Regina is awesome! She takes a subject that is miserable and makes it fun and interesting. I was dreading taking Writing, but since it is required, I had to. She has made this class one of my favorites!

This class was really great. Just a few papers to write, and the reading isnt that bad at all. Conversations during class were awesome too, which made the class go by fast. You should definitly take this professor, she is really nice and wicked cool.

Awesome teacher, there are 4 papers to write about anything you want and then at the end there is a reasearch paper on any topic you choose. She is very helpful letting you know what you need to work on and very understanding. Great Class!

She was such an awesome teacher. 4 papers in which she increases the length slowly, and then finally a research paper. Her discussions are great, and you really get into the class. You have readings but they are not bad! Definitly take her!!

what the hell? she was nice to me all semester, gave me As and Bs for grades, and then slapped me with a C+ at the end of the term. I really want to hate her but she was so nice. I feel betrayed. If she starts blowing smoke up your ass, you should be carefull.

Writing 102 was definitely one of my best classes. Professor Daus-Haberle is totally committed to helping her students. If you put in the effort, she'll meet you more than half way.She is very clear.The assignments are easy to understand, and she understands that students are people with real lives, so she is flexible when necessary.Great prof!

Professor Daus-Haberle has been my favorite prof too. She's cool. she really helped my writing and she is funny and nice. I worked hard, went to her office hours, and she gave me good advice. I've even gone back to talk to her after the semester was over, and she helped me with my history papers too.I definitely recommend her! She's the best!!

Regina is a perfect english teacher! She will help you succeed in your writing. She knows that everyone is not perfect and is not committed to the attendance policy, but show up- it's worth it. She has you write papers that are easy, and hardly any quizes, and no final. TAKE HER CLASS.

This was my favorite class. Prof. D-H is laid back but gives great advice and really likes the students. She understands that we have real lives and is really nice. The class got along great too. I made some good friends while doing our editing. The reading load is light and the writing is constant but fair. I definitely recommend this class!

Class wasn't terribly challenging but included several quizzes, 8 reader responses, 1 class leading thing, along with i think 3 major papers. Seemed like a nice lady and the work wasn't too challenging but once in a while she would randomly bomb one of my papers that I felt had the same quality as the rest of my work.

Awesome teacher. I had her last semester, and she greatly improved my writing skills. She also asks you to think about important issues. She really knows what she's doing and really likes teaching. It's clear that you get what you put in. I worked hard, talked to her about my work, did the reading, and I got a good grade in the class.Def take!

Took this professor for my seminar class. Loved her so much taking it again for Engl 102. By far my favorite professor here so far. Improves your writing. Challenging, but doable. Cares greatly about her students. Wonderful professor. Take this class.

I have her for Writing I and I love her teaching style. She really wants you to do the best you can do. She lets you edit your papers and calculates the two grades together. She does a lot of group work. There is writing in class every day but it's not graded and it's not overwhelming. I highly recommend her.

Take this Professor if you can, she is the nicest, and most helpful teacher you could hope for. She is such a sweetheart, I highly recommend her! She loves when people participate. The work load is easily manageable. There are 5 papers, and quite a few reasonable, short readings. If you do the work, go to class, and participate, you are golden.

Most organized and specific professor I have ever had. She knows exactly what she wants from you and gives you all the direction you need. Class is heavy in both reading and writing but its easily manageable. You have to go to class and she will answer any and all questions you have about the course. Very nice lady!

Professor D-H was an amazing professor. Great instruction, her assignments were enjoyable, incredibly reasonable and kind lady. She's a really encouraging professor. I decided on becoming an English major after taking her class. I wish she taught upper-level classes so I could take her again.

She's very interested in English and will teach you a lot. There are only 4 essays and you have many chances to revise them. She is willing to help her students to get a better grade. She is a tough grader and class is pretty mandatory but the class is worth it! You will absolutely learn how to be a better writer and get so much out of the class.

If you're not pleased with a grade on a paper she allows you to edit it and gain extra points Longest paper is 6 pages which is the final research paper that counts as the final take her course you won't regret it

I loved having her as a professor! The only real homework was writing Reader Responses (only need to do 8 for a semester). I thought she was a pretty fair grader. She sometimes gives pop quizzes. She is VERY sweet & helpful. I wanted to take her for ENGL102, but she only had an 8AM class.

Professor D-H is a wonderful teacher and person. She truly wants all of her students to succeed. She assigns 3 essays throughout the semester, all of which you will have the chance to peer edit during class and even rewrite it for a better grade after it is already graded. She gives short readings and super easy pop quizzes. Such a genuine person

Prof. Daus-Haberle was the most caring, intelligent, and helpful professor I have encountered. She's very clear on assignments, and takes the time to explain each one and receive any feed back from students. I was having personal issues the semester I had her, she understood and cared. She was there to talk to and to listen.

She is an amazing professor she's a really sweet, caring person. All she asks is for students to try hard and she will help you along the way. She is always willing to listen to her students when they have problems. I would take her class again in a heart beat.

She's a genuine person but her class/teaching style is kind of weird. She spends WAY too long explaining things and the papers are kind of basic. The only paper that was tough was the last one, the others were personal papers. She's very passionate and loves her job, and she's professional. Easy A if you just do the work and revise your papers!!

Easily one of the most intelligent and thoughtful professors at BSU. I"m a junior English major, and Prof. D-H sets high standards and helps her students achieve them. What's more she really cares about students learning. The most useful English course I've taken. I'd take her again.

I hate english but with Prof DH I really enjoyed the class. She has short reading assignments close to every class followed by pop quizzes. 4 papers throughout the semester. first 3 are easy to write because you pick what you want to write about. 4th paper is a research paper and there are many steps so you aren't over whelmed. Deff recommend her!!

In this course, we read a plays, essays, a novella, and a novel. Prof. D-H is challenging and clearly knows her stuff. Plus, she really cares about the students. We read a lot, but it's totally worth it. I've never looked at literature in this way. I may be an English major thanks to this class. A fair amount of work. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND!!!

She is AMAZING! I learned so much in this class. We had to read novels and write essays on them. Class participation is a must and gets you out of your comfort zone. She is a tough grader, but gives such helpful feedback and gives you a chance to re-write for a better grade. I would take her class again in a second! She really cares about success!

Prof. D-H filled in for this class towards the middle of the semester and she was great! She is a moderately tough grader, but as long as you participate in class, and do and revise the papers she assigns, you should be fine. She's very approachable, and it is obvious that she wants her students to really improve their writing. I recommend!

Had professor Daus-Haberle for ENGL102 and she was easily the best professor I had that semester. She assigns 16 one page reader responses over the semester (of which you only are responsible for completing 8), and if you do more you get extra credit. There are 4 essays throughout the semester with easy prompts. She's very kind and understanding!

Such a great english professor! I felt like I actually learned from her. The work she assigns is very manageable. She doesn't require you to buy the textbook, you are able to google all her assigned readings and bring a printed version to class. All the readings are short too which is a plus!

Professor Daus-Haberle is so kind and genuine. She genuinely cares about getting to know each student and helping them to improve. There are nightly assignments with reading then brief responses, and some days there will be a pop quiz on them

So so amazing. Would take so many classes with her. So easy to pass if you simply go to class and do he few assignments. Only 4 essays and in class workshops one every single one so it's not hard to get a good grade. Weekly readings that are simple and easy to read with occasional pop quizzes or reader responses.

I've learned more about writing from her than I have from anyone else. Her expectations are super clear and her comments helped me understand alot about how I should revise. She allows revisions for everything except the final paper. Tough, but fair and really really nice. Also made friends with other students in workshops and small groups!

Really great professor, lots of class conversation, quizzes on the readings frequently, at least one essay written per book read, whole class is based on novels read, writing about them, being quizzed on them, and discussing them as a class. I enjoy writing and never read books in high school but ended up enjoying reading for this class.

Highly recommend! The textbook is helpful but not necessary as readings can be found on the internet. She assigns readings for most classes and be prepared for pop quizzes on the readings! The pop quizzes are nothing to worry about as long as you read what was given for homework. Her class has taught me a lot and she is a caring professor!

Really great professor helped me with papers but giving time in class to check them and peer edit. Her feedback was super helpful and helped me grow as a writer.

Took her in the Fall of 2019. Amazing person and super caring about each student. She gives opportunities to fix mistakes and really helped me become a better writer. The readings for the most part were interesting and she gives you the chance to participate.

She is one of the best professors I have had At BSU. she is a tough grader but allows you to fix your mistakes. She was a lot caring and more understanding about this whole covid situation then anyone else. she knows online learning is not for everyone and she just over all is an amazing professor, isn't just in it for the money.

She is a self admitted difficult grader, but is fair. The 1st essay is from a peer interview and is short. The 2nd and 3rd can either be personal essays or about the readings. The final essay is research - about 6-7 pages long. There are readings for just about every class with the option of a page response. She loves group work and participation

Professor Daus-Haberle was an absolute delight. She was so sweet and was understanding, always giving extensions and revisions due to the pandemic and noticing the class was struggling with other courses. If you participate actively, are a good writer, and actually follow the rubric, she'll love you.

Prof. DH is amazing. Her course is four papers and includes one group presentation which worked well to meet other students especially online. She responds to emails quickly and is helpful during office hours. highly reccommend

One of the best professors I've ever had. I took this as an elective and it is my favorite class I have taken in 4 years at BSU. Such a caring professor. Need to resubmit work because you know you can do better? Done, with no penalties. Provides very clear instructions and teaches material you can directly apply to the real world. Highly recommend.

I love her! She is so sweet and a great professor. The textbook is free and you do have a couple assignments from it but she is overall an easy grader if you do the work! one assignment is writing resumes and it was really helpful. Big group project at the end but very doable and gives so much class time to do it. I would recommend her 100%

Loved this course. We read five good books about families and wrote four papers. Prof DH expects everyone to do the reading but she's super nice and supportive. She taught me how to write in a way that made sense. She allows revisions for better grades on the first three essays. If you are having a hard time, talk to her! Def take!

Professor Daus is super caring and easygoing! She is such a great person, but don't take advantage of her kindness! Communication is KEY! There are a few reader responses due before class, as well as a PowerPoint presentation and a group project. As long as you get your work done, it should be an easy A.

The BEST teacher I've had so far at BSU and I'm now a junior. She actually cares if people show up and do the work which pisses some people off. She totally helped me out through the toughest semester of my life. Taking her next semester and cant wait.

Great professor, definitely recommend taking a class with her. ENGL202 is an easy class if you do the work. The different assignments felt far more practical and applicable to the real world than most classes. The pace of the class can feel a little slow at times, but overall it was a very interesting and enjoyable class.

Regina is a fantastic professor - she pushes you to improve as a writer, but is also incredibly helpful and understanding. Using unstuckstudy along with the textbook really helped me succeed in the class.

Great professor overall. Can tell she enjoys teaching, but is super kind and understanding. She has a very specific syllabus, but it isn't hard to follow. The class can be a lot of work, but it's easy. There is a lot of group work and sharing to the class, but she takes her time and listens to each student. Would recommend.
