Probably the worst teacher I've ever had! She never talked about anything revelent in class and her assignments were terrible and she never gave back papers, including my final! I pulled a B but I have no idea how.

Barely comes to class, when she does she talks about any and everything but english or lit. off the wall tests. she has favorites and mostly gives C's unless she really likes you. Do Not take her class. you will never find her on campus for help she hides in the teachers lounge. i made a huge mistake taking her again for literature!!!!

This teacher is really far gone. Although I got a B in the class she didn't teach me a thing. It's true. If she likes you, then you'll pass. I don't think she even really grades the papers. I wrote my final essay on Spongebob Squarepants, but somehow I managed a B? Stay away from this one and take Jennings or Baker if you really want a challenge.

Prof Heintz is not a godd prof at all. She is just a crazy Democrat who complains on how horrible our government is.We watch Al Gore's Incovenient Truth about Global Warming, Michael Moore's Bowling for Columbine (another far left film). She never really taught us anything about english or how to write papers and I still gat a C. Gay!

Took same paper I wrote in her class and turned for a technical writing class. The prof from the technical class asked if he could publish it in the departments newsletter. Heintz gave it a D. She was beyond unfair. The tutors in the learning lab hate doing papers for her students. The papers are always graded poorly.

Do not take this class online, for the first month it was fine, thn it was like she fell of a cliff. went a whole month and a half without any kind of assignment. Doesnt respond to questions. Takes forever to get papers back if she grades them.has no interest for her online class.shouldnt b a teacher at all. sarcastic. very rude responses in emails

A terrible professor! Had a lot of help for my papers and still got terrible grades on them. I've always wanted to be a writer and this professor made me hate writing. Do not take her! She is absolutely awful!

She is very unclear about what she wants and if you ask her she will respond very rudely and refer you to the syllabus; which would be your question. She as is very RUDE on answering why you dont have you paper back and when she does FINALLY Grade them she leaves shory rude comments. This class is very fun! That is if you enjoy playing a guessing game with what she wants from you. Every assignment is a new challenge in trying to discover the requirements. But don't mess up! Any minor error will score you an automatic C. But, hey, that's part of the fun!

Very unorganized. Unclear instructions! Treats you like a child. If you don't open everything she post you can not open the next to complete an assignment...don't miss one because she will give you a 0 and will accept NO excuses! Would not recommend her to ANYONE

You can only get one of three grades in this class: an A if she likes you, a C if you try and an F if you don't. She encourages her students to debate her grades after the semester (what does that say?) but will ignore you if you try to set up an appointment. Some people simply should not be teachers, Heintz is certainly one of them.

Graded this class on a senior level English grading scale. Posted incorrect syllabus for 2 weeks before fixing. Comments on essays and assignments were very rude and of no help. Gave no direction on which to correct assignments to be to her satisfaction. Horrible professor!

This is the worst professor that I have ever had. The feedback given on assignments was always very sarcastic and rude. I took her class online and half the time she would not answer my emails. Only graded 2 assignments, her instructions were never clear, and even if you follow her feedback on papers it's still not right. Stay away!

Please do yourself a favor and do not take this professor. Our entire class spent the whole semester guessing at what she wanted because she is not clear. We could not post papers even though we could see the deadline was coming because the boxes were not open. She rarely graded anything we did and acted like it was our fault she fell behind.

I took her online class. She was very rude when I asked her questions about assignments. She would tell me to read the content, When I had. Very unclear when posting assignments. She tells you you can dispute your're grade if you're not happy, but she just ignores you. I've never once had trouble in an English class or with writing papers, yet I barely passed with her. Run.

I took her online and it was difficult. She was not too clear on things that she wanted and sometimes wanted you to know what she wanted. It was also hard to communicate with her because she wouldn't answer her e-mails. I tried to talk to her about my grade, but she was very rude. I became very stressed when it came to her class and assignments.

Omg, she is very rude. She gets mad if you are even 10 mins late for class, and she's also late to class her self. I will never take her class again. I hated taking her for a summer class. Condesending and rude! Uses old material and refuses to change the date citing the time it would take. Lazy! Never gives clear directions on assignments. Sent one E-mail asking for clarification, told her I read what she posted last, and instead got a rude response back, and no answer.

This professor was extremely unclear on what to do on assignments as well as when things were due. She didn't even tell us when to go to the campus for our final exams, I got lucky with that one. When asked a simple question, she would come back with a rude statement and not answer it. She's very rude, condescending, and unnecessarily critical.

Get ready for to upload your essay to Smarthinking. This professor's lectures are fun to listen to but she can ramble on and waste an entire class talking about nothing. I've gotten little to no help on my essays. Smarthinking is basically the only help you'll get from this professor and that isn't even from her! Look elsewhere for a professor

As stated by others, this course is definitely not easy. Professor Heintz is unclear on what is expected from each assignment. She is unavailable for meetings and will respond in an untimely matter. She will not post grades until the end of the semester leaving her students unsure on whether they will pass or not. Would NOT take her again.

She gives extremely vague instructions, and it is difficult to find directions or guidelines for assignments because of her lack of organization. If a student asks a question, she will have a rude response. She took 40 points off of my research paper because she didn't like my citations. I spent a week on it and had it checked by TWO tutors.

She doesn't help you when you asks questions when I did ask she always caught an attitude for no reason. I recommend anyone else besides her.

Heintz was a horrible professor when I was in her class. The entire semester we played a guessing game with her, trying to figure out what she wanted on assignments and when the assignments were due. It seemed like every other day the due dates on the drop boxes would change or they would never be open to begin with. She is also rude to students.

Very rude and condescending. She's not clear on anything and very unorganized. She Moves around due dates. Don't expect help because she constantly refers you to her posts that you come to her about because you don't understand. Don't take her class!

Most of class she spends talking about herself, they seem like exaggerations or made up. You're required to write a biographical, however she never talks about how to write the paper. When she grades it, the comments don't make sense and you get a low grade. She told me I did MLA wrong, I've done it for my other classes and got good grades.

Would never take this professor again. normally an A student, but received only 70, and 75's as grades for every assignment. Took a long time to respond to emails, and based assignments of her political beliefs. Truly unacceptable.

Her website in pal is sloppy and unorganized, very lazy in not updating it between semesters. It Takes her weeks to grade or comment on work (work that needs critique in order to complete your next assignment). It Takes her weeks to respond to emails. Probably one of the WORST teachers I've ever taken. Writing has always been one of my strong points. Her online structure and syllabus is so unclear it's ridiculous. She doesn't respond to emails. Takes a long time to grade your papers and give you feedback. Feedback isnt constructive, it's more rude.

The online class is extremely unorganized and hard to follow. I missed an assignment due to the unclear instructions. She has been rude to me in the few times she actually gives feedback. It takes her a long time to provide feedback for the assignments turned in. I am normally an A student but I will be lucky to pull off a C in this class.

I wish I had never signed up for this class. It is online and the professor does not give grades or feedback. Due dates change without notice. I've been waiting over 3 weeks for a grade and comments on a paper that needs rewrite after comments that are not received. Virtually impossible to navigate. Avoid this one. Take a different class.

Heintz is not a good professor. She has easy assignments and essays, but she is such a tough grader. You can try so hard on an essay and she will still find stuff wrong and give you an awful grade. Horrible

Professor Heintz is the worst professor I have taken. You're graded on your journal, two tests, and two papers (one is your final). She graded everything, except the tests, at the end of the semester. Her lectures consisted of her ranting and telling stories rather than discussing the material. Save yourself. Take a different professor.

Never again! Please stay away from this professor. Her feedbacks are not only harsh, but they also lack empathy or motivation. Submitting work and proposals early will get you nowhere as she takes forever to grade. Tone is very demeaning and her comments can be considered a bit racist. I ended up withdrawing, and got an A with another professor.

The format on her page is very confusing so often times I don't even know what is due and when it is due. Highly DO NOT recommend.

AWFUL! Takes forever to grade any work and then expects you to turn assignments in based off of the feedback she gives you on previous assignments. The only thing that is great about this class is that you don't have to buy a book. The professor would usually waste class time by talking about random subjects with other students. Albeit they were entertaining conversations, but if you are looking to learn something from this class, then tough luck. Do your self a favor and skip the hassle...

I had a really hard time with this class. I took online due to working full time and it was extremely hard. You have several papers to write and she has fine details she wants in all of them. Even though we had several papers to turn in, I have not received grades for all of them, even after the final. I'm still waiting for grades to be posted.

Worst professor I have ever ha at Polk State. I was constantly confused about deadlines and due dates and when I asked questions she would respond very negatively. Taking her class online is not a good idea at all. She is a very tough grader however it takes FOREVER for her to actually post grades.

Course outline does not exists, there is no schedule, there is nothing specifying when things are due. Professor comes in the first day and tells you that they arent well cared for, tend to offend, and are known for their inflammatory diatribes. If you dont like these sort of qualities in a professor, take her advice and drop her class immediately. Class work is easy, but doesnt stimulate growth and learning.

I love professor heintz as a person but as a professor she is absolutely AWFUL. She lacks in communication, her feedback is always very helpful and she missed half of our class. She also doesnt post your grades even after youve reminded her multiple times about it. She does gives lots of extra credit and the tests are pretty easy if you study.

She was not clear on direction when asked how to improve your writing. When she did give feedback and you changed what she said she still gave the same grade as before.

Prof. Heintz is terrible and has a questionable work ethnic. After never grading half of my assignments, she ignored my inquiries. When I brought it to the attention of the Dean, Heintz lied in all her responses. Not until I showed the Dean all the emails that proved her false claims, did she go back and grade my assignments.

I passed this class easily but Professor Heintz goes on tangents ALL THE TIME! Interesting class and not hard at all. Just do the homework and essays. Very helpful when it comes to not understanding something and you must write papers exactly as told, points taken off if not. Professor Heintz is not the best when it comes to emailing you back fast.

She is very , very bad at communicating with students. Not only does she take days to reach out to you for any reasons whatsoever, she takes DAYS to get back to you after you send her an email. She also grades very harshly for minor issues that I've never seen anyone get into trouble for. Please choose another professor. Seriously.

Would not take this class again. Had her for ENC 1102 online and her instructions, expectations, and deadlines were very unclear. Takes a long time to grade assignments and even answer emails sometimes. Required to watch a movie, write a synthesis, and summary, and the other main assignment was a 2.5k word research paper. Professor Henitz is a terrible professor. During class, she barley teaches and just complains about her life. She is also no help whatsoever and does not give any good or comprehensive feedback. She also is terrible at responding back to emails and messages in canvas. She is also a very tough grader. I learned absolutely nothing in this class.

She's awful with communication, she never responded to any emails i had about her class or assignments. I'm currently in the class right now and have no idea what my grade is. I think that's very irresponsible to expect her students to finish assignments she requires, but can't update grades for us. Most of her assignments are unclear.

Before the class even started she emailed me threatening to drop me if i didn't do a discussion within a few hours. I stopped getting assignments later in the semester so I emailed her and asked if she had dropped me. She never answered. She also didn't answer when i emailed multiple times asking about the paper that was due. Wouldn't recommend her

I took Prof Heintz as an online ENC1102 class over the summer. The class was only six weeks long, and the first three weeks consisted of ungraded diagnostic assignments. She did not give feedback on my papers that were given Cs. I ended up withdrawing because I had a D at the time. PLEASE save yourself the time and take another professor.

Professor Heintz is a terrible instructor and teacher. She will not give the benefit of the doubt however, she will with no problem give you a bad grade with no way of improving the grade or helpful feedback. If there was a rating of -5, thats the rating this Professor deserve.

She has many assignments that require feedback from the previous ones and multiple times she put the feedback in AFTER the due date for the assignment requiring it. If I could give this professor a lower grade, I would. It takes her months to submit grades and respond to emails. Criteria for assignments is very unclear and her Canvas course page is unorganized and confusing. She is demanding and disrespectful to students. The final research paper is a 2.5K word paper that she will knit pick to kill your grade.

Absolute worst teacher. Stay way! Grades harshly; don't expect to get higher than an 80 on your papers. Also very few graded assignments so one bad grade and it is impossible to bring it up.

Took forever to grade assignments, including ones that would require her feedback to finish. I got a 0 on an essay that was late because I needed her feedback on it before it could be turned in. I emailed her and never got a response so I dropped the class. She must take so long to grade because she puts so many demeaning insults in the feedback.

Professor Heintz told me I could finish the assignments I could not complete during a hurricane. After the hurricane and everything was back to normal, When I told her which assignments I needed to complete, she went ghost mode and I never heard from her again. It has been three weeks since she last posted anything online. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS!

She treats a 1000-level community college course as if it were a Graduate-level course. She is slow to return grades. As a result, her feedback, which is often condescending and unreasonably rude, is useless. She is a waste of time. If you love yourself, do NOT register with this professor. There is a reason her rating is so dismally low.

I took her course a year ago and genuinely spiraled because of it. I lost so much confidence and truly thought I was a horrible writer because of this professor. Did not give clear feedback, did not like to answer questions, and was extremely unapproachable. Attempted the same course with a different professor, learned so much, and did great.
