Great teacher very helpful. Knows her subject VERY well,
Really knows the subject! Extremely helpful. Wants the students to do well. Anatomy is a hard subject and YOU DO have to study ALOT but if need extra help understanding the material she will work with you until you get it. Great teacher. Highly recommened.
Really great professor. Hard class. Highly recommend.
No other prof I have had cares so much about her student's success. The class is hard because of the material, but Prof Rebhorn literally tells you exactly what you need to do to do well in the first week. It's your own fault if you don't do as well. She not only taught me A&P, she taught me study skills and how to respect the subject.
My only wish is that I could clone her to teach all of my labs!
wow..do NOT take her..she's extremely hard and half our class either dropped or failed!!!! too much to learn and she rambles...if you take her class be ready to go above and beyond and still not get anywhere..her tests make no sense and are horrid!!
Rebhorn rocks it. Haters who complain about her being hard or there being too much material don't get it - no wonder they failed or dropped out! Ha! They couldn't hack a class where you actually have to do some work to learn. Her tests are only hard if you don't know the material. She tells you what to do to get a good grade, so if you fail...
This prof knows what she is talking about. She looks really young, but has like 3 kids and has somehow managed to cram more information into her brain than you find in the text. Smartest prof I have ever taken.
Professor Rebhorn is really smart sometimes hard to comprehend. She's on another level but very patient with those trying to get there. You will earn every point you make in her class. You will work hard. If you want a easy A don't take her but if you want to learn - take her. She's fair and very helpful but you must put forth effort-alot!!
Also, if you are taking this class to advance into nursing, paramedic, radiology etc. her class if just the tip of the iceberg. Her class is hard and this is what you can expect in those programs so if you want to see how intense it will be and be prepared take her. If you can make it through this class you will be able to suceed in a med program.
This the most amazing teacher I have taken She has such patience I haven't seen in a Professor in years. She is willing to help you succeed in her class she'll even help you go over your notes to make sure you understand the material. She a must for A&P! I would take her again in a heart beat! Very kind. Teaches class very well.
I can't say enough good things about Professor Rebhorn. Not only is she an extremely intelligent & capable prof, she also has a coherent, humorous, & engaging style of lecturing. And that's something you don't often find in the sciences! She makes tough material approachable. I look forward to taking her again soon and highly recommend to others.
I don't generally post to this site, but I feel obligated to give Rebecca props. On the first day of class she will probably warn you that you will need to study a lot...IT'S TRUE!!! I squeaked out an A, but I put in a lot effort, and attended every lecture and lab. You will never find an easy A&P teacher, stop looking and sign up for her class!
I truely enjoy her. I had her for A&P, but then i had to retake A&P, now i'm in Human Anatomy and I've been super lucky to get her 3 times in a row. She's great and she's like your best friend, loves to teach A&P + H. Anatomy, is always trying to help her students, allows you to audio / video record w/ permission. Gives you the notes already!
Rebecca is my all time favorite prof at ACC. She is incredibly knowledgable and helpful and explains complex ideas using real world applications. She's not easy, but is 100% able and willing to assist students with questions. She's extremely flexible and nice and smart as hell. If you don't take Rebecca for this class, you are cray cray.
The best teacher ever for A&P I. She is an Awesome professor, always there to help you in whatever you need, give lots of extra credit for showing up in class. I highly recommend her if you want to learn A&P in a very good environment class.
She is Awesome! I do not always post but for Ms Rebhorn I am going to do so...Take her, you will be pleased you did. Very humble and yet very generous and so cool tempered, never makes you feel stupid. Amazing woman. Will go out of her way to make sure you pass. Not an easy class by any means. She is impeccable with her word, she walks the talk
Professor Rebhorn is excellent! She is a great lecturer and classes are always enjoyable. She is young and has a sense of humor which is nice. I told all my friends to take her for Anatomy, Physiology, and A&P. The material is difficult and you still have to study but she's as good as it gets for this material. Take her :) You won't regret it.
She is extremely smart. Pretty much very helpful. She graded the test the same day and posted them up on black board. Her exams where a bit tough but if you studied the essays questions and the your notes that she already makes for you. YOu can pass her class. Its a tough course but shes the best at helping you get through it.
Rebecca is an awesome teacher!!! She is very helpful, and her lectures are very informative. Attending class with her is important. Hard material but she does pretty much anything to help you get it!
Rebecca's a super smart prof. She also extremely helpful w her clear material, and tests, very good review (she always gives us review 2w-ends before each exam). Her tests are kinda hard, not much extra credits. The first test may make you shock, but after that she guides you an efficient method to reach an A if you work hard. Strongly recommend!
Rebecca is amazing! She is very smart and I love having her as my professor. I will warn you that she isn't super easy. The material is hard but she is supportive, encourging, and teaches her students how to perservere. Rebecca is my favorite acc prof. Take her class!!!
Rebecca is Awesome, Helpful, & Really Smart. Just loved her!! It's a Hard Class and Studying will consume lots of your time so be prepared. Word of Advice-DO NOT PROCRASTINATE. Study all material she gives you plus info on BB. Test are challenging, but consist of her lectures and study material. Have a Great Semester!!
I often got lost in lectures but Rebecca is patient/wonderful about staying after class to explain things 1-on-1. Once she explained something to me 3x; I felt like a total fool but she didn't show any frustration--just kept looking for other ways to help me. Know/understand the essay questions inside/out and you're almost guaranteed at least a B!
Can't say enough good things about this woman. Physiology was perhaps the most difficult class I have taken, can't lie about that. BUT if you want a competent, organized, TEACHER, someone who can explain difficult concepts inside out, who is both patient and genuinely cares about students...she's your gal. Best professor I've ever had, including UT
Great professor. The most helpful and willing to work with students I have ever had. She was always willing to go the extra mile for students. She seems harsh at first but once she gets to know the class she warms up. Extremely knowledgeable, You will leave this class knowing your stuff and ready for the next step. highly recommend this prof!!
Quite possibly the best teacher I've ever had. The material she provides for the chapters is very well organized so it is very easy to study and remember easily. She makes the class interesting, is very knowledgeable in this field and any questions you have, she will gladly answer and work with you. Nothing but good things to say about her.
Very intense, stay on top of your studies and don't fall behind. She's fair fun to listen to and always willing to help. HOWEVER the course alone does not allow for an easy grade, be prepared to put the work in.
This class was tougher than I thought it would be. She was very helpful and very patient with me. She gives you everything you need with powerpoints and essay questions. You do need to take the time and study for her test which can be difficult. Record her lectures if you can. Ask for help, she will help you if you ask for it.
She was awesome! Very willing to work with you and laid back, If you fail the class its because you didn't put forth the effort.
One word: AWESOME. By far the best teacher I have EVER had. Shes super helpful and willing to work with you. Be prepared to study a lot but she provides everything you will need for the test and is very clear about what you should/should not study. Sign up for her class you will not regret it!
She was such an awesome teacher she really knows her stuff. And she really wants to make all her students succeed I highly recommend her I got an A in her class but you really have to study hard study the essays that pretty much covers all the info you need to know don't get behind in her class its hard to catch up!!!!
Definitely one, if not the hardest class I have ever taken, but she made it okay. Rebecca is the greatest professor I have ever had. She is so smart. She doesn't need to look at her notes, she knows everything off the top of her head. So helpful, and funny as hell. She really wants her students to succeed. Would definitely take her again.
Had her for a 6 wk summer session of human anatomy. Info was fast and furious but she made it manageable. You can feel confident in choosing her as a prof.
Awesome
Took the summer 5.5 week Anatomy class. 5 days a week, 3 hours a day in class. Be ready for this class. Be ready to spend 2-3 hours a day, yes a day studying if you want an A or even a B. That being said, Rebecca is amazing. She will do all she can to help you. She is strict but funny and knows the material like no other prof!
I absolutely loved Rebecca! She gives you everything you need to pass the test. You just have to study, study, study! If you dont dedicate some study time to the essays and systems, you will not pass! I studied my butt off and got an A! 5 test in lecture, and 5 practicals. Take her and you wont regret it! Definitely taking her for Physiology!!
Can't say enough good things about Rebecca. She is an amazing instructor. She is not easy by any means so you MUST study. But if you put in the work, you'll get an A. If your unsure on something, go in during office hours and ASK. She makes class fun and super funny. I really enjoyed coming to class everyday, I actually kind of miss it because her
Rebecca is amazing she is very helpful she is always there for her students and really wants all her students to succeed in her class! She hands out very detailed reviews for the test so if you know what's on the review you will A the exams! I took her for both Anatomy and Phys and made As in both classes! Just study ur but off an you will do fine
I had Rebecca for Anat and Phys, & glad that I did! Physiolgoy is not easy by any means! You have to put over 10 hours a week to study and make sure you know the material! She gives you everything you need to pass her test! I got a B in the class and I worked my butt off! 5 test, 10 quizzes, 10 assignments; lots of info to work with!! Good Luck
I took Rebecca for both Anatomy and Physiology. There was a LOT to cover, and many hours required to study, but she made the material very clear, gives PPT notes, study aides, the works. She has a great sense of humor and a laid back attitude, which made class fun. She is kind and helpful beyond expectations, she really wants you to succeed.
Nice lady, but this class is brutal and she doesn't care to make it easier on you. Her grading style is VERY detail oriented. There are no extra credit opportunities or relief-10 tests and TONS of material. You will work your butt off. She could do alot more to help students but won't, simply brushes it off and says it has to be but it doesn't.
Lots of material to study. I made a B and study more than I usually do to get that. Get ready to study 1-2 hrs a day. Record her lectures and go to Professor Fink's youtube for help with the sections. I should have done that to start. Study after each lecture and you will be ok, if you don't you won't make it through her class. You will learn thou
I hated her class and I didn't care for her as a professor at all. She is unwilling to help, her tests are ridiculously hard and there are better teachers out there. Would not take again and doesn't give you any HW or extra credit to buffer test grades. Labs tests are brutal and she doesn't help in lab. Stay far away from her... I wish I had.
BEST PROFESSOR EVER! She is clear, easy to understand and wants her students to succeed. Anatomy is hard, be prepared to work. That being said, Rebecca made a difficult class fun and interesting. Definitely taking her for physiology.
Rebecca helped at every opportunity. She gave incentives to do study groups which is what made my grade. Don't bother with a book. The class is not easy but she tries really hard to make it understandable. Optional coursework on her page help to study and some even show up on her test! Strongly recommend her to anybody who's required to take phys.
What can I say that hasn't been said? She's great, usually first to get waitlists for her section. Do homework before class to reap the most rewards from lectures. She'll make time for everyone, and is devoted to the success of the students. She clearly has no idea how amazing she is. This doesn't mean it's not hard - study+attend lecture, or fail.
Incredible teacher. She breaks down pages and pages of notes into diagrams. If you are a visual learner take her because she is awesome at explaining and simplifying complex information. Study & you will get a B but more than likely an A. Save yourself the money and buy the previous edition book , not used much except for online quizzes.
This class by itself is very difficult but she draws pictures and charts to help you understand visually some of the main points in the lectures. Test are made by the department so it's a real good mix of the information. She will do her best to give you pointers on how to study, she was a surgeon so she knows her stuff. Record the lec. it helps.
Rebecca gives you the material you need, clarifies it and tests you on it, there is no surprises, if you study it and understand it it is an easy A. Study!
Rebecca is very clear, do your lectures, attend lectures, make flash cards, take at home quizzes and HW and you will get an A. She understands things come up and is willing to let you turn in things late or redo then if missed.
Professor Rebhorn is super easy going. I took human physiology with her, she made such an intense course a breeze! You do have to study for the tests but like everyone else already said: prepare before class, attend lectures, take notes, flash cards, study A
Excellent professor! She gives phenomenal lectures that keep you on your toes. Very funny and is there for you. She definitely knows her material content and provides a friendly environment. If you have any questions, go to her office hours, she is more than happy to answer any questions and wants you to pass. Would take again.
Straight forward class. Do the work and study where necessary. This class shouldn't be a major problem.
Rebecca is a nice professor and gives notes to study to do well on exams. For me, the class itself is difficult, but she helped me a lot to give some tips how to do well on exams.
Professor Rebhorn is straightforward about what's required in order to succeed in her class and genuinely cares about her students. She makes sure to review topics throughly that will pop up on the exam which was very helpful. I would definitely recommend her.
I was so scared to take this class bc I needed it to get into my health program, but Rebecca was the best ACC prof I have ever chosen!!!!! I will say you do NOT need to buy the masteringaandp online book, I rarely used it. There's plenty of extra credit. Show up and make sure u understand and it is an easy A. She's AMAZING. CHOOSE HER
If you don't like to read textbooks don't take this class. She provides the notes but she gives such a thorough lecture you'd need to read the book also. Other than that she's nice, funny. No homework other than notes. Does extra Credit, and attendance is mandatory. She makes you work hard for that A
She makes sure to explain everything really well and really funny. Attendance is mandatory and she overall is pretty approachable. She's clear in the syllabus about what to do. Does no extra credit.
This class was pretty easy. Final grade came from 6 lecture tests (1 drop), 10 hws (1 drop), 5 lab quizzes (online, open note), and 4 lab tests. Lecture tests were 1/2 mc, a few short answer/fill in the blank, and 2-4 essays. All essays answers were given in class so just need to memorize them to get full credit. Lots of extra credit/free points
She's the best professor I've EVER HAD! Approachable, knowledgeable, challenging... Pretty much if you're looking to actually learn and enjoy a course, she's the professor to take! Her lectures are excellent and she's funny and charismatic. If you have the chance, please take her! You'll be challenged, but trust me that it's worth it...
Good class and interesting lectures. Professor is funny and very kind. Online homework and mass of lecture/lab tests made things a little difficult at times, but don't hesitate to email her if something goes wrong with the online system she'll understand. Overall, not a bad course for the mass of content! Would recommend.
Highly recommend not taking her class. She doesn't have any extra credit and gives out so much homework/ quizzes. The lecture exams are super hard and the material on the test was hardly talked about. I regret taking her class and I wish I read her bad reviews before taking the class!
Took her for BIOL 2402 (A&P 2). Good teacher. Explained things well and gives good feedback. She also relates the info to real world application, which is nice. It is a hard class (I took the 7 week summer class) but if you put in the work, you should be fine. Would recommend for A&P 1 and 2 for sure.
DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. She doesn't teach, the class is very test heavy, homework and quizzes count for very little and reviews do not directly correlate with the exams. Extra credit is only worth 0.005% of your grade. I understand that grades aren't just given out, take a different professor if you can, or you will be left teaching yourself.
I'm not the most studious student but I felt like the course material was super heavy. Textbook is not necessary, but It will definitely be helpful. Lengthy lectures but that's to be expected there's so much to learn about the human body! I took Ms Rebhorn Fall of 2020 for A&P1 and will be retaking her again in the spring for a higher grade!
Pls if you have kids and a full time job, stay away from this professor. This class requires a lot of your time, doing HW, quizzes and Exams. Lecture are extremely long. Test are never the same as what she talked about. She is a very nice lady but will not recommend her class. A lot of ppl drop after 1st exam.
This class was very hard and challenging. Unless your are extremely smart and can devote aleast 20hrs weekly to this class, you will not pass. She twist the exams questions making it difficult to understand. Only 10point extra credit all semester. 5 point By attending all exams reviews and 5 points if you join study group. Her Class was HARD!
Loved her! Tough class, meant to be. No book, she uses "handouts" and strongly emphasizes flash cards and whiteboards to practice diagrams to learn models. Take notes, memorize the bolded terms and don't expect to skate by without doing your due diligence. It's up to you to pass this class, not your professor. Welcome to college!
DON'T TAKE THIS PROFESSOR PLEASE!!! never responds to emails, shows late almost every time or cancels 10 minutes after lecture has started, doesn't teach/only reads powerpoints already on website, NO LATE WORK the place you turn in your homework is deleted right at 12am so you can't turn in anything late, + more! hard class worst professor :,(
Took her for A&P 1 and A&P 2. Understand the material really well and review before exam, you should be able to pass. There is some extra credit you can get over the course (not much but it helps). No late work is accepted after deadline! She drop one of your lowest homework and lab quiz. 2-3 essay in ea exam, but will let u know, so be prepared!
AP I was my first science course after a four year hiatus & I didn't have to test into it (COVID), so needless to say I was nervous AF. Professor Rebhorn took all my concerns away. Material was presented clear, concise, & to the point. Exam reviews are LEGIT. I'm a 10-words-or-less kind of person, I like her teaching style, & I got an A. SEND IT
I loved taking Professor Rebhorn for both A&P l and A&P ll. This is a TOUGH course, you really have to dedicate a lot of time to truly understanding the material. She's up front about the work load from the beginning. Lectures are helpful. Tests are hard but not a surprise. She is a really great professor and I would absolutely take her again.
Great professor! I would definitely recommend you take her! However, make sure you're ready to dedicate lots of time to this class (duh), be ready to work. She definitely gives you the tools to do well in the class, just make sure you actually use them. She is very helpful and lets you know exactly what you should know for the exams.
This class was well taught and straight forward with what would be tested over. She would even give hints while in lecture. I am very satisfied with how this class unfolded and look forward to a&p 2 where we will learn more complex material.
I honestly do not understand where the positive reviews are coming from. She is literally the WORST professor at ACC I don't understand how she is still an employee. She does lecture reviews that have absolutely nothing to do with the test. If you ask her can you go over what you missed you won't get a response. PLEASE TAKE SOMEONE ELSE
Save your GPA take someone else!
clear on what she expects from exams, well prepared with handouts, thorough, answers questions well, easy she is to follow. You really do need to study hard, but I highly recommend her and will definitely try for her A&P II. She is pretty funny, which doesn't hurt either.
The tests and quizzes are straight from the lectures or reviews. Make sure to study because it's a lot of material to memorize.
extremely disrespectful towards students when someone offers a suggestion for how she can help us better. routinely gets grades back late and/or incorrectly graded. very incompetent during lectures and makes excuses for why students are doing poorly during reviews. awful!! her class made me cry so much out of frustration!
Anatomy sucks. In her own words the average grade is a C, but her students usually get B's. She provides exam reviews that have many of the actual exam questions. If you're not studying every day or every other day, you're not getting an A. But Professor Rebhorn is very frank about the difficulty of the course and how difficult each exam will be.
Avoid her at all costs!!
Very knowledgeable and fair. Her lectures are easy to listen to even though the content was heavy at times. She gives great study tips. You can pass the class with the info she presents in lecture. You won't need the textbook unless you're just curious and want to go deeper. I appreciated that she didn't make attendance mandatory.
This is a hard class. Professor Rebhorn is incredibly knowledgable and experienced. Although at times can seem unorganized or unmotivated, she wants you to succeed. Applies what you are learning to real life medical field examples. She might run 15 minutes late or cancel class last minute.
Would recommend! The course may seem tough at first, but as the semester progresses, Professor Rebhorn will help you get adjusted to the course and let you know what is expected out of you. Though the syllabus may say no extra credit will be given, expect an opportunity to raise your grade by ~4%. This can go a long way in the end.
She is a bad professor completely disorganized and doesn't understand students personal life. She also does seem very happy whenever she is teaching the subject not very motivating at all.
Rebecca is awesome and fairly flexible if she sees you trying! I would have made an A but was a few points short.
I took her for A&P 1 & 2. She is a great professor and she explains things in a way that are easy to understand and process. She also gives an abundance of tools to study and be prepared for exams. There is always homework, but those points boost your grade.
Lots of information packed into the lecture. She teaches fast and usually doesn't have time to explain things in detail during class. She offers outside hours and is flexible about making up missed work.
She's exceptional, always responsive to emails and consistently respectful. Her understanding nature made all the difference when I faced numerous challenges with my Chromebook. Despite these obstacles, I managed to earn a "B" in her class. She's a great professor and I totally recommend her! I'm eager to take A&P II with her.
This class is really hard and you will need to put in a lot of time studying and learning but she makes things easier to understand and really cares about her students and always willing to help. The tests follow the lectures and study guides exactly so if you keep up with the material you will be fine. I definitely recommend this class!
Prof Rehorn is AWESOME! She has a great sense of humor and a good lecturing style. She helps the information stick. She really cares about the students and is very understanding when circumstances arise that may make you miss a class or 2. Grading criteria was straightforward and tests went over what was taught. Take her, you will not regret it!
