Came in as a sub from Berkley, so i dont know if hes staying put. He is straight forward as it gets reads right out of the book and makes no other effort at actually teaching, attendance is mandatory which makes coming to class dreadful. Make good use of your absenses dont take him for granted his test are not easy, so make use of your study time.

The tests are crazy hard. I studied for them memorizing all chapters and still got a B. The class is not boring though. There are 4 not cumulative tests, 2 writing assignemnts (most people have As on them) and mendatory attendence. Class participation doesn't almost exist. Take him if you are ready to work your *** off for you grade

Great professor! He's really understanding, and made coming to class a lot of fun. He told great stories, and most of the class just sat there and listened never taking notes. His exams were straight from the text, and he assigned two case studies which he graded very generously. Always took attendance though the minute class began.

You better read that book word for word. If you do, you'll probably get an A. Mandatory attendance, but nothing he talks about is on the test unless you listen carefully for clues. All multiple choice tests (with some writing). Some of those questions on the test are so detailed you don't know where he got them. Read chapters he says to read.

The lowest grade he gave on the papers in my class was a b+. Do not buy the text book because its useless. Nobody reads It. Prof Raymond is helpful and I wont regret taking his class. I learned more from his class. He makes everything is easy to understand and his lecture is wonderful. Take this class. It helps you a lot in your career. Eventhough he gave us so many assignments but we learned a lot from doing it.

Way too much work. I think he forgets when he was a student how much one can balance. Too many written papers, 2 globus things due every week. It’s TOO MUCH. I have 4 other classes and work part time, intern, and this class is the one stressing me out the most. Would not recommend.

If you want to take this professor, please read this, AND ONLY THIS. many of the reviews are FAKE and created by him. This class is not that hard with other professors, but with him, he will work you as if you have no life. Forget about your other classes, your job, and hanging out if you take this professor. Goodluck. 3-5 homework a week. A WEEK

Horrible. Tells you all BPL classes are like this, but i have friends in other classes and it is not at all. Prepare to work harder than you will having a Wall St job and being a Neurosurgeon. 5 star Reviews are FAKE. dude would rather fake reviews instead of making his class easier. Not every class does Globus. 1000% DO NOT RECOMMEND

Honestly pls avoid, he is a nice guy but the workload is extremely heavy and unnecessary. Being a senior and taking this class was about to be my 13th reason!! & if you get stuck with a lazy group for the thousands of globus assignments/papers you have to do then also good luck!

Professor Lamanna is definitely a good professor, but I think most students are missing the point of this course and the professor tries to convey it throughout the entire course. Its unfair, its hard work, some items are due periodically, but they put this course last for a reason it because the real world isn't going to be much different.

To many written assignments about 1-1.5 pages or 2-3 pages, sometimes due the same day or even a day apart. Aside from that its an informing class. Overall great professor, blunt and honest with all his students and he won't hold back with what he has to say.

Prof LaManna is very understanding. BPL is hard in general so all the bad ratings bashing him will be literally the same for all BPL classes. It is a lot of work, and sometimes there were too many assignments due at once, but he grades fairly. Tests are based on the textbook and not his lectures. He takes attendance every class.

BPL 5100 in general is a very tough course, that's why this class is mostly for seniors. He's a fair grader and usually the toughest assignments are the group ones. I was put in a great group which made the semester much easier. Study the PowerPoints for tests and everything else is doable.

Professor LaManna is a fair grader, although is unclear when he gives an A-. You get assigned to your team! Overall he just talks about his life and doesn't really teach anything for the in-person quizzes. He sounds a bit too sarcastic and condescending at times. Take note, he uses his email to manage submissions and takes a while to grade.

He is a good guy but lecture wise, not that much. Expects you know most of the stuff by reading the book for the 3 quizzes. Mostly group work through semester which he assigns randomly so good luck. The workload is fairly good but manageable. Grade is based on a lot of things, from the paper, presentation to progress reports. Just read the book

He's chill. Quizes are based on the book, not lectures. I had a good group, so it was an easy class. Gives 2 individual assignments, which are easy to do. Took it during summer - it was a bit intense but it's manageable.

Professor LaManna for BPL is a nice, passionate teacher. His lectures incorporate storytelling and real-world examples. To succeed, take individual assignments seriously, collaborate effectively with peers, maintain a professional and hardworking group environment, and read the book chapters thoroughly and at least once for quizzes/exams.

Despite what people say, he is a very fair professor. Everything was super organized and clear. His lectures are entertaining but irrelevant to the quizzes. Lot of writing and group assignments. As long as everyone does their work and tries in the class, an A is very possible.

Nice easy going class. You won't learn a thing in class, kind of rambles on about nothing, but it is what it is. You must extensively study the slides to do well on the quizzes, but if you do that, you'll be fine. The rest of the work was very straightforward, and very leniently graded

I took MGT 9400 w/ Prof LaManna over Summer and this is a great course to take if you are going through a breakup or trying to escape life for a moment lol. We had 7 papers + group prjct + in-person final. The papers are not hard, but be prepared to write a paper every week for 6 wknds. I would recommend but be prepared to sacrifice your weekends.
