Professor Deville is a marvelous teacher. The knowledge I received from her class was invaluable, even having had previous knowledge of the subject (Asian Humanities). Make sure to be engaged and take effective notes, as this will help for her exams. I would take another one of her courses.

Her online classes are COMPLETELY self-motivated. The reading is pretty hefty, and you have to due it ALL to get an A. For a 12-week class, I thought it was fairly easy and she is really young and nice. Plus an easy grader! One of the best online classes I've taken so far!

I took this class online. Do the work, read your textbook and you'll do fine. I'm not sure what grade I have (hopefully it's above a C) but I did learn alot from this class. Before, I didn't care much for humanities, but now I do have some interest. Great teacher, very straight forward and adds an element of interaction to the class. Great teacher.

Great teacher. Very in tune with the college life and the students. Easy and fun class overall. Reading and attendance in the class is a must, and it's very easy and the readings pertain to the tests. I highly recommend taking her. You won't regret it.

I took her HUM300 class, and was very nervous prior to the semester starting. I've never taken an 8 week course so I was worried it would be fast paced and boring since the class was 3 hours long. That was not the case with Deville. She's great, and her midterm and final were very easy! Definitely recommended and I look forward to take her again!

Great class. Great professor. Clear. Easy. Its really simple, especially if you are truly serious about your college education. Really fun and you learn a lot of information. Makes you want to go to class above all! I felt guilty the few times i was unable to attend, sign of a great class/teacher.

Her online class is super easy! homework is easy and the tests are easy cause your taking them from home. She's a great professor and shes passionate about her subject :)

She's realy sweet and her lecture's are fairly straightforward. Be sure to do the study guides, though, because she definitely puts in questions from there. Skimming through the reading she assigns is also helpful but I barely ever did and I still got an A! She's also a really gracious grader when it comes to essays and assignments.

Do the study guides and you will do well. Essays and presentations are graded pretty lightly, so no worries there. Reading is very helpful, although not absolutely necessary to get an A. keeps class interesting by adding variety to lectures, fun class, definitely recommend

I took her online class and was happy I did. She's an understanding woman and organizes her class well. Each week you must do your reading and complete her checklist which is usually a quiz and a mini lecture (her voice is very soothing!). Quizzes aren't too hard if you read the book. Take her class!

DeVille is an awesome professor and her class was the EASIEST class I've ever taken in college. I took her 8-week classical humanities course and it flew by. Attendance is important because she gives lecture notes and i-clicker quizzes worth points but no other quizzes or exams were given besides the final. She's so sweet and loves what she does!!

Rebecca is a wonderful professo. I've taken her for 300 & 332 (she was so great I had to come back). Her lectures are very interesting and the entire class was attentive. Take her class and you'll know what I mean! Show up, pay attention, do the reading and you'll get an A.

Took the hybrid class, be prepared to do a lot of reading and keep up on your weekly assignments. Mrs. DeVille is great though, very caring and helpful. You have to go to a museum or attend a performance for the class and write about it so be prepared to do that.

I took Humanities 332 Online-Hybrid, Professor Deville is very knowledge about Humanities, had an organized course layout, and is easy to contact by email. She wants students to do well and presents information to students without her personal opinions. how up to class, do the assignments, read the textbook and you will do well. I got an A.

Deville is an awesome professor who makes humanities fun and easy. If you show up to class and pay attention you should no problem at all getting an A. Study the study guide handouts because they are word for word the midterm and final.

Took over Summer, fairly small workload-- reading and video watching. Homework was easy, tests were easy. Would take her again.

This class was one of my favorites. She is very passionate about all the information. She is crystal clear of what she expects of the midterm and final. Midterm is all multiple choice and final is multiple choice and one essay. She gives maybe one or two homework assignments but thats all. Overall, a really easy going class.

Professor Deville was amazing! She gave us a clear syllabus, easy hw assignments there was a midterm and then a final and essay due at the end. She is an easy grader and the online was a breeze. Textbook not necessary IMO. Loved her!

Really easy A class. There's only a midterm that is multiple choice, a final that is multiple choice, a short final essay, and few other minor assignments. She is super cool and I loved our in class discussions. I hate art, but she made it really fun. She gives a packet for each chapter so just know all those review questions and you will be fine.

I took Professor DeVille, first 8 week course. It's an easy A. Trust me. You barely have to open the book. The first exam (midterm) consist of 50 questions, all multiple choice. The final exam is 100 questions and all multiple choice. Only have one project, which is pretty easy to do. Take this Professor and you will pass.

I'm a math and science person and so I dreaded this class before I started. Professor DeVille makes the subject fun and gets me interested in Humanity. Study the study guide and you will get 100% on your exam. The class is overall very easy and stress-free. If I knew how easy it really would be, I would have taken it over the summer also. Luv her.

Typical slideshows + lecture are way more fun with Prof Deville. She's funny & made me want to travel the whole world. We dont focus on the text much in class but rather discussions. She really understands the struggles that come with being a student and genuinely wants everyone to do well. Her few tests are easy if you read the chapters.

She's very easy to learn from and gives you everything you need to pass the class and if you study the study guide you're almost guaranteed an A great teacher I highly recommend

I took the 8 week online section for this course. Very straight forward of what needs to be done. One chapter due each week that includes a written assignment and quiz. Written assignments are super easy and I didn't use the book all semester. She provides 6-10 videos a week that will be enough to know the material on quizzes and exams.

Professor DeVille is awesome! Her class was great and I honestly felt sad when it ended. You have to do the work but if you read the book and do the study guides you'll pass.

I'm taking her online class, and I am enjoying it very much. Every week, there are videos to watch and a written assignment for the specific unit. Quizzes are easy as long as you do the study guide and read the book. You must also attend a cultural event and write about it which is very easy to do. Overall, a very kind professor. Would take again.

She is a really good professor. I took her two times and she is a cool professor. Keep up on the reading and she is willing to help you if you don't understand something. Favorite teacher at FLC. Do the assignments and its an easy A. Assignments are easy to follow. Study guides are on point with quizzes. Online quizes are really easy as well. She is so funny and connects with the class.

SHE IS THE BEST PROFESSOR AT FOLSOM LAKE! She is super sweet and caring. She makes class interesting and really involves the class in discussions. Make sure to read the book! Some of her tests involve info not discussed in class, but found in the reading. She will be your favorite professor!

I was so fortunate to take Professor Deville as somebody who just decided to get back into college. She made me want to keep coming. I still rave about her (a year and half later) and wish I had a major that needed more classes by her. Use her study guides and you can pass the class. She loves humanities and it shows in her teaching.

I took the online 6 week Classical Humanities course with Deville. You have to read the textbook in order to pass the weekly quizzes but other than that, the class was easy. She responds your emails fairly quick, and she offers fun activities to do with the weekly less that are not mandatory.

Loved DeVille. The midterm and final (not cumulative) are easy if you study the study guides provided. She really cares about her students and makes class interesting. I thought it was pretty cool going to a museum as an assignment, which she gives you all semester to do. Graded by few assignments.

Easy A if you do your reading and pay attention. Graded on 4 things only; midterm, final test/essay, and a critique paper. The paper is easy and fun while the tests and essay can be scary because they are so heavy. Just be present every class and you'll get by fine. Stressful at the end but very fun and interactive class otherwise. She cares!

One of the best teachers I have taken at FLC. I was dreading HUM at first but Deville made it extremely interesting and easy to understand and relate to. Super fun teacher that truly cares for her students. She even remembers me and asks me how I'm doing a year later! I highly recommend taking her, she gave me a new perspective on HUM.

Professor Deville is so nice. She is very interested in your success. Shes also down to earth and very funny. Her lectures are super interesting too! If you show up and do the work, youre guaranteed to pass. However, she doesnt offer a lot of work so your grade really depends on the midterm and final (but if you study, youll pass).

She will work with you if you reach out to her. Super easy work load just make sure to turn in everything on time and participate. She doesn't make you reply to other peoples discussion boards if you don't want to so it feels less forced. Super sweet and always tries and makes the class more fun even though it is online.

She is by far the best professor I have ever had! She is so kind and caring and she does not make you respond to discussion questions if you are not wanting to! If you do the quizzes and the discussion questions, you will 100% pass.

This class was great, I took with with hardcore science classes and this was for my IGETC requirement. Honestly, sometimes I forgot this class even existed, in a good way of course haha. She is very straightforward and our quizzes online were open book so we can look around for answers. I am a student of history so I really didnt have an issue.

As another rating mentioned, you forget you're taking this class. I did the 8 week summer course--Very minimal work and easy assignments. This was definitely my "lighter" course. She links tons of videos in her lecture material, so be prepared for that. Also she provided the textbook free. I'd take her again for HUM, overall a nice experience

Professor Deville is genuinely one of the best teachers I've had. She's extremely kind and devoted not just to teaching, but to what she teaches. Her classes are not difficult and are actually pretty interesting. Definitely take this professor if you are signing up for a course in Humanities and if you want a teacher who cares about you.

She was very understanding of students and the class was super easy. Her discussion boards are very short and she doesn't make you respond to others. She assigns 1 easy quiz and 1 discussion board per week. There are 2 big projects, a midterm and a final but they are both very simple and don't require a lot. Easy class and great professor.

This class was online but was one of the easiest classes I have taken in my college career and even over my high school classes. Professor DeVille was virtually uninvolved and even stopped assigning her video lectures partly through the class. It's a very self-paced course. Although the professor does have some interesting home opinions so beware.

Best prof I've had so far. VERY easy assignments, and it feels like she tries to get involved with students more than just on an educational level. The assignments were discussion posts, and weekly quizzes (which were super easy) I would SO take her again. Highly recommend.

The class was honestly very simple and was not a big stressor! As long as you watch the lectures and read over the free readings she provides you will do very well on the weekly quizzes. The assignments are typically engaging and fun! The only complaint I have is it takes her forever to grade! Had a project due in late october. It is now December

Posts funny memes. Every week is consistent and self-regulated. Barely any assignments each week, mostly content. Content was interesting, and the final was a fun project instead of a test. Quizzes and study guides were helpful. Only issue is that she never responded to my emails, so can be hard to reach. Would take the course again, it was fun.

This was actually the easiest class I've taken in my entire life, reminded me of middle school. For my final, I accidentally submitted the wrong document, then the next day (past the deadline), I realized it and sent a message to her apologizing. And she said no prob just re-submit the right one, and she gave me an 100. So I def recommend her class

Also reading comments from other students saying it's impossible to reach her and that she never responds to emails. Her syllabus says in bold not to email her, and to message her thru canvas only. She responded to me multiple times in under an hour. Please note that if you deicide to take her courses!

She's very talkative and loves connecting material with her own life. I still see her around campus, and she still remembers my name and says hi. Attendance is marked but she leaves it up to people to show up or not to get points. Lectures are pretty fun, and she makes sure to engage with people even if it's slow. I've taken 2 of her classes so far

Prof Deville's online hum class was super fun for me. I enjoyed learning about the arts from ancient civilizations leading up to the medieval world. I loved the free ebook so much I actually bought a copy for myself. Gave fun & informative vids on chaps. Easy db. Timed quiz&final were largely based on ebook. Interview & museum visit w easy critique

I enjoyed her classes, especially the Museum Critique Paper assignment. She has a strict AI policy. The tests/quizzes are based on the reading and sometimes time YouTube videos, so if you study you will be fine. Also shares funny memes, in her daily announcements and every week is consistent and self-regulated. The content was interesting to learn

Great professor! She gave super engaging lectures, you can tell she is very passionate about what she teaches. Doesn't overwhelm you with homework and only had one required textbook which she got us a discount on. As long as you pay attention to the lectures and do the homework you will pass this class with ease.

She makes Humanities enjoyable and I actually care about the subjects at hand now, whereas before I didn't even know what Humanities meant. No textbook, no tests, just great lectures and a few individual projects. You lose points if you don't show up but she doesn't care much about absences. Always has good music playing at the beginning of class.

I took this class online and our midterm was to go to a museum and write about it. I found that cool and fun. Only thing that is stressful is her quizzes are timed with not much time for the amount of questions she gives. Final exam she has you download something to record while you take it so you can't cheat which is smart just out of the way.

Probably the closest thing you could get to being perfect. The best professor I have taken at FLC (most probably because it was the only professor who's class I actually cared showing up to). Each day was something new. As long as your tuned in and contribute, you'll do just fine.

A super nice lady; I took her class in person, and she genuinely cares about her students. Assignments are reasonable and I learned a lot in her class. The only downside is that she takes forever to grade, but the trade off is worth it because shes great.

Extremely easy professor who's also a kind person and makes the course fun. Everything we covered all semester you could learn in a few hours of serious study on your own, so great for an easy A but not great if you want depth.

The reading seems like a lot but you just have to remember basics and a few details for the tests. We could use handwritten notes on tests so they were easy. I don't know why we had to use honorlock but be aware cause I almost missed a test when I didn't have my camera. I did wish there was a little less art focus, but it was a nice course overall.
