Her class was great. I was able to exempt the final exam. Plus, the mid-term wasn't that bad.

She may be a little hard, but she is an excellent professor. I feel that she has helped me become a better public speaker, overall. She is helpful. Like I wrote earlier, she is difficult but she tells you EXACTLY what she wants.

I’m not particularly fond of public speaking, but I found her class a pleasant experience. As long as you take good chapter notes, provide interesting speeches and have well organized paperwork, you should do fine. Prepare for essays on tests!

She wasn't horrible. She really enjoys what she teaches, and it shows. Class is easy, midterm was lovely. Just be prepared in class by defining terms and answering questions from the chapters, and practice your speech before you give it. Speaking is scary, but you only give 3. Be sure to show up.

I liked her class. I taught that it was easier and she works with students that are nervous about public speaking. It isan easy class if you do your speech outline well and the midterm wasn´t hard. You ahould also take speech in the summer because is shorter and easier.

Awsome!!!! If you want to learn as opposed to just getting by, you will enjoy Ms. Snowden's class. She's not easy, but she is fair. She is NOT biased. You get what you earn, and earn what you get!!!! The class is fun and informative.

Professor Snowden was an assest to my educational experience at Gainesville College. She is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about communications and speech. Prof. Snowden was professional, curtious, fair and had the upmost concern for ALL her students. Prof. Snowden is by far my most favorite Prof. at G'ville College. A+ Thank you!

GREAT TEACHER!! She is very inspiring. I didn't like speech and now I LOVE IT!!I am even thinking about a Communication minor. Her exams do cover a lot of chapters but since we go over those chapters in class, as long as you keep up with the reading you'll do fine. Thanks Professor Snowden, you're great!!!

Everyone says she prefers women, but i took her during the summer and the class itself wasnt easy, but as long as you come to class, and do what she tells you to do then you shouldnt have a prob getting an A. As I did.

First of all, it's not true Prof. Snowden treats males different from females. I'm a male, worked hard and got an A. Prof. Snowden is intelligent and funny. She did give about the most thorough test I've ever had. We delivered three speeches. If you are nervous about giving speeches, please take Prof. Snowden, she understands.Excellent teacher

She is easy if you do the work. I did well in her class. She will not remind you when you have a test coming up so beware of that. If she likes you then you most likely will have a good grade if not then work extra hard! I think everyone has a fair chance in her class! It isn't as scary as you think!

The class is very focused and beneficial. You will get out of the teaching what you put into your preparation. Professor Snowden is not a man hater, she will teach you not to have a gender bias. Overall an awesome class, working for your grade in this class WILL make you a better speaker!

Dr. Snowden is a brilliant professor, and instructs very well. As a non-trad student, I can say that her class is run like the real world...effort is not optional. She takes the subject matter seriously, and not to be taken for an easy A. If you're just trying to fll the req, take someone else. If you seek to improve yourself, take Snowden

She has her favorites. She's a good teacher, just dont get on her bad side, she'll never stop picking on you, and not in a good way.

She picks favorites. Re-think every question you ask, because if she thinks it is dumb at all she will make you feel incredibly stupid. Try and find answers before you ask. Don't be late, she wont like you. She can be rude, but I also think it is just part of her personality. She definetly knows what she is teaching though. Make sure you prepared.

If she likes you, you can greatly enjoy this class. On the other hand, If she does not like you, you WILL dread her class. We got along so for me the class was just fine, challenging but a good course.

She's okay. Very knowledgable about giving speeches. Always very enthusiastic, and will wake you up in the morning. As for speeches, all you have to do is make sure you do everything on the syllabus and not completely forget your speech, then you shouldn't have much to worry about.

She is a great teacher, and I loved her class.I was so nervous on the first day of class,but she is very nice.She loves to teach, and she is always willing to help you.I highly highly recommend you to take this class if you want to be a great public speaker. She is very nice teacher,and she loves to teach. She always gives motivation how we can become a great public speaker. she also gives 1 or 2 extra credits assignments which help to boost our grades. I did not like her at all. She was pretty strict and required very specific details. It was not a fun class at all. Get someone else.

Dr. Snowden must have written all the good comments on here because there isn't much positive to say at all. And, this is coming from a 4.0 nerd who loves school abnormally. ;) She routinely assaults people's dignity and brags daily of her law degree. ~rolling eyes~ She is rude as mess, harsh and abrasive. Do not be late! Overall she is a nice lady. She grades harshly on speeches so do well. Midterm and final are easy. If you want to learn to speech well take her because you WILL be a good public speecher after this class. If you want an easy A take someone else. You can get an A but not an easy A! I Recommend!!

She was a great professor! Made COMM bearable & she really takes the fear out of giving speeches in front of people. She also knows what's she's talking about!

Great professor for human communications. All her speeches are under 7 minutes unlike the other professors. She is hard to deal with if absent, but just don't miss class. Test are really easy if you listen in class and go over the outlines in front of the chapter. Loves humor and odd topics so get creative in your speeches if you have the chance.

She really likes to hear herself talk. She is one of those professors where she wants you to be writing every single thing she says down. If you listen, come to class, and pay attention it's really not that hard though. Just don't be late, and make sure your phone is off! Oh, and she is an alabama fan.

Prof. Snowden, while a proficient teacher, is very rude, biased and difficult to work with. Attendance is mandatory and if you're unwilling to attend everyday, or take notes, then I suggest you find another professor for this subject.

Great Teacher!! She is scary at first, but toward the end of the semester she became real nice! She gives you all the information you need to know and you are not "flying blind" throughout the semester. Attendance is madatory, but not a problem. Great teacher, learn a lot, and you get the grade you work for.

After reading some of these ratings, you must be the ones who don't really want to learn anything & whine about every class in which you have to work. I learned a lot from Dr. Snowden. She is not easy, expects personal discipline, and YES you need to go to class. Isn't that why you are going to college? I got an A because I applied myself.

Yes this class challenges you. But you are a speaker when you leave. I saw mass improvement in all of our speaking ability at the end. It is a valuable class for your future. she wants you to be the best you can.

GREAT TEACHER! Very helpful when you have questions. Showing up to class is very important though. I got an "A" on every speech, so its not a hard class if you show up with your book and notebook eveytime, otherwise she will call you out and embarrass you. NOT A CLASS FOR SLACKERS. just do what she asks you too, and you will enjoy yourseld

I really don't understand where the negatice comments are coming from. She is a great professor who helps you when you need it. She grades fair, I made A's on all my speeches but she takes ten points off if you are not there the day of your speech. You only have 3 speeches which is great compared to others who give speeches every week.

She is very straight forward and if she doesn't like you, you will know it real quick. Go to class, suck up a little, give good speeches and you will do just fine. Speeches aren't graded harshly on delivery, but more on how you write it.

I don't know why people bash this teacher so much! She is awesome, informational, and if you listen to her instructions you will make an A. Awesome class! I learned a lot! Even written exams are easy if you pay attention! I highly recomend her COMM1100 class. If you can't make an A it is because you didn't do everything that was clearly explained!

Not the nicest professor. I found her tests difficult. You will need the book, if she see's you don't have your book, she will call you out. Take notes. Speeches are clearly laid out of what she expects, and she doesn't grade too hard. I made one A and two B's.

She is a pretty good teacher, she does not shut up though. She is pretty fair with her grading though, I got 2 B's and an A on speeches, the midterm and final were tough though. Always have your book though and do NOT get up to go to the bathroom in class, she will ask you to leave for the day in a very belittling way.

Professor Snowden is a really good teacher. She is a bit old school, but she is passionate about the subject. Her enthusiasm is contagious. This may not be the class for an easy "A", but you will leave being able to write and deliver a good speech.

You will learn a LOT about communications, she is very smart, but you'll have to work your arse off for an A. You also have to suck up, or she won't like you. She calls people out in front of everyone and will laugh in your face if you say something she thinks is dumb. Don't get up during class. If she doesn't like you, it will be harder.

She's not a hard teacher if you show up to class and pay some attention, write your speeches, and look over the material for the midterm - it's not hard! Do not get on her bad side though. People are pretty harsh on here, but she's not that bad.

She is not nearly as bad as people are making her out to be. The tests are really easy if you know the vocabulary. She doesn't grade hard on the speeches if you put a little bit of effort into it. I only made a B in this class because I wrote my speeches the night before, which was stupid. She will call you out if you don't bring your book.

I think the people who gave her negative ratings did it right after they gave their first speech. I would've given her a negative rating after my first speech only because I got a low B on my speech because I was nervous. The rest of my speeches went over well. She grades SO fairly it isn't even funny.

She really knows her stuff and can help you become a much better speaker. She gives great tips and grading is fair because she tells you ahead of time what she will grade on. Its just her negative, and at times, rude, attitude that people cant stand.

She is an easy grader when it comes to speeches. I did all my speeches the night before and made an A on each one. She is strict, but she is very passionate on her subject. She is very sweet, and even encouraged me to follow in her foot steps and do law. BEST TEACHER EVER.

Honestly she is one of the best professors Ive ever had. A bit awkward but it grows on you. Yes she can be a tough grader but she offers so much extra credit. Youd have to try to fail her class. Just read the book, talk about football and Alabama and youre golden. Big saver: shes heavy on attendance be ON TIME

She is a good teacher. She is sarcastic/not incredibly warm in class which is why others have complained. She does truly care about her students. Participation & attendance are non negotiable. Be prepared because she will call on you in class. If you pay attention and do the book work youll be fine. Tests are straight from lectures, so take notes
