Very interesting teacher. Attendance is not an issue. Quizes are take home and easy. No homework. In class lecture is straight forward he shows you the shortcuts to solving problems. Tests are close to review. Drop lowest test and quiz score at end of sem

I took his Trig class 3 semesters ago, and his Calculus summer class, and was surprised of how much Trig I remembered. He's great. Teaches shortcuts, fair tests; his summer calc. class is hard - because you have 5 wks rather than 15.

Verzeanu is good and funny. He is one of the best math teacher around campus for Algebra & Trig 142 (not for Calc=Hard). He is not easy but not extremly hard either. Show him that you want to do good and he will help you out as much as he can. Recommend

This was a very easy course. If you like to have fun in your classes then this is the right teacher for you. He doesn't assign homework, nor does he care if you show up. Only that you take the tests and quizzes. I'm currently recieving a 98% and it is nearing the end of the semester. Take him!

Very funny guy, also has a very good understanding of the material he teaches, makes it easy to pass his class with little or no work outside of class, all you need to do is pay attention and ask questions. This is the second class i've taken with him as a teacher, and only wish that he would teach the rest of the math classes i require.

I only had him for one day during winter intersession and he was awesome. He explained logarithms and substitution in a very easy manner. He is also a very funny guy and is not intimidating at all. I wish I could have had him as a full-on instructor. The class even wanted him to come back the next day since he was so good. Highly recommended!

Razvan teaches math very different than any other teacher. He has his own way of doing things, and it really is the better way. He's very funny and entertaining. You don't even need the book in this class, just go over your notes a few times. I'd recommend him to anybody, especially to somebody who struggles with math-He makes it easier.

Hes REALLY wierd, but a great teacher. I hardly ever went to class and I ended up getting a B. Just go to class on the days hes going over the test review and youll do ok. BTW You dont really need the book. His method of teaching (although unusual) is very easy to understand.

Attendance is not mandatory, but it's a good idea. If you pay attention in class, and take notes, you will do well in the class. He gives out practice tests before the exam. If you use he practice test to study for the exam, you should do well on the exam.

He is very funny. I took him for both Algebra and Trig and enjoyed his classes very much. He gives study guides and solves all of them on the board prior to exams. That really helped me for exams! He also tells you what is useful to know if you are going to Calculus.

Great teacher, funny guy, could care less if you come or go, took him for math 20+40 and got B's in both. there are take home quizes that he gives you a week to complete with like 5 questions on them. and before every test he basically tells you what will be on it and the answers! I highly recomend him!

first had Raz 6-7 years ago at mt sac. young, very funny, very pretty - loved those coats! - and wild, different from all other math teachers. big crush. back to shool, he looks a bit older and is a bit more cynical but he's still a riot. no quizzes, just exams, attendance is mandatory, GREAT reviews for tests, take notes and you'll be fine!

Great teacher. He has his own methods of doing the math problems, but it is way easier to understand. This is my third time taking this class and I passed with a B.

The reviews are accurate- he teaches his own way (much better than the text), his practice tests are ridiculously similar to the exams, homework & attendance is optional, his shortcuts make sense, & his personality is great. Downside is that he tends to dismiss questions by telling students "don't worry about it". Still, he's the best prof ever!

I really enjoyed his class. It's not stressful at all. The only thing that drove me crazy is that obnoxious people constantly flirt with him and he allows it. But if you want an A, he's great!

The only trig prof worth taking. Period. Bought the book, didn't use it at all except to make the horrible math lab nazis think I was studying math. He has fun in and out of class, and he makes the material bearable (sometimes even interesting.) And hey, if you were him, why not flirt? There are worse things in life than flirting.

The easiest math teacher I have had. The textbook is not required. Only take the notes. Give you practice tests before exams. 3 exams and drops the lowest scores. Finaly is super easy as long as you go over your exams. 3 points for ec which is the hw. HW will help you familiar with the material, so I suggest do it n kill time in your lab hours.

I've never enjoyed a class more than this one...and it's a MATH class. He always gave plenty of examples for each section, as well as answered every question relating to them. Homework was optional, and your grade is based on tests alone. I wish I could take another class with him. He's an awesome teacher!

WOW, the most chillest prof. I've ever had. You don't even have to be at class to understand the material. He gives you the practice test (which is basically the test) the day before, & he goes over it, which makes it easy because you only have to memorize!! Very funny guy & always jokes around while making learning fun too! Cancels class alot too

Very easy class. He does drop the lowest test score out. I took the summer class however. Homework was only turned in for extra credit (3pts). He goes at a steady pace and his practice tests given 5 days in advance of the test are very similar to the real exam. He is entertaining in class as well.

The class started off easy and increased in difficulty. If you like applied math, he's not for you. If you like theoretical math, you'll like him more. It was obvious he had thought about the lesson plans and compiled information from a variety of sources to supplement the text and does not teach by rote.

This class is perfect for those who are NOT planning on majoring in math. He does not have a chip on his shoulder and has no intention of holding you back if math is not your forte. It's hard for me to make an opinion about this guy. He doesn't require HW and lets his favorite students cheat on some of the tests. But he does explain well and always lets you out early. Because he doesn't require HW I got past his class by memorizing things and learned almost nothing. It jeapordized me in math 150A, I passed but with a struggle.

This guy is a genius. Perfect for non math majors. Hot girls get preference and lazy students will have found heaven on campus. If you pay close attention though, he explains math so that even a monkey can understand. You CAN learn if YOU want to...

The syllabus clearly said that if students need help, they can visiting his office. The class don't have homework, but heavily score by 3 test and one final. FInally, keep his study guides, notes and tests.

If you're good at math and work hard, you'll pass his class. For CALC, if you failed it before with another professor, I recommend taking him, he's just like a remedial, NO homework or quizzes, just 3 best out of 4 tests. He's super funny too. I DO NOT RECOMMEND taking him for the first time, 3 out of 4 tests is a gamble. I gambled and passed.

I'd purchased a ticket for this class, but it's free and fun! If you are able to understand when you study your own then take him because he will show you the tricks. You know what they say if you understand the topic, you will explain it simple. He is the one! He explain the topic perfectly! Easy A!

Very funny guy, class is an easy A if you study the practice tests. Lectures are straight to the point 3 examples each section. He may change the schedule around so make sure to go to class just in case he gives updates. He never "no show-ed" to class.

Take him if you are a responsible student. He's very lay back when it comes to homework. Class work, homework, quizzes, participation, and attendance is not mandatory. Simple grading, all based on tests which he provides study guides for. If you want to learn is up to you, put in your own hours of study, be responsible. Ask questions in class.

Professor Raz really simplifies complex math. The method he uses is easily retained and very useful. His simple BOOM really made a difference. I am very happy that i took his class.

Honestly, I took both 141 and 142 got a B and C, and let me tell you it was tough since I wanted to get into Calculus but, Prof Razvan's "Booming" method was very helpful to learn, its really simple he made the trig identities and proves very simple. However study if you need to get into a higher math class like myself.

He gives practice exams that is the same as the exam excepted with the numbers switched. He won't trick you with the practice exams. Curves after each exam. He doesn't give out homework grades or quiz grades. He is pretty much handing you an A with the practice exams.

Heres the thing, I am absolutely terrible at math. But Professor Verzeanu made the curriculum simple to grasp, so that it wasnt too difficult. Lectures were short, and he had a great deal of patience w/ students. He gives study guides before testing, and they are basically the exam. Study that, and youll be fine! I ended the class with a 98%.

Razvan is simply amazing. I learned so much in his class. He has a very laid back approach for teaching math and I think its great cause lets face it, math is BORING! He explains problems in a way that everyone will understand and he makes having to take math bareable. Hes always willing to answer questions if you dont understand the material.

Professor Razvan is really fun and funny, however I would not recommend him if you are a math major. Teaches the very basics of the subject and is a very easy A as he does reviews before each test and gives away several answers. I have found however, that i am struggling in CALC due to several topics skipped. Take him if you don't need further math

Had Razvan for 141&142 honestly hes not the best math professor because he only teaches the basics and the stuff only needed for his class. His classes are fun, be cares about the students so much he makes sure that you understood what he is saying. Almost every lecture ended early. Super easy A and no homework at all and 3-4 tests drops lowest.

He is a good professor and really funny. There are three tests and drops your lowest one. The practice tests are the exact same thing as the real test, just with different numbers. I didn't need the textbook, he would let you take pictures of his so that you could do the homework.

No homework which is a huge plus, definitely wouldnt take this professor if youre a math major since its slower paced. I really enjoyed this class, it taught me a lot about things I had forgotten and definitely enhanced my math skills which I appreciate. I didnt feel pressured at all during this class. I had this prof for MATH 142, 151 and now for 152. He is a great professor; and often times gives students the majority of points for exams. There are 3 exams and a final. The exams are all just on the "major" concepts of the course, so nothing difficult. The final consisted of questions from the practice reviews given prior (around 1-2 weeks).

took calc for fun (art major) and it actually was fun. funny lectures that are super ez to understand. grade is based on 3 big tests and a final, lowest of three tests dropped. (no hw :D ) he changes around the schedule depending on our pace in the module, like most profs do. you get your grades the same day you take the test.

I would retake him he is a very funny guy and easygoing. All you have to do to get an A is study his practice test and exam and you will pass it.

I absolutely love this guy, he made Calc 2 as clear and as easy as possible for us students. If you do his practice tests you will absolutely pass, he's also very easygoing and gives extra credit for tests. If you have a chance to take him, even if it's in person, DO IT. You won't regret it.

I currently have him for calc I, i'm at an A. Tests are super easy and are mirror copies of the practice exams that he gives out on week 1 of class. Attendance isn't huge , I just advise you show up on review days as he breaks down each problem on the practice exam. I took calc in high school and has helped a lot since he can be confusing at times

There's no homework, there are four exams, but he does give a practice test that is basically the test with different numbers or wording. Show up for class, he will say its no mandatory but he breaks it down very thoroughly during class. He also always answers questions and emails. Overall very easy class.

I had no pre-calc or calc knowledge before taking his classes and still passed with an A. He doesn't teach calc 3 though so if you need to actually learn I would suggest taking a different teacher.

Prof is easygoing. Doesn't use Canvas everything is printed. No graded homework, but he provides a syllabus with practice problems for each chapter for extra help. He doesn't collect it, but you can ask him questions about those problems. Practice exams are similar to the real tests, he also pulls in examples from lecture and chapter problems.

Took Calc 1 and 2 with Prof Raz. I am very thankful for him as I struggled with math before hand. His teaching style was amazing for me. He makes everything simple and clear. He tells you day 1 that attendance is not mandatory. That is true, but it is on you—the student—to attend class because exam days can be fluid they may move earlier or later than originally scheduled. He does not assign homework, Exams are your only grade, he teaches what he will test on and even gives practice exams so you know what to expect.

This guy needs his own comedy show, just show up to class take good notes and study them before the exam which he provides a study guide for that is the exact same as the actual exams, he's really funny, just don't piss him off. 4 exams only 3 midterms 1 final and drops lowest midterm and NO CANVAS OR HOMEWORK.
