Professor Watson was awesome! I was very worried about this class at first but ended up getting an A. She is very straight forward, if you listen and take note of everything she says you will succeed. She gives hints of what will be on the quizzes and tests. She also provides various online study materials. She is a great teacher!
Great instructor! If you print the powerpoints and in class take good notes, you have to pass. She gives you all the information needed for test and lab quizzes during lectures. It's not an easy class, but she sure makes it a bit easier. I took her for 1407 and without doubt am looking forward for SCIT 1408.
She is incredible. This is not an easy class and you seriously have to study, but if you're willing to put in the work, she gives you all the tools you need. She's animated and interesting during her lectures and challenges you everyday. I forwent taking 1408 last semester because she wasn't teaching it. She's my favorite professor.
I love Miss Watson. She is an amazing person and teacher. She makes funny comments to ease the meterial. I would definitely recommend taking any class with her.
I took Biol 2401 with Hines as my Lecture teacher and Watson was my Lab teacher. She was awesome very helpful, nice and made the class fun! Take her!!!!
She is almost PERFECT!! I mean, she would explain anything to you unyil you understand it. She has a very unique teaching style that makes you want to come to class more than you have to.
I was a little nervous about taking A&P II online during the summer, but professor Watson and her lecture videos were amazing! The study guides she provided also helped out. The class requires a lot of your time but if you stay committed you'll most likely succeed.
Mrs. Watson is the best teacher ever!! I was so scared to take A&P, but she made it seem easy. Very clear lectures, and power points. She doesn't try to trick you on tests. She explains anything you don't understand. She's very personable, and makes class enjoyable. It's definitely not an easy class, but it was easier with her teaching it.
By far the rudest professor I have ever had! She is not helpful with resolving issues or clarifying assignmens. Not a friendly or personable professor; seems to not really care about the students.
Very intimidating professor. Do not ask questions regarding issues with assignments, it is the quickest way to get on her bad side.
This professor is not good with clarifying assignments. If you do not understand something you will have to figure it out on your own. She is not helpful and does not give guidance when it is needed.
Power points are each typically well over a 100 slides filled from top to bottom, therefore, you might as well just read the book. Professor is not friendly or willing to help! Seems to not care about students outcome. Beware, she also has reviews through Richland college as well which give great insight into to her teaching styles.
She teaches in such great methods that as a student everything can click well together which is very helpful for A&PI. I had previously taken the same course with another teacher that went so into depth almost near BIOL2402 , Ms. Watson teaches the necessary and interesting side of Anatomy and Physiology (: eConnect & Reviews are extremely helpful
This is a tough class no matter who the professor is. However, this professor does not help in making this class any more interesting or easier with her teaching methods. Read your whole textbook, know all the material for exams and homework. If at all possible choose another professor to take if needing to take this class.
This is the only professor I have seen to get upset about you turning in an assignment early that has been posted to blackboard. Then deletes the attempt and makes you do it again.
I'm taking Professor Watson online and it is an extreme amount of studying. The assignments are not that bad nor are the labs but studying for the test can be hard as the study guide she gives is extremely vague and open. She is late to respond to emails and does not offer any extra credit, I would not take her again.
She's a great teacher and loves her job. She explains things really well and had a sense of humor which makes lecture go by pretty fast. Her tests aren't too tough but you do need to study. I would recommend this professor
Reviews are not helpful at all! They are super long, usually around 3 pages long. They do not narrow anything down. And are not very helpful for a test that is around 57 questions. The last 2 questions on the tests are 'short answer' but require you to write atleast 5 sentences; they are graded very tough as well.
One of the worst professors I have ever had! She's extremely rude. Reviews do not help with tests. She grades hard on short answers for tests.
Probably one of the worst professors through dcccd and at el centro! Rude and uncaring is what you get from this professor.. Beware !
I do recommend her if you want to learn. For a CC class, this class is no doubt on the tougher side. But if you are doing this for post-bacc credit, this class is a joke. About half the exam are pictures from lab asignments - the exact same image. There are two shorts answers as well and I've gotten full points usually without trying much.
Mark my words YOUR GPA will be affected negatively dealing with this professor. She continuously says we'll learn that on a later chapter and will have you wondering well just what am I supposed to be gaining in this chapter. I've dealt with challenging classes but this was the worst!!! Took with a different professor and passed with flying colors.
She is very tough grading your short essays on test, very slow grading test and work assignments. Her reviews are long and she only ask about 1/3 of the stuff of the review on the test. If you need this for nursing please take Paul!!!!!:/
This class was full of ridiculous amounts of homework, quizzes, etc. -- 40 assignments/quizzes, 6 tests, 3 labs, 1 semester project (essay), for this ONE 4-hour course. Out of all the classes I've ever taken for my B.S. in Biology, this one class has given me the most unnecessary and excessive assignments to date.
My only regret is not taking her for SCIT 1407. She is an AMAZING professor that is funny, will answer questions, and explains until you get it. The 5 Exams she did a study guide for each chapter & it was exactly what was on the test. 2 lab practicals that were hard, but mainly because of the amount of material. Gives candy for A's. Must study!!!
A&P is not an easy class, but Prof Watson is a good teacher, and really knows her stuff. She encourages people to ask questions in class and is available to be seen outside of class if you need it. She gives reviews for all her tests, which are very helpful. Do not expect to do well in this class, if you put in the minimum effort.
This is naturally a hard class but this professor does not care to make things easier. Reviews are unhelpful, yes half of it is picture based but it is also material that was not in the review or posted anywhere. And the review is about 3 pages long. Which if a review is that long & has to be completed, you would hope it covers everything.
Best word to describe this teacher is Rude! Not very helpful. If having to take this class, do yourself a favor and take a different professor. This is not a blow off class obviously but this professor is not here to help you. Tests do not coincide with reviews. And all of the reviews, HW, &other assignments do not help prepare for the tests! RUN!!
Ms. Watson is not very helpful. She says to read the syllabus and don't ask her for clarification. She just won't help. Yes it's online, but you would hope the professor is available to answer questions. All she said she is to read the material and figure it out. Why is she a professor if that is her attitude.
The exams are tough, but she is a huge help if you participate in class and ask questions. She's a pretty easy-going instructor, which can trick you into thinking the course will be easy. She's a terrific instructor though, and makes sure she gives updates every week about what assignments are due.
Worst experience with a professor at dcccd! It's very disappointing to feel as though your teacher does not care to help you and does not want to be there. Watson is not helpful And gets rude when asking questions to clarify assignments. Not at all open minded or willing to help.
Unhelpful and uncaring is what you will get from professor Watson. There are plenty of other professional and caring professors to take this course with. Do yourself a favor and do not put yourself through this headache. If you do take her, do not ask questions, she gets upset and is rude and that just puts you on her bad side.
Worst professor Ever ! Not nice at all. Not helpful. Does not care at all.
Worst professor Ever! Not helpful at all. Not very nice. She is rude.
Rudest professor! Absolutely terrible. You will not get anything from taking this course with her.
Mean lady! Stay clear!
Incredibly rude! This lady is not here to help you!
She is a tough but fair professor. If you study her lectures videos and study you will do well. Her exams are straight forward and no BS. She's very helpful if you ask for help.
Her reviews do not help you prepare for her tests, assignments are excessive, and she is extremely rude! Do not take her; there are plenty of better professor who care about teaching and are willing to help.
Watson does not care about teaching or her students. She is the worst professor I have ever had. She has a terrible attitude and refuses to help when you have question. Do yourself a favor and pick another professor !!!
Take this course with a different professor!!
She was a great professor I decided to take her for A&P next semester. She is very helpful and will help in any way she can. Her lectures are nice and simple, also fun. I enjoyed myself with her this semester.
If your wanting to learn or just get any easy grade this not the teacher for you!
Tests seem easy but they are not! She has reviews which are about 4 pgs long but they do not prepare you for what's on the test ..
Great teacher! Study the reviews and lectures. Turn in all assignments on time and you will do well.
She's a good teacher, she will explain any inquiry you have regarding the subject. Anyone who got less than a B was because they took the class for granted, you actually have to READ the assignments and review in order to understand lecture, this is a science class if you want easy change majors.
I loved Ms. Watsons class! I wish she were teaching 2402. Had her for lab & lecture. The PowerPoint IS the test and you're provided with reviews. Lots of daily grades, lowest grades dropped. I found her very helpful & she responded to my emails promptly and fairly. This class is TOUGH but if you show up and put in the work you will do fine.
Not sure what other reviewers are thinking. Ms. .Watson was awesome. The tests are the lecture and you are given reviews that are very helpful. She was never rude to anyone in either lecture or lab. She was very nice. This is a tough class, no question, but if you do the work you will pass. You have to STUDY to do better than that.
Horrible teacher!
Ms. Watson is a rude teacher! She does not care about helping students and does not care to explain things. If ou ask her a question, you automatically get on her bad side. There are plenty of other professors to take the course with who have awesome reviews! I would not recommend this teacher at all.
Ms. Watson was horrible! This is probably the worst teacher I ever had. She seemed to be very impolite when emailing and asking questions about assignments! You will regret taking her. Exams are completely different than he unhelpful review she gives! Absolutely worst experience I have had with a teacher and an extremely disappointed.
Her reviews do not help with studying for exams. You will see completely different material than what she provides.
She knows her material but doesn't know how to teach
Horrible teacher! Does not care about students. Hates answering questions. Seems as if she would rather be doing something other than teaching...I would definitely NOT recommend her!
Reviews do not prepare you for her tests! Do not take her!
She does not want to see you succeed. Take a different professor for this course. It is not necessary to have your gpa affected by this horrible lady.
By far the worst professor I have EVER had! Very difficult (rude) and not willing to work with her students.
I had to drop this course because this teacher's attitude was disgusting. She belittles students and does not treat them equally or fairly.
The worst teacher to take this course with!
Tough class made even worse with this horrible professor who does not like to respond or answer questions related to the class. Stay away or Get out while you can!
Do not take this teacher! She does not care about the success of her students!
Absolutely horrible teacher !!
I absolutely loved Ms. Watson. I thought she did a great job outlining what was expected for the class. I took this course online and even did it as an 8 week course. I loved her guidelines for what was need to know and what wasn't necessarily required. This class requires hard work and will work for those who are great at self-teaching.
Mrs Watson outlined in detail - what was expected of her students. My grade was not great but I have learned to respect instructors like her. The nursing school world could be considered cut throat and I accepted that she was going to be too. She is not lenient nor sympathetic and she doesnt have to be! You get what you put in. Learn that!
In any science course, you definitely get what you put in; as is the case with any class. I have learned that after taking many courses in various subjects. However, this teacher is unhelpful, rude and antagonizing. She is hateful and does not want her students to excel. There is a complete difference in tough love, giving students the utensils to
She really breaks the concepts of the class down for you in a easy to understand way. Likes to use fun memory tricks, and her lectures were amusing. Notes and prelab req to stay in lecture. Prepare to do alot of studying, but she will explain anything you need a better understanding of. Extra credit oppurtunities, and rewards you for scoring an A.
Get ready to Google in class. She has rare moments of critical learning. Prelabs are not corrected over often so be ready to study the wrong information. Spelling matters to the dot even when you know the answer. No points or partial points for absent days even though all prelab and labs are finished.
Professional, courteous, caring. 3 weekly assignments, 1 weekly quiz. Exams were pretty much from study guide. Lectures were online, just narrates the powerpoints. She's very helpful when reviewing exams/confirming information. Knowledgeable. I enjoyed her class. Final is not comprehensive. 1 exam, 1 quiz, 1 assignment grade dropped.
Had professor Watson for lab. She took the time to make sure you understood anatomy and physiology for objectives. Usually she goes over material first then lets you have time to look at models, slides, dissections. Lab quizzes can be hard if you don't study hard enough. Being familiar with lecture material helps to pass Practical.
Took online. I enjoyed her lectures. She's funny and really knows A & P. The class is tough but it's not because of her; just the nature of the material. She always answered any questions that I had and her course was very organized. She doesn't coddle and she really shouldn't have to. I lived and breathed A & P II for the semester and earned my A.
Rudest professor ever! Do not take her! Plenty of other professors to take this course with ..
Run while you can this by far the worst "professor" at dcccd. I have taken a multitude of classes at almost every campus in different subjects. And this lady is the worst of the worst. Not sure why she teaches because she seems to hate answering questions at all. Extremely rude and unhelpful.
Took her class online and she was so rude whenever you asked her a question. Very condescending and not helpful. She does not care and is not there for help. My advice is to take this class with another actual professor who wants to actually teach and be 'bothered' with students.
Worst teacher ever! Avoid at all costs!
My experience with professor Watson was great! I was hesitant to take her class due to the bad reviews and comments however, she was clear since day one about expectations, and always helped. Don't get intimidated by others reviews, it all comes down to each student approach to the class. Study hard, stay on top of your work, and ask questions.
This class was hard! But if you study you can be successful. Professor Watson gives really good lectures. Take notes and be prepared to laugh. She's funny. I learned a LOT in this class and because I studied so hard I retained a lot as well. Would def take a class with her again. My class was online including labs, and tests were proctored.
The class itself is not that hard. Time consuming-yes! You do have to study. However, the teacher herself is just downright rude and unhelpful. I would not recommend taking this class with her took AP1 w/ another professor whose class was booked so I was stuck with her.
She does not enjoy teaching. She gets frustrated easily and annoyed with questions. She takes points off if you leave class like two or five minutes early even if you finish your lab. Shes good at explaining what to do before lab at first but the longer you get in semester the less she gives a fudge.
This is the professor from hell! Take my advice- Run while you can, seriously. Take this class with professor alegre. He has amazing reviews, is kind/ caring and wants to help you succeed. This lady does not give any cares in the world about her students. All she is doing is collecting a check.
By far the worst professor I have EVER taken. She is hostile and rude for absolutely no reason at all.
Worst teacher I have ever taken! Don't do it. Rude, not helpful, does not want to answer questions or help.
The answers for quizzes were on quizlet website; anatomy &physiology revealed diagrams are on the quiz. Case studies are easy; all answers were on quizlet. 20.5 points worth of extra credit can be earned by attempting the optional LearnSmart for each chapter(13 pts total),& 1 extra credit long Q&A on the last main exam(7.5 points).
The prof. tests from homework quiz, optional learnSmart assignment, APR diagram, and powerpoint. Read the chapters thoroughly. I suggest going to the stem center or learning center for labs because labs are time consuming and tough. Extra credit increased my percentage total from 88 to a 90.
She does not respond well to you asking her questions. If you ask her anything, you will automatically be blackballed and put on her bad side. Not kind, caring, friendly nor compassionate. Seems to dislike her job and acts as if students are bothering her.
She responded to my e-mails, replied back the answers to some questions that I asked her. A prof. who teaches at Mountain View asks me to find the answers myself, to the questions that I asked her. I know the exams for Prof. Watson's class can be tough bt if you score well on ur asignments, there's a great chance you might end up with a B at least
She lacks a moral compass and does not care about students achievement. Gave me a zero on exam (which will basically automatically fail you, unless you have 100s in everything else) because the testing my center was having system issues so there was absolutely no way to take exams there. She told me that this was my issue and to plan accordingly.
I was also taking another bio class with another professor and explained the situation, in which this professor's response was understandable to give just 1 day to take my exam at a different location due to the testing center having issues. However, Watson did not care at all and blamed me for the testing center being closed due to tech issues
Watson was quite honestly rude during my encounter with her and throughout our conversations via email. It was unlike another encounter I have ever had with any other professor. She did not conduct herself in a way in which a professor should. She was rude, uncaring, unhelpful and just plain hateful. My advice would be to stay away from this woman.
I took her for Anatomy and Physiology 2 and was weary at first because of all the negative reviews she got. I took her for lecture in class and was surprised when I actually liked her way of lecturing. What helped me the most was doing the practice exams that she puts up for each chapter and doing the short answer questions ahead of time.
I took this class online over the summer, and honestly regret it. Her tests are very difficult unless you read the textbook for specific "details." Although the lab simulations are interactive and fun, they did not help me during the exam as much. Her exams are proctored at a testing center too, so just a heads up. Take if you love read.
I was really scared to take her because of all the bad reviews she had. To my surprise she was AMAZING!!!! I would 1000% take again! Anatomy is tough and requires A LOT of studying! But prof Watson tried her best to answer any questions & made very clear what she expected on tests. She also made lectures interesting. TAKE HER!!!!!!!
She was amazing! I loved taking her on campus class. She loves to explain things in detail and is funny in lectures. She is always making anatomy fun with review games and activities. The nature of anatomy is hard, but she makes it a little easier!
Anatomy and Physiology is of course a hard course, but she makes it interesting and easy to understand.
I don't know why this professor makes it so hard to get any grades in her class. Even on the hmw she makes it so difficult. we are here to learn so we should be able to do the hmw as many times as we like without being scared of losing points. this class was given virtually because of covid-19 and her tests don't have enough time on them to answere
Dr Watson has no mercy when grading or giving time for exams. She has 3 tests per test period and there is no time to study for her test given the amount of homework she has. there are about 3 to 5 days between exams and she doesn't answer emails or questions. her extra credit is only one point per 35-40 questions and you might not get the point.
I took this class during the pandemic and she gives 2 options for testing one of the options include her turning on your computer camera and gives you more time to test while the other option has no time at all. basically she just wants to catch cheaters and doesn't care if you learn a thing and there is 3-5 days between tests so no time to study.
I hate this professor. she doesn't care about her students at all. all she wants is to make sure people don't cheat during tests. you can't pass the exam unless you take it with a camera on which is unethical in my opinion. she gives soo much hw and you can't finish it within the time frame given. I can't believe people are still registering at her
She is so mean and grades you so hard. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS YOU WILL REGRET IT
i was a little hesitant to take this professor after i read her reviews but im really glad did because she ACTUALLY helped & if you do the work, you're golden. she offers a lot of optional assignments that count as extra credit & overall just does everything to help you learn the material AND get a good grade. i was honestly amazed she's great
To do well in her class, develop a personal relationship with her. A&P is not a class you can float through. Expect to study 3 hours per every 1 hour of class. I took this as a 6 wk course. We had exams every week. I studied non-stop. She gladly met with me after the exam so that I could argue every question, even the ones I got right.
I was super frustrated in this class because no matter how hard I try and study I cannot do good on test. But Professor Watson helped me tremendously!
Professor Watson gives exams every week on her online class but it actually is helpful with dividing up the material. She makes this hard subject seem easier to learn. Really glad I took her.
She's an excellent professor, honestly. She was my favorite when I took A&P. She explains things really well, but you definitely need to read the material beforehand, or you might get lost. Pay attention, do your homework, and follow her instructions, and you'll pass the class.
