This course offers a lot, because the proffesors is very outgoing and understanding. There are few teachers who make a difference in your life enough to continue on with education in that field. Great teacher, his way of teaching is great and he is an expert at his subject. He makes the class interesting. He never gives up on you and is willing to always be there to answer any questions we have on our assignments. He is a wonderful person, very patient and helpful.

Great professor who knows his stuff. Tests can be tough but usually grades on a curve. Will go over test like questions during class so take good notes and you'll be fine. Would also benefit you to purchase the solutions manual which works out odd numbered problems in the back of the book. Definitely recommend this guy

Considering the fact that it is chemistry, I will not lie and say it is extremely easy class but Mr.Gonzales' patience and knowledge makes learning a lot more fun and makes the class a lot more interesting. He is helpful so ASK questions when needed. Other than that, he's awesome.

Chemistry in itself does require a lot of time and dedication due to the concepts, but as a professor he is a very dedicated educator and expects the best from everyone. His lectures may seem quick, but you must study on your own to pass and exam. Don't expect an A without reading and he will call you out when he senses that you are slacking off.

Mr gonzales is the best chem professor at STC take him you will have learn A LOT. His "celebrations" which are quizzes and exams are fairly hard but pay close attention and you will pass. The guy curves your grade if needed and if he sees you worked really hard thru the semester he might bump up to a letter grade;)

Friendly... Memorizes everyone's name & asks for participation during lecture. If you want an A, you have to put some effort into it!! Lecture was fast paced but pretty easy to comprehend. His quizzes are a great deal of help when it comes to the real exams! So study, turn in all your work on time, & participate during lecture... you will do great!

Mr. Gonzales is an excellent professor that is always to help his students understand and walks you through each new topicprocess slowly and clearly in order to help you understand concepts, both difficult and easy. He is not unapproachable and is very funny in class. His class is not to be taken lightly though.

Very easy class, a lot of quizzes that are used as extra credit for actual exams. 1 presentation. He gives reviews on tests and explains really well. He has favorites though.

He is a great prof. He gives a lot of quizes for points for the upcoming tests that dont count against you. The tests are not very hard but they do take some time because its half multiple choice half open ended. If you put in the work and ask questions an A is DEFINATELY possible. Honestly, he is one of the best professors I have taken. If you feel that you can skip the entire semester and go for the tests, you'll automatically fail. I retook chem class with this professor. This class is HARD itself, but at least he really tried teaching it. He made it complicated sometimes, but at the end of the semester, he gave us a bunch of help like take homes, extra credit, extra points, and even dropped the lowest test grade. I never met someone who cared so much about his students

I've taken Chemistry twice in college and failed miserably, but the way he teaches is so clear and helpful, I passed with an A and was exempt from the final exam. This professor is very straight forward and clear with what is expected and wanted. He is very awesome and understanding I would gladly take him again you learn a lot and have access to other learning materials its up to you to put in the work and effort to determine if you will pass or not. Dr Gonzales is always easy to reach and if you miss a deadline will give you time more time, if its a valid excuse. He has scheduled synchronized lectures and records it if you miss it. Yes, the OWLs are lengthy but help prepare you for the exams. All in all, I am enjoying this class.

Dr. Gonzales is great! Exams are through lockdown browser but no camera, except the final needs the camera... We would do a lot of owls, but there's 9 attempts per question. We had one group project and it was pretty fun. He would quickly respond when I needed help! Labs are on McGraw and were not hard. We had 3 lab reports and he gave some extra.

First of all, Chem is meant to be taken F2F, unless you have a good background of Chem feel free to do it online. It was NOT easy taken as a mini-mester one bit. Professor Gonzales does have a genuine side to him at the end of the day. You have to demonstrate that you're applying yourself tho. He is by the book, but like I said he does care!

He held tutoring sessions prior to exams on his own time (weekends/ non-office hours) which truly made a difference. IF you had trouble with an experiment, he'd help out.

Probably one of the best professors I've had. The work is difficult (duh, Chemistry's not easy) but he will definitely help you out and is very accessible outside of class. I just finished his Gen Chem 2 class, hoping that I could take his Org Chem class in the Spring but my schedule conflicts with his class times :( I highly recommend though!

He honestly feels like a friend and this helps me learn more and helps me pay more attention too. I hope he teaches organic chemistry next semester for me to be able to take it with him.

I took Reginald for Chem 1409 and I have to say that he is probably the best professor I have taken throughout my STC career. Dr Reginald really helped me learn and enjoy chemistry. A well made review will be done before every exam including the midterm and final. I just wished every professor would be as helpful and knowledgeable as Dr Reginald.

He is a caring individual, I have a disability and I asked my school for accommodations but I have to let my professors personally about it, I never told him about it but he still gave me the proper accommodations. Hello, I have taken gen chem 1 and am currently taking gen chem 2 with Dr. Gonzales. All I can say is great professor with a lot of knowledge and is always their to help his students. Holds Saturday tutoring in his own time to help students prepare for exams and will review in class. This is a difficult course, but if you will learn alot.

When I first came to this class I thought it was going to be really hard, but the way Dr. Gonzales teaches made it simpler and easy. Dr. Gonzales' way of teaching is really fun and very helpful. It made me like chemistry even more.

This helps gauge where the class stands. The labs are straight forward, he is there to help and guide you towards the right path in the lab. He provides tutoring.

I took Professor Gonzales's class for chem for engineers (chem 1409) and honestly, I couldn't have gotten a better professor. not only is he clear and accommodating during his lectures but he also really tries to help students when they don't necessarily understand the subject that's being taught.
