I had fun in his class. He's pretty easygoing and relaxed. Tests are a bit challenging. Take good notes and read the book, and you'll get an A for sure. I had the most fun in his class compared to other classes I've taken at Peirce. Also gave extra credit to help the students out!

Prof lim is cool, the tests are hard but if u read the book youll get it, his really cool and laid back. very helpful and will help u. there is hw but only about 4 or 5 questions each day and u can copy from back of book. so yeah his chill.

Cool guy, understanding. Attendance is "mandatory" but not necessary if you have the ability to read and learn the book yourself. Just show up on Lab days and you'll be set. I failed two tests horribly (didn't study) but I made up for it by kicking extreme ass (100%+) on two tests including the final. It's possible, so do it!

Very nice guy, tries to be intimidating but he is an old softie. Cares very much about your grade, just expects you to care just as much. Tests are everything and are pretty easy, just "oddly" worded questions. Don't be afraid to ask him to clarify on the tests. Do the HW, it's very easy. Answers in the back. He's a fun professor. Hes a Great Prof, however, you need to study! I studied at least 2 hours everyday, just to maintain a C average. He will make you work, but, you will learn a lot.

this is an average prof. reads off a powerpoint and has 5 tests . they arent too difficult but this class isnt a piece of cake

Everything you need for the Exam are from class notes. I don't know why the person before me is complaining but Statistics requires knowledge of MATH!

Stats is a very difficult & hard subject. Professor Lim made it easier to understand. Lets you use a sheet of notes on test. Is always willing and available to help students. Organized & clear lectures. Stats is still difficult; make sure you STUDY! Material gets a lot harder toward the end. Professor Lim was great.

Tests are hard if you're not good at math in general and hw is a waste of time, it doesnt help bc the answers are in the back of the book and who has time for hw? we have labs... still dont know why cuz we do nada in them. overall a difficult class and im a student with a 3.5 gpa

I got a C b/c i stopped going to lectures. I thought that the class was easy b/c i had A's on the first 3 exams & ALL CLASS NOTES were on his site. I was wrong to skip class! The online handouts aren't enough to get u through. Every test ur allowed to bring a cheat sheet, but u wont get an easy A if you don't go to class & study A LITTLE.

I attended Professor Lim's class a few years ago and had to withdraw due to some health issues. I returned to Pierce college specifically so I could retake his Statictic's class. He has a remarkable skill in breaking down the material so it can be easily understood by the class. Hard work and attendance is required for his class. Amazing Teacher!

Somewhat hard prof. You need to study! Will explain/slow down if asked. Petty, tho, and plays a lot of head games. Likes to upset students with surprise quizzes that turn out to be for practice. Says he doesn't care if students miss class but then gets VERY upset at everyone else when class is 1/2 full. Germiphobe, has OCD, resents this website.

He is very nice and helpful if asked. Normally I hate it when a teacher uses a Power point, but it is very helpful when teaching Stats. Tests are part multi-choice and part calculation. He likes to talk about himself a lot and makes a lot of bad jokes, but nonetheless a pretty clear stats teacher. Attendance isn't mandatory but his slides don't contain all the info he gives in class and puts on exams. Overall an easy class, but it's better to attend his lectures than trying to learn it on your own.

Class was difficult-- but it should be! Tests include a lot of material from the book, so make sure to study the concepts from lecture and understand the terminology from the book.

I personally thought he was a great Professor. Attendance is mandatory but not enough. If you want an A you must read the text also. He doesn't cover every detail in class on purpose. If you try hard and he see's it then he'll be a little generous w/ your grade at the end of the semester. PS he's a pretty funny guy so class was fun too, sometimes.

I can see why some students may find him hard because he doesn't assign "homework" like it's high school all over again and he can move a bit fast sometimes. However, you are still expected to study for exams and attend class, although his powerpoints cover most(not all) of lecture. If you'e fairly decent in math, as you should be prior to, easy A!

I'm terrible @ math & dreaded taking statistics. I had taken it the previous semester but withdrew from the class because the teacher was terrible. Dr. Lim was nice & always making sure his students understood the material before moving on. Tests are fair. Most material covered on PowerPoint slides he makes available online. Overall, good class.

Professor Lim does not babysit. The only way you can succeed in this class is of you HAVE THE BOOK, do all the work and go to all of the classes. Hands down best stats teacher at Pierce. He wants you to pass mainly because he wants you to graduate and pay for his social security checks. He is funny, and very helpful. He modifies formulas so they are easier to learn. As well as gives you them on test, its hard not to pass. 6 exams with a final. I would recommend Prof. Lim for Stats.

Professor Lim is a funny, knowledge professor in Stats. Wants you to pass, sometimes teaches you two formulas and lets you choose the easiest formula to use on the exam. Class is based on 6 exams and a final. First half of the semester is conceptional,and second half more punching numbers with different formulas. I highly recommend him for stats.

Professor Lim is freaking hilarious. When I took him for Stats last year, he definitely gave us a good first impression. Sure, he may come off as a jerk at times, but deep down he really cares. His lessons are precise and clear. Read your textbook and your slide notes! The tests' level of difficulty depends on your willingness to study.

Okay let me just say, I absolutely hated math before I took his class, now I love it! I'm a freshman and have been in his class for 5 weeks now. He's super funny and very clear in his teaching. I took his class in the Spring, and he's a great instructor. He is both a jokester and insightful. His lectures are mainly through powerpoints, so take very good notes, read the textbook, and do A LOT of practice problems and you will definitely do well.

Great professor very helpful he pretty much GIVES you all the questions that are going to be on the exam a class prior. and clarifies until the end of class if need be. I hear a lot of negative comments on the Stats classes and I have no clue regarding their courses, but given he's a Psychologist, he's passionate about the class and you can see it.

Best professor at Pierce College! Took him twice for Stats and he was amazing. The information is very tough especially if you don't show up or study. He will help you as long as you ask for it, and he makes the classes as fun as they can be. Grades are all based on tests and final exam. If you're going to take Stats, take it with Lim!

This class is not too hard unless you don't study. If you don't study, you will do poorly, especially as the material builds off each other. I'm not going to lie, Dr. Lim can be annoying. He also tries to be friends with the class and cares too much about what people think of him, especially on this website. haha. He gets the job done though.

I first took professor Lim for stats 1 and he was the same as he is in psych 1, hilarious and really nice. His lectures last all through class but he makes it fun. This professor was amazing!! EASY A but you will learn. He is a great teacher, lectures are funny and interesting. After every chapter you get a 50 question exam on the chapter. The day before he gives you the exam he gives you topics that will be on the exam. Take him! On days that not many people show up he gives extra credit! No textbook needed.

One of the beSt professors out there! He keeps it interesting during lectures. On the day of the exams, he would give us "pop-quizes" and give the class a chance to review for the tests with him. Very accommodating. His class is one of the biggest classes on campus. That's how much students love him. That's something from a weekday afternoon class.

Hands down one of the most energetic and comedic professors i have had. Once you can get past his relentless humor, he is a great teacher. He gives "pop quizzes" on test days and answers any questions that you might have. He lectures straight from the powerpoint, so you can study straight from that but it is definitely worth going to class.

Dr. Lim is by FAR the best professor I've had at Pierce College. He shows you that he truly cares and he genuinely wants all of his students to do well and pass. Tests are EASY, show up for the lecture, take down your notes, and you're good to go! He's worth taking!

If you have problems with math then you should definitely take him! He makes the subject easy to understand and FUNNY! No homework so it's all based on tests. His notes are online but attendance is important for lectures. All you use the book for is the tables at the back so it's up to you if you want to buy it. His notes and lectures are enough.

Great Professor. He takes you through the little steps first and builds you up for the harder stuff. We do a ton of in class problems and get no homework therefore it is only to your benefit to show up everyday and on time. I took the summer session so I had test at the end of the week, easy if you reviewed his notes and mastered example problems.

All his notes are online, print them out! In the beginning his test are multiple choice heavy but as the semester progresses the test will be graded on written formula work. He gives you all the formulas on the test. book not needed. pop quizzes are practice, so they aren't counted toward your grade. He is very fair and just pay attention in class.

I took Lim for summer Stats. The class was easy at first and he spent a lot of time going through the material but then he started speeding through very hard material towards the end. He is sarcastic and fun but teaches well. He understands and helps his students. Your entire class grade though (during summer at least) is based off of 5 tests :(

Math has always been my worst subject, but Professor Lim broke it down in a way that made it clear and actually stuck. His lectures are long but helpful for the exams, as are the pop quizzes he gives which are not part of your grade,theyre just for practice. Attendance is a must as you will easily fall behind.

My class got lucky to have Dr. Lim as its professor because our original professor was unable to teach the semester for personal reasons. From day one Dr. Lim was clear, that we will need to read, he provides all the slides he lectures about in class. He answers all questions and available during office hours, or email.

If you're taking psych 1 because it's required and not because you're a psych major, Lim's intro class is perfect. He teaches you everything you need to know at a basic level, makes it very clear what you will be tested on, and tests are easy. Lim knows psychology well but doesn't go too into detail for 001, so not recommended for psych majors

Statistics is not an easy subject to learn but Professor Lim makes it pleasantly simple to learn. It is your personal responsibility to review the notes and practice the problems that were done during class, and you'll pass! He will explain further if you do ask him to review material you did not understand. I'd definitely take his class again!

I don't care what the other reviews say, this professor here CARES about your success. Yes, there's a lot of tests but they're each only 16% so if you bomb 1, you can still pass with a high grade. I took him for STAT 001 in the fall and I have to say that he was a very good professor. He likes to crack jokes, and isn't afraid to answer questions thoroughly if need be. The class itself can get pretty boring at times, but that was only because it was lecturing for almost 3 hours (of course there were breaks in between). Tests are fair too.

Amazing guy, I have so much respect for this guy, the best professor that Ive had so far! He is a funny and nice and he teaches you the material, I strongly recommend you take him for Psychology 1, you wont regret it! He is very funny btw so preorder to laugh a lot!

He's an amazing professor! I recommend him! The class is based on exams and they are very straightforward. He will help you if you are lost! Even online. Watch the videos and if you are still stuck, read the book. There isn't actually any homework, just exams (The final is simple multiple choices and writing). You will pass if you put effort. :)

Professor Lim is absolutely amazing. He's hilarious and makes sure everyone understands the material. I've never met a professor who cared so much for the success of his students. In fact, at times I felt as if he was doing a disservice to the rest of his students by dumbing-down the material, because THAT'S how much he cares for everyone to pass.

I was very scared to take stats because I am horrible at math, but he made this class very easy to understand. The only assignments are tests. Also, there are some lab assignments to help you understand the formulas, but he does not grade you on them. Very good class and very good professor! Loved it.

Professor Lim is amazing. Take him you wont regret it, I was terrified of Math and especially Stats. He was supportive, replied to emails promptly and would clarify any confusion. You do have to pay attention, as the tests matter-so try your best and if your confused just reach out to him!

Great online professor. Doesnt make the class impossible. You can easily understand the concepts he gives you via his powerpoints and the videos he links you to. I got a C for neglecting this class but its easy to get an A.

This class may be hard but if Professor Lim is one of the most caring and helpful professors I have ever had. Doesn't matter the time of the day, if you need help, he jumps on a call with you. He cares and it shows. He loves his students and wants everyone to succeed. If you are struggling just reach out and he will ALWAYS take the time to respond.

Take him if you dont know math well! There are no live or recorded lectures but hey you can find anything on YouTube! He provides very specific videos from Chan Academy and even gives extra credit at the end. Great course trust me, I dropped my awful previous stats and in comparison with that one - it was a breath of fresh air. Passed with an A

Great professor and makes it easy to understand the material. There are no zoom lectures so you have to read the book and watch the videos. If there is something you do not understand do not wait until the last minute and set up a call with him. He is great at explaining and responds fast. If you do your work you will get an A.

Trust me I dont rate professors but this professor just made my first year in college so much easier for me so I just had to do this. He provides what to read and his quiz is always straight forward. Take him you definitely pass.

Dr. Lim is hands down the best teacher I have ever had, when I say he's a good, teacher I mean he can really make some of the concepts of statistics really easy. I'll say it like this, I have never gotten a grade higher than a B in any math class and I have never found math as an easy topic but Dr. Lim makes it easy and I ended up with an A.

This was my favorite class and probably easiest A of the semester. Lectures are interesting, free online textbook. Grade is all exam based (6 exams) and he lets you use a huge note card on every test. Everything on the test is in his lecture notes and on top of that he gives you a study guide before hand.

Dr. Lim was an amazing Professor. He really cares about his students and makes sure to be there when you ask him for help. Coming from an Asian student you may think that since he is an Asian professor he would be strict but he isn't he speaks clearly and his tests are straightforward. An amazing teacher would 100% take this class again.

His class is easy as long as you read whats provided as well as whats in the book homework is very helpful I would recommend before taking quizzes and tests.

The asynchronous course was fairly easy and well-structured. 12 quizzes make up your entire grade so it's an easy workload but one low score makes a huge dent in your grade. If you make the time to go over your quiz with him, he will give you back partial credit and raise your score. Honestly very nice professor, really cares about student success.

Definitely recommend taking his online course! You get two assignments and one quiz each week. All the assignments are that you need to watch videos weekly and just write one page video summary about the video. Free online text book as well, you just need to read the assigned chapters in order to pass the quiz. All is super easy to pass!

This is the easiest psychology class! I took him during the winter break, and he just assigns two video summaries per week and a 50-question test as well. The class looks a bit unorganized but you can email and he will answer quickly. I totally recommend him.

Take STAT 1 with Professor LIM. You'll have six quizzes divided into two parts: the first is ten to twelve multiple choice questions that are very easy, and the second is three questions that you will have plenty of time to solve. He assists you with six lab assignments. If you watch the lectures and take the practice quizzes, you'll get an easy A.

After being here for 2 full years, Dr. Lim is officially the best professor on campus. He is the sweetest, funniest man you will ever meet. He WILL NOT move on unless everyone understands the material. You have to participate or you will not pass this class. Text book wasnt used much just used a few pages. BUT TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN!

If you show up for class and pay attention, this will be one of the easiest A's you'll ever have.

THE. BEST. PROFFESOR. EVER. He genuinely makes his class interesting, this was one of the only classes I have ever had that made me look forward to going there. Super easy going professor with wonderful lectures that give all the info you need to pass. There is a free textbook and you get a SUPER STRAIGHT FORWARD study guide.

JUST TAKE HIS CLASS!!! Dr. Lim is simply the best professor I had. I thought psychology would be mainly about science but I'm glad Dr. Lim talks more about the thinking and behavioral part of psych. He gives great real-life examples, he's goated!

BEST PROFESSOR ON CAMPUS!! If I could take him for all my classes I would not even hesitate too. Very clear lectures notes and vids that help you understand and get through assignments with ease. The class is separated into 6 parts with each section having one lab, one multiple choice exam and one exam with problems to solve.

BEST PROFESSOR! I took him for Stat101 and Psych 1. He genuinely cares about you and will make sure you leave his class understanding what you learned that day. He's always willing to answer any questions. You have a total of 6 exams to take and they aren't too hard as well as long as you pay attention in class. He's also very funny!

Best professor ever!! He's really nice and his class isn't hard at all. Every lecture is posted online so attendance isn't really necessary(only necessary for tests) but it def helps to attend anyway. Your entire is grade is just based on 6 exams including the final (u get cheat sheets + theyre easy)

Great Professor, If you want a good grade, attend class. Powerpoints are posted online in case a class is missed. Cares for students. Grades are based on exams, and around five exams are given alongside an index card that can be used during tests.

Definitely recommend. Very funny and keeps you engaged. Barely any work outside of class. Just make sure to attend class, as the lectures are powerpoint based. Quizzes are pretty easy and you are allowed to use an index card cheat sheet. Professor Lim is very efficient but will still go out of his way to answer any questions/clear up anything.

Ok, you actually have to study if you are not the best with Stats. But "Asian Dad" gives engaging lessons and you will be laughing most of the class. He's a great teacher, and will help break things down. If you don't understand something, you're welcome to his other classes so you can get more practice. Asian Dad is the best though.

Great prof. Had hand written video summaries every week. 50 question quizzes every 2 weeks. Easy A just do your work and don't miss submitting your vid summaries, it'll drop your grade by a bit.
