Mrs. Adams was a little challenging but very fair, and very clear about what she wanted. She nice when you come to her office hours for help, and will always give you extra time and extra help. I did well in her class and know I earned it.

Great teacher. I loved her. You can do well just do the homeworkand show her you are trying.

Mrs. Adams' really wants her student to think for themselves. She gives a lot of quizzes to check if you did the reading. she's hard, but it's an interesting class.

enthusiastic, cares if you do well or not. writes a lot on your papers and you get to do as many rewrites as you need to do to do okay...

Very clear on assignments, gives a grading sheet with the assignmetn that tells you how you will be graded on it. Lets you do as many rewrites as you want to keep getting a better grade. All her quizzes are open notebook. Easy class, really, if you do the work.

Great class, take it online if you can. Not hard, just do the work. Easy tests, and she lets you rewrite all your essays for a better grade and does not even average them--you just get the revised essay's grade!!

Prof. Adams gave me the foundation to write exceptional college papers. She is fun, cares about the students, creates work to make sure students stay on top of reading, AND ALWAYS made herself available to help me with papers if she and always allowed re-writes. TAKE HER CLASS IF YOU WANT WRITE GREAT COLLEGE PAPERS! AWESOME TEACHER!!

Mrs. Adams is a wonderful professor. Her class is far superior to any other 101 course I have taken at HCC. If you are looking for an easy grade, do not take her, but if you are looking for a clear, concise and challenging teacher, who will push you regardless of how good of a writer you are, Mrs. Adams is second to none.

She really likes the poems and stories we read. Makes you work hard. Daily reading quizzes so you can't get away with not reading, but then in the end you think cool, I read all that stuff....

She's a great teacher. No students go left behind in her class, so if you ask for help, you'll get some legit help. She's tough concerning the MLA format, so your essay can be awesome, but in college the MLA format is important so heads up on that. All her assignments make you a better writer, so i recommend her.

Having attended this class during the fall semester of 06, I want to address the previous comment that this professor does not help, or is rude. She is not an easy teacher, but always made herself availlable to help any student motivated enough to come to her for help. I never, ever saw her being rude, although many students were very rude to her.

Wonderful class. You actually get to have your own opinion about the stuff we read...not always the case with lit classes. You HAVE To do the reading because she quizzes you on it (BEFORE discussion so there's no fudging) but this teacher is one of the very beset HCC has. She gives extra help and lets you rewrite your essays with no penalty.

Very good teacher. You will truly learn how to write well. Great prep for college writing. Lots of reading and writing, so make sure you can keep up!

If you had to take ENG 101 again after having Mrs. Adams, that's because you didn't do the work. She is very thorough, very clear, and very fair. You simply cannot get a better teacher at HCC for this class. There is a LOT of reading and writing and you have to keep up or you wont pass and will have to take it again, sure.

As an international student, I had her both for 101 and 102,and I learned a lot from her. She is a good writer, wonderful personality and very open mind. In her class, not only I learned how to write, also I learned how to make the points logically. She helped me build up a good foundation on English writing. So take her, you will be a good writer.

I would recommend Prof.Adams for those who want to learn and improve their english writing. Her class is extremely hard to get a good grade, but if u're looking to learn. Take her she is a very nice professor

You have to read every week and she quizzes you on it so if you don't, you get a zero on the weekly quiz. That took some getting used to. Her paper assignments are clear though and overall, she really is not hard at all.

You will learn a lot and have to do a lot of work.What I don't like about her is that after every essay assignment, she would pick out two or three essay to project on front of the class.But she always have to make important corrections right in front of the class.She seem very careless when grading our work.She always hand stuff back late.

I enjoyed this teacher very much. She makes the material fun. Very interesting class discussions. Writes helpful comments on essays and always there to help.

This professor teaches English 102 online. I thought the class was way more work than I expected, but I appreciated how much she was willing to help. This is a very understanding professor. If you take her online though, don't fall behind or you will fail the class for sure.

Just finished this class. One discussion and one one page paper each week for three weeks, then an exam that takes the whole week. At the end of the class, you have to write a 7 page research paper on your favorite author. It was not hard. You just have to do the work as you go along. I'd take her again, but I am glad the class is OVER WOO!!

I really learned the basics of how to write a college essay in this class. The teacher was very clear and helpful. Easy grader. Very helpful when I went to see her during office hours. I wanted an A and I got an A and it was not hard.

I took ENG 102 online with Professor Adams.She answered all my questionsright away, and I really felt connected to the other students because of the discussions/interaction. She is very organized about the way she posts the work so you won't get confused about what you have to do when. I'd tell anyone and everyone to take this class!

This was my favorite English teacher ever. I finally learned how to organize an essay in her class. She makes sure you know about thesis statements and MLA. She taught me how to write essays for all my other classes too. Very nice lady! I went to her for help all the time and she was always there for me.

This teacher was so helpful and easy.I had to retake english 102 2 times and when I took it with her I did very well.She is very clear on work and she will encourage u 2 see her for help.As far as grading if u emailed her she would give u ur grade Thisis an easy A.

I guess it all depends on the student because I loved this class online. It was the most organized class I ever took. I have done okay in other English classes but in this one I got an A.

This professor is wonderful. I cannot recommend her enough...creative, smart and funny at the same time. Makes the subject interesting and not so dry.

I took Prof. Adams online for both Eng 102 and E262 (Women in Literature). I'm surprised she received a handful of negative comments because I thought she was a great teacher. You actually learn how to analyze literature and write responses to literary pieces being in her class. She does assign a lot of work (but hey! it's COLLEGE!).

Very clear. Has high standards. I learned a lot. Gives commentary on drafts so that you can hand in a better paper. Responds to e-mails. I thought this was a great class and I am taking her again for the next one. I'd recommend her to people who want to learn, and tell the free loaders to take someone easier from whom they will learn nothing.

Thought she did a fine job, I did my part and she did hers. Didn't have to worry about knowing what to do next. It was well planned out.

Made this class interesting and I appreciated Sci-Fic alot more after I took this class. We used the text book alot. But the class was great. Learned alot. Teacher is awesome & makes everything easy to understand.

Wow I'm really disappointed in reviews on prof Adams! I loved her class! Her grading is not harsh, she's very fair! She's super sweet and super helpful! Just go to class, do your work, do your homework, and make an effort and she will help you 100%! I recommend everyone to take her! And I hope to take another one of her courses in the future.

English is an east subject for me. Professor Adams is very easy and overall good instructor. Her class is an easy A if you attend class and do the work. Would take her again and recommend her to any one especially if English isn't your favorite subject

She wants you to have read the homework. She is very understanding if you have a problem and come to her and explain and work with her to get a different due date. I thought she was easy but that she also helped me learn how to write better.

This professor was fair and clear. I passed with no problem. Not too much work. Four our of class essays, and we had to use an outside source for three of them. She walks you through it. Some reading but not too bad. Two essays written in class. I liked her well enough and thought this was pretty easy to pass.

She's clear with her assignments. Read & Do your assignments she really just wants to know what you think about the readings. Your personal opinion gets you an A just follow the MLA style rules on your work. She checks your work do not plagiarize. Start research paper early on one the writers you study in this course. Take her course She is great!

This is the second class i've taken with Professor Adams. She is clear on her expectations each week and is a great professor!!

I took her summer ENG 102 5 wk class. I emailed her three times and all three times she got back to me within two hours. Her expectations were very clearly communicated and were easy to understand. While I wish she graded work a little faster, her grading was fair. Her lectures about the readings were very deep and made me think. I loved her.

It was a lot of work BUT I enjoyed her reading choices. She is tough, and expects a lot. Not an easy class, but highly rewarding. U get an amazing experience with the sweetest, most caring and helpful teacher ever. my writing skills grew tremendously. I would take her again, anyday! Best teacher ever! 4 serious students only.
