I dont know what anyone is talking about when they say this class is hard. I showed up to class 1 out of the 3 times a week and still managed to get an A. Anyone that cant ace this class must not be too smart

Great lectures and really knows her subject. Totally unbiased and opens people up to the reality of sex and sexuality without judgement. Good tests, good lectures, read the book and you'll be fine. Makes time for you if you need it, personal or scholastic.

Becky Slaton is a really neat teacher. She always makes funny jokes on sex. One time she talked about Jack & Bean Stalk... and said how "he climbed the ****, uh I mean beanstalk!" She's hilarious. As for the class, you don't really need to read the textbook as long as you take NOTES, and she also gives you a STUDY GUIDE with questions that will be on the exam in advance. Take her, I guarantee it will not dissapoint!

After three years at city, Dr. Slaton was the best teacher I had. Very knowledgable, helpfull, and related well with students of all ages. She covered all topics with enthusiasm and related the information to real life in a way that made it helpfull and usefull for students of all experience and intelligence levels.

Need to be a fast note taker, but at end of semester started making her lecture notes available online. Make sure you know everything you need to know about the essay questions on tests. Gives study guide, start them as soon as you get them. Lots of material to memorize. Pretty good body, nice rack, likes to wear tight, short dresses/skirts

A really good teacher. She made the class very enjoyable. All the notes you'd need to take are up on the overhead. She would recognize if she was going to fast and leave the page up for people to finish copying. Doing the study guide and going over it will help you out a lot on the tests.

Ms. Slaton was one of the coolest professors I've taken at City. She stays on topic and keeps everything from getting awkward, which is important in this class. Three out of five of our exams were take home, but I don't know if this is standard for her classes. She seems to use sex jokes as a sort of gimmick, so be prepared for them. She'll also call you out for messing around or leaving. One student got up after finding out our exam was postponed, she paused her lecture just to stare at him.

Best teacher ever! She is fair, she gives study guides for tests and will help with any question the student doesn't understand. If you don't pass the class it is your fault not hers. She gives all you need to pass its up to you to do the work.

I took her 2016 spring class. Great teacher with a funny sense of humor. Helps you stay interested in the material and has study guides that have everything for the exams on them. No homework either which is a plus when you take busier classes. Just take notes on the lectures and you'll be golden.

As someone with an interest and basic knowledge in psych, I found Slaton's class easy, but very entertaining. Four Exams plus a Final, no HW. If you already know about the more famous studies, schools of psych, and researchers, you can get away with missing classes.

She's an amazing professor, super chill, clear lectures and test materials (study guide almost exactly as the tests). She makes lecture funny, she knows her stuff, answers questions. Second time taking her, passed with an A both times. 100% reccomend.

Dr. Rebecca Slaton is a professor who understands the material she teaches. The classroom itself sucks due to the large amount of people, in addition it limits interpersonal connection with the professor which is a downside. Fortunately, there's 5 exams including final, 40MultiChoice, 1Short answer question on each exam. Extra credit. Good class.

Dr. Slaton gives study guides which are spot on to what the test questions are. She makes jokes in class but she does get carried away at times. Even though you see only PowerPoints and watch videos in her class, attendance is needed as part of your grade. She's a great teacher. Very friendly. It is very dependent on tests but she gives you a study guide for every test that is very accurate to the test and if you know the answers to them, you'll pass. She also drops your lowest test and essay score except for the final which is a bonus. Not to mention she offers extra credit.

This is the best professor at City for psych. The study guides are basically the same as the test, I didnt use the textbook I would plug her lecture notes from canvas into the study guide. I skipped class a lot but if you do that you cant use the extra credit so I dont think skipping is a good idea if you want that back up set of points.

She always posted her lectures on Canvas which was a huge plus & you can always print them out and use them on the exams. She only graded by exams which was great and remember to always do your study guide! She would go over the powerpoint and the study guide. Shes funny and gives extra credit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Online (Pandemic) class. Slaton was the easiest professor for me this semester. Lectures are informative. A quick and easy quiz and discussion each week except exam weeks. Everything you need is on the powerpoint lecture, no mandatory textbook. Do the study guide and you'll get an A on all your exams. Highly recommend.

If anyone has anything negative to say about Mrs Slaton probably was a lazy student or something that doesn't add up but I Just finished the spring semester of 2021. She provides study guides and if you do them you'll def pass her class. Literally, an easy A. NO essays or papers, thank the lord! you literally, won't regret taking her class.

If you do the work and study guides she provides you'll do fine. She gives great feedback weekly on the discussion assignments, which is helpful if you're not earning all those points because you'll need them. She also has plenty of extra credit opportunities. There aren't many overall points so not much room for error. Overall, she's great!

Her lessons are already planned out which is helpful because you know ahead of time what's coming up and what's due. You cannot retake exams, however, you get two attempts on quizzes. There are 4 exams, a quiz for each chapter, and a final exam. Each chapter also has a discussion. Her study guides are EXACTLY like the exams.

She gives you great study guides that are just like the exams, which is very helpful in helping you be successful in her class! I would definitely take this class again, im looking into taking any other classes she has to offer!

She is an amazing teacher. She went over PowerPoint slides every single day with interesting material. She gave the study guide with basically everything that will come on the exam. If you study the study guide you will for sure pass the class. She is open to talk about anything.

Dr. Slaton is amazing and is actually the first professor I met on campus. She takes her class and lectures very seriously but still deeply cares about her students. The class is weighted off of tests exclusively with extra credit added at the end of the semester. Do the study guide and you will pass the class without any big problems.

Honestly, a very easy class to manage while working, one homework assignment a week, maybe a 5 question quiz, and the exams are so easy if you do the study guide! I highly recommend taking this course with Prof. Slaton even if you go to another school. Her lectures are very interesting with links to learn more! I am a forestry major and I loved it!

There was no assignment, only lectures and then tests on lectures. In other words everything on the test is on the lectures. She does have heavy lectures tho, she talks the whole time.

take dr. slaton! i took her for psych 2, the class is easy to pass all of her lecture powerpoints are on canvas so if you miss it's really not a big deal she gives a study guide that is exactly like the exam her lectures are never boring (if you like psychology) and she finds ways to connect the material to the real world so it's easy to remember.

Also need to purchase test forms but they are extremely cheap. Good teacher, learned a lot, found interest in psychology.

Awesome teacher. she's very down to earth her lecture stories are so funny. its a pretty easy class if you pay attention and look at the lecture. i missed plenty of days but everything is online so you can view if you missed class. one of thee best teachers ive had highly recommend.

She is honestly one of the best professors i ever had she is very caring and kind and her exams are pretty easy the only work we have to di is show up to class and do the exams but the exams are like once every month. She explains it very well, I love her so much she is the reason I switched my major. I would definitely recommend taking her class.

One of my all time favorite professors I've experienced. She's extremely nice and caring, makes sure the lectures are entertaining and easy to comprehend. I received a C due to the fact that I didn't show up often and missed the final test. However, regardless of my grade Slaton is a good professor and I would recommend her to students who are interested in Psychology.
