Great class! Professor Brannon makes this class very interesting, this is a class I actually look forward to going to. You can tell he puts a great deal of time into his teaching plans to make every class interesting and enjoyable.

Dr. Brannon is the best! He's super fun and gives you candy and he explains everything really well. I wish he taught all my classes.

Ray is the perfect teacher for this class. He keeps the students interested with his many personal stories that relate the to subject at hand. Even when he gets carried away with a story, he always manages to bring it back. Effective Speech is a class students do not want to take, but Ray makes everyone feel comfortable, helping us to do our best.

Being an adult learner, and having sat through hours of class time, I can say without hesitation that I would register for a class with Mr. Brannon again without hesitation. The format in which he presents material makes the class not only informative, but fun. His enthusiasm is evident and draws each of us in. Superb Professor!!!

Ray Brannon is an excellent teacher. Prior to the first day of class, I feared speeches and upfront presentations, but thanks to Mr. Brannon, I am comfortable talking infront of the class. Even though the class is three hours long, early in the morning, I do not mind going. His stories are always entertaining too! :)

i learned to watch out for falling cages in Second Life, which is pretty much the only reason i went to college, and i am forever grateful

Dr. Brannon Is a great teacher and more importantly he kept the class very interesting. Not only did he go far out of his way to make the class appeal to everyone there by assosiating real life with this class, if it was sports, jobs, homelife( parents), and etc. I have to say Dr. Brannon was my favorite teacher out of my 3 years at school. Ray is one of the most tremendous charasmatic people I have ever met. You'll enjoy his stories,random videos,and overall his sense of compassion for people in general.He's very flexible and pretty much impossible to fail his class unless you chose not to show up or flunk the quizes on purposes.

Honestly, one of the best professors I'v ever had. He's very animated and gets you into the lecture with both the media he uses in class and his very outgoing personality. If you read the material and pay attention, which is't hard to do trust me, theres no reason why you shoudn't get an A in his class. I highly recommend Ray Brannon.

Awesome professor! Extremely charismatic, funny, and very helpful. I can honestly say I look forward to going to his class. It's pretty laid back for the most part but is by no means boring. Hands down favorite professor i have had so far.

Professor Brannon is very energetic! He captures his audience which makes you want to learn. What he teaches is a valuable skill and his class should be manditory for all programs.

Ray knows and loves what he's doing, which makes him a excellent teacher. He is there for you when you need help and has a fantastic way of relating his personal life to the course which makes it all the more interesting and keeps you involved.

Ray is a really great professor. He's good at explaining things and he doesn't load you down with a bunch of irrelevant material. I learned a lot from this class. If I knew someone else with my major who had to take this class I would most definitely recommend they join one of Ray?s classes.

Spc 156 was a great class! he was just the coolest guy. He emailed me and always made sure I understood everything. Very polite and intelligent guy. He was just a good teacher. i had him online and want to take his humanities class at the school.

I have had Ray for 2 classes now, one in-class and one online. He teaches in a way that's very understandable, and quite frankly, not very difficult to obtain a good grade either. I feel like he makes everything in class relate to you and interesting to you as well. Would DEFINITELY take another class with him. A+++

I took Social Media online and thoroughly enjoyed the course. It was truly an enlightening class and very engaging with all the credit going to Mr. Brannon. In my two years of college, this was my favorite class. I looked forward to each weeks assignment. I would highly recommend this class and Mr. Brannon as a professor.

Ray is one of the best professors I have ever had. The class is easy, though I believe that makes it conducive to learning the concepts he is trying to convey. This is a guy that cares about his students and will go the extra mile to make sure anyone gets a fair shake..

Interpersonal Communication class. Mr. Brannon made this topic which I already had some previous knowledge and education on much more interesting than I ever thought it could be. He really cares about his students understanding the material. His goal is not to fail students but help them understand if they are having trouble. Highly recommend.

One of the best professors I've ever had. He genuinely cares about every student. He goes above and beyond help his students learn. Do yourself a favor and schedule him. In his classroom, you will talk and listen and debate and refute and instruct and learn and listen. He will impact your life in some way or another.

This was a very unique and interesting course. Being that we all use social media, there was an easier aspect to it but there is work to do. However, it was work I wanted to do, which is important in a college class.

Great teacher! In my small class, he has helped each one of us build our self esteem and not be afraid to talk. I have learned more from what Ray said than I will ever from reading and book, and I have never had a teacher that actually cared about the students as much as he does. Brannon was by far my favorite professor. He made class fun, put everyone at ease, and has a personality that draws people towards him. Speech wasn't a class I wanted to take, but I would take it over again just to have Brannon. He gave us helpful information on more than just speech, such as resumes, job hunting, etc. I can't recommend him enough!

Ray is one of the best professors IUP has. I wasn't too excited about SOC at first until I met Ray. He is enthusiastic and very helpful. He cares for every one of his students. I would take every single class with Ray if I could and would recommend him to literally anyone. TAKE A CLASS WITH RAY!!!

Brannon made me want to go out and become not only a better student, but a better person. He is so enthusiastic, caring, helpful and kind. Professor Brannon is not only a good teacher but a good guy. It's nice to know when your teacher is passionate about the material they are teaching. Hum140 taught me a lot about the digital revolution we are living in. I had a few unfinished assignments, which Professor Brannon allowed me to turn in after the final due date. The class is worth it!

I am a nontraditional age student that wanted to take this course to improve myself. This was definitely the class for me! His class is very interesting and informative. His discussion boards are mandatory and interesting. He always responded to your post with constructive feedback. I learned a lot about numerous topics in technology.

My favorite online class thus far, great teaching for a nontraditional "online" class, able to express opinions freely, blog and discussion board prompts allows you to participate and set yourself apart, received great feedback, overall favorite online professor - he is fair, smart, funny, involved.

I have had my fair share of good/bad professors so far in college. I was a visiting student this summer, & it is such a bummer that Professor Brannon does not teach at my college! He is such an awesome professor & an even better person! As long as you do the assignments & complete them on time you will pass! He cares & his feedback helps a lot!

Excellent class even though it was online. Never thought I would be able to do an online speech class, however, this was a great challenge that fit in with my busy schedule.

Fun class!

This class is hands down one of my favorite classes I have taken thus far. Ray Brannon lays out his class in a way that makes it easy to juggle between everything else students have going on. The speech part ISNT BAD - once you get comfortable talking in from of a camera (which he gives you reading material/tips/advice)! Cant recommend him enough!

I like many other students fear public speaking. Brandon made this fear go away almost instantly. He is understanding and compassionate to those who fear this class. It isn't an easy class by any means, especially if you are shy! With that being said, it will push you out of your comfort zone, which I think is always a great thing. I could see a clear difference from my first and last speech. Is a great class to take if you are aspiring to have a career that will require regular communication.

Professor Ray is very fair. I was late on quite a few assignments this past semester but he still let me submit them. I knew that he wouldn't be able to give me an A for what I turned in but he still let me have the next letter grade up which was very much appreciated. Also, he posts some pretty good memes on the discussion forum.

When I knew I had to take this class I was very uneasy and unhappy about it to say the least. It was up until I dove right into the class that I had no reason to be. No need to be perfect you just got to give it your best shot. Professor Brannon is a very cool guy, gives great constructive criticism, and down to earth. You will learn something here

I was very hesitant about taking this class, especially with it being online, but Professor Brannon has been great. Its obvious he truly wants his students to succeed, and he puts forth an effort to make sure we do exactly that. The speech assignments arent too hard, and the feedback he gives is genuinely helpful and confidence building.

I was truly intimidated by this class. I have learned so much from Professor Brannon and am now sad that the class has come to an end. You should not be nervous to take his class but instead excited!
