I loved Biology of Sex! Professor Brunelli is very straight forward with the information you need to know. If you stay for the review sessions she goes over almost everything on the exam. There are clicker questions every class so you have to attend class. Powerpoints are given to you with fill-in-the-blanks. Very helpful and wonderful professor!

Brunelli is one of the best professors I have ever had! (And I do not say that lightly) She's super sweet, wants everyone to succeed, and genuinely cares about her students and animals. This class might be slow for people who have taken alot of bio like I have but she really gets the point across and makes it fun. DEFINITELY recommend!

Professor Brunelli teaches one of the most interesting, exciting classes at Chico State. She has a graphic design background so she knows how to make awesome presentations. You can tell that she genuinely cares about her students. Brunelli is passionate about her subject (Bio of Sex), and she expects you to come to class and come prepared.

Best teacher I've had. Helps, is funny, keeps information up to date, posts notes from lectures online. Clickers are used for "quizzes" that are full credit, even if the answer is wrong. Would recommend.

Dr. Brunelli certainly loves what she does and it shows and how she teaches it to all of us. I don't know may professors who would get such joy teaching us about animal "sex" but she enjoyed it. The class was much more than that though. It started from the Darwin and moves up. I recommend if you are even curious about the class, give her a try!

.3 lecture, .3 lab, .4 online. Super clear and friendly. You can get points back if you explain your answers on tests (if it was confusing or something). Approachable. Weekly lecture, only went to the first 2. Group labs are a pain because not everyone works together (GE). There for the student! Online homework is pretty heavy for a GE.

I took this class for my upper division pathway and has a really tough semester, so I was missing a lot of class. My grade was dropping and she reached out to me to see what was going on. She literally saved me. She is so helpful and a really good professor. Definitely take her if you have the option!

Great teacher. Clicker quizzes every day for participation credit (so it's okay if you get it wrong), a couple "midterms", usually weekly online homework. Overall a pretty easy class if you give it any attention, and the teacher is great. She is also really determined we understand the subject and encourages office visits.

Although I personally didn't have her as my lecture teacher for Bio102, I really wish I had because she was my online instructor for that class, and was incredibly helpful! She thoroughly answered all my emails and questions within the same day, sometimes within the same hour, as when I sent them. She is such a sweetheart and really recommend her!1

Highly recommend Brunelli. Took this class for my upper division GE pathway but became genuinely interested in the subject. Not much homework, and its really easy when there is. Tests are straightforward, all multiple choice. No reason you shouldn't pass this class with an A or B. No Textbook required!

Lectures were never dull, with her. She makes every lecture exciting and fun. Barely any homework and tests were easy if you went to lecture. Amazing to talk to during office hours she is so knowledgeable in animal behavior. Some online reading is done but its not a lot and its interesting. I wish she taught all my Bio classes honestly.

Rebecca is an amazing teacher. She is very passionate about the material and about teaching in general. There are not very many assignments so as long as you show up the class it is easy to do well.

This class was great and I felt like she kept it very interesting (even though the topic is already) and made class fun to attend. She kept it humorous but still academic. There are participation points every day and a few homework assignments and exams but class is great!

Best professor I've taken out of all my 3 years. LOVE HER. She makes the class easy. Clicker question everyday for 2 points but you get points for participating, not getting questions wrong. So if you get 3 questions wrong, you still get 2/2 for participating. SHOW UP. A LOT of extra credit! YOU WILL GET AN 'A' IF YOU TRY. And there's no book!!!

I wish all of my professors could be as passionate and devoted to their students' learning as Becki. Assignments were easy, content was interesting and engaging, and she explained everything clearly and concisely. If you didn't understand something or wanted to know more about a subject, Becki is available to explain!

Dr. Brunelli was great. I had Biology 323 with her this past spring and I actually learned alot. She also was super understanding about my situation as well encouraging me when my grade was in the dumps in the beginning of the semester. Gladly take her again if I had another GE class to take.

Doctor Brunelli was my online professor but she was so great, she worked through everything with me over email incredibly well. She wanted to help me succeed in her course with however she could. She is truly a great person and professor would recommend any class with her. Minimal read along homework with helpful readings.

What an amazing professor! Even though her class sizes are 60+ students she works to get to know each of her students. She typically gives four tests throughout the semester and provides studies guides that are exactly what the test includes. The material is interesting and the class atmosphere is amazing.

Best professor Ive had at Chico State. She genuinely cares about her students and is accommodating to students needs. Offers a lot of extra credit, exams are easy as long as you do the study guide, and very easy homework once every one or two weeks. Definitely recommend taking this class, I learned a lot!!

Becky was so nice! Literally, one of the most caring professors I've ever had. I'm an English major so I figured I'd struggle in a bio course but she made the lectures really informative and genuinely cared about both her students and her work. I'd definitely recommend taking this for your Upper Division GE!

Listen, Dr. B is a breath of fresh air from professors who don't care about if you are actually learning. Always there to help & great at communicating. Don't mistake caring & clarity for "micromanagement". 1 hr 15 min class w/ a break in the middle. I promise you can make it w/out your phone that long. Dr. B is the definition of a great teacher.

Dr. Brunelli is one of the most compassionate teachers I've ever had, who clearly loves to teach and keeps class time interesting. I've never gotten bored and whenever I had questions she was always willing to engage me both in and outside of class. It's incredible that she can make every one of her students feel important despite having so many.

Her dedication to her students is something I admire. If you study the study guide you'll be fine. I like the no phone rule because I get easily distracted.

Almost every she assigns is an easy A. All the assignments are online and you have plenty of time to get them done, and sometimes you get multiple attempts on the same assignment. The tests are online and open notes. If you want an easy GE class that you can pass with minimal effort this is the way to go.

If you have the opportunity to take this class, do! Dr. Brunelli makes sure that you understand everything she is discussing and the material is really fascinating. There are lots of extra credit opportunities and if you are having any difficulty understanding the material Dr. Brunelli is almost always accessible.

Believe me when I say Becky Brunelli is my favorite professor I've ever had and I've been in college for 5 years. The first day of class I could tell she was an amazing person. She is so caring and wants everyone to pass. During the 2020 pandemic and protests she reached out to everyone and told us she was there for us even after our class ended.

She works tirelessly to deliver amazing content with occasional guests from her wildlife rescue which is cool to see! Her lecturettes are so informative and easy to navigate. I almost want to say that this class should always be online, but she is so lovely and I know how much weve missed out and how much she misses her students! 10/10 love her.

Anyone who says anything bad about Becki or her teaching is a terrible person. She's the best. She will help you with anything and she puts so much effort into her job. Take her always.

Professor Brunelli is hands down my favorite professor I have ever taken and Ive been to two colleges. She is very welcoming and understanding as well as easy to get a hold of. The lecturettes are fun and interactive and when we do the zoom lecture she always has something fun planned to help us really understand the material.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER. I promise you will not regret taking this class. She is SO nice and understanding. All you have to do each week is watch a couple of quizzed lectures (which are really interesting and easy) and then one assignment that is also easy and fun. She makes learning about sex and animals fun and enjoyable.

11/10. Her teaching style is fun, entertaining, and easy to digest. She cares so much about her students and is absolutely wonderful in regards to mental health concerns. She's great at making complicated material simple and non-stressful. Fun, creative assignments. Uses the remind app for easy communication. Can't recommend her enough.

This class is so easy and her lectures are well structured. Make sure to not wait last minute to do the videos tho!! Shes so understanding and cares about students mental health + gives extensions if needed. You have two free classes that you can miss if you have an emergency or etc. Take her class its interesting & fun!! 10/10 recommended!!!

only homework is lecturettes on mondays you watch a video and answer questions, in person classes are for activities, very engaging and sweet professor, she really cares about her students and what we are learning. there is also a day where she brings animals we got to see a kangaroo and a monkey as well as a frog, snake, and hawk (I believe?)

This class is both genuinely interesting AND an easy A. Brunelli is an actual angel, I cannot recommend taking a class with her enough. All her lecture videos have animals in them and she even brings the animals into the classroom for a day!

The ONLY reason i got a C was because I did not take the last test. I went through some difficult personal issues and did not make it to finals. HOWEVER, hands down the best teacher I have ever had. Not super hard at all. Going to class was easy because it was interesting class. NO COMPLAINTS!! TAKE HER!!!

Dr. Brunelli is kind, caring, and a great inspiration to her students. Homework is fairly easy, and the midterm and final (multiple choice) are challenging. I enjoyed meeting her as a person, and was inspired by the work she does in the community, as well as her willingness to be an open and honest person instead of just a faceless professor.

Dr. Brunelli is really nice, and the class isn't too difficult as long as you put the work in. The lecture points come from a lecture video and chapter quiz each week, plus three exams, each of which cover one unit. The textbook is free, which is great. If you don't miss any lectures, you get 5 points of extra credit at the end of the semester.

She's awesome! Hw consists of watching the 1 weekly lecture video, reading a bit of an online passage, & taking a 10 question quiz. The quiz isn't timed & all the answers are in the reading + lecture which you can view while taking quiz. She does little activities in class to show attendance & you can have a flashcard for each exam(3 exams total).

We only meet once a week most of the time we only had to read a few chapters from the textbook and answer questions after, no matter now many questions you get wrong you still get 100%. We only had 3 exams not cumulative, we were able to take them online, so we were able to have it open note but you can usually bring one notecard for it in person.

Dr. Brunelli is exactly what you want in a professor. She is obviously very passionate about teaching and science. She gives many opportunities for make-up work and often extends deadlines. Her lectures are often fun; she doesn't just stand there and lecture at you- she does her best to make it fun and engaging.

She was so caring and always wanted her students to succeed. Her lectures were so fun too, she always had activities planned not just lecturing the whole class. The smart books always took me forever tho :( but the questions go until you get 100% so you can't do bad on homework unless you don't do it.

She is a very passionate and lovely professor, always making her classes entertaining but also educational. Not once did I dread going to her class, rather I looked forward to it. She has good lectures and slideshows that help you absorb the information and make learning fun!

Dr Brunelli is great, however the lectures (once a week) are 50 minutes and she just goes over the things that you will be learning online so kind of a bummer especially if you are a commuter. You will love having her as a teacher, you will hate the assignments with McGraw-Hill that has 61 concepts and three videos lectures (10-12 min) w/ quiz.

Her lectures were very interesting, along with the lecturette assignments she would give. She gives a lot of useful information for whatever topic was on that week, and she didn't assign an absurd amount of work. The work was distributed fairly, and she gives easy to follow study guides for the tests.

dr. brunelli is great !! there are weekly lecturette videos which are usually about 75-80 minutes total with embedded questions, we had two exams and she brought in animals from her sanctuary after the midterm ! the class is very easy and as long as you keep up with the lecturettes you'll be fine.

Doctor Brunelli is genuinely cares about her students learning. I highly recommend you take this class with her, she also has an amazing backstory with her other job. She sometimes brings animals into the classroom from her rehabilitation center. 10/10 rare professor.

Dr. Brunelli is an excellent professor and such a caring person. Show up to the lecture day and stay on top of the smartbooks/videos, and you'll do just fine for this 4-unit course. All exams given are allowed a 3x5 index card, double-sided to use as a "cheat sheet"; fill that out well, and you're guaranteed at least a B in my opinion.
