Small classroom tactics DO NOT work in big classroom settings. Mrs. G needs to drop the debates and keep the discussion groups if anything and actually teach more than once a week. Students register to learn from an instructor, not be left to do all the teaching ourselves.

I want the money I paid for this class and the book refunded. Terrible class. Learned a little bit, but Mrs. Griffith left so many crucial aspects of child development untouched. She says "I can't cover everything in the book!" but she only lectures once a week on average and has us activities to fill in the rest of the time.Don't take this teacher

The students who rated her negative are OUT OF THEIR MINDS. She is the best instructor that I have ever had. Everyone I talk to loves her. Yes, she is funny but focused on class content. She cares about all students and always tries to involve us.

Only one word needed to describe this instructor - INCREDIBLE. The negative comments probably come from F students who are HIGH. It is true that sometimes she lectures only once a week, but it is a 2X a week class. Unlike most instructors, she tries to keep the class involved by constantly changing it up. The debates & dis. groups add variety!

Mrs. G. is an amazing teacher. She keeps the class engaged and interested. Her lectures are fun and she tries to get her class to participate as often as possible. She has a great sense of hummor and it seems like she teaches so we can all use the material and apply it to our lives.

She was a cool teacher, always tried to make class fun, and would ask what we thought of the class. The tests were all online and the final was take home but u had to use ur book and take some notes from lectures and powerpoints to answer some questions. She usually hinted at what facts would appear on the quiz.

You actually learn about life and the conditions that go along with living. You will also learn to speak your mind in discussions and debates. Highly recommended to anyone alive!

Her lectures r very useful. If u cant handle the sex talks, then ur not ready for college classes. Most CD classes will talk about sex the majority of the time.Ms. G just touches the surface in the 42 class. Nothing like 39 & that is w/any instructor not just her. U R weak dude! Get over it!!!

Ms. G is a fantastic teacher. If you have the opportunity, you should definitely take one of her classes. She is really funny and the time flies in her classes. She lets us use a sticky note for the tests which makes them pretty easy. She is a great teacher overall.

She waited till the end of the semester to tell us our overall grade. Found out the only assignment I missed dropped my grade from an A to a C. I couldnt do anything to change it because she waited till the final weeks of the semester to tell us. Very unfair.One of the tests was one question asking if we had the textbook, you failed if you didnt!

When I took this class it had 180 people so it was huge but she definitely would help out if you reached out for the help. She is SO funny! Always laughed really hard every class. She has NO filter which makes the whole experience even funnier and more entertaining. Extra credit opportunities do come up, some of which involve dancing! SUPER FUN!

I took her last semester and I absolutely loved her class! I didn't buy the book buy I paid close attention and I passed with an 'A'. When I did the debate I didn't speak much but I still got a 'C' on the assignment, I highly recommend her.

I took every class I could with Miss G. You will have to do the work in her class, but they aren't hard assignments, and she allows you to be really creative. She is knowledgeable and actually CARES about her students. She will go the extra mile to help you if it's possible for her to do. She thinks outside of the box.

I absolutely LOVED Miss G, don't take child development with anyone else. There is no assigned homework other than the midterm and final, and both of those are done online. There are chapter quizzes also online which are very simple if you've shown up to lecture.

SHE IS AMAZING! Her lectures are clear and to the point, and she tries to engage the class in activities that are really fun and help you learn. She talks about her family (but not in a boring way) and is just an overall amazing teacher.

Was a really informative, interesting and never lost my attention. Always show up because she gives iclicker questions for points that you can not make up, and if you ever miss days remember to be on your A game and get high scores on her test that's what can make or break your grade. Also important to keep your notes for midterm and final.

i love her energy. she tells it how it is, if you are some one who has a hard time hearing ugly truths, prepare yourself for some honesty. she mentions the book often but you only need it for the midterm and final. i found a study buddy and borrowed hers for those two occasions, otherwise its unnecessary. all quizzes are online as well.

You must show up to class . the way she explains lectures makes the time go by fast. Shes very entertaining and funny .Notes are super easy. And so are the tests. Best part about that that they are all take home/online so you can use your notes. Must have clicker always to get points.

Took her for child development 39 super easy class! Never missed a class so it bumped my grade a whole letter at the end of the semester. Attendance is extremely important, thats where you get the information for what is going to be on the quizzes. 1 debate /paper is a big part of grade. Clicker is necessary to pass class.

She is great! She is very thorough with her lectures. You do you have to take a quiz about once a week or maybe every two weeks but it's not too hard since it's open now and online. Highly recommend her!

Miss G is a great person. Her lectures are so interesting, but I remembered very little from them. I wasn't used to the way her lectures were set up with the fill in the blank note taking guides. She assigns quizzes after every chapter on canvas. They can be hard at times, but mostly easy. The midterm and final are really long. Overall easy class.

Absolutely amazing class. Was my first class here at COS and definitely left a lasting impression and a standard to hold all other classes up to. This class is what inspired me to change my major. She's interesting, funny, and helpful. Only one paper. It's a long one but you get to pick from a variety of topics. Debates are always interesting.

Took this class over summer. Felt like being at camp. We painted rocks for a grade. You'll watch a lot of videos, and pick one news article to write a paper on and discuss in a group. Easiest class I've taken.

Since my class was online, I never met her, but she was always very accessible and responded to emails quickly. Only a quiz and 1-2 small assignments per week. Do them and you'll pass the class.

I remember that on my first day of college I was in the Admission Center because apparently for some reason I was dropped from all my classes except from her class and I never thought that I would miss her class. I went and spoked with her about what had happened and she understood me. Also with the dabate speech she was helpful.

Well you have to be in class every class day because the iCliker participation really matters. She really cares about her students. If you use your phone, she'll make you bring treats to your row. If by the end of the semester your grade is like a 88.83%, she'll bring that grade to an A. She's very funny, I really enjoyed having her as a teacher.

She teaches from the heart and makes class fun. Shes amazing. I would absolutely encourage EVERYONE to take this class regardless of your major. You will learn so much.

Miss G is one of the best professors I've had. Everything she has to say, I want to listen to it. She brings up very interesting topics in class that get me thinking and I love how much she cares for students. Her stories are the best and I try to listen whenever she opens up and tells us anything.

Ms. G is very passionate about her subject. A textbook and clicker is required for the class. Textbook is only used on the midterm and final (online). She puts up power points to print out. Quizzes are on the lecture and ONLY about what she taught nothing you did not learn. There was only one paper SO DO YOUR BEST ON IT!

Miss G is hands down my favorite professor. She has pre-written notes with fill in the blanks that you fill in during her lectures, which makes it very easy and she uses some stories that she tells to the class in the quizzes to make them more fun. We also use clicker remotes, to vote anonymously on questions. You won't regret taking her class.

Miss G makes the class interesting, even if you are not interested in child development and are fulfilling a requirement! On top of that, she's hilarious and her openness about the topics she discusses is amazing and appreciated. Many class discussions and lots of lectures, but she makes it fun :)

Take Miss G!!! Her lectures are super funny and interesting. Final and tests are all online. We have to do ONE debate/paper, but it's pretty easy. TAKE THIS CLASS! Content is fun and she makes it even better.

She is awesome! I loved her lectures because they were so interesting and helped me stay focused as well as how she made her students feel included in class. Never pull out your phone during her class and there is one big project at the end of the semester so take time to do it and follow her directions closely to pass.

Down to earth professor who seriously loves what she teaches. I had a great time attending mandatory zoom lectures with her this fall semester 2020. Participate in Clicker for easy points. Only one large assignment the whole semester. Quizzes were super easy. Little to no homework. She may come on strong initially, but she's an amazing professor.

Miss G is absolutely amazing. I took CD039 Fall 2020 and it was via Zoom. You have to show up to pass, but she is very easy to follow along and makes learning CD fun. There is a debate you have to do via zoom, but for someone who has a fear of public speaking I was fine. Take her class, you won't regret it.

Miss.G was absolutely the best teacher at COS, Id take her again and again. She really cares about what she teaches and knows how to grabs students attention. You have to actually go to class to pass. She is hilarious and is inspirational in my opinion. If youre thinking of taking a CD39 class take Miss.G you wont regret it.

Ms. G is a very understanding professor. She has so much experience and very fascinating stories that she adds to her lectures. Take notes on her stories because they will be on your tests. Your tests are going to be some of your only assignments so make sure you take good notes. Her tests are open notes. Do not buy the textbook until she says so!

Ms. G is an overall great teacher. Make sure you rarely miss class and listen to lectures carefully. Not much homework, but the things she gives out like tests and such need lots of effort since she is not work heavy. She made learning fun and interesting.

Ms G is the best! she has many years of teaching and is trully passionate about her job and students success. I am going to miss going into her class every week her lectures are so fun and interesting. Test due every week that covers lectures and her storytimes so pay close attention to detail. 1 debate throughtout the semester.

Miss G. clearly explains on her syllabus what she expects from her students. She is passionate about her job and it shows through her teaching. She really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. I really enjoyed participating in the discussion boards and reading her feedback.

Miss G really made coming to class fun and I looked forward to going to class every week. She wants her students to enjoy what they are learning and you can really tell. Tests aren't too hard if you go to class, and things should be pretty smooth if you go to every class.

I absolutely LOVED taking Miss Gs class. Even though it was online she still managed to make a great connect. Her feedback was awesome and it kept me motivated. PLEASE if you are considering it, TAKE THE CLASS. You will NOT regret!

Miss. G's class is one of the best classes you'll ever take! Just try to show up to class and you'll be all good with the quizzes she gives out on Canvas. There are about 8 debates in the semester, but you only need to do one, and along with 1 writing assignment to complete after you've done your debate. All in all, easy class!

Ms.G is absolutely amazing!Each lecture she did was powerful.After each lecture there will be a quiz, but they're open note. There is also a debate that you have to do,8 different topics but you just choose one. You also do a paper.Overall Ms. G is my favorite professor. She's a very kind person. She is very passionate and reasonable. Great at giving feedback and is always happy to help in whatever way she can.

Take her in-person classes and NOT online. She is such an amazing professor and will make you laugh. You cannot use your phone in class but she makes class so fun I forgot I even had a phone. If you get caught on your phone you have to bring food for your row or dance. Debates are simple you go up and say a couple quotes in front of the class.

Rebecca Griffith was an amazing professor. She cares about her students and wants them to pass. She is a tough grader but her class is fairly easy if you pay attention. She actually reads your assignments and if you try she will give extra points. She works with you if you have any trouble and she makes it clear as to what she expects.

Professor Griffith is so rad, yes I'm apart of her "cohort" lol. The passion she has while lecturing was so inspiring because she loves what she does. The hardest part of this class is literally showing up, the question is how bad to you want your A? Very clear in her grading criteria, offers extra credit, and very approachable for questions. 10/10

Best professor ever. I'm upset when she cancels class because her lectures are so fun. She focuses on learning through telling stories and is great at it. There is a quiz once a week on the lecture notes and it is open notes. Make sure to do more than just the fill in the blanks on the notes. The final is easy. Easy and fun debates.

I took Ms. Griffith, and I loved her. I would 1000% recommend her she is an amazing professor BUT be sure to come to class!!! It will count towards your grade!!! she knows how to lecture and is very hilarious

Miss Griffiths is an amazing teacher who covers heavy topics. Her class is not for the weak-stomached or sensitive, but if you take it, you will learn things about yourself you never knew. I loved it and would retake it anytime.

I would not recommend taking this class in the summer. It is very fast-paced for that time. Miss G gives plenty of extra credit opportunities. You must do all your work in this course. I took this online and had to be self-motivated to do assignments. Miss G does not do lectures online.

Professor Griffith's CD039 class is a must-take. She brings a fun and engaging teaching style, making lectures enjoyable. Attendance is crucial, but the work is manageable. Unstuck ai's practice quizzes helped me ace the weekly tests. Highly recommend!

AMAZING! Miss G is hilarious and sensitive in the best way. I'm taking her next course as well. Attendance is very important but the work is easy. There's one debate you must do in front of the entire class with 9 other people but that's the only difficult assignment. She recommended not to take her online class.

Ms. G is an amazing Professor. I would definitely take her class again. Her lectures are easy to understand but you have to show up to class!! You have a certain amount of absences, so use them wisely. Everyone in the class has to sign up for 1 and only 1 debate; it's pretty easy, you just have to do some research. She's super funny!!!

Ms. G, is one of my favorite professors! Her content is clear and easy to accomplish. She responds to emails quickly, and it is easy to earn a good grade in the course, as long as you participate and do your portion. (This review was collected in a paid promotion).

Miss G is a nice and caring teacher. Just be prepared to write short essays for discussions boards. She has quite a few requirements for weekly DBs and will deduct points for minor things. Other than that enjoyed this course and would recommend taking her class. Will assign a couple recorded video responses pay attention to rubric for full credit.

Really easy course overall. Make sure to review the rubric for assignments, it tell you exactly what you need to do or else you'll lose points. Lots of discussions posts but are interesting to do, some video reflection assignments, and quizzes for each chapter. She has extra credit and always has announcements of whats need to do each week.

She was the first class I took after being away from college for 10+ years. It was by no mistake she was my first professor. She was caring, open, honest and inspiring. Without knowing, she awakened something in me that I have been missing for years.

Miss G was my first professor at the college, and she was incredible. Her kindness towards her students surprised me, and she is hilarious to listen to. She gives minimal homework and as long as you're present, you're likely to pass. P.S. ask questions during debates and get the pins!
