Not too far into the semester yet. I really like this guy. You cover a lot of material relatively quickly, but he is friendly and patient and seems to truly enjoy teaching. He schedules study groups for test weeks to give extra help.

My favorite professor. Always willing to help you succeed in the class and has a great teaching strategy. He's the nicest guy you could ever hope to have as an educator.

Great guy.You can tell he really likes what he does and finds ways to make it interesting for you the student.I was failing his class at the begining because I just didnt show for the first month.I honestly think if I had any other professor I would not have got a B.He goes out of his way to help you if you put in the effort.Good note taking is key

He is a great professor, goes out of his way to help. I have him for Winter session 3 hour classes and the time flies by. He really likes what he's teaching and makes it interesting and is easy to understand, class is pretty easy too. He's very funny too and tells great stories.

Tells lots of stories and shows lots of videos that helps you remember material.

He's fun and interested in his subject matter. Teaching majors should definitely take him. He gives study sessions the day of the tests and gives you nearly all the answers. Pay attention, ask questions and participate and your good. I didn't pick up the book at all and I got 95+ on every test.

Awesome teacher! He is very passionate about the subject, and makes even the more difficult concepts easier to understand. He gives great exam reviews, and is one of the most helpful, and patient teachers I have ever had. He also lets you earn extra credit, and all the exams are comprehensive, NOT cumulative, incl. the final.

Great teacher! Definitely the nicest professor I've had at the college for sure. I wish he taught more classes because I'd love to take them. He gives review sessions that really help before the test and if you read the book you are basically guranteed an A on the tests. Tests make up 70% of your grade. Loved him!

Very good teacher! He seems to have a real interest in everbody doing well. His teaching style is one that engages everyboy regardless of how you learn. Tests are multiple choice with an essay q. at the end that he gives you weeks ahead of the test. He offers study groups (you get excrd) where he pinpoints the material you will need. Very fair man.

This is my second time taking him. He goes out of his way to help you, and the review sessions he holds are amazing. At the review he gives you all the topics/questions that will be on the test. He gives you the essay question ahead of the time, and for the project he lets you pick your topic and if you want to work alone or with a friend.

He is such a good professor. I can't say enough good things about him, I thoroughly enjoyed the class and he has no problem clearing anything up for you. I'd definitely take a class with him again. He made me want to be a psych major.

I loved this class! It inspired me to major in psych later. He teaches because he wants to and it's obvious. He's super interesting, so you don't even have to study mostly. I remembered it all because I WANTED to. He has great stories and information.

Pleasant. Enthusiastic. Eager for students to enjoy psych as he does. Got super hi "A" but actually earned low-to-mid "A". Too many opportunities for extra credit. Bust my tail on paper and got the same grade as papers not written nearly as well and with lots of errors. No incentive to work hard.

Dr. Richardson is an amazing teacher. A role model for other teachers. He made a topic that I had NO interest in, interesting and even fun. He covers an incredible amount of material, but makes everything so graspable that it easy to learn and remember. His enthusiasm for psychology comes shining through. Very easy teacher. Gives extra credit on almost everything. Ended up with a 105% average on all 5 test. Inspired me to major in psychology. He will also tell you how he ballroom dances.

Mr. Richardson is the most caring professor I have had to date. He is passionate with what he teaches. His exams are easy. Going to his study sessions is a BIG must and very helpful. I would recommend ANYONE take any of his psychology classes. I regret not being able to take PSY 101 with him, but having him for ED PSY was the best decision ever!

Ray Richardson is very enthusiastic about his job, and very into helping out his students. He does not give out homework, besides reading the textbook, and he only has two papers due the whole semester. On top of that, you take around six tests and you have many resources for extra credit opportunities. Hosts study sessions outside class. Take him.

Mr. Richardson was probably my favorite professor at Harford Community College. He was very caring and willing to help his students. I really recommend going to the study sessions if you're able to. He basically gives you the answers that will be on the exams. He makes sure no one feels out of place or embarrassed.

Super nice teacher just doesn't explain the material very well. If you're okay with going to his review sessions you should be good and also reading along. Which i didn't do until before the test and i did well on them.

He has been my favorite teacher thus far at HCC. He goes over material kind of fast in class but if you takes notes using the text book you will be fine. Everything he puts on the board is on the test, never any trick questions. Plus the essay on the tests are required but only help your grade(kinda like extra credit). Definitely take him!!

Very kind professor that is enthusiastic about teaching. The textbook and review book is a must. If you do not read the material you will have difficulty passing this class. We take 5 big tests and write 2 essays. His lectures are long, but interesting and he summarizes important details.

I loved Mr. Richardson. I had him for a 3 hours night class, and actually looked forward to it everyweek. He uses stories to help you remember the information. He has an amazing sense of humor. Offers a lot of extra credit!

the textbook is "required"but I never bought or used it. The last time I had a psychology class was two years ago and he completely explained anything I did not remember. He gets sidetracked and tells stories but they are all relevant. His tests are kinda easy. He gives an exam review outside of class time and there are many ways to get ext. cred.

Second time taking this professor and i don't regret it one bit. I couldn't have asked for a better pysch professor. His lectures and stories are very interesting, he offers a good amount of extra credit, holds review sessions, and you could easily tell he has a passion for what he does. Recommend taking this professor and buying the book

He was my all time favorite professor. You had to take a lot of notes in class, but nothing was on the tests that he did not go over in class. He has open office hours so you could go by and ask him questions. He would also read over your research paper and give you feedback. He also offered extra credit for going to his study groups.

He did a great job of conveying the information in an interesting manner and had the class set up in a way that if you show up and make some sort of effort you can pass. actually enjoyed going to this class and miss it now that it is over. If you have to take PSY 101 take Mr. Richardson!

Mr. Richardson is THE BEST professor at HCC. I don't know why some say he doesn't explain things, because he explains EVERYTHING that is on tests. I haven't studied for any tests-just looked at notes-and I passed every one. He tells hilarious stories that are relevant to the subject. He does offer EC also. Take this prof you will never forget him.

Ray is full of life, full of knowledge, full of hilarious stories. This class covers a lot of material but as long as you read and attend class you should be fine. He also highly encourages you to attend review sessions with Donna White which are extremely helpful. His review sessions cover all the material on the test in order.

By far one of my favorite professors I have had. Professor Richardson is one of the most knowledgeable people i have ever met and is great at sharing it with you. His class consists of guided notes and amazing lectures where he utilizes his endless amazing stories to help you learn. He gives you every test essay ahead of time and gives you answers.

Professor Richardson is very flexible. If you need help or need an extension, he will easily work with you and/or the class. He tells a lot of stories, which helps when trying to recall info for the test. In and out of class test reviews. Will give some answers for the test beforehand. He truly wants you to succeed and do well. Take his class!!

My favorite professor so far. Funny & helpful,writes an outline of whats going to be covered in class which helps a lot for test. I absolutely loved this professor and this class made me change my major to Psychology. He had great stories that he uses in his lectures which really keeps you engaged. I would absolutely take more classes with him!! Also he has study sessions before each test which are VERY helpful!

Psych is not my major, but professor Richardson almost made me want to switch! Unlike most other classes, I still remember a lot of what I learned and what he said, probably because he is so engaging. I would recommend reading textbook for this class, it helped a lot with tests.

Class is a lecture, but he tells great stories making the information easy to remember. It is a lot of information and you have to study, but its interesting and good information to know. He is very generous with grading and will help with grades in any way possible. Highly recommend.

He's a solid choice for any psychology class. He doesn't require the textbook in class but his tests are based off of them, and I'd highly recommend using it to study because the in-class discussions usually run very off topic. He is very experienced and passionate- overall a good professor.

I finished Prof. Richardson's course today and he announced his retirement at the end of this year. I enjoyed his class. The class is filled with long lectures, but there are stories to help you remember the information being presented. There is extra credit assignments that are easy and will help your grade. There are hour reviews for people that are willing to take the time to come before the test. Over all a great teacher.

Mr. Ray was one of my favorite professors so far. I took his psych class in the winter term so it was 3 hours a day, 4 days a week. His stories made the class so interesting. He offered extra review before class the day of a test. He was a very nice guy and I would definitely ugly recommend taking a class with him.

Was a good professor, really cares about students. goes on story and talking sprees. was hard to take actual notes but stories relat. Funny guy and connects some stories with the content. Ill reccomend, he works with you and most of the time takes late work if you email him and tell him whats going on

I learned so much in this class. He tells stories about his experiences and it really helps you to understand the material. He gives you multiple extra credit opportunities and he talks about everything on the test, so as long as you pay attention you will pass.
