life.
TEST ARE SO HARD!!!NICE PROFESSOR BUT THE TEST ARE VERY DIFFICULT AND TIMED.
Yes, you will have to study in order to do well on his exams. simply showing up for class will and doesnt mean everything you heard will be on exam. YOU HAVE TO READ THE BOOK. If you read the book and pay attention everything is right in front of you. He keeps you interested during class and is very smart.
You must read the book in order to do well. Dr. Behara doesn't go over everything in class. He is very thorough with the stuff he does go over. Gives many real life examples and tells students the purpose of doing each chapter. He's also very helpful, sending timely responses to emails and answering questions. Take him for Operations Management!
I took him for the 6 week LCVS course and he was great. probably one of the smartest professors at FAU. Very engaging. Test can be a little hard, but if you watch the videos and do the homework you will be fine
Tests are hard if you don't study. Homework is just like test. Really smart teacher, happy I took him.
I'm currently taking him online.. Pretty tough, there's 4 tests, no graded homework and a research paper. Tests are pretty difficult. No study guides and his lectures isn't everything he tests you on. Do not take this if you have a heavy load already. He's a great professor though, really loves what he does and the subject.
There are 3 tests and a really long research paper. You MUST read the book in order to pass. But, I must admitted the research paper was interesting to work on.
Prof Behara was great! Watch the lectures and take notes! Notes he gives in class will be very helpful for the exam! START YOUR PAPER EARLY! He gives the tests high enough percentages to not have to do the paper and still be able to pass, but DO THE PAPER. It was worth 10% If you don't mind putting in the work, this is the class for you!
It can be a boring class but he does his best to make it interesting. He is so clear when doing hw problems, and always lets you know exactly what are on the exam. You do need the book for concept questions and to do practice problems. I would take him again for any subject
Really sweet professor, extremely helpful and cares about education. The lectures are a bit long but he makes sure you understand each chapter before the tests.
Super hard class, exam is set to fail. Ridiculous. Stay away from this teacher, get other teacher. He will blame your computer instead of his proctor system that does not work with window 10. You are already stressed just try to download before the exam.
Study the material and you're golden. He is one of the best at FAU.
This man is a real gem. Extremely knowledgeable in this subject and really cares about his students. I took him for live capture and wish I had another class with him. Be sure to print out the handouts he gives but most importantly READ THE TEXT and you'll do just fine. Take him! you wont regret it :)
Professor Behara was wonderful. I took him for the lec cap 6 weeks summer course & was nervous but It wasn't too hard. Make sure you watch all the lectures bc he goes over the hw problems and examples that are on the tests. Only grades were 3 exams & he gave us extra 5 points on each. Just read the book & watch his lectures and you'll pass.
Professor behara is a great professor! Well educated in the field and is respected by his students. Class consists of 3 exams and a 5 page research paper. Tests are difficult but not hard enough to pass.
I didn't get much out of his lectures. Like my other management class, most of what he teaches is common sense, but there's a few technical things you have to know for the tests. My class was 3 exams (30% each) and a research paper on a fortune 500 company (10%) which was a little long but very simple work.
Professor Behara is a pretty solid choice. He was helpful and provided curves on the exams. The last exam was tough and to pass this class you'll need to read the book and maybe re-watch his lectures. Stay focused and be careful. This class requires you to put in some effort.
Took this in summer B lecture capture. 3 Exams and 3 graded HW assignments. Exams are proctored but you can use the book and hardcopy notes. Just study the math problems he gives in class and you'll do fine. They are worth more on the test. Everything else on the test can be looked up in the book. I only studied the math problems and got a B+
The professor isn't bad. I took him for Session 3 of summer 6 week class online video lecture capture. The only problem I had was you didn't get enough time on the test. He gave an almost 60 question exam for only 2 hours, and the length of the video stream lecture class was 3 hours. Always make sure you do and study the homework for the math part
The professor isn't bad. I took him for Session 3 of summer 6 week class online video lecture capture. The only problem I had was you didn't get enough time on the test. He gave an almost 60 question exam for only 2 hours, and the length of the video stream lecture class was 3 hours. Do the homework
Took recorded lecture format (online). Only 4 tests. No other assignments. You should definitely read the book before lecture to get a broader understanding, sometimes he likes to test on information from the book thats not covered in his lecture. Book isn't required though, but tests are open book and open notes, straight forward guy and class.
Lecture capture- 3 online exams that are open note and open book, but you still need to read the book and watch lectures to do well. Didn't read the book much and did okay on the first 2 exams but flunked the final. The only reason I got a B in the class was because I did the extra credit data project that earned me 10% added to my final grade!
Prof Behara was a really great teacher, he cares a lot about his students and makes sure to cover everything in depth. The class is not an easy A but he makes it easy for students to succeed in the class. Take him!
Behara was great. 3 open notes exams and a handful of HW. Exams are straight forward and typically 50/50 split of concept/math problems. He explains well and structures the 6 wk summer term very reasonable; anyone who puts in some effort will pass with an A! I definitely recommend him. (book NOT needed, I printed charts online and reviewed handout)
Prof Behara is one the best Operations management professors at FAU. Though his test is little hard, he spends a lot of time explaining the math problems. If you watch his lectures videos and do your homework, you will surely get a good score on his exams. By the way, he gives extra points after every exam. I recommend him.!!!
Dr. Behara was cool and took him over the summer. The textbook is important but unless he has to change books, you can find an older copy easily online for dirt cheap. Pay attention in class and you must understand the math problems in order to do well, other than that his exams were open book but that doesnt mean do not study.
Dr. Behara is a great professor. His lectures come to life with all the drawing on the screen. Buy the book for all the concept questions and tables, its cheap. 3 exam all open book/notes. Take notes on the math problems he does in class. Practice the ungraded homework and do the graded homework. All exams are timed for 2 hours, pace accordingly
Very generic business class with boring lectures. He is very bland with no personality and goes off topic usually for half of the lectures. This was not a hard class, but it was not an interesting class either. I wish he was more enthusiastic with what he teaches.
Dr. Behara is a good professor. Five discussions, four case analyses, simulation, and paper. Discussion boards are easy but require at least 400 words and one 100-word response. Case analyses on Microsoft Project are challenging, but he provides step-by-step video tutorials. Simulation is challenging. Paper is on a work project or research paper.
I took the lecture capture course. There are 3 exams each worth 1/3 of the grade and no homework, so if you mess up one exam it's hard to recover. His lectures are very boring and do not really prepare for the exams. You need to go over the textbook to really do well. If you follow the book + go over the math problems he assigns, you'll do well.
Terrible at preparing you for exams which is your entire grade, terrible professor with an annoying accent, makes you read the entire textbook to pass the test like were still in 2001 and terrible at explaining the math proportion especially for exam 2.
Professor Behara is a very knowledgeable teacher, but his 3 our online lectures are incredibly dull. He spends so much time on simple concepts that could be explained in 3 minutes. Open book exams are nice, but the book doesnt help much.
He made the class very straight forward. Material isn't that hard as long as you pay attention. Simple math problems and he clearly explains them. Tests problems are exactly what he lectures and practices. Do the practice problems and get an A.
Listen to the lectures and print out the follow along powerpoints for the lectures , read chapters, study/review materials/problems/definitions and should pass. A great professor, don't take his kindness for granted, put in the work and all good.
1. he has a strong accent 2. he doesn't get straight to the point a lot. rambles too much 3 get the chegg ebook (you can control f on exams- open book exams) 100% recommend 4 make sure you watch the lectures on how to do the problems 4 do the practice homework/quiz multiple times 6. read the book. don't really need to take notes, you can control F
I barely watched lectures, very boring and long. Tests are open book so definitely buy the book. Kind of a lot of homework.
The math on the exams have a weight of 55-65%. Do math 1st on exams. Exams are open paper notes and ebook (best option). He curves 4-5 pts. I think exam 1 is hardest. Dr Ravi is a VERY smart Prof. He really makes you work for it. Other Man op professors don't even have math. Full honorlock. You can't really prepare for concepts. Study key terms.
Prof. Behara... where do I begin. The man writes worse than a 5 year old. I'm not exaggerating lol his handwriting is not legible at all. He's not the greatest at lecturing either. He is quite monotone and his thick accent doesn't help either. Despite these negative characteristics he allows textbook open during exams and he does curve exam grades
Not the best but not the worst guy out there. Lectures were long and boring, never really found them helpful. You'll learn better by reading the book. His exams are open e-book and open paper notes. He curves 4-5 pts as long as no one else gets 100 on the exams. Math is very heavy on the exams, especially for exam 1 which I thought was the hardest.
Second term summer. Consisted of 3 exams & 3 homework assignments due the same day as each test. Make sure to get 100% on the hw. His lectures are horrible but make sure to know the math portion. His first test is the hardest and the rest are easier. He had to curve the first two tests because everyone did badly. Get the book on Chegg for the test
Dr. Behara is a no nonsense professor. He is not hard to understand. If you do the work, watch the lectures, and put the time in, you will do well - simple. Exams are honorlocked, open book, and not cumulative. Know the math for the exams as they are worth more points. CTRL + F through the book for concepts. Up to 5 point curve on exams.
Took Prof. Behara online. All of his exams were NOTHING like the hw or any of the study material he gave to prepare for the exam. There are 3 exams worth 25% of your grade, and the homework for the course makes up the final 25%. AVOID. I had to FIGHT for a B, and many people failed. He had to curve each exam to make the avg passing.
The most unhelpful professor I have ever taken. Was always passive aggressive in his announcements, never got one response from emails I sent him during the semester, and the exams did not reflect the homework at all.
DO NOT TAKE. Finished his first exam today with honorlock. The exam concepts were nothing like the homework that was given to you to do for a grade, NOTHING. You can find very few terms in the book (that is required of you to buy). I am failing now and it is going to set me back another semester. His lectures are 3hrs. Thanks Behara for nothing!
Not sure why anyone would have an issue passing this course. You can buy the ebook on chegg and CTRL+F for all the concept questions. As for the math (which makes up more than half your test grade) it is super easy as long as you watch the lectures. All you have to do is study the math material and you are basically assured a passing grade.
If you care about your grade, I suggest taking someone else. Very useless prof and extremely hard exams, nothing like the hw.
DO NOT TAKE HIM. We were allowed unlimited attempts for hw, he changed it to only 2 attempts halfway through semester. Half of info on exams were nun like homework. Made students more stressful than helping us. 9 vids 2hr 30+ ea. Thanks for delaying my graduation and only made class more stressful, cant believe i paid out of pocket for this...
I passed this class with an A and it was not too difficult. Tests are open e-text which is really helpful. Homework has unlimited attempts but he only grades the first two attempts. I would take this class again.
Ravi seems like a nice guy, but a terrible teacher. Unclear assignments/expectations, doesn't grade stuff until the end of the semester so don't know how you are doing or how to improve. Uses mult tech platforms that aren't intuitive/integrated. He drones on during class with minimal student interaction. Wasn't hard, but very boring & useless.
He does not let you use the correct tools for the assignments(statistical calculations and gives you a formula instead of letting you use excel)He adds multiple assignments on friday before exams on monday and is horrible at replying to emails. easily worst teacher ever If this is your only option for a professor, skip the semester and get a job.
This professor breaks down the material so well. He shows you exactly where to start each problem and step by step formulas or charts to work through them. There is no guess work when it comes to tests as he gives us pre-tests and although they are closed notes we get a formula sheet and full textbook access. Only downside is he is is anti excel.
Pros: Quick email responses, hw due on exam dates, unlimited hw attempts, 4-5 pt curve, helpful "extra hw" and "dynamic modules" (exam prep), hw deadline extension. Provides formula sheet & allows e-book on exams (math and concept are in the book - memory refreshers) Cons: LOTS of hw. Sometimes uploads more hw assignments few days before exams
Took this class online and i would say it is easy if you do everything you have to. The professor includes videos for the problems that will be in exams and they are very helpful. You get plenty of time to finish your assignments and as long as you read the material you will pass.
He was very kind. His class was has only hard because the exams are most of your finals grade. Things are all due once a month. I failed my first exam and then i got 100% in homework and i passed my other two exams and i passed with a B. He gives partial credit on exam which helps!!! At the end of the class he opened all assignments again.
Terrible professor. DO NOT take him for this course. I failed the first exam, got a B on the second and third exam, 100% on all assignments, and still failed. If I knew I would have failed the entire class because of the first exam score, I would have withdrew from it. DO NOT take him, save yaselves.
Took this class over the summer for 6 weeks. It was a lot of work, but professor Behara is great at explaining concepts and he is very understanding. You have to dedicate time to study to pass this class. Only graded on 3 exams and like 4 homework assignments per module. Exams are proctored but open book which really helps.
Professor Behara takes pretty boring information, making it relatable and easy to grasp. Very helpful when you need to ask a question or don't understand something. He also answers emails rather quickly. As long as you attend the lectures and do the work as he tells you too the class is an easy A
Mr. Behara as a professor is pretty lackluster. His lectures are longer than the stated time in the syllabus, he goes off on tangents, and is very condescending in emails when asked clarifying questions. For some reason he assumes the worst of any student reaching out. The good thing is the exams are easy as long as you practice the math.
Dr. Ravi is very caring and intelligent. Homework isn't necessarily easy and will make you want to punch a wall sometimes BUT you learn a LOT of project management. If you're interested in PM at all, please do take this elective. Dr. Ravi is very accessible outside of class. If you do the work, he is not a hard grader at all. Gives good feedback.
Great professor! Assignments and exams are pretty straightforward. Relatively easy as long as you watch the lectures and do the assigned readings. Excellent feedback on assignments. Very caring and understanding! Great communicator. Expect a course project, don't wait until last minute to start!!!
His exams are so difficult for no reason! He gives 3 Exam in total 60 questions for every exam. I wouldn't recommend taking him!!!
I wouldn't not recommend taking this professor's class. He makes the course unnecessary difficult ans assigns 60 questions for every exam, with a total of three exams thorough out the semester. I wish i had known in advance that he would make the experience so challenging. He also makes exam available only one day with is very irrelevant.
I really like this professor. I thought this was going to be my hardest class because it looks like a lot at first, but he really breaks everything down and makes it clear and easy to understand. The exams are open book and the math part is pretty easy as long as you follow along and do the practice hw. He cares and gives clear outline of the class
terrible professor, rude & very strict. Most professors would let you resubmit the assignment if needed. I accidentally answered the questions from the wrong part of the chapter in the book, gave me 0/100 and only gave me partial credit for resubmitting it. I genuinely did not want to get it wrong but still no mercy from him.
Professor Behara isn't a bad professor, but the way his class is structured can hurt you because his class is extremely test heavy. There are three exams in his class and they are weighed heavily. If you don't pass the tests, you won't pass the class, so study hard using his lectures and practice questions, not the textbook.
Heavy accent, hard to understand for me as a foreigner. I had no problems with other classes and had normal grades but with him, only Fs. Never understood why. Would issue infinite scantron test and never explain why my results were this bad, even though I thought I had the knowledge.
Had to redo a 60 question test because I didn't show him my work at the end. He sent a blast message to the class telling us we all had to redo the test. When I asked why he gave me the copy paste answer he gave to another student that replied to the message. Lame Prof who probably actually watches student do their test in his free time.
Summer full term online: 3 exams worth 75% of grade and HW adds up to 25%. HW is an easy A. Allows open E-Text for exams (very helpful). You really only need to learn/study the math problems to do good on exam. Strict on cheating but gave second chance to ppl he caught. Nice guy and always responds to emails. Curves exams by 3-4 points. Have an A.
He's obviously competent, but prof is pretty useless in terms of lectures. Goes on 3+ hours needlessly. Exams are open textbook (aka unnecessarily hard). I got a B overall from not watching lectures and focusing on the math, not horrible.
I took this in summer 2025. This is a very easy class. The exams are open book, so you can search in the ebook. The lectures are pointless as he is very boring, and the knowledge is not difficult. I do suggest watching some of the videos for some of the "math" done in the course as it is rather unique. In the sense that it is completely pointless.
