Great teacher. I heard a few bad things about her before I took her, but they were wrong. In 102 she is easy, helpful, and she is a little funny.

Very easy class! I wasn't sure about her at first, but she was very easy. If you do what you are supposed when you go in to take the final essay then you will pass this class. Very easy teacher. Love her!

She was very straight to the point and easy. Just go to class and listen. I never read the stories and made an A. She is very nice too. Fun and interesting class too!

I was a computer science major (class of '85), and avoided English at all costs. Ms. Hite totally changed my mind about the subject. She taught me not only the mechanics of writing, but instilled an appreciation and enjoyment. Of all the professors at SLU, she changed my life the most. It wasn't easy, but it was invaluable.

She is a great teacher, and she offers lots of help. She is there for you if you ask for help. Just show her that you are trying.

I hated English but after taking her she has helped me understand English better and i do not hate English as much. She may seem mean at first but as classes continue she is really pretty nice as long as you try.

She is by far my favorite teacher at SLU. She is very explanatory and is helpful in every way possible. You have to work for your grade, but you will definately enjoy the class and her teaching methods

she hates to repeat herself.she complains about how students dont show up for class. she lets class out early b/c no one looks like they really want to stay. i dont know how i receieved an A in her class. but she is hard. i think i received an A b/c i did well on the profiency exam b/c i know i didn't do 1 research paper. i didnt try but got lucky

I took her Spring 06. She makes you write papers but if you let her review them, you seriously have to be retarded not to make an A on them!

i took her for an all online Engl 232 class for summer and i cannot say enough good things about her!! she was very quick to respond to emails, very helpful, plenty of time for assignments, quick to grade assignments and tests. tests are an accurate assessment of knowledge... not too hard not too easy. highly recommended!!!!!

She is an awesome teacher! She explains everything in ways it is easy to understand and retain. I enjoyed her class. If you like British Literature, you'll love her class. Plus, she is pretty funny.

I got a B in her class. You do have to actually read the stories, and keep up with her. She is constantly reviewing in class, pay attention and you will do fine! She is a nice lady, I went away feeling like I learned something. She does make you write, don't be afriad.

Mrs.Hite is amazing! She seems a bit scary at first, but she's not so bad! She lets you revise every paper you do to get missed points back. She's not an easy A, but she can turn anyone into a fantastic writer! I'm def. taking her for ENG 232! (:

Hite is a great teacher! She allows revisions on all of your essays and helps you to improve. I got an A in her class and you better believe I worked for it, but it was totally worth it. I am a WAY BETTER writer now.

she is a bit scary at first, and comes off as being mean! but her class was fairly easy. You do have to read the stories and do some journals. there are opportunties for bonus, so take advantage of it. I would reccommend her, just takes notes and pay close attention and you should do fine. most stuff on the test is directly from thebook

Ms Hite was a very good teacher. I never read any of the stories... If you go to class and listen you will do fine. There is not much writing in comparison to other lit classes. She was really nice and I got a high B in her class.

I really liked Ms. Hite. I took her for English 232 over the internet and i loved it. She has a very strategic plan and its so easy to follow. I really recommend her.

At first Ms. Hite doesn't seem like she will be very nice or easy, but all you have to do is go to class and listen to everything she says and take notes, I have not read any story since the class began and I have made A's on her test! I would say take her it's not a hard class!

She is more than willing to meet if you need help. IF you just ask questions about the papers and topics she will put you in the right direction. If you turn in your rough drafts to her she will point out things you need to correct, and you can rewrite papers by the next class periods, which means fixing errors she points out to get more points.

I really enjoyed her class. It is very important to read all of the material. She wants you to really think about what the readings mean to you and express that in your responses. She does encourage creativity. I feel that she really cares about her students learning the material. I would definitely take her again.

I really enjoyed Ms. Hite's class. She id definitely willing to work with her students. I highly recommend this class for anyone who is willing to work and get a strong understanding of English.

Gosh I would love to take her again. Took her my Freshman year for the first honors english and loved it. Got by reading the sparknotes and shoomp summaries because she explains everything so well and covers the material with you. Likes ad libs and participation because the class is small. Tests are easy! Papers are good topics.

She is always available to help you and gives amazing feedback on papers. She even gives you the chance to re-write one if you aren't satisfied with your grade. The poems and short stories you read are simple and she grades really easily! But listen to her when she talks about the Works Cited page because she will deduct major points for that.

I would highly recommend her to anyone! As long go to class and participate in her process of doing a paper you are sure to get an A. She is willing to read and revise your paper before it is due! Very willing to help you if you try.

Her class is not that bad but is pretty boring. No tests, just 4 quizzes which means you fail one and you probably are already looking at a B. She can come off as prissy. She tends to pop off at the mouth if you ask one simple question for clarity. I got an A by simply listening to her lecture so I recommend attending every class.

Perfectly enjoyable professor, as long as you do what you're supposed to do. Show up to class, have assignments completed on time, and read what you're supposed to, and you'll do fine. She does not appreciate disrespect. To me, she's a bit intimidating but she gives good feedback on writing assignments and the class isn't particularly hard.

I took Ms. Hite for 121H and while she may have a bit of an attitude problem, she is a great professor. She grades SUPER easily. She even let us bring notes to help us write our final (in class) essay. Rough drafts were mandatory which helped and I struggled to stay awake in class but it was an easy A. I barely read anything and still passed.

I took this as a term class and loved it. She assigns 1 or 2 readings per week so you have time to actually think critically about each work on its own. You are required to participate in forums 2x's/week & to complete 4 journals (easy). The tests(3) are a breeze if you've read the work, notes, & her responses in the forums. I would take her again!

I took English 102 with her and she was great! If you show up on time and do what you're supposed to do, you will be fine. She is also very accessible outside of class whenever you need help.

It is very hard to fail her class. She helps you a lot on the your essays. She will even correct them completely before you turn them in. If you show that you care and make an effort then she'll like you and help you greatly.

I loved Ms. Hite, she didn't love me nearly as much as I loved her, but her class on ancient epics is really interesting and she is willing to work with you to improve your essays (she offers to proof-read them weeks before they're due). The hardest part was remembering how to spell peoples names for the book quizzes, but thats not hard. Take her!!

I love Ms. Hite! She's very understanding and helps when it comes to writing essays. She helps with proofreading and is a very supportive teacher. She doesn't shame you or give pop quizzes because she says its a waste of time. This class is very easy you just have 2 online quizzes, 2 test not including the final exam, and 3 essays.

I've had Mrs. Hite as an online professor two times now and I love her. As long as you keep up with the online work and submit everything on time, she's an easy A. I would definitely recommend her. I didn't need this class for my major, I took it for extra hours so I'm glad it was super easy.

Miss Rebecca Hite is an amazing professor. She helps you a lot for reviewing your papers before actual submission and lets you revise after as well. I would definitely take her again.

Ms. Hite is the best English professor at Southeastern and my favorite professor. She actually cares about us and our grades. We have to read books but she gives good explanation and gives notes and character list. She gives you multiple chances to revise your essays and proofreads then for you.. I would take her again and highly recommend her!

Mrs. Hite was an amazing teacher, I thought she hated me but she has a tough love type of class. She wont beat around the bush when it comes time to talking about your replies to forums. Just do your work and follow her instructions, you can't fail.

She expects you to work for your grade. I took this class over the summer and got an A, but I don't recommend taking over the summer! Your papers overlap due to time constraint, so you're finishing one and starting another. VERY quick with email responses. Ask good questions, work hard on your papers, and you will get an A in this class. Recommend!

She's really nice. She makes you work for your grade (fair enough), but she's not very clear on grading criteria, until you submit the first assignment of each category to see exactly what she wants. I would take ger online course again for a regular term, but not 8 week, because it's VERY fast-paced.

I took her for 3 classes (ENGL121, 122, 231). She is very sarcastic but knows what she's talking about and is very clear about what she wants. You have to read a lot and there are several journals/papers throughout the semester. She goes over the material in class so it's in your best interest to go. Don't bother being late - she WILL kick you out.

Mrs. Hite is a fantastic teacher. She actually teaches you how to write. That being said, you are expected to know how to write. Her class is by no means easy, but if you do your work, you will do fine. She knows her stuff and she is the best english teacher I have ever had.

I took her Greek Mythology class. She is very helpful and understanding, although she does not give second chances if you miss out on something. She is very sarcastic and straightforward, which is my type of person. It depends what you like, though.

As long as you come to class and do what she asks you to you'll be fine. She's always willing to help, can be a little insensitive at times but I've only ever seen it because people ask dumb questions, so just don't. We only had 2 essays not including the midterm and final. She's nitpicky with grading and points out small things.

Professor Hite is a tough grader. She is a stickler for grammar, which every English teacher is but she is a little more intense. Although she is tough if you put in effort then your grade will reflect that. The class includes forum posts, quizzes, and journals. The work is not hard just tedious. Overall, the class is manageable.
