She was an alrith teacher, she focused way to much on outcomes and oblectives, she was looking for a new job in the process of teaching us... so what does that tell you about how much she likes to teach?

Very nice and helpful. quizes every week and is very helpful not a lot of homework so no excuse to do bad.

Mrs. Pierce is a very knowledgable instructor despite the negative feedback from others. She does however, have to remember that she's dealing with adults and not high school students. Even though some students acted as if they were in high school. She offered as much help as was needed to help students understand the material.

Mrs. Pierce is a very nice person and she tries really hard to make sure you learn the material, and genuinly cares. The class is hard, but it would be no matter what teacher you take

Mrs. Pierce did many hours of excellent work to prepare for this class when she was put in at the last minute. Very helpful and knowledgable.

I read these ratings and i have to laugh. First of all your college students and you write like first graders. Also the part about discriminating if you don't have an A or B is a joke. You get out of any class what you put in to it. This teacher made you think and that is what you should be doing, not having a grade handed to you.

Mrs. Pierce is a very kind hearded teacher. She listens to her students and loves teaching. She loves interacting with students on a one on one bases with the bones, and muscle skeletons. She does give you one on one attention if you need it. She is AWESOME!!!!!! Every quiz and test she has you get the chance for EXTRA CREDIT!!! That helps a ton

She was extremely helpful throughout the semester by making notes, cheat sheets, and flow charts. Not that many people liked her, but she wants to help you pass the class.

For the most part she was very helpful when it came to explaining things more clearly.

This is a tough class but Mrs. Pierce is a great teacher. She will explain things until you get it as long as you ask. TIP: read the material prior to class, she then reviews notes she prepares for you (very helpful and most info is on quizes/tests). She goes quickly so reading ahead will help you get A's, if you dont, you will be lost!

Mrs. Pierce is very nice and very helpful. I was a little worried about this class but she takes things at a fairly slow pace. She has a lot of hands on activities that help you learn. She also drops your two lowest quizzes. Just do the assignments and ask questions if you have them. Also make friends in the class that you can study with.

Mrs. pierce is really nice. She is a little goofy at times but it keeps class from getting too intense. Tests and quizzes are fairly easy if you study for them. Take her for sure...she is very helpful!!

Wonderful teacher, very caring and understanding. Helps before and after class, and never makes you feel stupid. She is very good at making sure you understand the material, and although the class is fast paced she makes it bearable. Take her!!!

Mrs.Pierce was one of the best teachers that I have ever had. She does go through the material fast. However, there is a lot of material to cover. If you actually do the homework and study like a grownup, you will do just fine. She will also help you if you are having problems. If you do not do well in this class, I would say that you are lazy.

I had her for a spring class and she was the best biology teacher i have ever had. She helped whenever you needed it. She was extremely organized. She used every technique of teaching to fit everyones learning style. I would recommend her 100%!

Pleasant teacher and very helpful. However, she crams so much homework on a student that all you ever find yourself doing is homework. Absolutely no time to study and absorb the material. I am currently taking her class Winter Semester 2010. Highly recommended if you don't have a full time job!!!!!

She is very hard. she gives you the material to study for one day then a quiz. The practicals are so hard she adds stuff to it and if she thinks the answer is missing something she gives you a 1/4 OF A GRADE why? just give the full grade.. don't take her if you have a full time job or life.

Mrs. Pierce is an amazing teacher. not to say you dont have to work in her class but she keeps things interesting & acknowleges every students input and queries.I was scared of taking this class cuz im not scientifically inclined, but she put me at ease and was extremely approachable and encouraging. Its college not a cakewalk.

mrs. pierce is a very nice person but the class is challenging for those that may have children, a full time job, and other hard classes. spare time was spent studying. overall i would recommend mrs. pierce to someone who has alot of time to put into the class. very nice and approachable woman. tried to accomadate everyone's learning style.

I absolutely loved this class. I had looked on rate my professor before the semester and was really nervous because there were some bad reviews, but Mrs. P is an amazing teacher. She really cares about her students and will try and accommodate to you if you are having problems. She really makes the material easy to understand.

I enjoyed this class.She was a very nice teacher and truly cared about her students. The class was a lot of work but as long as you did it the test were easier. Went out of her way to help students,offered a lot of makeups and extra points. As long as you show her respect she would respect you. Handed back things fairly quick. I would recommend her

she was very nice, clearly cares about her students and wants everyone to pass, some background in bio/chem strongly needed, this class is not easy, at times it stalled as needed for some to understand material, it also moved very fast, this class is a lot of work and you get out of it what you put in

Great teacher who is easy to interact with. She really cares about her students and even came in on a day off to help students study for an exam. The class is hard if you don't study and stay on top of the material. I put in an average amount of effort and came out with an A-.

She is very nice, and tries to help. The problem is shes really unorganized. We got behind in the class so she made us learn a whole section by ourselves outside of class. Some of the activities you do to help learn are childish and she does them before the lecture which is what put us behind. Also working full time with this class is difficult.

Becky took over my class when our teacher left. She was there for the students and stayed after class for two hours to help me study for an exam. All of the work she gives you is helpful for tests.

Yes she is a little unorganized, kind of a hot mess at times, but will come before practicals to help you study, will email you back help on assignments rather quickly, don't buy the textbook unless you want it for your own personal preference to study. Started off hating her ended up loving her, great teacher.

Excellent instructor, spent her own time helping us study, has fill-in lecture notes to help you out, expectations very clear, wants you to learn, is available outside of class, tests are tough but fair, uses activities and assignments to help you understand the material, has a good sense of humor too. would definitely take her class again

Mrs. Pierce is such a good teacher. Shes a little tough to understand with what she wants to be done, but if you ask her she's more than willing to talk with you. She takes time out of her day if you need it to study. Do the homework, study, and always ask her for help (shes more than willing).

Rebecca is a great teacher! She goes out of her way to help you in any way she can. She comes early and will stay late to help. She assigns homework, its not mandatory but its basically whats on the quizzes and tests so it helps. She can be a little unorganized sometimes but she makes it work. She really cares if you pass or not.

Mrs. Pierce is a phenomenal teacher! The criteria is tough, but she uses a variety of teaching methods to make sure you learn the material. She will spend her own time, coming in early/staying late if students need help, because she genuinely cares if her students pass. I would recommend her to a friend!!

This is not an easy class there is a lot to learn in a semester. So it does become fast paced and you must put in the hours to get the grade you want. She is a good teacher always willing to help and offers extra credit.

Not sure why there are negative rates about Rebecca because she's the best bio teacher I've ever had. She teaches hard classes so your grade is up to you. She gives great feedback, cares about her students, and gives lots of extra help and extra credit, drops 3 lowest quizzes, etc. Highly recommend her for bio!

Great teacher. She makes the material easy to understand and classes fun. You can tell she really enjoys teaching. I wish she was available for BIO 153.

This has honestly been my favorite class at delta. She uses every kind of teaching method to be sure you understand the content. Grades very fair and is incredibly helpful. If you pay attention and do the small amount of homework the class is very interesting and she is a very amazing instructor and an all around awesome person!

She's a really great prof. Overall it's a time consuming class. But if you put in the work you'll do fine. She gives you homework for extra points and she's always helpful. She helps in the study room a lot before tests and practicals. She really cares and wants students to get good grades. I would take her again in a heartbeat.

Loved taking this class! Super easy if you study and know the material. Becky always answered any questions we had and took time to review things before the test. I would totally take her again!!

Great teacher

Lots of tests, but Becky is there to help when needed either outside of class or after class. You have to put in the effort to get the grade you want, but she does give extra credit and grades attendance.

Amazing teacher for a difficult class. She cares about your success. Shes a little all over the place so stay organized. Your grace is 100% test and quizzes. You can you homework on quizzes. Highly recommend her.

She was a nice & tried to help outside of class. Many times she would make statements that seemed to contradict herself &some of her test points didnt make sense going back over them (how she graded essay questions or came up with the points) Overall she was a decent teacher & tried to clarify info. If she was more organized she would be fantastic

Any anatomy class is going to have a heavy workload and be difficult. Professor Pierce gave lots of hands on opportunities to learn and was in the study room to help whenever possible. She wants to see her students succeed and her tests are very reasonable if you put the studying effort in. She also jokes around a lot and I highly recommend her.

One of the nicest teachers I have had. She wants to see everyone pass her class and you can tell. That doesn't mean she goes easy on you, but she is willing to do whatever she can to help you out.

Despite the class being difficult, she tries her best to make it interesting. Rebecca Pierce really cares about her students and will do anything to help you pass. She is almost always available to help you study and improve. Attendance was not mandatory, but you will miss a lot of information if you do. Overall, I loved this class.

She is very sweet and wants you to do good. It is a lot of work but she is willing to help you with any questions you have! She is one of the best professors I have ever had, and I couldn't imagine taking this class with a different professor.

The amount of help Rebecca Pierce is willing to give to students who are TRYING their best is amazing. I missed the second day due to my childhood dog passing, and she was very understanding. Her office hours were basically study group, HIGHLY SUGGESTED! She is slightly unorganized and sometimes gets off track, but overall one of my favorite profs.

Anatomy and physiology is simply a hard class no matter what professor you have. Becky was nice and very knowledgeable, but topics seemed to be very rushed and we would move on to the next subject before anyone had the chance to take in what we just learned. Very test and quiz heavy. If you go to the study room before class, she'll usually be there

This is a very tough class, and you have to go to class in order to get a good grade. She really cares that you learn. If you ask for her help, she will come early to class, stay after class, and make extra time for you. She has a tone of resources for you to learn but you have to put in the effort.

This class is fast-paced but not impossible. She is a kind teacher who always offers help to all of her students. Like every anatomy class, this requires outside learning and memorizing to be successful, so take advantage of online material such as the quizlets, practice tests, assignments and quizzes. I learned a lot from this class.

Mrs. Pierce was one of my favorite professors! I learned a lot in her class as she always explained her lectures with lots of extra examples. I was sick for 2 weeks and although it was tough for me to catch up, because I had emailed her and told her of my illness, she zoom recorded every class so that I could still follow along.

Prof. Pierce's section of BIO140 is the best class I could've chosen! She works hard to make sure students understand the material and gives helpful examples and ways to remember all the things we need to learn and memorize. Review quizzes, tests, and lab practicals pretty often, but she offers plenty of study material for students to be successful

Mrs. Pierce was extremely kind, was willing to help with many extra student hours. But her course is intense and if you have life outside of school with kids, work or even a full-time school schedule it's very hard to keep up. Make sure you really have 15 to 20 hours a week to study consistently to keep up.

This class was difficult in terms of having to spend a lot of time studying and class periods are long. However, she is very organized, gives you everything you need to pass, she is very lenient, and you can tell how much she loves her job. I wouldn't recommend if you are looking for an easy bio class, but it is very informational and enjoyable.
