Very good teacher, I hated pubiic speaking before but now I like it more, I wouldn't have any other speech teacher!

I am horrible at public speaking, but this class helped me SO much. He was a great teacher and very helpful to all of his students! If you don't like to speak in public(or even if you do) and need the credit I highly recommend his class!

I still hate speaking in front of people, but he was very helpful when needed. I recommend to others.

The best teacher at Lee College. His class was a lot of fun and I don't even like public speaking.

Mr. Whitlow is very energetic and very understanding if you're nervous about public speaking. As long as you don't give up, you'll pass the class and I found it very easy to make A's. Just do it the way he tells you and you'll be fine. I highly recommend him.

I have a huge fear of public speaking (like most) but he made the class comfortable immediately and he was also entertaining. I wouldn't mind hanging out with the guy.

Well I HATE public speaking, but it is a class i hve to take for my major. But Mr. Whitlow did make the class interesting and funny. After a couple of days I felt comfortable but i just couldn't speech in front of the class but I finish the class with a "C" (thank GOD). Anyways he is a great teacher.

He is very helpful and clear on what he wants out of you. the class is very easy if you just do the work and it is not very time consuming at all. i really liked him enthusiasm for the class.

Very good teacher he is help with his students he doesn's acts for much outside the class. You just need to have all of your speech. Easy

Mr. Whitlow rocks! he is great. Do your home work (very easy to do, a brainless monkey could finish in 15min.) Give your speech don't say "um" give eye contact. And you have a very easy "A"

Two individual speecehs, one group speech, two easy papers and three seperate vocabulary definitions. I read "a bit" and passed with an A. group project sucks if you get stuck with idiots like I did. Extra points for not missing more than three classes, and extra points for doing powerpoint presentations.

Mr. Whitlow's assignments are clear and to the point. In total, five speechs are required throughout the semester. Just make sure that you don't miss more than three days though.

He is such a good teacher. I have a huge phobia w/speaking in front of people, but he helped me overcome it. He makes us all support each other with good criticism and moral support.

Great teacher. He's funny and keeps the mood light. All he expects out of you is that you come to class, do your homework and be prepared when its your turn to speak. I hate speaking in front of people but had a great time in this class. Highly recommended.

AWESOME INSTRUCTOR!!! HE'S WILLING TO HELP YOU ANYTIME. AND HE WILL EVEN LET YOU PRACTICE YOUR SPEECH BEFORE THE CLASS HEARS IT. AND VERY DEDICATED TO TEACHING!

Very helpful, very motivated. Would stay after class to let you practice your speech. Very lax about attendance, and very cut to the chase about your work. The speech I thought was my best I got my lowest grade and the speech I thought was my worst, I got my best. Practice lots, don't chew gum during the speech, and don't "read" during your speech.

Great teacher....He actually clarified what MLA format was after I had already had English 1301...Would def. recommend him!!!

Mr. Whitlow is a great speaker, and he helps his students a lot. He expects effort, but he is very understanding and easy to work with. In my opinion, he's the best speech teacher in the college! Oh, and class was fun.

MR. Whitlow is an awesome teacher! I highly recommend him, he will work with you under any circumstances and if you miss more than three days but you still communicate with him he will let you make the days up in his other classes. He's great!

He is the greatest teacher EVER!!!! You will love this man!!!! He is class is so easy...you only was the textbook to answer the key questions in the chapter [3 questions a chapter for 10 chapters...o you dont even have to read to answer them!!!] do the homework and go return the book!! His class is easy!!! TAKE IT!!!

Most amazing teacher there is :) super helpful...this class was very clear. Assignments were great...I made an A:)He makes himself available ANYTIME by cell...he texts and hes very dedicated to helping. He offers if you do not miss more than 3 days you will get a 100 on the final...but with his classes you wont wanna miss:)

He is the most caring teacher out there ..PERIOD..AWESOME..An amazing man and person. If he sees you around campus he stops and asks you how you are doing and will always give you his cell number if you ever need anything. Best teacher and person you will ever meet.an incredible human being!!!

I took this class during May Mini. He's an awesome teacher! He made everything clear and the class was easy to understand. As long as you listened, came to class, and tried you're guaranteed at least a B. If you didn't miss more than one class you didn't have to take the final. Overall I had a very good experience taking Mr. Whitlow for speech.

Amazing teacher, by far my favorite teacher I've had! His class is fun and I was actually sad it was over. Took his class during the summer and it was fast paced but easy. His grading isn't as tough as he makes it out to be but DON'T READ!

Inspirational speaker and instructor. I left this course with a desire to speak and a satisfying final grade. Lenient grader, you don't have to be a professional speaker, just show that your passionate about your topic and put effort into your assignments. Easy A, interesting class.

This guy is AWESOME! He makes this class fun and relaxed. Attendance is kept, but if you miss too many days, he works with you. Very chill and fun guy. I would absolutely recommend him to ANYONE taking speech!

Before this class I was terrified of speaking, but he made class easy as can be. DO NOT BUY THE BOOK! If you have a friend in the class split the cost or use the library one, using it for a few questions is not worth buying it!

He's conceited in a hilarious way. His speeches are very easy. They are all formatted the same way. There's no final and a free 100 if you miss less than 3 days and do your last homework. We had a lot of people in class who cried during the 1st and 2nd speeches, but by the 3rd, they were awesome. He just inspires confidence and ease. Recommend!!!

Mr. Whitlow is an amazing instructor!! He does not just hand out grades but if you do what he asks then you will make a good grade in his class!!!

I recommend everyone to take Professor Whitlow for Speech. I am a shy person but he makes the class feel comfortable about speaking. He gives example speeches to ease the nervous students and he is always available in his office if you need to speak with him before a big speech.

Mr. Whitlow was by far the best class I've had my first semester here, he's class is extremely easy and fun. I took him for a winter mini, it went by fast. We had 5 speeches, 5 3 question homeworks, and that's it. The filled up fast and no one dropped. I would highly recommend he's class to any and everyone.

If you are afraid of public speaking take Mr. Whitlow! This is an interpersonal communication class, you only give one speech at the end! You will write eleven one page reviews at the end of every chapter and several reflection papers throughout. This class is helpful for your real life relationships, you will learn so much about yourself!

whitlow was the best professor ive ever had. i thought speech was going to be horrible but he made it easier. he is a tough grader but he tells you what to do to fix things. there arent any tests, the only thing is there is homework due after every speech. but its very easy and he barely even looks at it. i would take this class again.

He is very fair. Straight to the point tells you what he wants from you. Strict frame of mind. But I like that in a teacher. Do your homework or he will take points off your speech.

Took him for summer 2017, and he is an amazing, inspirational professor. He knows and is dedicated to his work! Never had I thought I would run into a professor this motivated, at first I was kind of shy of taking speech so I've been ignoring it for the longest, but the way he works and teaches you makes me feel like I should have taken him sooner.

Mr. Whitlow is AWESOME!! I loved coming to class and listening to him speak. He is very inspirational and cares about his students future. His lectures are to teach you to be a better speaker, student and over all person. I definitely recommend him.

Professor Whitlow is a delight! His class is fun even if youre scared to talk in front of people. He grades easy in the beginning and as time goes on he grades harder since your performance is suppose to be increasing. He tries to make everybody comfortable and has funny stories.

Professor Whitlow is such an amazing teacher ! He gives great speeches and he is very open about himself which is something I admire especially when dealing with strangers. If you do your work and speeches you should be fine. Don't procrastinate on the homework or your speeches and you should pass this class no problem.

Mr. Whitlow is an amazing speech teacher! This course was not hard. You have a total of 5 speeches one being a group speech. They only last about 6 min each. Do your speech on the day it is due and you will be fine. Homework was easy as long as you read the book. Discussions afterwards are hilarious. He makes you feel comfortable in front of people

All I can say is this was an amazing class. A few speeches, handful of simple essays, YouTube videos to understand better, not hard if you stay decently consistent. Professor was inspiring, gracious, genuinely cares, thorough, chill, and grades nicely. I hated doing speeches, but I loved this class. Fully recommend participation, but not required.

Such an amazing professor! I dreaded taking speech again as I failed with a different professor, but professor made it so easy! He is a tough grader, but he gives clear feedback on what you need to fix. Would recommend!
