She's so funny and laid back, but she is a good professor. Will give credit when earned and really understanding. As long as you put in effort you'll pass for sure.

Prof Zepeda is awesome!! She is such a sweet and caring teacher, and if you do all your work on time, you will easily get an A. She is very understanding and grades fairly. Her lectures are also very explanatory and cover the test material very well. Even if you aren't a science person you will most likely love her class.

Zepeda has been one of my favorite professors at BC! Her class can BE DIFFICULT. make sure to go over the powerpoints and the class material every day! Reading and studying the class material is really important in order to pass this class. Overall she offers a lot of help in group quizzes and before the actual exam. I highly recommend her :)

Lectures are long like any other science class but she is specific on what she wants you to learn and interacts with class while doing lecture. She gives study guides but not all the material that will be tested on will be there but the majority will. If you study them then you will for sure pass the exams! Do all of the extra credit (super easy)

Professor Zepeda is one of the most nicest teachers Ive had at Bakersfield College and made Biology fun in lab. I recommend going to class every day and doing ALL the extra credit she gives. She gives a lot of opportunities in order for a student to pass. Theres a lot of writing that is involved. Also, studying the material is KEY

Prof. Zepeda is a great teacher. She explains everything in her lectures and doesn't test you on stuff you haven't learned. The labs were fun and engaging. She gives a study guide for each exam so just study that and take good notes and you'll do fine.

This is a great professor for non-Bio major students. Shes really caring, and you can tell she really wants you to do well. Shes funny, but the class does make you work for it.

Tests are based on lecture material. She explains everything to the core and she'll even slow down if needed. Lab with her was also great! She's really caring and always in a positive mood. I definitely recommend her for BIO 11!!!!! Definitely won't regret it!!!

The class is very lecture heavy, however the way the professor goes over the subjects makes it very simple to understand. Attendance is a must in this class,however the professor is very understanding. the class was tough but you can get a passing grade. she is an amazing professor that i would take again. the text book for this class is only really needed for the preview quizzes in my opinion. You need to go to lecture and lab she gives A BUNCH of info that useally is on the test. 10/10 would recommend her. Always positive!

This teacher really cares for her classes, she is very responsive if you are having any questions in or outside of class. She gives a lot of opportunities through the semester to make up your grade, if you cant change that grade with her its not her fault its yours. Great overall very enthusiastic and kind. Professor Zepeda was a great anatomy and physiology professor to have. She presents lectures very clearly without going too fast. Shes uses canvas to keep you updated on grades and also to post lectures to use as study aids. If youre willing to put in the work you will have no problem finding success in this class.

Professor Zepeda is a great teacher for Bio 18. She explains her slides in detail and answered any question respectfully. It very important to be in lab for the oral quizzes because they help your grade.

BY FAR THE BEST BIOLOGY PROFESSOR AT BC! She is willing to help her students understand the material and answer any questions you might have. It is a challenging course but she makes it easy if you are willing to so your part. Study hard and you'll pass.

Professor Zepeda is such an amazing teacher and person, she really does care about her students. Its a biology class so you do have to work for your grade but she does such a great job in her lectures to make sure you understand the material. We had about 8 quizzes and 3 chapter tests in which she drops the lowest quiz. I would highly recommend !!

Professor Zependa has to be one of my best professors I've ever had in college. There are oral quizzes and quizzes often. But it's by chapters and it's an anatomy class. She explains everything very clearly and will always ask if she needs to repeat things. If I ever have to take a biology class again I hope its with her.

Professor Zepeda really cares about her students understanding the material covered and will even answer questions beyond the scope of this class if you are interested in learning. If you pay attention and take good notes, you will do well on the tests. Make sure you learn to spell the things you learn in lab. Know them lack the back of your hand.

I had a great time taking this class throughout the summer despite the fast moving environment. While this rapid moving class covers various topics, Professor Zepeda does a great job in explaining each section and subsection clearly and efficiently so that the information may be clearly retained and understood within every one of her students.

I took Zepeda for fall 2020, and she really is a great professor, she is very smart and passionate, her lectures are bit longer but I feel she breaks it down well, the workload is light, BUT the tests/quizzes are nightmares. They are all about "critical thinking". At the end I failed, but its not her, its just the tests that were intense

She is very good at explaining things. If you need any help, she will answer your questions promptly and completely. Bio is really hard enough as it is but she has fun lectures and make it seem like biology is not as hard enough as it is. Make it a point to really understand the topics, not just memorize it. Prof helped us students a lot I would recommend her over any other bio professor! I did take her class online so im not sure how in-person labs will run however her lecture videos were great & easy to follow. repetition is key! make sure you grasp concepts not just book definitions & prof. is great at helping with this. shes very understanding.

Be ready to read and take notes! Her lecture videos were pretty long but she broke down everything that is on the lecture printouts. Memorization, Comprehension and Critical thinking are crucial in this class. She is passionate about biology and knows her stuff!

Bio32 is a tough course, but professor Zepeda continued to encourage me during the time I took her class. There's a lot of work so make sure you're ready for this class and have time for it. Tests are the hardest part of it, but it's only because there's so much you have to have memorized. The discord chat that Professor made was also amazing & fun

This class is hard work and if you don't have the time to dedicate to it then you will most likely not pass. I thought I knew the material before going into the class, but there was A LOT more that I had forgotten. Unfortunately I wasn't able to give myself the proper study time and that cost me the true grade that I wanted.

Took her 6week course & would do it again. Do not skim her material she wants you to understand physiology not memorize it. Lectures are well explained. Teaching methods cater to auditory, visual, and kinesthetic learners. Critical thinking questions. Provides TONS of resources to help. Curves grades +extra credit. She is lively and passionate!!

Loved going to her lectures. Made topics easy to understand. For labs, we had access to videos to memorize the models. Grades depended heavily on exams. Also provided with topic breakdowns prior to exams. Really kind and patient when asked for clarification.

Took her couple years ago for both B32 and B33. The most impactful professor I ever had. Her classes taught me what it really means to be a college student. Her passion for teaching is inspiring and makes you want to be a better student. The classes are HARD but she is there for you, I promise. Study study study. Review the material over and over.

Found Bio 33 tougher than 32 lots of diagrams and flow charts to remember. Spend 20+ hrs/wk studying. Lots more content I think. Prof. Zepeda gave tons of effort to ensure your understood everything. Posted lectures online, had Kahoots of content and made videos of models that were incredibly helpful to study outside of class. Would take again!

The material itself isn't difficult; the amount of it can be challenging, though. Study advice: expose yourself to the material BEFORE lecture, and ask clarifying questions in class (time saver!). She is wonderful and wants you to pass! An angel with wings that is very understanding!

She's my goat honestly. Everything she says sticks and the above grade was because I didn't feel like studying. If you study for a little bit after, ask questions, and pay attention during the lectures, you'll be fine. Super kind and definitely a model professor!
