Mr. Brinker is an awesome teacher. He is very funny and easy to talk to. He explaines his let. well and hes tests are pretty easy-as long as you study. He's an awesome dude!

If math is a struggle for you and you want some inspiration in the subject, Mr. Brinker's the teacher to get. He is hilarious and shows so much enthusiasm toward the course material that you can't help enjoying it. I can't recommend him enough.

Starts off slow so you can get the hang of things and then gradually raises the bar...he is a very good teacher, very helpful, very humorous, keeps the class enjoyable, which is great if you think you don't like math!!! Get him for your next math course.

Brinker is the shiznit! My roommate and I are total Brinker groupies- he's funny, really nice.. just an awesome guy, and he made math easy for me, a journalsim major, so Go Brinker!

He starts off slow, and I mean REALLY slow--I'm talking about addition, subtraction, and basic fractions. He does this to help raise your confidence, so when you get to the harder stuff you feel more compelled to do it. Excellent professor for those who hate math.

TAKE BRINKER!!! He helps so much, makes it fun and interesting. Has quizzes almost everyday but you can use your notes, this boosts your grade dramatically! Hes awesome, I recommend!

If you have to take Math try to get this guy everytime. Best overall math teacher at WIU. Take him at Spoon River too for an even easier class.

He likes pop quizzes. 5 exams total, including the final which is cumulative. But only 36 questions and uses the same ones from previous tests. Very funny guy, likes to ramble, but in a good way.

love this guy! he's awesome! i've stuggled w/math my WHOLE life and he made it easy and fun! he'll take time out to help no matter what time or day it is (i've called him at home many times) and he doesn't mind! he truly cares and wants to help. he is the BEST teacher in the WIU math dept. hands down. FYI show up to class and do the work.

he's great, let's you come in late, letz you leave to smoke, but yet you still learn. he's amazing!

mr. brinker is awesome. you don't have to go to lecture... you just have to go to lab. he tells u not to go to lecture if u have something better to study for or to do. the tests are really easy; same as the practice tests, which you go over in lab. i love mr. brinker, and i want to have him for my next math class!!!

This class is really easy. He is quite a funny guy.

Teacher was always willing to help. allowed make up exams and do overs for higher grade. Very reccomended but this isnt an easy class at all so work your ass off, its worth it though!

He's ok but the last test is a pain in the but, theres no quiz for the last module so you really have to know whats going on! Other than that the class is really pretty easy!

Ray Brinker is a positive, well-liked professor who is perfect for teaching this course--a class where all the students struggle with math. He's very personable, cracks a lot of jokes and brings a good personality to class with him, so students actually look forward to coming. Exams and homework are done on lab days with your lab professor, but when you're with Brinker he goes through math problems with you on the overhead projector and explains them in a humorous, intriguing way that makes you listen. This is a classy professor who just might sharpen your math skills and help you become confident enough to enroll in the next course. Enjoy his class.

This class is very easy! There are a lot of quizes but he drops the 4 lowest ones! He shows you exactly what is going to be on each test! TAKE THIS CLASS!!!!!!!!

Extremely Cool! You don't have to go to lecture ever. He lets you out early EVERYDAY. He likes to tell jokes about his wife. If you fail you don't belong in college. You can leave the class at anytime for a cig or if your phone rings. Very laid back

This man is great. Not only is he a good teacher, but he likes to add in some life lessons during class that are not only hilarious but actually relevant to college life. Hes a great guy!

Amazing person. Cares about his students and willing to help you out any way he can... math related or not. Doesn?t take attendance, but gives in class "quizzes"... he goes over them in class as you are doing it, it?s basically just a way to get around not taking attendance and to boost pts. If at all possible, take him!

I hate math but Brinker made it clear and easy to follow. If you do not get it he will go over it at as much as you need him too. He is really laid back.

I took Math 099 online during the summer. Mr. Brinker is a excellent teacher and extremely patient. When I was having some problems he called me at home to work through them with me, which I felt was above and beyond the call of duty. I wish he taught every math class!

Easy. 099 is such a blow off it's not even funny. Had to take it cause of summer test score, but all material is like 6th grade stuff...he is a bitt weird but funny and nice

Awesome best teacher to take if you have trouble with math. He even lets class out early so people can ask questions. He gives the anwsers to the quizzes which is nice when it comes time to study for the test. I am horrible at math and wouldn't have passed without him!

Really nice guy. Gets off subject A LOT! Jokes around a lot and tells weird stories, trashes his wife a lot. Easiest math class I've ever taken. Tests are easy as long as you print off the Practice Test. Lab days suck and drag on. Attendance isn't mandatory but there are random lecture quizzes.

He is really good at explaining how to do things and every once in awhile he will have an in-class quiz just to see who came to class. There are as easy as writing your name.

His class is easy if you have time to dedicate your entire life to it. Would be more helpful if we didn't have a quiz 3 days a week, just simple home work would be way more beneficial. Tough with grading but other than that he's alright I guess.

He was a very good teacher. He was easy to approach and didn't mind if you talk in class. If you go to his office he will literally make sure you get a 100% on your quizes.

He makes the subject matter super easy to understand. And if something non-math-related pops into his mind, he'll be sure to tell you about it. It served as a welcome break from math equations though. He's also goo about letting class out early.

Very easy class. Sometimes its so easy it boring. Never goes the full length of class but class is never cancelled. I have had him for two semesters and both were easy A's if you just go to class. Extremely easy quizzes and medium difficulty tests.

Took him for 099 and 100. Best math professor on the planet. Hands down.
