Great professor , fun class. I usually hate writing but i really enjoined this class.Writing was kind of the last thing in this class, it was more about what you think about different subject.Just participate in class and write the papers and you are guaranteed A+

Let's face it, Liberal Art classes are boring but an unnecessary must for any degree. Luckily Professor Dademo made a seemingly boring subject interesting. I looked forward to going to class and hearing what he had to say. All professors should follow his method of explaining and cheering his students on. Would recommend to anyone.

He is AWESOME. One of the best teachers ever. He is smart, funny, outgoing, open mind yet respectful...so much to tell about him. We need more teachers like him. He appeared half way thru the semester. Basically gave away answers for final but at the same time was passionate about what he taught. Kept saying did not know how to grade the class probably made up grades for most of us. Like to a full semester from him. Not happy with the grade as I think I would done better if he actually assigned projects.

He is awesome! Relates personal andor interesting stories so you understand better. He will also answer ALL your questions and will never leave you puzzled. Very easy going and funny. Most of the time he doesn't care that you are not in class as long as you follow up with assignments and homework. XO

Best professor I've ever had. He give you plenty of time to write essays and if you aren't satisfied with your grade you can submit it again for a better grade. He's reasonable with grading, responds to e-mails occasionally and discusses interesting topics-- you will not be bored in his class. Plus he's easy on the eyes. TAKE HIM!

This professor is AWESOME! I had him for both, English 121 & English 122 & for both classes he was extremely helpful. He gives GREAT feedback on your papers. He allows you to revise your paper for as many times as you want. His lessons are all about discussion, but he makes the class very enjoyable. He does his best to be there for you when needed.

He was, by far, one of the best professors I've ever taken. Funny guy, really understanding and knows his stuff. I told my mother in law to take him and he was recommended by another English professor as well, we both did super in his class. He doesn't force you to participate and you won't be doing 100 essays, trust me. Would take again.

He's a genius and respected by the students, there are no test what , lectures are long but they're amazing. He's inspirational, hilarious, has a clear grading criteria, there for you in person and or via email. the longer the paper the better. He is a wonderful teacher that made English easier for his students. He was very helpful with essays. He gave very detailed revisions and overall made me a better writer.

No need to buy the recommended books. You should come to about 3/4 of the classes in order to understood the concepts of the essays (of which we had 3). Ray's personality is beyond incredible, you'll want to be his best friend.

he is very nice teacher. only 3 essays in semester. no midterm . he accepts late assignment . please keep in mind do not use internet information on your essay . he will catch you . otherwise he is best teacher . i am ESL student i was able to pass this class easily. you do not need text book for this class.

This guy is the easiest person to get along with. He made my ENG 122 a breeze to get through. You don't have to show up for his class but the class discussions were always interesting and i learned a lot.

If you want to pass English with flying colors take him. He is an easy grader and doesn't expect a 5,000 page paper. He normally expects a well written 5 paragraph essay. There are 3 overall. He helps write the 1st essay with you! He is hilarious and you will enjoy his class. Highly recommended you take him if you aren't an eng major. LOVE HIM !

Even though it is an easy class bc he's very flexible & understanding, you can still learn SO MUCH from him. He's relatable and optimistic, while serious about improving his students' writing. He is a teacher for easy A. Hilarious,helpful and caring. He respects you as a student helps you out with your homework and classwork. Easy short papers.. gives you up to a week to do them and if you don't like the grade he will let you redo it! He's truly an amazing, inspirational person & I love him!

Great professor. The only bad thing about this professor is he is very VERY slow with grading your papers. If you are someone that doesn't care about that TAKE HIM. If you are someone who hates slow grading teachers, I would recommend a different teacher. No midterm or final only papers. The final is basically your research paper.

Professor Dademo is an excellent teacher. Interesting lectures and films as well as his own personal opinions about A Streetcar Named Desire were some of my favorite aspects of the class. Would recommend taking him, he's very caring about all of his students and let's you know well ahead of time if he can't make it to class/ if class is canceled.

For me as international student , Professor Ray Dademo is the best professor. I would take his class again and again. He knows how to make the lecture interesting. His class is challenging, but it worth it. You truly learn from his class. He is fun, very outgoing, helpful and a great person in general.

prof dademo really cares for his students. if the class is struggling with a paper, he will give us more time and explain everything thoroughly. I NEVER get bored of him talking. he grades a paper that I felt like was C, but got an A. you will also be pleasantly surprised how often he cancel class. I dislike the group activities but thats about it.

The MOST influential and inspiring professor Ive ever had. Hes great, cares about his students and always explains assignments and class material throughly. I definitely reccommend him. And I would take a class from him again if I could :)

Dademo was honestly a great professor, he did make you feel so stressed out even when I had no clue what to do. He also incorporated a multi-model project with the last essay and it was amazing, you won't get bored and as long as you do what you have to do you'll do great. (I was lazy so I didn't do the middle parts between assignments)

Professor dademo from the day spring semester began was so excited to meet new people. I am enjoying his class and I wish all professors in MCC were just like him. I wish i would have taken him for 121, he is a pure gem. Very caring and helpful. Hilarious and engaging. Typical sem: Just 2 essays(around 10 pages each) and 1 multimodal presentation(Easy). He is AMAZING! He is part of my list of best professors at Middlesex. His lectures are never boring, always provide feedback, homework is short, always give you extra time for big assignments. I literally have not complained about him. Even when he wasn't my professor anymore, he helps me out in his office with some assignments for ENG122.

Prof D. was the most helpful English prof. I've had at MCC so far. He is available outside of class and encourages his students to reach out via email or Zoom. I had him for Creative Writing, and the class was so much fun! I enjoyed it so much that I'm taking his Prose Writing class in the fall as well, you should too if it fits your schedule!

Dademo is a popular professor at this school, and I can see why. He is very nice and fun. My course was fully online, so I only interacted with him via email, which he was very responsive to. He's very open minded. However, since he was working on 5 courses at once, he was a little slow with grading. Not a hard class if you read the instructions.

honestly one of the best! had him fully online and everything went swimmingly. he got backed up with grading since he got covid, but that wasn't an issue. he responds quickly to emails! only had to do 2 essays and a final project! the course is very manageable! i would totally recommend him since I'm taking his course over the summer as well!

Yes, there is a lot of homework, but it is all to better understand your essay. He breaks down the parts of an essay so it is all there when you go to write your final draft. It is not just homework for the sake of homework, but for you to understand and prepare. He is great!

I had Professor Dademo for Intro to Film and he is by far one of the best professors I have at Middlesex. I learned so much and we had great discussions! This was a Winter course, so it was packed with info in a short period of time but he managed to make them feel light and interesting with his comedic twists. Strongly suggest taking Winter session as you only have to write ONE essay!!! Grades fair and returns emails timely. Used his slides in future writing classes with success!

You will get a lot out of his class, if you do the work. His approach is light, but he does push you to stretch yourself. Lot of research, but well worth the time and work, and he is accessible to see you through any problems. I thoroughly enjoyed this class.

Ignore the bad reviews, he's had a handful of students take him because they saw he had a high rating and they decided to use AI on writing assignments and they're just bitter they were caught! He does take a long time to grade assignments, but his feedback is always worth it! Had him for intro to film and it was a fun class, take him if you can :)

As long as you watch the movies and actually do the homework, you're pretty much guaranteed an A. The only ways to fail the class are if you don't submit the work or if you use AI (he'll know!), so as long as you put in the effort, you'll be fine. Easy to reach outside of class as well. Professor Dademo runs a structured class with lots of prep work, but it's all worthwhile. Used unstuckstudy and other study tools to stay on top of the assignments and essays. Insightful feedback and a true dedication to student success.

It's been 4-5 years since I've taken his class. Wanted everyone to know that this guy has still been the BEST TEACHER I've ever had. Took this class with my girlfriend (who HATES writing papers), he FR somehow made writing 5-6 pages research papers entertaining. My gf and I still use his essay template TO THIS DAY. Dademo is a good professor, I took this class online, and he provided video lectures that were very explanatory and helpful to learn how to write a research paper. He is easy to get in touch with and gives homeworks feedback.

This class was mixed with a philosophy course this semester, which I did not like very much, but if you take away the philosophy, the film parts of the class were a breeze. All you do is watch movies, do an assignment, and then talk about the movies in class. Prof. Dademo's lectures are fun and engaging

This was a brand new class this semester, and Professor Dademo did a really great job. We talked about so many incredible directors and their techniques, inspiration, and filmography. Homework is super easy, Prof. is very accessible outside of class, and he's willing to work with you if you need something. Easiest A you could get!

Survey of American Cinema was like a film class and a history class mixed into one! Watched stuff like The Wizard of Oz, Harlan County USA, and The Dark Knight, among other titles, and discussed the films and the periods in which they were released. Prof. Dademo gives interesting lectures and the homework is very easy.

Great Professor. Gave 100% on all assignments. Unfortunately though, if you expect feedback on your work, he doesn't really give much without asking. Aside from that, easy English class, and we just made videos. I completed the entire course in about 9 days, because he didnt "release" assignments at certain dates. Great class.

Professor Dademo is very kind and knows how to keep students engaged, even in an online class. Most of the assignments are based on recorded videos—about 90%—so this course is a great fit if you're comfortable being on camera. He is very easy to reach and always willing to explain when something isn't clear. Love to take this class.
