Great teacher. She gives extra credit and works with the students to make sure they understand and get a good grade. Everything is on power point. She reviews everything clearly thats going to be on exams. We even played jeopardy for review. Excellent teacher.

She's great! During the first week of class I was kinda worried about her test being too hard since there were 5 sections including a word puzzle, but she provides a word bank which makes it very easy. Her test are not difficult at all as long as you study the slides. She even lets students do test correction. I would definitely recommend her.

AWESOME TEACHER!! She is the best BIO 130 teacher in all of suffolk. She is very nice and very helpful with the material. She makes sure all students understands the notes before moving on. Only teacher that does review before test, which prepares you for her very fair exams. She is a very smart lady and knows her stuff. I would reccomend her 100%.

I highly recommend Dr. Pearson. She takes time to explain the material thoroughly and allows for test corrections, which can add up to 10 points to your exam. She wants her students to do well, and although the material is difficult, she does everything possibly to prepare you to do well. The rest is up to you!

Dr. Pearson was by far my favorite teacher. Pay attention. Things she repeats over and over are exact questions from the tests. She prepares you well and dedicates an entire class for review before each test. She.follows chris pickens notes so his lecture animations and lab histology is extremely helpful, as well as, his.practice tests

Dr. Pearson is GREAT! She basis her class and lecture from the slides she provides. She makes the class easy to pass and possible to even get an "A". Her homework and extra credit make it near impossible to fail. It's like she gives every possible way to help you succeed. Do the homework, study the slides before the exams and you will be fine.

There are many things to admire about this professor. I think that one of the biggest, however, is her vast knowledge for the human body. She has a very esteemed degree and it is clear that she spreads this knowledge to her students. Her expectations are realistic yet challenging to an extent. Not impossible to get an A. Overall- a great professor.

Took AP 1&2 with her. Both A's. Study the PP's ritually and get an A - Don't and FAIL. Not an easy class. No book required!4 points extra credit each test. Multiple choice Lecture ! - Fill in the Blank Lab, better study.

Best professor at suffolk that I've had so far. Have learned sooo much about anatomy and physiology. I feel much more confident with biology thanks to this professor. She needs to be considered for a full time position at SCCC. Thanks Professor Pearson for 2 great semesters of A&P!!

I really loved this class! It's obvious that she loves to teach it. She's very smart and helpful and the lectures are clear (and bearable she's pretty funny). The tests are hard, but you just have to put in the time and work! Highly recommend!

My Favorite! She's funny and smart and makes the material easy to follow, with charts&color coded slides. Study the slides and you will do well. I never found her to be rude at all. However, she doesnt like when people text during lectures, and will call you out on it. Other than that shes very personable and will help you with any questions.

I really liked this class. She's smart and a great teacher. You do have to read instructions and follow formatting guidelines for assignments and it did take a lot of my time studying but she made hard material easy to grasp for me. I wish I could take other classes with her!!

I have taken A&P2 at a large university with an extremely unhelpful professor but let me say this professor taught me so much more then I ever learned at my other university. She is approachable, helpful, and overall an awesome professor. I have learned so much from this class and am grateful I signed up for this with her!!

It was a pleasure to have Prof. Pearson as my Bio 132 professor. Bio 130 was a struggle but Prof. Pearson made bio 132 a breeze! Her notes and lecture slides are so detailed and easily explained that I didn't open the textbook, even once, the entire semester. She does an amazing job and I would take her again in a heartbeat!

I took Professor Pearson for A&P2 over the summer which is an intense A&P2 course. Great teacher, always offers to help. She gives a lot of opportunity to fix your tests and gives a good amount of extra credit. I would take her class over in a heart beat. If you put in the work and study time there is no way you can't get an A in her course.

Best A&P prof. There is a lot of information covered during each lecture, but she makes it easy to remember and will review things if needed. Test are not difficult if you review all the lecture notes. No lab reports. Very organized and caring, she is always willing to help. If you want to pass, take her .

Amazing professor. Took a summer course so she didn't make us buy the textbook. If you studied her powerpoint slides you did well. Gives extra credit work in both lecture and lab. Very accommodating, if you had to miss a test, she would schedule you another time with no problem. Hands down awesome teacher, would definitely take her again.

I wont lie, I cried a lot during this semester. The material is not easy BUT that being said, she is the best professor i've ever had. She is amazing, approachable and so helpful. An amazing professor! She made one of the more tougher classes to take, A&P2 so much better! She is easy to understand, makes jokes and uses memes which I LOVED, and has extra credit where you make notecards regarding material that will be on the tests. Dr. Pearson is very knowledgable. This is a hard class, so expect to study daily. Her tests are extremely hard. If you don't work full time/have school full time, take her because she's great, you learn a lot, and she truly does care about you. Do not take her if you can't put in AT LEAST 20 hours of work each week. Gives some extra credit.

Very fast with responding to her emails, lectures are not long, you just have to take notes, pay attention and DO NOT SLACK OFF. Things are graded weekly, she will repeat things, offers extra credit. Only thing is that a lecture will be done by Tues and she will have the exam on Thurs. Not enough time to study in my opinion - FINAL IS CUMULATIVE.

Was put in her class last minute & there was no regrets. Not sure if she has done this with her previous classes but since we were a small class she gave us test correction to do. Which was a true blessing! As long as you listen and attend every class you'll do great. I do recommend studying the PowerPoints because they are a big help on the test!

I would HIGHLY recommend Professor Pearson for anatomy! although the work is hard and you do have to put in effort on your own time as well she is a really good teach and explains everything , nothing is a surprise in this class as long as you study the material.

The class was blended with an online lecture component and in-person lab. Labs were mandatory, and when they ended she always made time to answer questions. She's frequently available as she teaches various classes, but email her first. Do all of the pre-labs. Ask her for help and clarification if needed.She gives extra credit opportunities. Do it.

Ok so if you want an A, you have to put in effort to study. She was well organized and straight forward. Gave extra credit. You cant slack and expect to pass. Dont know where all the negative reviews are coming from because she genuinely knows what she is doing. Her online review jeopardy is great for the test.

Professor Pearson is great. She tells you exactly what she expects of you and there are no surprises. Her tests are very fair and do not try to trick you. If someone doesn't understand something, she is happy to stop and explain it while also drawing pictures and charts on the blackboard, which was extremely helpful. I highly recommend her.

I took A&P 2 in the summer with Prof. Pearson she tests right from her power points, gives out review sheets for lab practicals and practice exams for lecture. She offers bonus questions on exams and a big extra credit opportunity at the end of the course. 10/10 highly recommend this professor and wish there were more like her!

Prof. Pearson is the best one could wish for A&P2. The grade isn't handed out u have to earn it. Material is straight forward though. The test is based on the slides/notes. Study the slides and notes well and you will do well. Prof. takes time to write out the hardest stuff on the board in the very manageable and easy to remember format or diagram

Took the 6 week summer course and of course it was intense just like any other A&P 2! she gives extra credit, no curves on exams. This is not a class for the week so get ready to do a lot of studying. Very easy to fall behind. She only required the lab textbook which she wrote but it's very straight. REPETITION REPETITION REPETITION.

Dr. Pearson was very sweet and really cared about her students. She's very knowledgable and passionate about what she teaches and always tries to simplify hard concepts. At the end of the course she gives a 16 page packet that adds 2 points to your average upon completion. She offers a lot extra credit and really wants to see her students succeed.

Took her BIO-132 course in fall 2025. Dr. Pearson is a great professor. She is very understanding and makes sure that you truly understand the material. She prepares you well for upcoming exams and lab practicals. BIO-132 is a hard class, but if you are willing to put in the time and effort to study, you will pass. I highly recommend her!
