Great Teacher
HE IS AWESOME!
While I should have failed the class, he gave me a chance to turn in paper late, and I ended up with a B+. A great guy.
Wear your ear plugs this man likes to talk, I mean scream
very enthusiastic
funny and really loose teaching style.... guarrantee to make you laugh no matter the topic.. excellent prof
One page papers rock
This is the first business class I've had where I haven't been bored out of my head and it's totally due to Ray. What a breath of fresh air in stuffy Sennott Square.
Class is so easy its hard. Curve will be tough.
He was definitely my favorite professor, and I would take any class he taught. He's funny and he knows his stuff. There's a reason why his class enrollment is always full.
Best prof ever!...funny and energetic...last comment was crap....strongly recommend
Ray is awesome. Do whatever you can to get into his class because he is an amazing professor. Plus, he's an emo boy that wears a suit. What more is there to love?
Join the Ray Jones fan club. Get a free "Go Out And Make It Happen" TShirt. Also available is the Bill "the man" action figure. And the best part is the Ray Jones matchmaking service (attendence sheet).
ray jones is the man. and he's into the fact that he's from etna. AWESOME TEACHER.

only person that could keep me up at 9 am on Monday mornings, and he's super dreamy.
I agree with the statement below. Ray Jones is an emo boy in a suit. He is like Bo Jackson.
Ray Jones had a perm in middle school.
this man is awesome - students adore him (just try walking past his office during the semester..there always seems to be a half-circle of students crowded around his office)
Ray Jones is awesome. Not only is the lowest grade you can get on a paper a B-, but he also makes sure to never lose your attention whether it be throwing the bad call brick or screaming for no reason. Well worth the walk to Chevron to have as a prof
Ray Jones knows how to entertain, but what he doesn't know how to do is convey a coherent idea. He spews out jumbles of semi-intelligent thoughts and then expects you to be able to decipher the pieces. Don't confuse his popularity for good teaching ability. A smart guy who will grade work fairly.

Ray is the coolest man EVER. Heis by far the best professor that I have had. He is one of the only professors that will listens and acts like a student, while relating boring business concepts to real life in an exciting fashion. Ray Jones is the man...Ray Jones for President '08.
Ray has been a great help and influence in my life, both professionally and personally. Even though I was never in his class, I still got to know him very well. Nothing is more important to him than helping a student out!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously, he needs to focus better on actually teaching. He's a great guy, but doesn't really have the required stuff to be a CBA professor in my opinion. He also looks like Peter Parker in Spiderman.
Ray is hot. I laughed my ass off in his class and had a lot of fun. On top of that I kind of learned something because he brought it to real life, not just dumb book examples.

He always keeps you interested in what is going on. The key to his class is the 1 page papers.
Very interesting class, little hard to follow at times. But still a good teacher who likes what he does. take him if you can.
One of the best professors U of Pittsburgh has seen. Made a seemingly boring class subject fun and interesting. Take his class if you can, even if it is 8am-totally worth it.
Ray Jones is such an entertaining professor! He's the best to take in the mornings because he wakes you up with his enthusiasum. There are 6 one-paged papers. You really just need to entertain him when you're writing them and make sure you analyze the concepts. Awesome class all because of Ray!
All those Chuck Norris quotes are actually about Ray, Chuck stole them...Ray will give him a round-house kick of ethics!
much luv to the U
Ethics with Ray = Life. You'll love this class.
ray is the freaking man best teacher ever!!!
Keeps things interesting and is always full of energy. He will know your name and is very helpful!
great guy, very open-ended lectures, very fun class, the one-page papers help out a lot with your final grade, he gives out prompts for the test day, tests aren't bad if you prepare well enough. very helpful, even will help you with recommendation letters, definitely take him.
Ray is a reasonable dude. I'm pretty down with him. Take a class if you can, he's always trying to do something new and fun.
LOVE HIM! My favorite professor at Pitt! Take his class if you can. Highly recommended! The "one page papers" are easy and the two-three exams are open book/open note. You'll actually WANT to GO to CLASS to see him "bringin' it to life." He's very helpful and makes lectures fun!!!
I had him for both Ethics and OB. He's the greatest professor ever at PITT. Take him if you could- a perfect guy for "fun-tertaining" in class !!! He's also an easy-grader! a B+ is a guarantee in his class!
The easiest way to get an A in Ray's class is to follow the same format as one page papers. A solid grade on a tests is critical to get an A.
Best Professor I have ever had. Had him at 8am in the morning, and I went, and I would end up laughing out loud. If you take Mitnick instead of him for Ethics, like me, you will regret it for the rest of your life. And his OB class is great.
He's a funny guy who knows how to entertain a class. Six easy one page papers and three in class exams. He grades the exams harder than he does the papers. Overall a nice guy. I would recommend taking him.
take him for OB! i took him at 8 am and the class was as good as any 8 am could ever be. his exams are all written which kind of sucks but he is a great guy and the material that you need to know for the exams is given to you so there is no hunting for material before the test
Ray Jones is the man. He made an 8am class entertaining. Tests aren't bad, they're all essay though. But you basically have to do what you do on the HW and it's open book/open notes so you have all the material with you. Awesome guy, makes class fun, i'd recommend him to everyone.
Ray Jones is great. His class is simple and he's pretty easy when it comes to grading. He's super entertaining and really engaging in class. I looked forward to his 9:30 am class every week.
Ray is a great guy and amusing in class, however I personally do not like the way that he sets up his class. The one page papers are interesting and fun to write, but I hate essay exams and having to write 3 in 75 minutes is a lot of pressure. I would much rather write more papers as homework than take long essay exams.
awesome guy. had him multiple times and wish i could keep taking class with him. essay tests are sort of a pain but overall its not super hard if you are ok with writing
Hands down, Ray Jones is the best professor I've had at PITT. When it comes to grading one page papers/essays, Ray Jones is very generous. His lectures are interesting and for those looking to take his BUSORG1020 class, there's no need to purchase the textbook. We didn't use it much this semester. Overall, I would highly recommend Ray Jones!!!
Definitely the BEST PROFESSOR at Pitt! Extremely funny and intelligent. Has a little bit of a crazy side to him but its a good thing! No one can teach Business Ethics better than him! Great class, ended up with a B, but you learn a lot as well. Highly highly recommend!
Great guy. He is pretty funny in class. Essay tests which are pretty easy. Hard to get an A but nearly impossible to get below a B if you do all your work. I ended up with a B+
Ray Jones is a great guy... but I'll be honest in that I hated this class. His grading system has little to no reason as it is 100% subjective. The material is laughably easy (all common sense)so it's frustrating to me that I didn't get an A. But if you want an easy A- or B+ he's the professor for you
Organizational Behavior was a pretty easy class. 6 one page papers and three exams...which are all open note! Never even used the textbook.
Ray Jones is the man. He is the best professor that I have EVER had!! Six one page papers, two quizzes (essays), and a final (essay). Follow his guidelines for the papers and quizzes and you'll pass with an A. He is hilarious and a great guy! No class was ever boring!
Ray is awesome! He's very entertaining and uses funny examples in class. He does go off on tangents but eventually gets through the slides. All the slides are posted online and the exams are written and open book. The one pg papers are annoying but easy. Definitely take him for Ethics or OB.
This guy is something else. He is a great teacher, he is funny and he somehow makes an 8 am class enjoyable. He grades pretty easily too. One of the best professors I've had at pitt.
Best pro ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Exams are essays, so they are subjective. 1 page paper a week and usually get a check for doing it. Attendance is 2% of grade. Don't really need to go to lecture, but he is really funny so I did. Rated best professor at Pitt by students. Easy B, but pretty hard A like most business classes. Hard to follow along sometimes. No book needed, at all.
Ray Jones is an awesome guy. His lectures are entertaining and relevant. His assignments make you think, but aren't difficult. He is super clear in what he expects from you, and he genuinely wants all students to do well.
The class is what you make of it. If you take the assignments seriously and work hard in his class you'll get something out of it. Motivating prof, great guy, but nicknamed Ray Minus. Grading is subjective, regardless of how hard you work, best is A-, even if you deserve an A. Jones seems to have some odd hatred towards students with good grades.
Ray is awesome. He makes ethics enjoyable and somewhat interesting. His lectures use relevant examples to explain concepts and they keep students engaged. Tests are case studies and they're open notes so there isn't much studying, just preparation for the case study. Easy to get a B, seems impossible to get an A. Take him if you have the chance.
BEWARE OF THE RAY-. (A-). NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO. NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU WORK YOU WILL RECEIVE AN A- IN THIS CLASS. do not underestimate the power of this man he will destroy you
Literally did everything possible, did well on tests and papers, and somehow still got an A- when it absolutely should have been an A?? HIs grading criteria are very not straightforward. He's a nice guy who tries to be funny which is why so many people like him, but truthfully, he just talks about his cats and I didn't learn a single thing.
Engaging professor that makes going to class entertaining. His lectures are interesting, constantly references sports and celebrities. Textbook isn't needed, it can be helpful at times but not necessary. Extremely difficult to get a solid A, A minus at best.
Pros: interesting lectures, easy assignments, optional attendance, tests are reasonable Cons: likes lots of participation- tends to be a small class and you can get put on the spot, doesn't cover a ton of material
Ray is a super nice guy. He is easy to reach outside of class and is understanding when it comes to due dates. The class was graded on 6 one-page papers, two open notes quizzes, and an open notes final, none of which were particularly difficult. It is easy to get an A- but very difficult to get an A. I would recommend him for OB.
He's awesome. Ethics is not a very interesting subject but I actually enjoyed going to class every day because he just made me laugh the entire time. So easy going. A- thing is totally true. No matter what I did, I got the same grades on every assignment. Did well on the papers and mediocre on the quizzes which will end up as an A-
My friends recommended that I take a class with Ray. Honestly I'm not sold. He's a nice guy and a solid professor but the class seems like there is no point to being there. I do not think I have actually learned anything by attending. Lots of one page papers though. You do not really need the textbook. Just do the work and you'll pass.
Ray is a great professor and a great overall person. He really wants everyone to do well in the class and grasp the material. He is also really quirky and has interesting attendance sheets which always keeps the class engaging. Ray is also willing to meet outside of class to help or just to talk about interests in the material. Would recommend.
Ray is the most passionate professor I've ever had. The material may not be the most interesting, but he explains it so well and makes class seem more like stand up comedy than a lecture. 6 papers 2 tests and a final. Prepare for exams and you'll walk out with at least and A-
Do not buy the textbook. His lectures can be interesting but can also be incredibly boring. The class is overall very easy. 6 papers and 3 exams. He is really funny, would definitely take again. With that said, you will most likely get an A- because he rarely gives out As
best professor I have had at pitt
Even though the class was easy, Jones is known for giving out A-s instead of As. With the work that I put into the class, I felt I should have gotten an A. I also didn't like the way the class was set up. I felt like I didn't learn anything and used the class time to catch up on other work. Jones is a really nice guy just not my favorite professor.
I was so surprised that I got an A for OB because I know that he is known for being an easy A- , but very difficult A. Definitely take him, but make sure to always come to class and write interesting papers! I am thinking I got an A instead of A- because I always wrote about quirky experiences so he liked to read my papers out loud to the class.
Ray is a good guy. He's funny and really tries to connect with his students. Sometimes I left lecture not feeling like I learned but class is always entertaining. You have a bunch of one page papers, 3 worksheets, 2 open note quizzes and a final. You'll probably get an A- if you put in low-average effort.
Professor Jones is great. He really tries to make the lectures interesting and is a very lenient grader. You only have to write 6 short papers and 3 essays for exams. Very straightforward and he gives clear guidelines. Ray is hilarious and the best choice for ethics
Doesn't deserve the hype. His grading criteria is not clear at all. You will get an A- automatically and maybe 1% of the class will get an A. It's difficult to learn because he teaches in an unorganized way. He's a nice and somewhat funny guy, but I am not sold on his teaching capabilities.
Jones is a bit cringey, he tries really hard to relate to students. Spends 30 minutes going over attendance sheet. Grade is based on 6 one-page papers, 3 worksheets, 2 quizzes and the final. Minimal note taking. The kind of class where you catch up on other classes/emails/anything else
Ray is an AWESOME lecturer. He makes the lectures entertaining and engaging. My only gripe with him is his grading style is unorthodox. He gives pretty much every one a 90% on every paper assignment, which I can't complain about. If you dislike writing papers, this class isn't for you, but you will get that with any OB proffessor.
One of the best professors I have ever had!!! Keeps class interesting and makes you apply knowledge to the real world. Really makes you think about how to use the material learned in class to real life work scenarios! Very entertaining and I did not dread this class one bit! 100% recommend!
Easy class. He tries to make class fun but I was too burnt out since he was my last class. There was only one assignment a week which made the class very easy to keep up with. The only thing I didnt like was that he really didnt like giving A+s on assignments.
Ray is a great professor for making content enjoyable. However, it is rare he gives A+; almost everyone gets the same grade, which is a negative if you put a lot of work in. He is never boring, and super flexible for busy schedules. Minimal work but difficult to perform well with his unclear expectations.
This guy is a gem, seriously. Really one of those professors who makes you want to succeed. Talk to him and engage with the material, and you will earn an A. Everyone thinking it's impossible to get an A is simply not working hard enough. Take this guy. One of the only professors in CBA that doesn't have an ego because of their PhD.
Jones is the man. The class isn't very hard and is mostly taken up by him telling funny stories that relate to the material. There are six easy 1-page papers and the tests are analyzing case studies but you get the cases to prepare beforehand. One of the most engaging professors I've had, best choice for OB.
ray is a super fun guy. his classes were very entertaining and i think he is really genuine. the reason i cant give this guy a 5 is because it doesnt make sense that i get an A- in his class but an A in financial accounting, which was much more difficult for me. his class was so easy, and the material was even easier, yet i still didnt get an A.
Professor Jones is an incredible guy. Wildly entertaining. His lectures were fun and simple with lots of real-world and personal examples. His huge negative is he doesn't post grades on Canvas so you don't know how you're doing, and the grading system basically limits you from getting an A. Thought I was doing great and ended with a B.
The ethics class itself is just boring by nature. Jones's personality and energy is what makes this class enjoyable. He is the nicest guy. 6 papers, 3 worksheets, 3 quizzes that aren't too hard and are fairly graded. If you got to take ethics still, take it with Jones. You'll thank yourself later.
Ray Jones is one of the best professors I've had in CBA, can't go wrong with taking his ethics class. Lectures are entertaining and he explains difficult concepts well with real world examples. Jones actually takes the time and effort to learn your name and say hello, and his assignments aren't too hard if you go to class and put in minimal effort.
You never know what your grade will be like until finals are over
This guy is the real deal. Put in the work, and you will get the grade you want. Great guy, always available, and easily one of the best professors at Pitt.
Jones was one of the best professors I have ever had! Made a 2.5 hour night lecture engaging and interesting. I wish he would go back to teaching Managerial Ethics so that I can take a class with him again.
Class was super easy and very fun. Very lenient grader and a really nice guy to get to know.
GOAT. Ray is a great guy and it shows in his lectures. He uses real-life examples and a good sense of humor to get the class material across. Sometimes he can digress, but who really cares. If you apply yourself you can get the grade you want, definitely would take a class with him again.
Ray was one of my favorite professors last semester. While the class is very lecture heavy, he uses personal stories and is very interactive with the class so it keeps things interesting. Tests were all open notes, open computer, and generally not too hard. Assignments were easy and I liked the class overall.
Prof. Jones' lectures are very uninteresting. His presentations are dry and hard to pay attention. Attendance is mandatory and the class is graded on 6 1-page papers, 3 worksheets, and 3 exams. The exams are completely hand written essays with a 75 minute time frame. He rarely assigns A's, so prepare yourself for an A- or lower. He is funny
Awesome guy who is very knowledgable and easy to talk to. His lectures are funny and you don't really have to pay attention. He rambles very much.
Professor Jones is one of the funniest professors you'll have. You learn the content, it's not hard to grasp, but he makes it much more enjoyable. You have to be trying really hard to do poorly in this class. Light grader, appreciates participation.
I genuinely loved attending this class; Professor Jones was the most entertaining professor I've ever had. Grading in the class is light and assignments are enjoyable. Would take Jones 10 times out of 10.
Ray is an excellent professor. The concepts you learn in the class are very useful for whatever business profession you intend to pursue. Homeworks are easy and extra effort is rewarded. Case studies for the quizzes are given beforehand, allowing students to prepare for the quiz questions. Also a great connection. Go Ray!
Absolute stand-up guy, but lectures are just him telling stories related to the topic. I loved lectures, but still, you get the gist. Lectures could be 20 mins but instead they are 75 mins of him laughing and storytelling. Still fun and easy though.
Ray is a very lighthearted and fun professor. Lectures aren't mandatory, and a lot of the time, he is telling stories. The assignments are easy, and he is accommodating if you have questions. There are two quizzes and a final, which he gave the case study/review sheets before. He doesn't give anyone a high A, so be prepared. Interesting class.
The worst. You have no idea where you stand in the class for grades until they close at the end of the semester. Going to class is a complete waste of time. He gives little to no feedback on assignments so be prepared to feel like you learned nothing!
He gives very few A's so I was very lucky to get one. His grading is based on weekly papers/worksheets, 2 quizzes, and 1 test. Everything single assignment is writing so be prepared for that. To do well in the class I would recommend going to his office outside of class because he will give hints on what to write about on quiz/exam.
He is very considerate. I would not be able to make class some days due to personal reasons and every time he was understanding. Majority of the tests in this class are open note and open book. He tries to make the class fun and enjoyable to attend by rambling about stories related to the topics. He genuinely wants to see his students succeed.
Lots of writing but all worth it for the lectures. Displays uncommon passion for teaching and love for Pitt Athletics. Accessible and approachable outside of class! Teaches useful AI generation tools. He will give you the framework for management essays; you can write about what interests you, but you have to discover connections yourself.
Dude encourages students to use AI (yikes), but otherwise he's an interesting and caring guy. Lectures not mandatory and he usually just rambles during class. Grading criteria makes NO sense, you will be confused about your grade. He's a great guy, not a great teacher. Class is not hard, tests are a lot of writing and there are weekly assignments.
This class is just pointless. You have no idea what your grade is until the end. Just writing papers about nonsense and listening to him ramble on about meaningless things in class. I like him as a person, but going to class wasn't necessary at all.
I liked Professor Jones! Lectures are not mandatory, and I wouldn't say they were very helpful in order to do well on papers and tests. He does remember names and faces, so maybe showing up to lectures could help with grading. I went to lectures and got an A in the class. Weekly papers, but once you figure out what he's looking for they're easy.
Prof. Jones brings an engaging and interactive style to his lectures. While attendance is mandatory, the class is manageable if you stay on top of the work. unstuck study was a big help for study prep alongside the class materials.
Gained very little if any information out of managing complex environments. He is a nice guy, but it was a complete waste of time and money.
This class teaches you absolutely nothing and is structured in a way that should be an easy A, but that is not the case. You can go to every class, prepare for the tests, and still not get an A. All papers are automatically given a 90%, regardless of how good or bad it is. Very minimal work/effort required. Cool dude, but awful class.
Don't get me wrong Jones is amazing and you can tell he's passionate about his connections with his students, but this class is structured so oddly. He has to follow a grade distribution, which isn't his fault, but it makes it near impossible to get an A. 2 quizzes and a final, the assignments aren't terrible, but it's hard to tell what he wants.
his grading policy makes it impossible to get higher than a A- because he only gives 90% for all assignments/worksheets to everyone regardless of how much work you put in, so dont even bother trying too hard on those. the quizzes are kind of straightforward but a lot of writing. he makes us use AI in everything and is weirdly obsessed with it.
GPA booster. People complain about this class but it if you put even in a little bit of effort it is the easiest A in the world. He gives 90% on all (6) papers and at the end of the semester you get the last 10% by turning in the works cited in his format. The tests are literally the same as the papers but in shorter format meaning its easier..
Ray Jones is probably the best professor in CBA. He talks a lot in his lectures, but it's always interesting. The assignments and tests are pretty easy. If you attend class regularly, your chances of getting an A are higher. Oh, he also remembers every single student's name.
Why even look him up on rate my professor if he's the only one teaches this class??
I would say that the assignments are relatively flexible (a lot of writing tho) yet be prepared as the feedbacks received on is very limited to what you can improve upon. Ray grades strictly on specific levels of analysis. Other than that, the lecture is mostly discussion that he talks about correlating to the topics rather than what is expected.
Ray is very helpful and friendly, but he does make you write a paper every week throughout the semester. Just be prepared for a lot of writing.
This is supposed to be an easy class, but every single person I know has received a B+ in this class (he gives a max of 90% on assignments). Regardless, I think that in order to do well on tests, make sure your analysis is deep and specific. He's very kind and funny, but I was frustrated because I had no clue what my grade was till the end.
Honestly was shocked to see I had gotten the A in this class. You think it's supposed to be an easy A until it's not. I spent hours on the papers and never really even did them correctly, so I guess it really was my score on the final that put me at an A. Jones is a fun guy with vague expectations…but figure out what he wants and you're set.
I love Ray as a person, but he honestly just rambles for so long about nothing, and I got nothing out of the lectures. His grade scale was confusing at first, and you just figure out how to do your assignments on your own, but you eventually figure out what he wants and allows corrections, but you never know your grade in the class.
Ray is quite the character as I respect that he is personable on how to tackle his exams if you go to his office and talk to him about your concerns. Lecture wise, it is hard to follow given he goes on tangents that are just not related to the point that he wants to "drive home". The amount of papers he does for the semester does become exhausting!
Ray is king, but not a good professor. He pretty much yaps about golf the whole time or whatever else he wants. The stuff we learned was cool -- basically an intro to consulting course -- but he struggles with brevity. He is very picky about how you use AI. Considering everyone I know got a B I was shocked I got an A-. This class is not an easy A.
Jones is a very cool guy but he does let it get in the way of being a professor. Lectures are just him repeating the same experiences from his life. Papers almost every week, but doesn't really care if you don't try. Grading system is really stupid but easily manageable if you know what you're doing. His personality saves him from a worse review.
I found the lectures weren't very helpful as I had a hard time relating them to the upcoming assignments. He would go over the paper requirements in class but I found myself needing to reference the prompts many times since he was unclear in what he wanted.
I absolutely despised this class. The grading criteria could not be more confusing, and the lecture content could not be more meaningless. Jones clearly likes the sound of his own voice and seems to enjoy the fact that he's the only MCE prof. My advice is to show up as often as possible and prioritize the exams, but know only a few students get As.
If you can't get an A in this class you might be a robot. Ray is one of the nicest people I have ever met and truly cares about his students. The trick to getting a good grade on the essays is to be interesting. He reads several hundred essays in a row. If yours is boring he probably just skims it. If you want a Check++ be unique.
I still am not quite sure what the goal of this class was. He gives every single person a 90% on every paper and allows unlimited resubmissions to reach his threshold. I cannot name a single thing I learned... He's a good guy and very upbeat and fun but the fact that I was required to pay for this class is very frustrating.
This class is required and Jones is the only one who teaches it so buckle up. You'll probably be confused the enitre time but its almost impossible to fail. Jones is hilarious but the class can be quite pointless and feel like a waste of time, but at least its pretty easy.
There aren't many grades and his grading system is confusing. Students who complete the work end up with a B in the class, people rarely get a 30/30 on the papers. The class consists of 6 essays, 3 worksheets, a research assignment, and the final. You're obviously supposed to go to the lectures but it would't hurt to miss a couple.
Professor Jones is a nice guy, but this class genuinely felt pointless at times. You won't get a 30/30 on a paper, the max he gives is 27/30 and his grading criteria can be beyond confusing at points. They're not exactly hard papers, it's just confusing. 6 papers, three worksheets, 2 quizzes, and a final. Also he's really obsessed with AI.
This class is so pointless, I still couldn't tell you the purpose. Classes are optional because he justs talks the entire time but nothing really interesting or important. He is really nice I just still don't see the purpose of the class. Also his papers the highest you can receive is a 27/30 so basically everyone gets a B+
honestly, i don't think i learned a single thing in this class. his grading criteria is very confusing and class is so pointless because he just talks about random stuff the whole time. he forces you to use AI on papers and is very unclear about genuinely everything. funny guy but not a great professor
i think that ray jones is a nice guy, however this class couldn't have felt anymore pointless. his grading criteria is very unclear and it is impossible to get over a 27/30 on the 6 papers you will have to write. i can't name a single thing i learned from this class and it's frustrating that it's required. genuinely felt like a huge waste of time.
He is the only professor to teach MCE and is unbearable. His lectures are random and not focused on class half the time. Your grade is made up of 3 exams one being the final and he attempts to follow the business school grade distribution thus giving most of the class a B or B+. It feels like you do not control your grade, DO NOT TAKE!
He was terrible. At the beginning of the semester he told us to use AI. He said his grading would be the same for all students and then the quizzes would be the different gradings. He only cared about his research and not us learning. This was the most useless class. I did as much as a could on the quizzes, and still got bad grades.
Ray Jones is a very nice professor and if you go to class and pay attention you'll learn. Actually know the cases and what you're writing about on exams. Class was a bit boring for me
This course taught me nothing. Jones is funny and cares but the coursework is just essays with 0 real guidance (max possible score on each essay was a 90% btw) . Lectures mostly have nothing to do with the essays. Essentially 90% of your grade is the final and 2 “quizzes” in which you must write 3 essays in 1.5 hours. Very few people get an A. :(
