He is geniuinely a great guy. He has the best sense of humor and you can tell that he is not just collecting a paycheck--he truly cares about students' success, not only in his class, but in life. Take him, you won't regret it!

This teacher wants people to learn. He only expects students to come to class regularly, do the assigned reading,do the homework and study for exams. He seems to believe that students who enroll in college should be willing to do these things.

Ray McCullar is an awesome teacher. He is very straight forward. Has a good sense of humor. If you do the work an A is totally feasible. IF you give respect you'll get respect. Wish all teachers were like him.

Freaking halarious! I don't think I ever enjoyed history as much as when I took Professor McCullars class. Not only did he make it fun, he made so that you wanted to learn more.

Very intersting class. Mr. McCullar has been with the community college for a very long time, and it sorta shows. He tells you about history since the civil war like it happened to *him* yesterday. His nonchalant sarcasm mixed in makes it all the more interesting.

This Professor wreaks of wisdom. He's able to blend the facts of books and facts of life perfectly. Highly recommended!

Awesome professor. I dreaded taking this class because I don't like learning just names, events, and dates. His class is nothing like that. I learned about the thoughts behind the actions that built this country. He has a way of explaining events that makes them real. He likes what he does!

Awesome professor! I am not just saying it, I mean it. Very helpful. But if you are lazy and went to college because your parents said so, don't take him. Don't waste his time. If you want a really good education, clear explonation, and reward for your hard work, he is your professor.

Ray McCullar is one of the best professors I've ever known. He's extremely intelligent, and always interesting and amusing. I highly recommend any of his courses. I took his US Hist Since the Civil War as well as Great American Biographies (twice--the reading materials change), and they were thoroughly informative and enjoyable.

First of all, I hated history before getting into this class. But Mr. McCullar is a great teacher! He has a great grading scale and even gives credit everytime you go to class. Tests are usually over 4 chapters long, but if you read over the objectives thoroughly, you will get a good grade. He is super funny too!

It's a shame I only need one of the classes he teaches. He is very funny and very good at relating textbook information into real life situation. As long as you do all the homework, his class is quite easy. Class participation is not optional, he will start randomly picking people to do things. The more you participate the more fun he gets.

He is awesome! Obviously is passionate not only about his subject, but his students as well. Expects you to do your work and show up to class. As long as you do that you should be fine. Great teacher. A real joy. Watch for jokes on the tests.

He's a pretty funny old man. The class itself is easy, like History usually is if you pay attention. Lenient attendance/homework policies, but you do have to do work. "You see?"

This teach was a nice older man. He is very funny and you will have no problems if you do your work and be respectful in class. He likes to incorporate life lessons when discussing history. Which is important because that is how we learn from history. He makes a lot of good points. I can always look forward to a good laugh in class. Great teacher!

Easy A, have to study for tests. Grades are based on attendance as well. My friend had a B because of attendance then got an A back because the teacher accidentally counted him abesent! Lecture is interesting with jokes here and there. This class you have to read your book as well. Highly recommend!

Prof. McCullar is great. I always looked forward to his class. Very funny, encourages open discussion, HUGE on respect. He does not tolerate tardyness, talking and/or disruptions. Behave like an adult who is there to learn, do the work and you will do great. Quizes are a breeze tests are difficult multiple choice. Study like just like he says.

Mr. McCullar is a great teacher. He is knowledgeable, polite, and funny. If you don't hack him off, he is extremely lenient and cooperative. He gave my class candy once, too! ("Is this what you 'mint?'"

He is generally a nice person, but someone did something today in class that caused a "disruption" and he had a VERY BAD temper tantrum. I don't see why he got mad at the students. He is very helpful most times and wants everyone to get an A. However, if you use 2 colors of ink on assignments, he tells you that you'll get points deducted.

Easy class, didnt learn much but minimal studying required. He does have a temper, just dont act out and it's an easy A.

Thought he was a good professor until we overheard him talk about us to another professor. Needs to be more careful about says about students. Still think he was a good professor, now just do not like him.

I took History Since the civil war with Prof. McCullar. He is the sweetest guy around! Great sense of humor and his lectures are very thorough, yet easily understood. I hate history but would take another class with him. Most of your grade is based on your attendance so show up! He can be picky though. Only likes assignments written in ink, and it must be blue or black but not both. He will throw a temper with you but his reasoning makes sense! (unprofessional).

Yes, he IS a creeper. Just try to catch it early. Low tone of voice gives it away on the first day. I thought he couldn't hurt a fly. I didn't change anything,and I think it was a big mistake. Don't be mature, smart, pretty, passionate,or well-dressed. If you are, try not to be, and I think he will stop. He did nothing MAJOR but did stress me out.

super easy. we did every single assignment in groups. tests and quizzes were simple. Easy to get an A as long as you show up and dont miss too many day. kinda funny too.

He can be a harsh teacher, but you will do well as long as you go to class and work with your group. Don't confuse "Collaborative Learning" for an easy class! You will do objectives for almost every chapter. One of the best history teachers I have ever had!

Fair warning: you will have to handwrite everything, and if you miss too much class you'll probably fail. On the other hand, he will dictate the notes to you in class, tell you exactly what to study, is a hilarious lecturer, tests easy, and walks you through your homework in class. So get ready to write, show up to class, and you'll get an A.

He is a great instructor, likes to joke, and is funny. All work must be done in black or blue pen. He does group work so it is easy. Sow up to class, read chapters, do the objectives there is no reason you can not make an A

Mr. McCullar got me more interested in History. Strict and funny. He is lenient with students. He's a great professor in my opinion. Very understanding as well. Just read and do your objectives and you will be just fine and get a grade of A so easy.

He's really quiet and you really have to pay attention to what he is saying if you sit in the back while the AC unit is on. Overall easy class if you do your work WITH your group; nothing is really independent work so if you like doing your own thing I would suggest a different class.

This class was super easy! You work in a group of 4 for all assignments, quizzes, and tests. You use your hw and notes on the tests in class so write down everything you think youll need to know. If you dont show up, youll get a 0%, so definitely show up and its an easy A. Lots of extra credit available! I wish I could take this professor again

EASY A if you don't mind working in groups. Most of the assignments and homework come from the textbook, so you will definitely need it. 3 Months into the semester you will switch groups. Quizzes and Exams are taken with your group. Show up to class everyday and you will get points.

His class is super easy! If you attend the class and do the objectives, and documents notes you should be good! He likes to joke around and is really helpful I hundred percent recommend him!

Professor McCullar is such a nice professor. His lectures are a little boring. But if you do the homework and read what is necessary then you will most likely pass his class with an A. Such an easy class, and he is very chill.

If you complete all the work by the due dates, you can easily get an A. He's a fair grader and has fair expectations. There's lots of reading and lots of papers, but each class is just like this. He does offer extra credit if you need it. He responds quickly to emails as well. I needed help with my paper, and he helped graciously.
