Ms Falconer makes a great effort to get the material across to her students. She is friendly, helpful, and this is my favorite class. If you attend class, and study, you'll succeed.
she is one of the easiest teachers that i have had. she is very helpful and nice. before a test she informs the class of eveything they need to know. sometimes she can get a bit off subject but overall she is great. i would definately take her again
If you dont listen, you wont understand. As long as you go to class, do the super easy homework, attend lab, and listen to her, youll have no problems. I never studied and still managed a B. Her lectures can get a bit confusing, but if you listen youll understand why she goes off so much. Her banter is sometimes on the tests so don't daydream!
she is a great teacher, I definitly reccomend to take her. If you pay attention, and go to class you will do fine. If you listen to her lectures she tells you what is on the exams, and but her lectures can be confusing!
SHE'S REALLY EASY N A COOL TEACHER...JUS NEED 2 PAY ATTENTION N NOT MISS CLASS...RATHER HAVE HER THEN NE1 ELSE IN THA DEPARTMENT =-)
Great teacher. I learned a lot in this class. She gives you everything that will be on the test, but study and take notes. Even the little stuff will be on the test. She gives excellent review sheets for the test. Anyone can get an A if they try.
The BEST teacher ever! Very clear about what to study for & teaches all that she has to but stresses what you need to know. Gives lots of chances for bonus pts. If you do the hmwk and study notes you'll get an A easily. However, you MUST attend all classes/labs or you may miss out on pertent info. GREAT TEACHER! Too bad she doesn't teach A&P I/II.
LOVE THIS TEACHER! She's amazing. She gives you everything you need, you just have to put forth a little effort and STUDY. Lots of chances for extra credit. If you don't get an A/B in this class, you have NOT tried at all. Don't miss lecture/lab. She talks a lot, but she's interesting and corny sometimes. Best teacher I've ever had.
AWESOME teacher, one of the best ever. She is genuinely interested in helping u learn and makes sure all concepts are clear. Goes over EVERYTHING you need to know for tests. even if you dont like the class, you will learn a lot, u just cant help it, she makes it interesting and relates everything back to the everyday world. EASY A. Just study.
EXCELLENT PROFESSOR!!! IF YOU STUDY THE MATERIAL SHE TEACHES, YOU WILL DO WELL!!! I ABSOLUTELY LEARNED ALOT AND ENJOYED HER CLASS AT THE SAME TIME!!! MRS. FALCONER IS DEFINATELY AN ASSET TO THE SCIENCE FIELD...SHE IS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGABLE.
Professor Falconer, is very smart in her field and knows her stuff. But on the down side she doesn't know how to teach. She's very fast in her lectures, doesn't spend lot's of time explaining things and always seems to be in a rush. Shes a great person, funny, smart and cute. I passed the class but it's only because she tells you exactly what will
She was awesome, i was so worried about taking this class, but she made it great. She gives great study guides, and lots of extra credit, just make sure you review the book for the tests because she can forget to answer or not answer something clear enough. Other than that she is a great teacher! Take her, i got a 96% in her class
At first I was scared to take this class, but if you study you will succeed. No multiple choice though, so be prepared to write long answers on your tests. Homework very easy, long but easy. Just work hard.
GREAT teacher....absolutly loved her! If you show up for class and lab for lectures its a very easy class. I never even studied my notes because her lect. were so good and in-depth. Very helpful if you ask for it. Def. take this teacher.
umm shes ok not the best to take take liz ingram shes way better, had c in class very unclear didnt use book much everything in notes, gives extra credit, labs easy, test no multi long long answers given right everything u know or will get no credit take someone else un less u are a person who doesnt need to study and is very smart
Best teacher I have ever taken. Pay attention and do the homework and u will have no problem. Gives extra credit and a study sheet for each test. She is determined to make sure you understand the subject and will help in any way. Got an A in her class with some studying. Super nice lady but doesn't like lazy students, you have to do the work.
Falconer is a cool lady, funny and smart. Her class isnt easy, but any one can pass. Written essay exams and lab pracs, 3 HWK . Lets you know what will be on the exam/lab pracs . Key to passing is taking all the notes notes, studying the notes, knowing what is going to be asked on the exams or lab pracs and showing up to class and lab every day.
very great teacher, especially if science isn't your thing, she makes it make sense. a little flighty but it keeps you alert.
BEST TEACHER EVER!!! Prof Falconer is absolutely the best. She preps you for every test and gives you everything you need to pass easily. If you do the homework and come to class you will pass no problem. I did a little studying and got a 98% in her class. Took her for Micro too and would have taken her for A&P II if she was teaching it in the Sprg
GREAT TEACHER..IF YOU PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS, TAKE GOOD NOTES AND DO HOMEWORK AND STUDY YOU WILL GET A A++++ ..SHE GIVES ALL THE QUESTIONS THAT WILL BE ON THE TEST U JUST HAVE TO STUDY..A+++
She is a fantastic professor. I wish she were teaching Micro next semester. I am so glad I've had her for A&P I and A&P II. She doesn't put up with stupid questions, because she tells it like it is... you just have to pay attention to know what to expect. She definitely loves science, and loves what she does. I'll miss her next semester.
She is awesome!!! She gives you exactly what is asked on each test, ALOT of memorization. If you have 93% after the lab final, you are exempt for the lecture final. She's alot of fun and insures that you know the material.
Often scattered. Disorganized. Same lecture material over/over. Materials seem thrown together. Preoccupied. Memorizing her material is important to pass. Book was never used. Lab points on attendance. 93% exempts final. 3 HW. 3 tests. 2 practicals. Try Dorn, Ingram, Smith for A&P knowledge. Falconer for memorization skill.
This is the worse teacher I ever had in my life. YES, she is nice, but she can not teach. She is not organize at all, she does not take her time to prepare for her classes. What waste your money taking her class.
She's a great teacher. Only three tests, three HW, if you are good at memorizing then she's super easy and you'll get exempt from the final with a 93%. Lab counts for 20 points every week, so it's not good to miss. Extra credit is on every test.
Ifyou want an A and can memorize things easily take Falconer. That is not a bad thing that all she does is memorization, it does get annoying after a while, but hey you can pass tests with it right. Shes also disorganized during lectures , but its not impossible to learn if it bothers you take someone else, if you need a good gpa, take Falconer.

Prof Falconer is the best science teacher I ever had. She is an easy A and really knows her stuff. If science is not your thing she might be difficult to understand in lectures but she gives you everything for the quizzes and tests to memorize. I recommend her to anyone.
Although she is a nice person, I would recommend taking a different professor for biology 1 just because you really do need a good foundation for biology 2 and she isn't the one to do that. Apply yourself and you will do alright.

She's awesome I took her for A&P I & II if you're going into health care field she's the one to take. Although tests are all essay format it's worth it b/c you learn! She explains everything so simple too which helps a lot. I could memorize info for tests in a couple of days, 1-2 hrs/day. if you want to SLACK off & just get through A&P, dont take!
Best teacher ever. Took her for bio1010c,anatomy I&II
Dr. Falconer is someone that likes what she is doing. She is very passionate! She might be a little disorganized but she is an amazing teacher. Fundamentals of Bio is a hard class if you are not into Biology, If you like Biology and Bio is your major or something similar you will love her. She reviews for the tests and gives reviews. TAKE HER!
Probably the worst teacher I have had to stick with an entire semester. Very unorganized and scatterbrained, starts talking about a subject and changes mid discussion. All tests are long answer questions and you have to put exactly what she TELLS you, exact words, not what the book says. It would be easy, but reviews are totally unorganized. BAD
Homeworks are so easy because she gives you the answers, but the tests are extremely stressful if you are not a good memorizer of paragraphs and paragraphs of words that she gives you as well. She's very scattered brained and unorganized. But she's funny and nice. If you don't have a good A&P1 background, don't take, because you'll be lost.
Falconer is a great teacher, i learned alot from her. She gives 4 exams that are all essay, but she gives a review sheet with everything you need to know on it. You can get an easy A if you stufy, (i did it with a 3 m onth old). Lab is easy too. U dont have to take the final as long as u have a 93% in the class. Take her if u r good at memorizing.
This is not an easy class but she is very helpful.Much memorizing is required b/c her tests are essay.Test #2 is the worst so dont slack on studying. No multiple choice on the tests but there are drawings to complete and diagrams to fill in. Attendance not req. for lecture but counts as a grade for the lab portion. No final if u have 93%.
Side note about her final, since most people will end up just a few points off...she will not let u slide on the final. It was a combination of all the hardest questions we had from all the previous tests. Each question was about 5 points and there were about 11 long essay questions. ...kinda felt set up for failure with the final.
Falconer is the best teacher you could have for Anatomy Physiology. I strongly recommend her for all science related major students. One must make sure he or she studies. Yes it is true if one has a 93% no final is required. THe best professor ever.
wow - what a ride - this is the best professor I have ever had in my life! She cares about students, she cares to teach and she tries hard. She explains everything and on top of it all she is funny. I HOPE to get into her anatomy II. I look forward to every class and lab. In lab she lets us study and than tests us orally. Love her!!!
Great professor! Can be a little scattered with info, so you may have to ask the same question twice. LOTS of studying required, tests are essay format. 3 lecture tests, 1 lab practical midterm, lab practical final & 3 homework assignments. Don't have to take the lecture final if you have a 93%. Dry sense of humor, but she means no harm! Got an A+!
THE GOOD:Not a lot of homework so u'l have some time in your hands in between classes. labs are super easy. She gives a lot of easy pts so it's pretty hard to fail. THE BAD: u'l have to memorize about five pages of stuff for each test(some word for word). test reviews sheet are so unorganized kind of like her thoughts. has a need to be in control.
prof falconer is awsome, took her for biology and A&P 1. just take all notes, and review what she tells you, easy labs, as long as you have a brain, you can do very well in her class.if you keep your grade up in the beginnig of semester, at the end it is not hard to keep that A!!!!!!!
Take her! you learn so much! Yes you have to work for it an study. Not easy A but when you earn that A makes you feel great! I got a B in biology and then took her and had 99% until the end. Just take all of the notes and dont skip class. She will answer your question but she will try to get you to answer it yourself first.
Falconer isn't the easiest teacher but I highly recommend her. She knows what she's teaching, lives it, and breathes it. If you aren't good at memorizing paragraphs of INFO...DONT TAKE HER. Otherwise, all you have to do is memorize information because she tells you EXACTLY what is going to be on the test. She's very clear. I loved her :)
AWESOME TEACHER! TAKE HER YOU WILL LEARN A LOT FROM HER, BUT IF YOU ARE LAZY DON'T EVEN BOTHER YOU GET AND F.SHE WILL GIVE YOU A STUDY GUIDE. THE TEST IS EXACTLY AS THE STUDY GUIDE.GIVE YOU EXTRA CREDIT AND IF YOU GET 92 BEFORE FINAL YOU DON'T NEED TO TAKE IT! AND BELIEVE ME THAT IS A BIG RELIEF. YOU WILL GET AN A! IF YOU STUDY.HER CLASS IS NOT HAR
Oh my hell this professor is so exact she does not offer extra credit to her students nor does she care if they pass or fail she grades so hard and wants word for word. She is extremely scattered and unorganized.I think she even has favorites. She does not give a second chance if you did bad on a home work which is very unreasonable. And gives 4 essay
Professor Falconer is awesome. I highly recommend her. You MUST study for this class but if you do so you're sure to pass. Minimal homework. She will give you a study guide for the test which includes the questions AND answers, but all of the questions are essay questions and there is a lot of information. Both practicals are easy if you study.
Professor Falconer is a wonderul science teacher full of information to share with her students. She jokes a lot about her family and demonstrates real life situations with the subject .Its true she is a scatter box but she knows her stuff. Extra credit is given on test and some oral quizzes. You come to class, you pass ! I passed with a B!
This is the best professor I have ever had in USA! She cares about students, she cares to teach and she tries hard. She explains everything and on top of it all she is funny. In lab she lets us study and than tests us orally. If you want to learn anatomy and physiology well take her.Love her!!!
Awesome prof! Essay tests, but gives you study guide with answers to study. 3 hw assignments, 3 tests, 2 practicals. Uses real life situations and relates to info learned. Funny, but a little scattered. Labs are easy and awesome. She teaches in a way to make sure that you learn. You can't be lazy and get an A, but it's not hard to earn that A!
she's knows her stuff but she's not helpful. she's need to be a little more helpful.i felt like she got easily annoyed by questions i wouldn't recommend her . her test are very hard and long essays questions. the only thing i like where her easy labs.
she's amazing! she can be a bit sarcastic at times but she's a great teacher that makes you know the material and prepares you for the med. field. I would take her again! You can get an A or a B manageable! Her notes and reviews is whats on the tests (tests are not mul choice) all short answers. Lab practicals are easy.
Professor Falconer is a great teacher. She is not very multi- tasked but that's more humorous than anything. She gives quizzes every lab but gives you the questions and answers before time. She gives a great review sheet for the tests. There are 3 tests, 33ques and 4 essays. It's really not that bad.She gives all tests back...cont
and gives you the right answers. You keep all of your tests and study them for final. She literally copy and paste your past test for the final and no essays on the final. The Lab practical was really easy. She is helpful if you ask,so just speak up.Really liked her would recommend taking her.
great teacher. She provides you the information you need for exams, provides review sheets for exams/quizzes. Yes, you have to study. If you miss lab, you miss points, no messing around; she doesn't drop lowest scores and she doesn't round up, you earn what you earn in grades! but has good sense of humor and would take her again.
She is a really strict professor who knows her stuff. If you take her, you MUST have some background of biology. Labs are easy. You go to lab, take a oral quiz, and check out when she says you can leave. Tests are essay based, but she gives a study guide prior to the test (everything on the study guid is on the test)
Mrs. Falconer is a GREAT teacher. As long as you pay attention and go to class you should do fine. You DO have to study as all her tests are essay form, but she gives you EXACTLY what to put. She uses real-life experiences to make you learn the subject matter and is ALWAYS willing to help. As long as you attend class and study you should get an A.
You have an oral quiz every-single lab! However, her homework is very easy, she gives you the answers and some will be in the book. So yes buy the book! Gives you a study guide, with everything that's going to be on the each of the tests.3 hw, 3 test, 2 lab practicals. If you have a 93% or higher after 2nd lab practical you will be exempt from the final. You learn with this lady, she makes you work hard, she knows you are capable of it. Learned a lot. I'm taking her for BSC 2094c :)
She is all over the place when she teaches, not much structure. Rambles on about random stuff that is irrelevant. Her tests are essay style and if you don't put the EXACT words she wants, you get the entire question wrong even if the concept is right. She does know a lot about the subject but she's just not a great teacher. Very unorganized.
Horrble. Her test are essay form and really long, even though she gives you the exact essay thats gonna be on the test if you dont write it word for word you get the whole thing wrong. The labs are easy but on the lab practical final none of the info she said was gonna be on there was actually on there. She also hates questions so dont ask any.
I took her for A&P I and loved it! I took her for A&P II and im regretting it!!! Her essays are page long (unlike A&P I). Her LP1 was easy (the study guide is most of it) but her LP2 sucked none of the infomation she said was going to be in it was actually there. 3 test and 2 LP's and a (very difficult) final! Earn a 93% after LP2 and skip final!!!
so. much. memorizing! that's the only way to describe her class. I got an A, but i literally killed myself having to memorize long paragraphs with run on sentences. truly and indefinitely an exhausting course. i learned a lot, but i'll for sure be taking someone else for A&P II. good luck!
She's awesome! I don't know what everyone is complaining about "too much memorizing"; it's not that much. Besides it's stuff you need to know in the clinic setting. Her humor is hilarious and keeps the class lively. As for the work load, there are only 3 HW assignments and a few easy worksheets. I definitely would recommend her! (Got an A+)
She is awesome. I took her while taking 3 other classes. She is not hard at all her purpose is to make u understand not just memorize for the test. She give extra credit on her tests except the final. If your grade at the end of the semester is above 92 she exempts you from the final. I would recommend her for any one. I am taking her for A&P 2
I took her for AP1 and AP2. I love having her as a teacher. Their is a lot of reading and memorizing but it really isn't that hard to memorize, FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS... They are essays on the test, but also easy quizzes. If you get an 93 percent average by the end of the semester, you will be happy, for many reasons. :)
If you want an education, take her. She is awesome and too funny; you will learn great facts from her sarcastic humor. Always enjoyed going to class. The people who are complaining are probably lazy. Oh yeah and she doesn't "hate questions," she just will call you out on your BS if you're sounding incorrect or like an idiot. Constructive criticism
Absolutely loved taking this class. She makes sure you understand why you are learning information and she gives you most of the information for the tests, and you just have to memorize it. You can be exempt from the final if you get higher than a 92 throughout the semester and it's not that hard to obtain! def take her
Definitely one of the best professors I have ever had in all my years of schooling. She loves teaching and you can learn a lot specially if you are going into nursing. 3 test, I scored A in all of them. 2 lab practicals, I got an A in the first and a B in the lab final. I was exempt from the final class exam obtaining a 98 in the class.
Love her and her teaching style. Exams are simple as long as you study - she tells you the answers ahead of time. All essay and diagram format. Not much HW. Always enjoyed going to class bc she makes it genuinely interesting. Can't recommend her enough.
This class does not have a good structure. She teaches randomly. She does not assign a certain book, and she skips around in chapters. Please DO NOT take!! Also, she NEVER responds to e-mails! I wish I knew what I now know about this class. I am constantly lost and do not know what to study.
Took her for A&P 1 and 2 if you want to pass I definitely recommend her. Take down everything she says. The homework is from the notes in class and she gives you all the answers to the test beforehand. Just write down the exact answer she gives you no shortcuts
She has a very expansive knowledge about her subject and is clearly enthusiastic about teaching it. Her teaching methodology is also excellent; she has a very effective way of conveying information. Yes, there is a quite a bit of memorization but this is the nature of these scientific subjects.I took 2 of her classes and would take her again.
GREAT TEACHER but MEMORIZE MEMORIZE!!! tests=no multiple choice. She gives you a study guide with everything for the test.if you can memorize 4 paragraphs(about 30 facts)WORD FOR WORD on tests you will easily get an A.If you cant memorize, do NOT take her
I disliked her teaching style (jumping from topics) & the amount of memorizing was nerve-racking but in the end I learned a lot. I managed an A while taking a full load (so it is do-able just need to put the time & effort) Study hard for LPs.. some of the information on the study guid isn't on the test & vise versa SO PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS.
LOTS of memorizing. After writing out everything I needed each test, I had about 4 pages of complete memorizing (front and back). If you're not good at grammar and can't memorize word for word, I would advise a professor that offers multiple choice exams. She's very specific about wording. I can memorize so I did well, but it is stressful.
Yes these are essay tests but for me, I would rather have tests where the answers are provided for me and its up to me to studymemorize it than study a textbook aimlessly and hope you studied enough. She gives you EVERYTHING that is on the tests and you just show up to the test and go crazy writing it all down. Pretty interesting lectures as well.
If you are good at memorizing pages of information, then take her. However, her lab practical's are awful. She provides a study guide for them and then has many additional questions that were not on the study guide. Lectures are awful, she veers off course too many times, so you don't know what to write down. I would not recommend her at all.
I took her for A&P 1 and A&P 2 and this class is very hard! it requires alot of memorization! you have to memorize pages of information with full body paragraphs! having her for A&P 1 was okay but for A&P 2 it become way too much and for the lab pratical not everything you study will be on it, i got an A for A& P 1 and 2 so its possible but hard.
I recieved an A+ and did not have to take the final. But I worked extremely hard for it. The class is all memorization. No multiple choice. She gives you the answers to he test questions so just memorize the paragraph answers. She's very funny, always had me laughing. Labs are intimidating because there are oral quizzes. But they're easy to pass.
She is very knowledgeable but goes off on unrelated tangents during class very confusing. Asking for help consists of having to read your answer to her and demeaned by her before she corrects you. She teaches to the test but she wants a very specific response. Reword it even slightly and it is wrong. You only get one makeup of either HW/Tests.
great professor
terrible professor !! that's all Im going to say. I still received an A+ but I wouldn't recommend her at ALLLLL.
At first Professor Falconers class was very tough. But once the first 4 classes you should get the hang of it. Her tests are based off memorization. You have to remember a lot but if you just take time to study the information it is not so bad. Also, if your grade is a 93 or higher before the final she will dismiss you from the final.
Falconer was a great choice as a professor! SHe's funny, entertaining and always managed to keep me engaged in the lecture. She thinks of little memorization tools that will probably stick with me for the rest of my life. If you're looking for an easy A you shouldn't be taking this class in the first place regardless of the professor. TAKE HER.
Falconer is awesome. She does get a bit off topic at times. Her homework and the notes she tells you to write down are on the test. She basically gives you exactly whats going to be on the test, you just have to memorize (it's a lot though) All in all its straightforward you just have to put the time in. It's A&P so it's going to be hard regardless
She's a good professor. She's very straight forward with what is expected. Her test are essay question BUT she literally gives you the answers on the study guide, it's just up to you to memorize it all. She's pretty funny, never dull lecture. TOUGH grader on hw and tests, study a lot and you will be fine though!
Falconer is a great professor. She is caring and teaches very well. You do have to put in the effort to study for her tests though because they are all essay questions. No multiple choice, but she gives you all the answers. There is a total of 3hws, 3tests, and 2lap pracs. w/ a final which you can be exempt from if you have a 93% at the end.
I learned so much in her A&P 1 / 2 classes. Follow her study guides for tests and exams, and you will pass. If you receive a 93%, you are exempt from her finals (that's how it was for my A&P classes). Do your homework because usually the tests are based off of a good chunk. She gives resources of exactly what she expects for her students to succeed
DONT BUY THE BOOKS, you won't need them. She gives you everything you need to know, but because she does this she expects you to write everything verbatim in the ESSAY exams. This class is a lot of work and Tests are long but not hard if you study with time! You also get exempt from final if you have a 93 in the class. Shes awesome!
A great professor. She clearly tells you what is going to be on the exam because it is the important material to remember in the medical field. Because of this, you are going to have to work and remember it. A great professor and I will take her again.
Professor Falconer was a great professor! She was difficult but she tells you WORD FOR WORD the answers to the tests in class lectures so don't skip. I have never left a review for a professor because I never felt it was worth it but she was amazing. There were 2 lab practicals, 3 tests & 3 hw & if you keep an A in class final is optional!
Falconer is the cream of the crop, the best of the best. She is so caring and such a knowledgeable professor. She's a no nonsense lady but she will help you with whatever you need. This class is a lot of work but it is very worth it and you will never NOT know what she's going to test you on. Also if you get an A you get to skip the final!!
Falconer is a great teacher and lecturer. She will give you funny similarities in order for you to remember names or parts of the body. YOU HAVE TO STUDY IF YOU WANT TO PASS. She gives you a study guide and you have to study long paragraphs and answer it word for word or you will lose points. If you are not great at memorizing info do not take her.
There are oral quizzes at every lab but no one ever fails, she gives lots of hints and she'll let you try again. Her tests are 5 or 10 "essay" questions but she gives you the material to memorize weeks in advance. I don't recommend missing class but you can skip once or twice and be okay. You don't really need the textbooks.
Do not recommend. Lectures, thoughts, behavior are disorganized, scatter-brained, confusing. The material is not difficult but her teaching style is frenetic. It will drive you crazy and you will not enjoy the material or be able to learn it. She makes you memorize her writing and it is not well written, so feel like wasting time and $. Just dont.
Terrible teacher, this teacher is something else and I just had to write a review. She makes you memorize paragraphs for her test since she provides you with the answers so its an easy A, but you have to write exactly what she has or else you lose points. Im not sure I am even gonna remember anything from A&P1, I am sure that Im going to pass tho.
DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR. Let me start out by saying that I am a good student with a high GPA that has never withdrawn from a class. This teacher does not care if you understand the concepts. Inconsistent with grading, subjective, does not test from study guide for practicals. If you are trying to be a nurse, do not take!!
She is really nice. I liked her more over the course of the semester. You either like her teaching style or don't. Tip: raise your hand, ask questions. She will help you out. Make friends with classmates. Our group chat helped. Take good notes in lectures. Lecture info will be on the tests and homework. Memorization skills are key.
First let me she's not a boring professor. She doesn't teach well she expects you to learn but when she assigns so much essays questions for the test you have no choice but to memorize and after the test you forget. Stay away dont believe the reviews you see she rude and fake.
Currently a Nursing student, took her for AP 1/2 and nothing I learned is in the program. She horrible she told me I would never get into the program and Im in it now Thank God...
Worst professor ever! DO NOT TAKE HER. All of her tests are essay questions that you have to memorize word for word. She gives you paragraphs and paragraphs for each answer and if you dont write it down word for word she takes off points. You wont learn anything in this class. Dont do this to yourself, dont take her! Her teaching ways are horrible.
Don't be that student that goes off by reviews and struggle.. yes she gives test answer but they are very long essay questions nothing is mutplie choice so studying will have you stressed out. Labs are intense but doable she discourges you if you dont master it right away. she rude and i'm passing with an "A" but to say i learned thats a lie.
Save yourself & DO NOT TAKE HER. She has her labs where she sent back 10 people to the end of the line because all 10 of them missed one word when they had to memorize 4 paragraphs and say it back to her. She wants her five pages of paragraphs word for word, if you miss-spell words by one letter you lose points, forget to put "so" you lose points
This is a tough class, no matter who you pick. Falconer is an awesome professor who literally gives you the answer to her test questions, the work is done for you. Yes, it's a lot and it requires focus-- but it's not impossible. Offers TONS of extra credit and really wants all her students to succeed. I'm taking her again!
Don't be that student that go by reviews and listen to others, I learned the hard way she gives you the answers however they are essay answers which consists of a lot of time. this class is memorzation not learning. she dont won't to see you win in kodak voice.. she is horrible stay away. most people pass this class cause they have 2 or 3 classes.
Do not take her class. She is honestly not a good professor, she expects you to memorize insanely long paragraphs (that she wrote) word for word to recite on her tests. Has no respect for her students nor does she even consider that take other classes. She makes the class unnecessarily difficult b/c she's very disorganized in the way she teaches.
worst professor every. she discredit you. people who pass this class usually have 2/3 classes so stay away.
DON'T BELIEVE ANYTHING GOOD. She is literally one of my worst nightmares. Her lectures are everywhere and is very unorganized, she can go off topic very quick and then switch back like nothing happened. Class is based off memorization, you're not learning. She treats her students like dummies, don't ask her questions or she'll get slick quick.
Professor Falconer is THE BEST professor I have taken at Valencia. She is so passionate and knowledgeable, it is an absolute joy to be in her class. She gives extremely clear grading criteria, you just really need to put in the work. If you have 93 or above you will be excluded from the final.
Professor falconer goes off topic, rude, don't care for students. Gives answers to test that are long as hell which you memorize not learn. Test are difficult and if you spell incorrect it's automatically wrong. Oral quizzes are easy sometimes but she will discourage you by any means possible. Homework takes forever to get done. Book is not needed.
She ruined my GPA and I'm a straight A student in all the rest of my classes. Her attitude is ugly.
Professor Falconer may not always have organized lectures, but she does care. She gives you everything you need in order to succeed. If you study hard, you can be exempt from the final. Not perfect, no. But not tricky, rude, or unwilling to help as I have noticed many science professor can be. You must do things her way, and if you do, your fine.
Her personality is blunt and her teaching style is a bit different. She gives a lot of information and it's one of the classes you have to study hard for in order to pass the test. 3 homework assignments, Three test that are not multiple choice and requires you to study hard. She gives you all of the answers for everything, you have to study hard
Really amazing teacher! You have to study but if you are taking her class, then the memorization will come in handy!
Worst professor I have ever had. Her exams are ridiculous, everything has to be written down word for word or else she takes off points for the most minimal things. Avoid her if you can. I understand that Anatomy 2 is hard regardless but she makes you memorize a 2 page long essay for nearly every question on the test. Youre not learning anything.
I overall recommend this class. You don't need the textbook. For tests, she gives you all of the questions on a study guide. The only thing is, her tests are not multiple choice. For each question on the tests, she writes a paragraph that she gives during lectures. You have to memorize these paragraphs exactly how she writes it for the test.
I think anyone wants to do well in nursing or medical field should take this class because this class will give you the perfect training for the memorization skills you need for your future study. Thanks to her, I can still remember most of the contents of AP 2 after one semester and I do have an overall understanding of the concept of AP2.
Must learn like about 5 pages of content kind of word for word to write out on tests. As soon as she writes out or hands out the material that would be on tests start studying, what worked for me is typing out everything on my laptop countless times. In labs you will have to learn the material by the end of the lab, in order to check out.
Ridiculous professor. Tests are usually multiple choice or fill in the blank; NOT THIS PROFESSOR. Her tests will ask a question and you must wright paragraphs of information to answer. I am not exaggerating, paragraphs of information. I have all A's and was smart enough to drop this class before I screwed up my perfect 4.0. You've been warned!
Get a 93 or more in class between 3 HW assignments 3 tests, 2 lab practicals and you are EXEMPT from the final She is a bit disorganized but will give you everything you need to pass just memorize it. In a nursing program now, and have found myself reciting her information to help get through it and have turned to notes from class for specific info
Just don't, this woman is ridiculous. Rote memorization is a thing of the past. Take a page out of Prof. Rediske's book and actually teach the students how to apply the information rather than reciting a block of text how you see fit and then grade a student on their ability to regurgitate it to you. Save your money and time folks.
Its A&P class, means u learn body parts name and functions. No matter who u choose, its memorizing class. So i loved her way that she gives out questions and answers so all u need to do is studying that she gives u. No text book, no lab report! 3 homeworks &3 tests and 2 lab practical. If u get good score by test 3, u wont need to take final!
Honestly my favorite science professor so far. Although her class is fairly difficult in some respects, if your taking the class for a major you actually enjoy its not too bad at all. Memorization is a must but personally this helped me learn a lot and actually retain the most important concepts. Genuinely loved her and the class.
Prof. Falconer is one of the best professors I have had at Valencia. She really prepares you for the nursing program and lectures are amazing. You learn so much! There are a few HW grades, 3 exams, 2 LP, but you do have a chance to be exempt from the final. Tests mainly consist of essay questions, but she gives you the answers, so memorize them!
By far my favorite professor at Valencia. She may seem a little intimidating at first but this isnt the case at all. She cares about her students and their success so much. Tests are given to you word for word, practicals are fairly easy, and textbook isnt really needed if you use google for your homework. And the best part is you actually learn
Only 3 tests worth 200 points each, only 3 homeworks, not enough to balance out tests. labs are just verbal tests. gives you essays you need to memorize WORD FOR WORD for the tests. Dont put an S at the end of a word like she does in an essay question, the whole thing is WRONG! So picky for memorizing whole essays for tests! IMPOSSIBLE
If you are enrolled in her class. DROP IT. I'm being so serious you will learn more from searching the web than in her class. She is NOT helpful and memorization is everything in this class. You have to memorize essays upon essays word for word for her tests. 1500+ WORDS OF STRAIGHT MEMORIZATION FOR HER TESTS. THIS IS YOUR WARNING ABOUT THIS LADY.
Took this professor a while ago for AP I. Having to memorize so much was tough. None of that helped me in the nursing program. She should teach to understand systems and how they relate to each other. This was how the tests were in nursing. You WILL need your A&P knowledge to succeed in nursing. Memorizing is not learning.
MEMORIZE EVERYTHING! She will write on the board and you need to memorize EXACTLY what she wrote, word for word for the exam. Exams are all essay questions that you need to have memorized perfectly. To get an A you need to study every day and be good at memorization. She knows what she's talking about but is sometimes difficult to talk to.
I was wailisted for this class and was so excited when I finally got it, because I only heard good things about her! As the semester progressed further she started to make remarks to some of my classmates that were plain rude. Very condescending and can be mean. But her tests go directly from her notes, memorization is KEY if you want to pass.
Labs, Lab Practical, 3 Exams and a final! No homework! No textbook! You learn through her live lectures and notes that are recorded and sent after if you cant physically be there. Overall, a very knowledgeable teacher! I will be taking her A&P2 class!
Professor Falconer is a fairly condescending person, who makes it difficult to participate in lecture. Perhaps it was that we were online, but she'd regularly become visibly annoyed when someone asked a question, and would interrupt your question to impose her attitude upon you. Her class isn't hard, though it is more difficult with her personality
Falconer is so amazing I took her for both A&P 1&2 and passed both with A's. She's accommodating to your schedule, posts links to all lectures so you can view them as needed at your convenience, and is very knowledgeable with years of experience. She's a funny gem, but don't take her if you're sensitive, she can be critical but it's how you learn.
This class is not organized how a typical online class usually is. Honestly if you take her course most likely it'll be completely blank in canvas. However, unlike other courses she won't set you up to fail. She'll tell you from day one you don't need to waste your money on a textbook. I'll be taking her again for A&P II.
Personally, wouldn't take again. Nice lady but SO unorganized. Everything is emailed. Literally nothing in the modules or test section of canvas. Grade is heavily based on presentations (labs) that are done on zoom infront of everyone. Wouldn't take if you are socially shy or anxious. Literally like 5 random emails per day. Had to email her 4 grade
I took her for both a&p 1 and 2. She is very nice and understanding, will give you many chances to do the labs and is understanding of work schedules etc. the test arent too bad except the essays. Overall, I would take her again if I could
I took Professor Falconer for A&P 1 and 2. She's really good at making her lectures fun and interesting. She offers a lot of learning materials for what she thinks is important for you to learn instead of making you pay $200+ for a book with so much extra stuff. She's communicative and helps you as much as she can to succeed on tests.
Do not take this professor! She is VERY unorganized and nothing is on canvas not even your grades.Everything is on files or on email. She gives no homework and all you have are 4 labs and the tests so if you do poorly on one then there goes your grade. She is also VERY picky and if you dont follow her scripts you dont get the points.Learned nothing!!
If you are a POC, she is very rough on her black students. The only good thing about her class is that she does all the work for you and gives no assignments. She is one of those professors where if it's not her way, then it's wrong, she doesn't care if you understand the material. Her class is stressful because of her, not the class itself.
This professor doesn't care about you or your success, especially as a POC. Very rude and expects you to know it all. There was no actual work to complete and her teaching style was....odd. Doesn't post grades on time and you won't know your grade until the end of semester because nothing is on canvas. Save yourself the stress and confusion.
Best professor for an anatomy course. she told us exactly what we needed to know for the tests and the labs. Yes, you have to memorize info but not as much as another professor would make you. She is very helpful and wants you to learn. Only a few assignments but if you study and prepare you will pass.
Ms. Falconer's A&P 2 class was difficult. Unlike many teachers now, she teaches using her own material and adequately prepares you for your tests, assuming you pay attention. She is a great teacher and cares about her students. If you want a letter of recommendation from her, you better make an A.
Take Professor Falconer if you are going for nursing. She knows what is on the TEAS and prepares you for it. All notes are emailed to you ahead of time to print for class, so #1 no $ spent on books and #2 you can pay close attention to the lecture, rather than frantically writing everything down. Show up and you will get an A.
The course itself is engaging, however taking it with this professor makes everything difficult. By difficult, I mean the lectures goes in my left ear then goes out the other. She would expect you to know everything by the time the test day without study guides or eve helping you success in this course.
I loved Professor Falconer! A&P1 is not an easy course, but she made this course as straight forward and as easy to understand as possible. She gives no homework, everything is done in class the only thing stress worthy are the in class checkoffs for lab, but they are helpful because it forces you to memorize the material making the tests easier.
Professor Falconer runs a challenging A&P1 class, but her straight-forward teaching style and recording of lectures make the material digestible. Unstuck AI proved helpful for efficient study prep.
Her class/teaching style is different than any other teacher I've had. I enjoyed the way she taught but it might not be for everyone. She gives no homework so your grades depend on lab participation/check-offs and exams. She writes all the notes for you, so just go to class and pay attention and you'll do well. Everything is on paper! No canvas.
No canvas, notes are emailed for you to print if you want. No hw, just tests (25 multiple choice+4 written), labs/verbal check-offs, and the cumulative final. No powerpoints, everything on the tests and check-offs are word-for-word on the notes she writes. She wants you to pass and is an out-of-pocket funny professor. VERY EASY if you pay attention
No homework. 4 tests throughout the semester, 3 tests of 200pts and the final 100pts. Everything is in the notes which she prints out for you and explains in class. All tests were literally copied from the notes. Check offs are intimidating because she is demanding, but it makes you remember a lot better. Would def recommend.
Professor Falconer is incredibly knowledgeable within the field of health and medicine. She gives you all of the notes you need to succeed in her class with a clear outline of how her tests and labs operate. I would remind anyone giving this professor a poor review that you need to actually learn the material rather than just memorize for tests.
she isn't the kindest but honestly, i think it sets you up with the kind of people you'll have to face in the med field. i learned so much from her class, she's great at teaching. she writes her own notes! LEARN your a&p, don't just memorize. know what you're talking about. don't let a "mean" professor scare you from taking a class that's worth it
You could miss every lecture and just go to labs and still pass with an A. She will give you a packet of notes and then the test will literally identical to what's on the notes, lectures are based on notes just read b4 class. 3 tests, no homework, and lab check offs are a lot of memorizing. Tough when grading lab check offs so just be ready. 10/10
Great professor but definitely not for everyone. Very old school, only uses canvas to email you notes. No homework, just tests and lab practicals. She is a bit of a tough grader and demands a lot for practicals. Her style of teaching is very different and she has a witty sense of humor. I think the class is very much worth taking.
Shes a good professor but def not for everyone. there are only 3 tests, verbal lab checkoffs and lab activities that are graded the entire semester. she emails you the notes every week. tests are pretty easy, every answer is given in the notes and she tells you exactly what to write in the written area. in my opinion shes easy but she can be mean.
Professor is not respectful or helpful. Is regularly rude and ridicules students. Her tests are memorization, including memorizing entire pages of notes word for word or else she'll take off points. But, if you can play by her rules and deal with her attitude, it's not a hard class. Also no textbook to buy which is nice. There's no homework either
