Rebecca is an amazing teacher.I'm very surprised by the other comments.She did state that the textbook is hard to understand as most math texts are. She definitely has a passion for teaching and a passion for math.You must do all homework but it only benefits you in the end.She gives great pre-tests and is more than willing to meet in office. RAD!

Rebecca Ross is a very good math teacher. There may have been moments where the class deviated a little from schedule, or became a little disorganized (yet fun), but moving on to further math classes I really came to miss the effectiveness of her lectures. Her explanations made a difficult subject quite manageable.

Rebecca is a great prof. I came into this class with a horrible background in algebra, and despite that, I managed to scrape by with a decent grade. She is great about giving partial points, so while her tests are difficult, she's willing to make the effort. I'm really sad that she won't be teaching my next course. Best. Math. Prof. Ever.

Rebecca Ross was a great teacher! I took MTH95 online, and was a little weary at first, but lecture notes were put together well. She gave mid-term and final practice exams which were extra helpful. She replied to any questions I had in reasonable time. Also, lowest quiz score was thrown out!

Rebecca taught math 95 online very well. I learned so much. I really liked her teaching techniques. I hope to get her again!

This was my second online math class and I loved the course set up. Does not use My Math Lab which in my previous online math class created tons of busy work. Homework is assigned from the book but is not turned in and weekly graded quizes are done to check for understanding of the material. Lectures were clear and instructor was available.

I took this class online and it was ok. She was helpful and responded quickly to questions. She's a bit of a math nerd, and like most math instructors, assumes that you share her love of the subject and does not try to do anything to make it more interesting for those who are taking math because they have to, not because they want to.

She was great, responsive and if you had questions, answered them quickly. I took this class online and did great! The book and materials that came with it were helpful. The practice tests were great too.

Rebecca is getting a bum deal on some of the posts. I found her to be very helpful. She's not going to just give you an easy A. Her goal though is to make sure you understand the material, and will explain it 50 different ways if she has to. She was always available for me. Sure there were a few typo's on the material, but show me a perfect prof.

Was a fun teacher with some occasional jokes. A little on the eccentric side but was relatively easy to follow. She went over homework a lot which was quite helpful.

I have taken Math 65 two times before taking Ross's class. Both times I recieved a D grade and was having trouble understanding anything. Ross has a way of making the formulas easy to understand and is extrememly helpful in her teaching. One of the best teachers I have ever had. I can finally pass a math class!! :D

Great teacher. Very helpful! She is funny and makes class fun. Admits when she makes a mistake and isn't afraid to laugh about it. LOVE her!! Wish I could take another math class with her.

Rebecca was kind and understanding, went out of her way to be helpful and thoughtful with her explanations. Her tests were not difficult if you covered the material beforehand, when I did not BAM... OUCH that hurt.

Took MTH65 & now MTH95. Rebecca makes you work for your grade, but it will pay off in future math courses. Spend the time/effort to learn the material, and you'll get an A. I don't agree the negative comments. If you email for help, she gives instruction in great detail. She also provides everything you need to pass the class with an A or B.

Rebecca is a great instructor. If you're not comfortable with self directed learning than DO NOT choose an online course, but that's a given. Rebecca is easy to reach, offers great explanations, and extremely understanding. This is a good class for visual learns, everything is taught from well compiled notes.

As an instructor, Rebecca is great. What I didn't like was the heavy use of MyMathLab, and the Math 95 book that the school forces everyone to use is by far the worst math book I've ever encountered. The math 112 book is 10 times clearer.

I took Rebecca for stats and it was great! Her assignments are clear cut and not over confusing. Lectures are broken up with groups and worksheets. Rebecca is very approachable and friendly. She makes herself available to help if needed. Homework isn't mandatory but suggested practice so it's up to you to get prepared for tests.

Had Rebecca for Statistics I. A great class and instructor. She is very clear on her expectations, and will let you know what details she will be picky about. No surprises on tests. Suggested homework is a necessity, plus more. Rebecca is responsive to questions, and always respectful. A great sense of humor and laughs at herself.

Rebecca is an awesome instructor. She is very clear with her expectations and she lets you know exactly what will be on her tests and what she is looking for. As long as you show your work she'll give partial credit to any wrong answers which helps if you're like me and make simple mistakes.

Very helpful, responds to emails quickly. Clear cut in the grading process, gives lots of helpful links and notes other than the textbook.

Rebecca was a great resource during the course. She was quick to respond to emails on a constant basis and more than willing to help clarify any questions! Rebecca is willing to do whatever is within her power to help any student in the course! She is understanding.

I took MTH111 online with Rebecca and so I didn't interact with her directly but appreciated her prompt and thorough responses. She also created a really comfortable learning environment and we would receive full credit for our weekly discussion board homework if we corrected the error after posting. Her tests were also really fair, no surprises!

I took the hybrid class with her in the summer term. It was awesome. 2:20 mins at class and go home to take online homework and quizzes online. She is very enthusiastic about teaching math and caring about her students. She teaches step by step to make difficult concept much easier. Online questions also helped me a lot.

Rebecca is genuinely excited about Mathematics and it shows through her attitude. I was in her Calculus 1 class and I felt I understood everything she taught.

I've now taken 11 math courses and Rebecca was by far my favorite instructor out of all of them. She really puts in the extra effort to help students and grades fairly. Couldn't recommend more.

I took her hybrid class and most of the learning was through what she calls lecture note guides - basically the book chapters but condensed and it targets what she wants you to know. Didn't touch the book at all. Classes are half lecture half group/solo work and each week was super straight to the point with what was due. No late work allowed.

LOVE HER. I'm bad at math, but this term I took a class online and I've done better than ever. I have much better comprehension and confidence. Rebecca is always available and an excellent facilitator; she knows how to reach her students. Her Lecture Note Guides and videos are amazing. Great compiled resources and feedback. Highly recommend.

I'm not gonna lie, this math class was HARD. However, Rebecca was very good at responding to emails and she had a great way of explaining things when asked directly about a topic. There's a lot of work each week, but if you get into the flow it isn't so bad. Be sure to STUDY for the Midterm and Finals or you won't do well (I bombed the Midterm).

Absolutely loved this professor! Yes there was a lot of homework but that's mainly how you learned through the course. She responds almost immediately to emails and always tries to give as much direction she can to help you succeed. Feedback on homework is clear and she's always willing to give out extra sources to help you get through the course.

I have never done so well in a math class. Plus any issues I had I would just email her and she would get back to me with helpful advice. Im so happy with this class. I will be taking her again.

This class was so well designed and laid out that I was able to review and catch up the first two weeks after not having a math class in 10 years, and progress normally for the rest of the term. Yes the work load is heavy and time consuming but if you put in the bare minimum and follow the schedule you will be fine. Professor Ross is awesome!

The outline of this class was really easy to figure out and the expectations were clear. ALEKS is a really helpful program that automatically sets up review work for you, so the workload is different based on each individual. There were a lot of different deadlines throughout the week to make sure you work in the class consistently. Long lectures.

I really enjoyed having Rebecca as an instructor. You can tell she loves what she does.. I took this class online and she had recorded all her own lectures. Lectures are long and she sometimes trails off but she wants to make sure everyone is understanding the material. I also love using Aleks. Overall, I had to work very hard for my A.

clearly loves what she does & I find it to be infectious. As others have said lectures move a bit fast at times & if you dont 100% get a topic youre on your own. calendar had a few errors but she was receptive and vocalized changes. She was more than willing to take time out of her day to help answer clarifying questions. 100% would take again.

Rebecca was friendly but wasn't super helpful in teaching the material in an effective way. I took MTH111 as a hybrid class (online class & in person once a week). I would definitely recommend taking this class fully in person. Also for sure read exam info because we were allowed to use notes on the final in person! This helped a ton.

We used ALEKS for homework. Though you have to pay for it, it was helpful for me and I was able to understand. The class was kind of hard but I think if you were to study hard then you'll able to pass the class.

She is so fun and nice during class. I took it hybrid so the in-class portion was mainly group work and some lectures. There's a lot of assignments due throughout the week but they are super easy like discussion posts, online quizzes, ALEKS, and lab reports. It is not a hard class, especially with all you support you can get from Rebecca.

Rebecca was a good professor. Lots of homework on ALEKS (not ideal), and hours of lectures to watch during the week. In person class was great though. Lots of group work. She is a very energetic teacher and clearly loves what she teaches. If you struggle with online learning however, I'd recommend a fully in person class for math 111 or higher.

This class was very difficult. There is a lot of homework, but Rebecca truly wants to help and will always help you out as quickly as she can. One element that was super helpful was being able to ask the teacher a question in OpenMath which she always responded to and I felt like that gave me ample time to get the material. She was great!

Rebecca was nice! She would say to reach out for help, but I found better help elsewhere.I only got REAL help from tutors and youtube.We had a quiz 4-6 question quiz every single week; Im not the best test taker. Spend as much time studying and you will pass.

Rebecca was quick to respond, gave thoughtful responses, and always offered more help if I needed it. It is a very lecture-heavy class especially if taken online, and there are quizzes every week. If you set a good schedule, the workload doesn't feel as bad. I would take this class again solely because she was so helpful. Feedback is great as well.
