Wimer is a great teacher, especially for freshmen. He is friendly and willing to help, but will not treat you like a baby. I look forward to his class.

I find Professor Wimer rather intimidating..Not a lot of people wanted to talk in class. Very professional class though. He's pretty strict at grading. I managed to get a B+ in the class.. which is not bad I guess.. The group project takes a lot of effort and time so make sure not to fall behind!

Prof. Wimer is very nice. He is very involved with his classes and respects his students. If you do not understand something, go to his office hours, he will explain it all. Overall, good class, although he requires more work than most of the other SOM122 classes.

Professor Wimer can seem intimidating at first. And even though he is actually strict, he's so awesome. He actually cares about his students. He treats them like they're his kids. Even though his work isn't all that easy, it's really not that difficult to catch on because he's very very clear on what he wants students to do and when things are due.

Such an awesome professor! His class might seem really hard at first (esp. being an incoming freshman) but he's a really awesome guy who cares that we succeed in the business world. By the 2nd class he already had everyones name correct. I really enjoy this class. plus open book quiz.

Wimer will definitely make you a better student. He will constantly tell you that you are in the best SOM122 class and he's right. He challenges you to do your best and honestly cares about you. DEFINITELY TAKE HIS CLASSES!

Wimer is the best Whitman professor, hands down. Second class I've taken with him and I don't regret it. He is a tough teacher, but he acknowledges when people work hard in his class. Attendance is mandatory. There are 3 exams and a sales presentation and paper, and he is always available for help.

I really liked Mr. Wimer! The class topic is extremely relevant and he knows what he is talking about! He takes an interest in getting to know all his students. That being said, he is a tough grader, and if you don't try in this class, you will struggle. But honestly, I loved this class and I recommend it with Wimer!

Wimer is amazing professor. I respect him as a person and as a professor. His teaching method is very clear but it requires students to have basic information from reading. If you show up to class without looking through his online notes or reading you are most likely not going to understand the majority of his lecture. Quite a hard grader.

Wimer is not an easy professor, but you'll learn more with him than anyone else. He's one of my favorites professors in Whitman and I highly recommend taking any class you can with him ESPECIALLY if he's teaching a class that is your major. You'll be better off in the future.

Prof. Wimer was one of the best professors I had at Whitman. He isn't an easy grader but he tells you exactly what you need to get an A and will work with you if you're willing to put in the effort. Out of the intro SOM professors, he is most definitely my favorite and I was thrilled to have him as an adviser.

Wimer was a pretty good professor. Lectures were always interesting but make sure to participate because it can help your grade out in the end. He doesn't give a lot of homework and when he does, it's pretty easy. Only two tests (midterm and final) and one big group project.

Wimer has been my favorite professor while at Syracuse. He is so helpful and supportive of everything you are doing while in Whitman. If you want to learn a ton right off the bat I recommend him. He is a tough grader but he only has you in mind when grading tough. He really gets you ready for all of your other classes in Whitman.

Professor Wimer clearly cares about his students and wants them to be as active as possible during their time at college. 122 is the same class across all four professors so the material is virtually the same and he's a fair grader with the group paper. If you push your group members to work hard and study from the powerpoints you'll do fine here.

Wimer has a good sense of humor so his lectures are easy to sit through. If you raise your hand and participate in class he'll love you. The tests are hard and he's tough grading the group projects but he definitely prepares you for everything.

Professor Wimer is a very interactive and fun teacher. He makes the lessons relevant and relates them to current issues. I thought he was passionate about all topics in business, and does a good job of giving a general understanding of everything. Homework is decently heavy but mostly interactive modules that are not personally graded.

Professor Wimer is stern but fair. He knows what he's doing and what he's teaching. The midterm (for 2021) wasn't hard. The final was tough. Participate in class and he'll like you more. Work hard on your presentation because it's a large part of your grade. His classes were interesting too which was nice. He's probably the best SOM professor.

Wimer is a great SOM teacher. He tries to make the lectures very engaging and always cracks dad jokes. The class does have a lot of assignments, around 3 a week and readings. But if you do the assignments and show up to class you'll get a good grade.

Overall Wimer is a great teacher. The midterm was okay, but the final was hard. You need to come to class. The final project is worth a majority of your grade, and you get paired with people without a choice. You are all graded the same regardless of if you were prepared and your teammate was not. Professor Wimer was great. If you want to succeed in his class all you have to do is participate and take it seriously. He is very fair and gives a good amount of time for each assignment. All the assignments are pretty straight forward and consistent throughout the semester. Professor Wimer expects highly of you, but in a good way.

Wimer is a great teacher but HARD. If you try and participate and show that you gaf about the class he will like you. Please study for the exams at least a weekend in advance. Also pray for a good group for the final presentation project (you don't get to pick your teammates). Also, DO YOUR EXCEL EARLY OR YOU WONT DO IT AT ALL.

Wimer is so intimidating but by far the best teacher I've had at Syracuse. He is real and teaches with REAL examples. Don't remember much about the class except that I was constantly excited about it, and that I loved Wimer.

By definition an amazing COLLEGE professor. I think some of you leaving bad reviews dont realize we are no longer in highschool. Wimer tells exactly what he expects from us and its up to you to either put in the effort or not. While he does grade pretty harsh, hes holding his students to a high standard becasue he truly wants the best from us.

He was an awesome professor. The tests are definitely the hardest part of the class; they are open notes, so make sure you take notes on all the homework and slideshows, and it's an easy A. For the group project, choose one that interests you, and just practice presenting a lot then it's a free A on the presentation.

I came into Cuse thinking this class was gonna be easy, but it ended up being my hardest course. Wimer is a great professor, he makes lectures entertaining and class is fun to go to. Hardest part about the class was the exams, you'd think it'd be just like material from the homework, but ended up being very difficult, never really figured it out.

wimer was one of my professors that i think truly love their job. he makes an effort to learn everyone's name and his lectures used real-world applications of the stuff we are learning. the exams r open note but most of the questions were application based. the worst thing was the presentation; he was very picky about saying "ah/um/you know"

Very harsh grader. The tests are open notes and mc but I've heard that they change by year. The presentation he critiques over every single little thing. 3 long homeworks per week. I think he was the best SOM 122 professor from what I've heard about the others. He seems to care about his students and their success. I don't feel like I did my best in this class because I personally wasn't very interested in the material and I didn't apply myself like I should've. The homework takes pretty long from my experience.
