The man is brilliant. He can explain with clear descriptions of terminology with organized notes and handouts.

Dr. Shirinian is a cool guy. Much better than my government teacher in high school. Study his notes and do the classwork and he will give you extra points. You will definitely learn in his class and have fun. He will notice if you get bored so ask him questions because you will impress him.

everything in the tests are straight out of his lectures. the paper was only 3 pages double spaced. and the classwork was easy stuff u could totally bs in 5 minutes. this class should be an easy A. he is really nice and a little funny. RECOMMENDED

His classes are really easy. I took the summer class. The only questions I got wrong on the tests were the stuff he didn't go over or teach in the class probably due to the not much time during "summer" class. All you have to do is completely understand your notes.

I went in to this class thinking it was going to be the hardest time of my life. I went in and it was extremelely useful information. There is no homework, very, very good notes (but lectures are a little boring), and there are 2 research papers for the whole semester. Great class!! Recommend him!! Really fun!!

He is very helpful and cares about you actually learning the material. If you memorize the lecture notes you will ace the test. You have to try, but you don't have to kill yourself. Two papers that are fairly easy, he care more that you care about the topic than anything else. GREAT teacher, extra credit!!! You have to want the A in his class or you won't get it.

i hate hate hate history/government related subjects but this guy made it so so so INTERESTING! he is very clear on the topic and prepares you very well before the test. Very clear and fiercely intellectual, he has a tendency to shout and pick on certain people more than others, but that's part of his charm. Ask him about his book, or look up some of the articles he's written. Workload was very light, just two tests, two papers, and the final (noncumulative). An excellent choice for high schoolers especially.

I took his Poli. Sci. 150 class. Class was moderately easy. If you have any prior knowledge of politics you should do fine. Material is easily comprehensible. Razmig is laidback and mellow. Test has alot of material from book and other that weren't in the lectures. Overall great teacher, cool guy.

His tests are somewhat difficult, but easy to manage if one studies the required test and takes proper notes. He only requires 1-2 essays. No homework. And many opportunities for EXTRA Credit. He is incredibly intelligent and HILARIOUS.

I hate poli-sci and he made it interesting. He gets very passionate and randomly starts yelling (not in anger, don't wory) and so if you are falling asleep he'll wake you up! Very funny guy. Tests are pretty moderate, if you dont read the book but you pay attention in class you'll survive for sure! Only 2 essays and both are easy!

Dr. Shirinian is as others describe. Fairly laidback, puts the test notes up the session prior. He wants folks to succeed; if you aren't doing well in class you have the option of extra credit which is very easy. I would recommend!

There are only 2 tests & they're based on his lectures, so you won't need the book. 2 papers, too, but you get to choose from his list of topics & they're all light. Do 2 short presentations, & more for extra credit. That's it! Piece of cake.

Dr. Shirinian was an amazing teacher! He understands that college can be hard and is very laid back with his class. No homework, and theres only 3 tests. 2 required presentations, the rest are extra credit. Attendance was not checked, only on the first day. I recommend taking his class!

PP presentations (2 mandatory, additional for extra credit) are a great way to learn in-depth, the Constitution, Amendments & various caselaw. Shirinian is a walking encyclopedia. Take copius notes, printout his Canvas study guides prior to class to fill-in info as he lectures. Reading chapters reinforces retention of the info. Great teacher! VOTE!

Online class. 5 discussions, 2 papers. 2 quizzes, 1 final. No extra credit. Provides lecture notes. Paper topics are harder than the assigned material. Even though he wants specific points included that he provides after the fact, no rubric or detailed expectations. Not the easiest grader. His online class is harder than physical from what I gather

This class was taken online during fall and it was super easy. there were only five discussions, two quiz that contained 25 questions, two short essays and one 50 question final. All of the test were based off of lecture notes and were very clear and easy to answer. Overall Dr. Shirinian was great take his class

Professor Shirinian is a force to be reckoned with. He is a super funny and relatable dude. His lectures are very engaging (in a good way). He posts his class notes from canvas which help tremendously for the tests. His grading scale consisted of: 3 tests, 1 essay, 2 in class presentations (2-5 mins long) and class work. I took him over winter. He lets you use notes on tests and you get credit for presenting lectures (any amount of time) and extra credit once you do it twice. He said he believes in grading for learning material rather than memorizing it. Awesome teacher.

Great professor, very nice. However, if you take him I recommend taking his in-class class and not the online. I enjoyed the class when we had lectures but when we went online because of COVID-19 the only teaching we got was our own reading of the book. He still gets a 5 from me though because I liked him in-person.

Dr. Razmig is a great professor for Political science. He is clear with his grading and assigned reading that he wants you to reflect on in discussion boards and essays. I took this course over the winter online and it was simple with 2 assignments a week. Good feedback on assignments as I respect him as a Scholar. You wont regret taking him!

Professor Shirinian's class was simple and to the point: readings, a couple topic presentations (more for extra credit), a couple essays, and a few exams. The exams are easy as long as you study his notes. My favorite part was his personality though; he was so sweet and never took himself too seriously.

Polisc150H. Dr. Shirinian was a great professor for my learning style. The class is self-directed with students taking turns to present topics and your grade is mostly dictated by 4 tests. If you did well in APGov this class is a repeated crash course. Professor is hilarious and says unintentionally out of pocket things occasionally. 10/10!

The tests are just like senior year government class tests all multiple choice, and if you study and put your time into it, you will pass. The professor is a nice man literally bless him a kind understanding man. I wish all of my profs were like him. He gave me so much extra credit and the class is overall easy. don't shy and put time into yourwork

This professor has a clear grading system and provides helpful feedback. The course structure, with 2 assignments per week, worked well for me in the online format. Unstuck AI and the assigned readings were valuable study aids.

Took the 8 week POLISC-150 online class. Structure of the class was very simple. 4 discussions, 2 quizzes, 1 short 1000 word essay, and the final exam. He outlines everything very well and makes it easy to learn. He gives you notes that help you prepare for the quizzes. If you want a chill online class then this is for you. He is a great professor.
