Her lab classs seems to be pretty good so far. Very helpful. Explains how to do the lab even though the text tells you what to do. She's a very nice teacher though sometimes it seems like she tries too hard. Not too bad for a lab teacher.

She knows her material real weel! Kind of sounds like the girl from American Pie, the one from Band camp, when she talks. Give you material that is not needed on test, test are very difficult. She makes her test extremlly tricky, so be prepared to get confused! Overall if your good in bio take her but if not its is very hard to pass her test!

LOL band camp... it's actually true! anyway she's a great teacher, very nice and she loves to help when ever she can. tests are confusing, so be prepared to read the questions many times! she loves her subject and knows it well, take her, she's good!

She goes by the guidelines no matter what! You have to read alot and understand alot and half the things she covers are not on her test! Test are very tricky, it will take you the whole class to finsh! But she does know her stuff! Is very helpfull, but is a killer on the test!

I dunno what everyone's talking about. We had a great class average. At least 10 out of 22 ppl got an A in the class. Teaches so well and helps revise key concepts so thoroughly that the tests become quite easy. Tests are NOT TRICKY! just do her STUDY QUESTIONS. Highly recommend her for a summer class. Gives bonus points & allows notecard on tests

(Lab) Her class is easy-as long as you follow her guidelines yes-if you dont, then you will be screwed. She is a nice lady-but when there isnt enough time for work she gets very heated. COME TO CLASS!-she is one of the few professors who really does take points off. She is very clear and understanding-i do recommend

Very energetic! She uses PowerPoints which use graphics from the text and she posts them on-line. Follows the book very closely. Provides study questions for each section; tests come directly from these. Very helpful outside of class... She has study sessions prior to each test and constantly asks for questions during the lecture.

Tests are a little tricky but she allows a small notecard. She is a bit too crazy about biology. She tried to make our lecture exciting but also expected the class to get excited. She gave mini quizes on a daily basis. Wants everyone to do good & very willing to help anyone who asks!

If you can get past her annoying voice, hairy upper lip, and treating you like a kindergartener, you will be fine. Her policy is if you have to miss a major test for any excused reason, you cannot make it up. Sticks the rules very strictly. Daily bonus quizes, you have to be on time because she gives them out in the first 5 minutes.

Gives study guides so you know exactly what's on the test (you still have to study, but CAN get an A if you do) Sweet person, tells little stories, so obvious she likes what she does, puts aside her problems for full focus, which demands respect. this teacher is awsome!!! that the best teavher I have had so far at MC. O wish I can take another class with her. very helpful outside class, respectful, clear study guides and lab sheets, gives bonus points. you can easily get an A in the class as long as you study. I definitely recommendd her!

Amazing teacher... was clear with material and always allowed time for questions... Study questions are clear and cover all the material on the test..Test can be a bit hard but its called COLLEGE so it does requiring some studying Other then that funny personality although kind of quirky and childlike at times but just made class fun in the morning

i know personally that some teachers give study guides and dont follow them but this teacher is completely opposite. Follow it and you will get an A or B guaranteed

she is a nice prof . loves what she is doing. now in order to get a good grade you do not need the book , through it out of the window instead you need a tape recorder and a camera! . just take good notes study those and you will get good grade. also for lab i recommend all of you take pictures of what it is in lab then label and studyand get A

another thing i want to say about her is that unlike other prof she gets excited when she sees people are getting good grades. she will give you extra credit assignments too. by the way she loves fish!!!

A wonderful teacher. She is extremely enthusiastic about the subject matter and likes lecture to be fun! There are study guides for every test and she always draws the tests up from those study guides. She gives you the opportunity to earn extra credit and is always willing to help. Hint-participate during lecture.

BEST TEACHER EVER! Her lectures are well-organized, interesting, and fun. I actually miss going to that class now that it's over. Barely opened the textbook, notes in class were all you needed. Don't skip, she doesn't follow the book! Take 108 with her.

I loved this class, its not easy. Forget the exam reviews and only concentrate on the lectures. She is very kind and helping. Getting an A is easy if you dont have a stressful schedule.

best bio professor ever. she is very nice and will answer any question. just study the study guide she hand out during class and u will get a good score. she is the only professor that do lab test reviews, which are extremely helpful. Her tests and teaching style are better then Gina Wesley

She was by far the best science teacher I have ever had. I now love science. She is really clear, cares about her students, and makes the class really interesting and interactive. Gives a lot of homework but it isn't hard plus its really helpful in actually learning the material. If you make the effort you can definitely get an A in the class.

The greatest professor at Montgomery College. By Far! She loves her job more than anything and is one the best teachers i've ever had. She will stop lecture to answer ANY questions you have. The lecture exams are straight from the review sheets and she holds review sessions for the lab exams!

I never thought I would enjoy Biology as much as I do now because of her class. Lectures are very interesting. She is passionate about what she teaches and a great educator! In terms of her explanations during class she is very clear and ensures that everyone understands before moving on. However, she is a very tedious grader on exams thus wanting lots of details. The poster part is very stressful and takes a lot of time and patience. Ask lots of questions so that you have an idea of what you need to have on the poster

Prof Thomas always has your best interest at heart. She is hands down the best teacher I have had to MC, so enthusiastic, clear, and helpful. Gives you everything you need to succeed, it is not an easy class in general, but she makes it very possible to get a good grade. If you put in the effort you will do great, and come out a much better student

I loved the course material and the way she explains everything make it stick in your mind. You should record her voice and write down every single thing she says. That's the only key to success in this class. Her exams are a real challenge and only if you learn everything carefully you could get an A. Textbook is not necessary.

She drops your lowest lab exam. Definitely go to the extra lab sessions before each lab exam (it helps a lot). Her lectures are very informative yet not boring. Listen and take notes during the lectures. you really don't need the textbook. she posts her power points on blackboard after each class. Gives a few extra credits to the class.

I took this class over the summer, and despite the "crammed" workload, Professor Thomas was one of the best science professors I've ever had. Her tests are challenging, but as long as you can answer the study questions and connect the concepts together, i.e. not just memorize definitions, then you should be fine. Strict, but knowledgeable.

You need to attend every class but if you take good notes, she teaches in order exactly as things are on her study guide and uses class examples for test. She is an awesome professor. Before taking BIOL 105, I was skeptical and really nervous because I did not know what to expect. But she was extremely clear, thorough and helpful. Although she is really knowledgeable about her stuff she understands that most students struggle with the concepts so she is patient and answers literally every question.

If you are willing to participate and engage in discussions it can be a lot of fun. Bio is easy me, but if it isn't your strong area review with the book. Not much HW, but it MUST be turned in at the start of class (late penalty)

professor Thomas gave me hope! I got a C in my last bio class but I ended up with an A on BIO 151, she explains everything thoroughly and makes sure you understood. Always happy to meet after class or during office hours and willing to help you with any problem you have. But you have to study, not an easy A, which is good if you're a BIO major.

You will learn in her class and it's not a show up and pass class, you do have to work but it's not hard. She truly cares about you and the class and she will go out of her way to help you. Enjoyed her for lecture but hated her grading style. So many points off for short answer questions b/c what I wrote wasn't EXACTLY what she was looking for. On tests, there are questions with more than one right answer where if you choose one not right, you get no credit. If you correctly choose, for example 2 out of 3 choices, you get partial.

Professor Thomas is my most favorite professor by far! The grading is kinda tough but it definitely teaches you to be more thorough with short responses and better prepared for future classes. Her lectures/labs are very fascinating and I enjoyed our class discussions. It also helps that she brings so much energy and excitement to class everyday.!
