She is a really nice women and a good teacher... but to be honest this class is way too easy. If you have to take a literature class and want an easy A, then this is the class for you. I am a guy and thought that "Women in Literature" sounded awful. But it was by far the easiest class I have taken at PBSC in my 2 years.

Very nice professor. She LOVES to talk (with emphasis on the love part) but she is very interesting. Just pay attention in class, take your time on the essays and you will pass with flying colors. She does use the books a lot so I would encourage to get both. Loves to teach and will not let you fail. She also shows movies in class :)

This class is pretty easy. She doesnt give tests or quizes. She gives about 7 take home papers throughout the semester and if you turn in all of those you will have no problem. She is kinda boring and talks alot, but she is very helpful.

Sweetest lady ever.Does take long to get your papers back but if you didn't turn paper in on time she still gives you full credit. No test no quizzes 2 research papers 600 words & 3 little papers 500 words half of us did it before class.Simple class. Your midterm was a take home write an essay on article. She is little boring but what class isn't

She is a very nice lady, but she's very soft spoken. You have to attend class daily and participate. There's about 5 home essay papers and a mini research paper at the very end of the class. She will help you and will explain herself if you think something's wrong on your paper. Her mid term and finals are take home. Easy class!!

I found Dr. Dilgen passionate and very knowledgeable. She was more than fair in terms of given/graded assignments. Her curriculum was well paced and informative. This is an important class if you want to be a serious scholar (student), for the purposes of research and written academic works. I will take her again if the opportunity presents itself!

this class is so easy, if you dont have trouble writing. there are no test, just essays. the essays are based on readings. very simple. you have a journal , in class essays, take home midterm and final essay, and one 1000 word research paper or 15 minute speech. so easy. will basically give you thesis and all info you could need to succeed

Dr. Dilgen is one of the sweetest professors I know! She goes above and beyond to help out her students. Seriously, she is so understanding it crazy! There is a lot of writing assignments but they are usually good topics to write on. Just be prepared to write A LOT. But by the end of the semester, you should learn some good stuff.

Professor Dilgen encourages class discussion and participation. Get ready for a lot of writing and thinking. Professor DIlgen is not out to get you, she's helpful and available during office hours if you need it but don't take this class if writing is very difficult for you.

The BEST professor you can every take for an easy A!!! She goes above and beyond her means to help you. If you fail her class then you were not paying enough attention. I wish she was teaching ENC-1102

There was not one person in that class who had anything to say negatively about her. Write from your heart and you'll earn an A. I will be taking her again!

Professor Dilgen's english class was incredibly easy. I went to a very good high school so for me this class was like my 12th or even 11th grade english class. Very, very simple and she helps you out a lot if you need it. There are several essays and several in class writing assignments. She is incredibly kind and clear with instructions.

Professor Dilgen is the sweetest professor I've had. She is so understanding if you need to miss class and she grades assignments and papers within a timely manner. Some of her work gets tedious but if you show you are trying and complete her assignments you will pass with an A no problem!

Her class is easy, and she's really sweet and understanding. Just make sure to read your assigned readings and journal entries. There's 3 in class essays and the midterm and final are take home. All she looks for is effort in the papers and you'll pass. I hate writing and suck at it but I passed her writing assignments with A's

I wish I could take her again! This was the easiest class I've ever had. She is very sweet, understanding, and fair grader. Assigns about 5-6 essays and you can write them on any topic you want. As long as you show some effort, you'll pass! Bring textbook everyday. she ended class early a lot too.

There is one research paper, but she gives you the resources for you to get a good grade on it. Missed a couple days of her class and she still catched me up to speed every time. Would take her for ENC1102 if I had the chance !

Very sweet lady, her lectures can be boring but she gives you all the information you need to pass the class. She's not a very tough grader and you should be fine as long as she sees improvement in your writing and you make the word limit. You only have to write about 4 papers as well.

The textbook is cheap to rent and the readings she assigns are interesting. If you want to learn about awesome women from an awesome woman, this is the class for you!

Well, let me tell you something fellow students. Those bad comments are from students who have enough audacity to ignore the fact that they have no writing skills whatsoever.

Wonderful class to take if you need an easy period but also if youre quite passionate about the topic. She is dedicated and knowledgeable about what she teaches. Shes open to every interpretation from all students and is very good at what she does. I cant imagine taking this class with any other professor.

Honestly, she is if not the nicest professor I have ever taken. I couldn't have asked for a better professor. I learned so much from this class. She has a total of 3 in-class essays, she is not a tough grader. She does have you read things from the book before class so that you have idea of what you will be talking about in class.

By far one of the best professors to me, you can lay back and relax but still put forth the effort in her class, well balanced work. Don't sit in the back because she has a very low and monotonous voice. She makes learning about writers and poets actually interesting. She's always calling on students to share their input on what we learn.

Professor Dilgen is amazing! Her class itself isn't difficult nor is it content filled. And she also sticks to the syllabus she hands out on the first day. Overall a great professor, a slight quirk would be that the class does tend to drag a little sometimes

The best professor ever! No hw except for journal entries. Write a few essays in class and do one research paper. Passionate about literature and shows a lot of films about the short stories. Very caring, sweet, and truly wants you to pass. No final exam, the "tests" are the three in-class essays. Allowed to use book and notes on essays. Easy A!!

She was a sweet and amazing professor. No class work except a couple easy in class essays but if you listen to the class discussions, have your notes and textbook it should be easy. She's great. Really cares about her students. Understands you have a life out of class. Responds to emails in a timely matter.

Love her. Barely showed up to class because she gave us a schedule with everything she wants us to turn in and when. Sweetest teacher, will help you if needed. Do yourself a favor and take her. I finished all her assignments in two weeks and would just hand them in when they were due. cake.

Prof Dilgen was seriously the best prof I have taken. I'm in my second year now and I still think about her lol. She was SO caring & I never once felt left behind. The rare case that I didn't understand something she was trying say, she was quick to help and not stop until I completely understood. Very organized and also a very understanding person

The sweetest prof I've ever had. She knows so much about the works and the authors and made the class really interesting. I normally don't like reading for fun, especially classics, but this made me love them. She wrote me 4 letters of recommendation too which was so nice. Easy grader too, as long as you follow the instructions. Totally recommend!
