Excellent teacher. Recommended. His techniques and short cuts to solving math problems were great. Desplays an unique, and friendly approach to math. Math seemed comfortable not intimidating. Applies math to real life! Awesome!!

Dr. STANTON IS ONE COOL DUDE!! HIS CLASS IS REALLY EASY JUST KEEP UP WITH HOMEWORK AND STUFF LIKE THAT AND YOU WILL BE OK!!!!

In process of taking his class, but if you keep up with the optional homework you can do good even when math isn't your best subject. He's very helpful, and will always spend time to help you, even when he's busy.

I had Dr. Stanton for math 101 and 103 and got A's in both classes. He is the BEST math teacher ever. Homework is optional and drops 1 test. If you do good enough, you might not have to take the final. He is very helpful and is very clear. Highly intelligent!

Great teacher, easy to get along with as well. In my class we didnt have to take the friday test if we did good in the pretest early in the week, he allows you the option of coming in on friday to take the test. I got a B grade and i am not that good in math.

Very easy to comprehend his lectures, extremely helpful and test are easy. Very good instructor.

He is really easy, a little dissapointing because I wanted to take a class that would actually teach me something. If you really hate math or just aren't good at it, take Stanton. He gives the same tests over and over again until everyone passes it! He has like a B average in every class.

Great teacher, highly recommended. Is flexible with scheduling and is quick to help you if you don't understand. Gives you a pretest which is exactly like the real test so you know exactly what's coming, and homework is optional. Doesn't get much better than that.

He is the best math teacher I have ever had! At first you may be confused by his teaching style but you quickly acclimate and find that you are wishing all your teachers would teach his way. Math is my most difficult sublect and I've gotten A's on all of his tests. His classes have a 95% pass rate and that is rare!

The best professor I've ever had and actually made math fun!! Great teaching style that keeps your attention and makes it easy to understand. Other staff should really sit in on one of his lectures and learn a thing or two.

He is absolutely the best math professor ever! He is so nice and totally cares how much his students are learning. He completely prepares you for exams, but does not spoon feed you so that you don't learn anything. You really do learn in his class, but he doesn't go out of his way to make it overly difficult like many other professors.

103.6% Didnt buy the book, didnt study,took notes in class and that was the only time i looked at them. He gives two tests. A pretest and a real test. They are almost identical. If u ace the pretest u can keep your score and not take the real test. Good thing is you actually learn, not just an "easy" class. 100% recommend him.

This teacher is the best math teacher in the whole world. Even though class was at 7:00am i was happy to wake up every morning and learn math and listen to his great story's. I wish he taught me math from kindergarden and up. heeeeeeeeeeee iiiisssss sssoooooo cooollllll

The most awesome math teacher ever! I took him for Math 101 and he gives you alot of chances to pass the tests. I got an A in class and didnt even had to take the final! His also very understanding person and is always willing to help you out. And did i also mention his very handsome! :]

The only reason i passed math is because of this man right here! I suck at math, but passed his classes just fine. He wrote his text book as well and it's SO easy to understand, I still have it and use it to teach harder concepts to my students now! Yes, I am unashamed to use the Teenage Mutant ninja approach! This man is a gold mine. Take Him!

He is the best INSTRUCTOR! I took him for 101 and 103 and i've pass them with A and never had to take the final. He is a great teacher when it comes to math and very undestanding about his students. I made the sacrafice to go to class every day at 6am but its all worth IT!!!

I love the way this professor teaches. The easiest shortcut and his textbook is so easy, you do not need a lot of detail to understand because it already got what you need. Very supported and easy A and I'm taking him again for math 103

Stanton is an excellent teacher. He goes over everything really fast but he reapeats himself alot so that you understand it. He is really nice and he his test are really easy. The overall class was easy and anyone can pass it. He is not really big on homework so just do well on the test and you will be fine.

Hes an awsome guy he teaches because he want to make a difference. He even teaches some classes with out pay because of buget cuts he's awsome. He gives a pretest and a final test andkeeps the better grade.

He is the best math teacher ever!! He was really easy and explains really well. He does joke a lot and keeps us interested. What i really liked is about a week before every test he gives us a pretest which ends up being almost exactly like the same test except different numbers and then we go over it. I loved it!

I had Dr. Stanton for both Math 101 and 103. If I could I would have him for the rest of my math classes. A great teacher, he makes the class fun and interesting. The material can be rough for some but he will work with you if you need it.

I've had 2 other Math teachers at FCC for 255 and 103. Stanton... I just don't get. He wrote his own book, on a typewriter it looks like, and it's really expensive. He's fun and cool but I lived in another math planet in his class... When I went to 103 I was screwed. Got a B in 101. VERY easy. He's too cool, he grades too easy. Didn't learn...

Great teacher, he's funny and makes the class interesting. He talks about his life and sometimes gets off topic but you will learn a lot nonetheless. Highly recommend taking him!

Stanton is the best! His repetition is the key to success in math. Not only a great teacher, but an incredible person. A person can live 3 lifetimes and not meet someone as awesome as Stanton. Math is my worst subject, but Stanton got me out of there with a B. I actually understood math for once and still remember so much of it.Very helpful & if he see's blank faces, he'll explain things in different ways so it makes sense. Gives pre-tests, retakes on tests, and if you do well, you don't have to take the final.

Awesome teacher! Gives pre-test then goes over the pre tests then gives the real test. He is wonderful and I am getting up at 6am next semester just to take him again for 103.

Bottom line, in order to pass his class you need to study. Dr. Stanton motivates you to learn math. You need to study and attend class in order to pass. He's the best math instructor on campus and you will learn. He's not going to give you an A just because, you need to earn it!!!!

He the best, he has 11 tests in the class, gives pretest and then the real test he will do retakes like if you get a 95 out 105 you can take a retest or take the grade, also, we had 3 or 4 times he allowed the class to use flashcards for a test, if you take every test and have B or C don't have to take the Final.

Dr. Stanton is a awesome Professor. He makes our class exciting. He explains the material very well. He's truly for the students. He wants all his students to succeed. He's the one of the best instructors on FCC campus.

Pre Tests !!!!

Best teacher I've ever had throughout college. Very helpful as well as understanding when it comes to personal problems. Tests are super easy, just show up to class and do the pretest. Not bad to look at too.

Dr. Stanton is the BEST math teacher I've ever had!!! he is really helpful if you don't understand the concept he will go out of his way to help you. I took Math 101 with him and i was probably one of the easiest math class i have taken. If you show up and take the pre-test then you should pass the test. I highly recommend him!!!

Best professor at fresno city college i've ever taken. He gives you a pretest before the real test if you do you homework and do well on the tests you'll do fine. If you don't understand he will go out of his way to help u out.

i was math tarded before. now i understand. i failed algerbra 2 twice in high school and i passed his classes with A's. 101 and 103. wake up and take his 6am.. its worth it. ... pretests... need i say more?

He is an awesome instructor... He gives out pretests! His class is very easy, as long as you study his pretests you'll do well! & homework isnt mandatory. PASSED WITH AN "A"!

GREAT professor! I've always hated math and barely passed with C-/D. Took him over summer for 201, then 103 and passed with A+. He sets it up so you don't fail. Pre-tests every time before real tests are super helpful! Strongly recommend him!

This professor is one of the best ones at fresno city. He really cares about his students he is a good example for other professors to follow. The class is not heard all you have to do is study the pretest and just review the examples and you should do fine on the tests. Thanks Mr. Stanton for evertthing.

Math has always been a difficult subject for me. I had to start from the bottom and work my way up. He is the Professor to take if you have high anxiety with math. I took 201/103 from Stanton and passed with "A's." He gives pretests that help you pass the actual test and believe it or not, makes it very easy! If I passed, you will too!

He's the best professors Ive had, he cares about the students, he makes everything clear so it makes class easy. He has pre-tests to prepare you for the test so if you can TAKE HIS CLASS!

If math isn't your thing I would highly recommend this class! You have tons of chances to pass the class with the diagnostic, prepost test. Just put in the effort and you'll easily get an A.

Best teacher in mathematics I've had so far at FCC. I recommend him to everyone. He is a dam good teacher and is always willing to help. You wont regret taking his class. Dr. Stanton really wants to see his students pass, to the point that he'll even "bump" grades just for attending lecture. If you're a math major, take someone else since his standards are very low, but if you just need to finish Algebra II to get your degree and don't really need further mathematics, take Stanton. Exams are usually open note :) ezA

Took him for 201 and 103. I was always very bad in math, passed his class with an A no problem! In lectures he uses crazy stories and jokes to keep you aware and focused, it really works! He is an amazing Math teacher and actually make math seem like fun! Take him! You will be amazed!

Gives pretest. Super easy after pretest is taken. Tells nice jokes. I took Brandon Asusmus last time and got a D and this Professor i got an A easily. Trust me. This teacher is great..

Doctor Stanton is one of the best math professors! He's passionate and could relate to us. Fresno City College is very lucky to have him. He teaches the most simplistic and convenient way to do problems and it actually stays in your brain! He gives you a lot of chances to pass the class, like multiple no-risk pre-tests before the actual test.

Dr. Stanton will go out of his way to help you understand and develop the love of math. He is energetic and motivating. He talks about his personal life and accomplishments to encourage you that anything is possible. He explains the material thoroughly and will tutor you if necessary. Best teacher ever!!!

Fantastic teacher! He makes sure you understand it by giving many tests thoughout the semester. But he gives pretests and retests also. He's a crazy genius! Lots of "bad jokes." He makes it fun. I only wish he was teaching statistics...

If you are bad a math then i would consider taking it with stanton! He is very helpful and explains things so well. He gives practice exams before every test and they are exactly like the real thing. No online mastering homework but you still have to do homework out of the book. I got an A on almost every test and i struggle with math. Take him!

Ok first I would like to say I SUCK at math and so after hearing everyone on campus rave about Dr. Stanton I decided to take him for math and I passed the class with an A+ and didn't have to take the final!!!!!! His teaching methods are amazing and clear. Easy class with a great teacher and easy homework and tests. Taking him again next semester!!

I heard many talking about how great Mr. Stanton was in Math 103. I needed that class, so I took the people's word for it, and boy were they right. Math had never been easier than it has been for me before. If you want an easy A and get your units, take this class, but only if you need to take it. P.S. If you like to laugh, he will cheer you up.

Professor Stanton is a wonderful teacher, I have always struggle with math, I never knew I was good at math until I took his class. I have always thought my english skills was better than math, but taking this class I was able to prove myself wrong that I am also good at math. His lectures are fun and his teaching style is very easy to catch on.

I have failed both math 201 and 103 and retook it with Stanton. Passed both with him. I am not the best at math but Stanton really made it easy to understand. He does assign homework but not a lot. The pretest are very helpful and not recorded. Very up beat instructor and pretty funny. Class will fly by. If you struggle with math take Stanton!!

If you think algebra is hard, think again! Because Stanton delivers the highest passing ratio!

Professor Stanton was such a great teacher for summer school Math 103. He understands students and gives many opportunities for us to pass the class. Pre test are given before actual test which is extremely similar anyone who puts in effort should be able to pass. Such an amazing inspirational down to earth teacher. Always smiling.

He is an amazing instructor, and so is his ETC leader, Richard. I wish I could have him for more classes, but he only teaches Math 103. He cares a lot about you, and he will assist you through the whole semester, don't take him for granted. He will tell stories, but that is to help your brain take a break from the class.

I have always been terrible in math but he made it so easy and fun that I would take him all over again. If most classmates do bad on a test he will make all of you re take it. (which is great because you get a second chance) sometimes even a third chance

Dr. Stanton is by far the best math teacher I've ever had! I usually hate math but this class was a breeze. He has such a clear way of explaining. There is hw but it's not much and he's not a tough grader. There's two test a week, a pre test (not recorded) and the actual test. I loved his class so much and that's saying something bc I had it at 7am

Best teacher on campus. He's very nice and makes math so fun and easy to understand! I haven't met anyone who failed his class. I recommend every student take him even if his lecture hours are only available in the morning, it's almost guaranteed that you'll pass his class.

My favorite teacher so far! Don't know how he does it but he makes math comprehendible while being fun to listen to. He won't test the class until we are ready. He pre- tests first, then tests and you still have a chance to make up the test if you don't like your score.

One of the best Teachers/instructors I've ever come across in life. He is so kind and caring! But please don't take for granted or abuse his kindness. He deserves wonderful students because again, I cannot stress enough what a wonderful Instructor he is. He truly cares about his students and makes math fun and understandable.

The BEST math teacher ever! I thought I was doomed when it came to math. Dr. Stanton makes it possible if you're willing to make the effort and make the commitment. I'm horrible at math. He is an excellent professor and explains very thoroughly in his lectures. He gives a practice quiz for every section, if you pass it you don't need take the test. Hardly showed up to take the practice quiz, its identical to the actual test. I just practice of the quiz and A's the test. I didn't have to take last test or Final

Stanton is so funny! I had his class at 7am and he made it fun. Really easy class! Weekly hw from the text book (answers are on the back). You will have a pretest before the actual test which gave us a heads up and most of the time some of the same questions on the pretest would be on the actual test. Do the work and you'll pass easily.

Math was not easy for me , But I finally got the chance to meet Dr. Stanton he a well respected man , loves his students , talk to us about how math works in our daily life. Dr. Stanton just don"t stop there if a student is having difficulty he will help you to accomplish your understanding on the problem, He teaches 210,103, and other math class

Awesome teacher

Took 4-week summer course. Typical class routine: Dr. Stanton gives overview of concepts, take a pre-test, and take actual test. The pre-tests are really similar to the actual test. We took tests everyday. No textbook/homework. He makes materials easy to understand. He's a really caring and hard-working person. Always happy, never in a bad mood.

took my first semester at fresno city. He gets your attention and holds it, he likes student participation. does what all math professors should do and has pre-test and post test by the time the test comes around there is no more test anxiety. best professor ever.

This class was super easy. I didnt even try and missed out on so many class sessions and I passed! Stanton is very understanding and cares a lot for his students. Stanton is a genius. He literally uses a math book that he wrote himself. He knows math inside and out. Unlike other teachers he knows how to teach. And he makes math easy.

Fall 2018. Doesn't teach at FCC anymore. He made lectures chill and funny. I skipped here and there and still was on track. don't skip (too much?) All material was easy. He assigned hw but I never did it and still got a B. As long as you understand his lectures and pass his tests, and depending on your grade, you can pass and not take the final.
