She is one of the best teachers at west valley. She is very helpful and she goes the extra mile for her students. She's there for you and even goes out of her way and office hours to help you with any kind of situation.

She's rather disorganized, but her attitude makes up for that. Gets along with students really nicely! Not stuffy like some of my other Engl instructors in the past.

Rebecca is a very loving and kind hearted women. Although her class is found to be a little unstructured she is very intellegent and doesn't have a problem relating to her students and that's what makes her a wonderful teacher.

Shes an awesome person! She is really funny and sweet. The class tends to get off task, which isnt always a bad thing. She is very unorganized though. Never really understood when things were due and when we did turn in papers, it took like a month to get them back! Nice teacher but weird class

She's a very sweet teacher but she is the type of teacher that should be teaching at a highschool..not a college. She does not return paperwork on time instead students have to REQUEST that their papers be given back to them. Other then that if you have problems on your essays she is very helpful and considerate in that area.

Extremely nice teacher. She helped me learn a lot about english. she is always there when you have any type of problems, if you get to know her she is super funny and a very outgoing person. She is always in her office hours. You get lots of homework, lots of reading responses which have to be two pages long and you get three major essays.

I took her for women studies and she was great! her class was so interesting that it did not want to make me miss a day. I was always so excited to go to her class because you learned a lot and it she helps you see how the real world is. She is super easy, super flexible, super nice. If you want an easy A, without doing much work, I RECOMMEND HER!

Professor Cisneros is a very good teacher, very nice and helpful if you need help or if she sees you struggling. Class is boring, but than again what class isn't. She's very lenient about turning in late assignments or if you need an extension. Essays are VERY toughly graded and hardly any tests. if your a good essay writer, i recommend uTAKE HER!

I LOVE this teacher and highly recommend her. The people that put negative feedback are the ones that never showed up to class. She's willing to meet with you outside of class, re do essays to get a better grade, and gives you a TON of background information before having to write an essay. An AMAZING teacher!

This teacher is AMAZING. So low key and totally into helping you succeed. She gives a ton of background info on a subject before assigning an essay and if you totally bomb it, she lets you re do it for a better grade. No tests and very friendly. The people who rated her negative, are probably the people who never cared to show up for class.

She's awesome, she's genuinely interested in people, and in teaching them. She's not really strict, open to people working together. If someone's talking in class, she's more likely to join the conversation than get mad at it. She's one of my favorite teachers I've had.

This was a great class. She always took the time to work with you in person in class, writing lab, in her office, and via email. I learned A LOT in this class and never thought that I would want to become an English teacher until after I met her. DEFINITELY worth my time. BTW Do your work or you will fail!

Rebecca is a great teacher, only thing is that there are a lot of readings, but it is manageable. Stay on top of assignments and you'll be okay.

Rebecca is very nice and supportive. If you communicate with her she will help you! Although at times class may get off topic she always emails what you have to do for class and doesn't force excessive work if class doesn't get to all assignments done.

Easy to impress & pass on paper. Very group heavy & requires a LOT of time outside of class dedicated to the group projects. It is not a good class for students with extra curriculars or work.

I love her!!!!! Best english teacher ever!! She cares about her students and wants to help you improve. Show up to class, do all of your work, don't fall behind and you'll pass.

I don't know why there are so many negative reviews for this professor. She was not the best professor I've had but she definitely was not a terrible professor. She's a super sweet and caring person but her class load is anything but light. I took her for 905 and we had to buy a textbook for the access code that we used a few time, honestly, all the information was on Purdue owl which is free. Unlike my English 1A and 1B class, she requires you to read books for your essays. just be prepared for the work.

I am unsure why she has some people in the awful section. She has been the best english teacher so far for me, there is usually no homework if you get your work done in class i love how she gives us work days in class to work on essays very beneficial. Her lectures are fun and understandable. she is nice, VERY caring !!!

Music in class; There are 3 essays that I need to write this semester. (2 from the books; 1 from the researches) There are 2 books and some articles that I need to read this semester, so prepare for reading. There are all about black people, or stereotypes and PTSD.

Rebecca is really sweet and flexible as a professor and cares about her students. Each class follows a pretty clear format by discussing the reading, and it mostly revolves around class discussions rather than lectures which can be nice. She responds very quickly to emails.

She actually cared for her students. All you have to do is the work and there are 3 essays but the first two are pretty easy and the last one is about a book you will read. She wants you to read a lot of pages in a short time span but that's coming from someone who doesn't like reading. She actually cares and want to get to know her students.

Great class. Not a lot of reading and gives good videos so you can grasp the concepts in the class. Responds quickly and always clearly answers questions.

Rebecca was a great teacher. On the first day, I went online and there were A LOT of module assignments to work through which made me nervous at first. Most of the assignments though are just videos (EASY credit) and are actually useful, not just irrelevant BS that some profs fill their class with. I'm taking her again next semester

This is a brand new course offered at WVC. Her video lectures are terrific! There are two textbooks needed for the class, but they are inexpensive. No exams/quizzes! Just weekly in-depth discussion posts, one group project, and a research project as your "final". If you put effort into your work and reply to peers meaningfully, you will do great!

One of the most rewarding college experiences I’ve had, and that has to do with the professor as well as the materials she presented. Cisneros is passionate and quite knowledgeable about the subject she teaches, and is quite clear about her expectations.

The professor is sympathetic, strict, and hilarious. Group projects happen often but are voted on by the class. Participation is not forced but highly recommended for the sake of learning and understanding. Broad topics and discussions in class and homework can be lengthy but interesting with thought provoking topics. Highly recommend the course.
