His class was great, i dont know what the other person who rated him was thinking. His lectures were great, I did not even have to go to class to pass but i chose to because it was enjoyable. Very nice guy, simple tests, and very smart outside of class. T

Dr ray holds your attention and keeps you interested in learning. He wants you to take the knowledge learned and be able to apply it to your life. I would recommend him to anyone.

Very good. He doesn't always seem to cover all of the material, but he always gives a study guide. If you look over the study guide a little you will do well.

This was a great class and he was the best prof I've had yet. The class was great fun and he uses a lot of his real life experiences in his teaching. Highly recommend him.

This is a great class. I definately recommend taking his class. There are a lot of tests, but he drops your lowest one- and they are all pretty easy if you do his reviews.

WHAT A GREAT GUY! He made me LOVE Psychology! He seems to want everyone to do well in his class. He gives out study guides of exactly what is on the test, and if you study..it's easy to get an A. He also has a GREAT sense of humor, I've never laughed so much during class! TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

Fun teacher. Lectures can get off topic but he's fun to listen to and has a good sense of humor. Tests are easy, he passes out study guides for everything that will be on the test. He's also very helpful, as well as accomidating.

He is such a sweet guy.He is willing to help you in any way possible. Very thorough and made everything interesting and easy to comprehend.

This class takes a lot of hard work. You must read every chapter and know the material. Tests are multiple choice but can me tricky. Also, there is no taking home your previous tests to study for the final. You must review everything you have learned during the whole semester. He has a good sense of humor but demands hard work.

This is the best professor I ever had, and I have had plenty!! Take him for whatever class he is teaching if you really want to learn. He is challenging and he gives each student individual attention. His case studies are intense, but you will learn a lot about your self and the other people in the class.

This professor was a teacher, mentor, and friend during my college years. His methods, dedication, and humor will always stand out to me. Many thanks to him for caring about his students both educationally and personally.

Excellent teacher, cares about students. Great sense of humor. Tests from book and gives study guides. Takes attendance, but not mandatory. Requires work but A is possible.

Dr. Ray is AWESOME! He is such a sweet man and is just fabulous! His tests are all multiple choice and he is so funny in his own way. Take him if you want to learn about Psych and enjoy a class with an Easy A or B! :)

Dr. Ray is the best. I have had him for a few classes and he is awesome. He has great stories about the renown people in the field he knows and he enjoys a lively discussion. Dr. Ray is funny too. And he is a very fair grader. Just show up and you will have fun!

Dr. Ray is loads of fun and really smart. There is alot of talking but he lets his students talk and he learns from them as well. At the same time, he'll make you laugh. If you listen, take notes, use the study guide and go to class, then you should have no problem passing his class.

This was his first time teaching Educational Psychology, and I don't think he really enjoyed it as much as his regular Intro. to Psych. classes. The book he was using was very hard to understand, therefore his tests were pretty hard. I'm an Ed. major, and I'm glad I took him, but he should not teach that again for his sake.

I thought I was going to get an A but I got a B. He's a nice prof. sometimes i did fall asleep because he likes to talk. you need to study for the tests. they can be confusing if you don't read the book carefully. he drops the lowest test. you write 5 papers that are easy. but dont turn them in late or u'll lose points. make sure u buy scantrons.:)

Dr. Ray is one of the best teachers I have had :) Refreshingly different! He is clear, knowledgeable, and always on point. I was very impressed by his vocabulary. I enjoyed every one of his classes. A very wise man who has a lot to share. Negative: His voice is monotonous, so you have to pay attention. There are a lot of tests, so read the textbook

Nice guy. TONS of extra credit on tests. 5 papers but they are short and easy. If you can't pass this class, you are not ready to be in college. Lecture style a little slow and a little dry but he is very good at answering questions and will explain things until you understand. Class much more fun if you are the type who likes to participate!

He is a very organized person. Also, he is fair and clear about grades. He uses visual presentations to help you. You can drop the lowest test, and there are lots of extra points. You have to read the text book to get good grades.

teacher is great! lectures A LOT! but gives you notes and knows what he's talking about. the book he uses is great and made me love psychology. you 5 papers, 1 page each, personal reflection on certain topics, SUPER EASY-turn in late n get points off!u have 7 tests, about 1 every 2 weeks with study guide! make sure you read and study. Got an A!

Good class and good prof. Most engaging class have had at GPC, encourages student comments and discussions, although could be more group work. LEctures and tests follow the book. easy papers if get in on time.

He's a great professor, although he seems to stray away from the actual subject sometimes and spend 30 minutes talking about completely irrelivent things. The book and studying are VERY important for this class. Very, very important. He gives about a test a week and gives 5 or 6 papers, but the papers are all extremely easy. Just do your work.

Good class and well organized. If you come to calss and study Dr. Ray will do anything to help you. Make sure get papers in on time.

I think he's pretty funny. When he laughs, he laughs his whole heart out and his face turns bright red. Crazy lookin' mustache. Class is super easy if you have any intelligence and work ethic. He gives 7 scantron tests, 5 (EASY) papers, and a 100 question final. His lectures are interesting and he illustrates concepts by telling stories. Great guy.

Dr. Ray taught the best class I have attended so far at GPC. Read the book, come to class, do the assignments, easy A. Get to know the man! He's a neat guy and wonderful person. He submitted me to the Honor's coordinator for my campus, he didn't have to do that. Very happy I took his class. Highly recommend him!

Interesting course. If you take notes on your laptop know this is an older teacher who is not necessarily comfortable with technology, therefore has a uncompromising policy on no laptops, cell phones, in class. Does post slides on ICollege but will probably take a few weeks to get them up. Good class though and fairly easy teacher in all other area

Very good class. Well organized and to the point. Grades fairly easy, but strictly to the point. Takes points off paper if just one minute late. Come to class and is easy grade.

Dr. Ray really is a sweet person but it is a RARE day when he has my full attention. I'm usually on my phone, which I have to hide because he hates technology, but honestly this class is NOT hard at all. The people who gave him a low rating obviously didn't want to study. Tests are STRAIGHT from the study guide and he posts notes online..TAKE HIM

He is an interesting teacher to know. A lot of times when he teaches, he tends to give real life examples that could be interesting to know. He provides a good load of papers and quizzes, so be prepared.

He is a very sweet man but he is strict on the paper, I got 5 points taken off from one of my papers because I was 2-3 minutes late. We have a total of 7 tests and 5 papers. He will drop the lowest test grade, which mean we have 6 test grades and 5 paper grades. Tests are easy as long as you study off from the study guide he posted on iCollege.

Dr. Ray is a wonderful teacher. He gives amble amounts extra credit. His test are from right out of the book. He cares about his students. You must get the book. Do the papers. They will help your grade. You get a 100 just for doing them. I wish he taught abnormal psych!

Cool dude. He is like the guy from up mixed with that "apperently" kid from that news segment. Anyways first few quizes were a breeze, then they became progressively tricky. Easy nevertheless. Study the material before the test, in class really has more practical application. Overall class was decent and straightforward. Lots of extra credit.

Doesn't do a lot of regular teaching, need to read the chapters and do study guides. Group work ends up "teaching" the class. Tests are test bank questions. Papers are for credit not quality. Would have preferred a different style. Mostly teaching yourself I would have taken online. Also did not like the textbook author very well.

He provides you with study guides of his quiz's. He is amusing.

I don't see why Dr. Ray doesn't have 10 stars on here. I really enjoyed this class. Sure, he would lecture for the full class length, and sometimes it was boring, but it was clear that he has a real passion for psychology and teaching which makes his lectures so much better than those given by professors who hate their jobs. Listen and Study!

What a good class with good professor! prof is caring and approachable. Does require some reading and provides opportunities for extra credit, always know where you stand. Study and pay attention and should be easy grade.

This man is incredibly caring. You have six quizzes and five papers throughout the course and he drops the lowest quiz. The quizzes are pretty easy as long as you pay attention and do some supplementary textbook reading. The papers should be an easy 100 (he even says that) and he gave me some very kind responses to all of my personal anecdotes.

Dr. Ray's class in an easy A. The quizzes require studying (obviously) but don't just read the book. Do the practice questions and read the summary of each chapter. I have gotten an A on every quiz by doing this. Lectures. He is lecture heavy and the quizzes are all about the book and nothing about what he says. Overall, he's a caring teacher.

Dr. Ray is amazing! His was my favorite class this semester. The overall atmosphere in class is very chill, even for the final I wasnt stressed. No tests in his class (except the final) - just quizzes, which are so easy! He also assigns a few papers, but theyre also an easy 100.

Professor Rays class was a good introduction to psychology and his personality was easy to get along with considering he tend to crack a couple jokes here and there during lectures. His class is quiz and essay heavy and final exam was open notes, However essays are relatively easy. I overall had a really good experience in his class.

You would have to read to pass. Therefore, if you dont study well from books. Dont take the class. Ray is a nice professor and his lectures do be heavy, but he is cool guy. A lot of the things said are interesting, but sometimes boring as well. Ray curves your grade sometimes too. You also get into many small group projects, but they are easy.

Dr. Ray is by far my favorite professor, he's a sweet kind old man. But be prepared to read your book and study his slides. Because it is PSYC its heavy with information. if you do that you'll be sure to pass his quizzes which are usually 20 questions. in this class you'll have 5 papers, 6 quizzes, and then the final. And the papers are easy A's.

Dr. Ray is awesome! He has a lot of experience in the field so his lectures are interesting. His essays were easy 100's. His quizzes were easy too and he reuses all of his questions for the final, so pay attention to them when he goes over the quizzes in class!!
