VERY focused and honest/upfront teacher. best for stats.
He's a great prof, if you go to class.
Do to class and you'll do great!
Best prof I've had, very approachable. Do your work, you'll do great!

Great Teacher!
Tough prof! Hard exams! He makes grade C as 60%! Such a killer!
very helpful to certain students.
Great prof, really hard marker

i shall call him the quiz master supremo... pretty sexy with the newf accent
Spends most of the class talking about himself and what a great guy he is.
Made us pay him money for printing when we had to photocopy everything ourselves. Fair about most things.
Marking is very strict, spent too much time lecturing the class on what he expects and how disappointed he was with us. Will act friendly but is not easy to talk to - its his way or no way! Don't pay the photocopy $ cuz you have to copy everything yoursel
Good prof. Extremely hard marker

Wrost Prof in the University. Does not help clarify class lectures. Expects you to write down everything he says. Thinks he's great and talks about himself a lot. VERY hard marker. Avoid him!!!
What a guy...I mean he made us pay for the photocopying then we had to do it ourselves. Talks bout himself way too much . Expects you to know EVERYTHING about marketing...Hard marker, beaware!
This guys a tough marker...speaks alot bout his wife and himself but overall he is okayy...
Sheppard is great!!! He is a very hard marker, but for your own good. His class lectures are very interesting, so if you listen...you will do fine. Go to class! He loves it when you answer his questions. I love marketing because of him.

VERY interesting classes. VERY hard marker.(easy to pass but hard to do well) just depends what your looking for.
I was looking forward to this class, however he has probably forever turned me off of marketing. Very hard class, we wrote one "quiz" in an exam booklet! You have to know _everything_ for midterm and quizes. Plus, he is the hardest marker ever!!
I failed but thats only because I was lazy!good prof
Tough marker, but fair. Very high expectations, come to class prepared!! Cares about his students, and you can talk to him in the hallway or even at the Mall!!
AWESOME.dont listen to anyone who says otherwise-those are the ppl who didnt go to class.Hes funny & knos his stuff.Yes hes a tough marker but thts b/c hes preparing us.I decided to major in marketing thnks to him.Great Prof!

Overall good prof, knows his stuff for being relatively young
He can be very rude, and puts himself as a marketing expert, which is more than obvious that he is nothing more than a glorified MBA
His class was very well organized. Prepare yourself in case he singles you out for an answer! He picks his favorites (most of the time they are girls!!) His quizzes/midterms/final were all very tough! Know your stuff by heart. And go to class!
One of my fave profs at UNB. Sure he's tough, but with him, you earn every mark you get.
Awesome proff, makes you work, and think, trys to get everyone to participate and learns everyones name. Great guy to talk to and get help from. He's why I am studying marketing. He is full of personal experiences to pass along to you.
Honestly, I thought that he made this course a lot harder than it had to be. It's m a r k e t i n g not rocket science. Memorize everything twice and you might get a B+. He is a very personable guy though so that does count for something :) Don't let him pick on you, if you don't know the answer in class just say so.
I tried to rate hime and it result was four startsfor some reason so I will try again. he is quite full of himself and a very hard maker on top of that.I originally signed up for marketing with him but he eventually drove me to the point where I dropped the course. I took it with nevers which by the way is a much better professor.holeee
Really good prof, knows what he is talking about, makes the class interesting. You have to memorize a lot for this class.
Professor Sheppard is very tough, and expects EVERYONE to work hard. There is no free ride, and he is up front about that with you. If all my profs were as accomodating and helpful, my program would be a total joy!! Take him!!!!!!
Very tough prof!!! But also exceptionally fair to everyone, and gets everyone involved in his classes. He even takes the time to read ALL of our assignment's, he even checked the references!!!! Professor Sheppard is definitely one of the best, and remembers our names!!!
A lot of work in this class, but I learned a lot from an excellent professor. Make sure you keep on top of the work!
Challenges you. I had a blast with the course. Love him!
Sheppard's exams are not a fair assessment of classroom learning. The exam used the textbook, which was never used in class. The final was 10 essay questions over 80 minutes: no time to think about answers; he expects you to be a machine when writing his exams. You should expect that his mark will drop your GPA. Avoid if you plan to do a masters.
There's going to be times where you will be very stressed out with him because he isn't the most helpful prof. He is a tough prof but you end up learning a lot. Don't expect an easy high grade.
By far my favourite prof at UNB! I took two classes with him (marketing management and marketing research). He was one of the most challenging profs I've had but I learned the most from him. Come to class prepared because he'll call you out all the time. Take really detailed notes too and you'll do great! :)
Probably my favorite prof at UNB. Had him for Principles of Marketing and M. Research. He's not afraid to pick you out so I hated missing class. Relates to students and you learn so much! Best part is he is easy to understand.
Great prof! my favorite for sure!
DO YOUR READINGS OR HE WILL MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT. Very engaging class, you will learn a lot. Always pay attention, he will ask questions at random. Middy/final are hard but fair,& very much textbook based! Can come off a litte arrogant but is overall a nice prof, respect him and he will respect you.
He gets to be confusing in class and goes fast. He will tell you to stop him if you don't understand, but if you actually do it, he'll look at you like you're the dumbest thing on earth. He calls out on students, so pay attention. Tests are the insanely hard and too long.
Reg is a tough prof. You need to read your textbook before going to class or he makes you feel stupid. No matter how you answer a question, it will always be wrong. He likes to hear himself talk, and spends time telling irrelevant stories. During presentations, he will interrupt you mid-sentence. Read the textbook, class notes are not enough.
Worked my butt off for the B+. Don't expect to have your hand held through this one. Reg expects you to know the material inside and out. He'll call on anyone at any moment, 90% of the time you will be wrong. He will continuously question your presentations, shutting you down when wrong. He is an easy presentation marker but a hellish test marker.
Have the pre-requisite. Read the articles before class and be prepared to answer questions. Lectures are fast paced but informative so take notes. Assignments must be timely and done according to specified guidelines. Exams are fair once you have done the required readings. Participate & attend classes regularly. Accessible for help.
Although he is certainly a true expert in his field, his grading is brutal and he throws tough questions at the class. Beware that he may confuse what he said in another class (or section) with yours. Unclear deadlines, assignment details, and he doesn't use e-learning. Don't take his class if you have a heavy courseload.
Reg is a great prof who gives great lectures (lots of stories). If you put in the work and attend he will be fair with you. A tough grader on tests but he takes into account your participation. Be prepared for class because he will call on you to answer a question.
Reg is one of the most polarizing people at UNB. He is incredibly knowledgeable in his field, and make a point of getting to know each of his students names. He asks his students lots of questions during the lectures and will make you look dumb if you are not prepared. Some people don't like him, but he is one of my favourite profs in the faculty.
Seriously though, his online lessons are pratically useless. There are no online lessons at all and we were just told to read the textbook. He gives out a 30% paper which requires you to write a 15 pages marketing report which he gave almost 0 guidelines for. It is almost impossible to do and I honestly learnt nothing from this module.
The kind of guy you would love to have a beer with but would never want to take a class with. Extreme energy; all over the place; when he says THIS COULD BE AN EXAM QUESTION - it's probably an exam question. Exam questions can contradict book & a tough grader. Final exam covered a chapter not even mentioned in class. A+ is 96-100; A is 91-95
Really unclear with instructions; if you ask him a question he will give you an unclear answer but expects you to 'clearly state' everything you are saying to him. Although he does have good and entertaining stories, that is the only upside to the lecture. You are better off switching off to another teacher. Not very accessible outside of class.
He can be condescending. He's very wise but not approachable. Marks harshly. You'll learn a lot from him though but I would avoid unless you have too.
Hands down one of the worst professors I have ever had. Classes are mandatory but he only talks about stupid and irrelevant stories throughout each and every class. His slides are useless. His marking is unfair. His texts and exam are created so poorly. He expects you to memorize numerous figures from the text book and recreate them on the test.
One of the most awful professors/humans I have ever met. He is incredibly rude, for instance he will interrupt and scream at you during your presentation. No amount of preparation will prepare you for his dumb and irrelevant questions. This is supposed to be an easy A, but his marking and awful teaching abilities make it very difficult to succeed.
Rating a prof in post-covid times is a lot different, and Sheppard is by far the worst adjusted to using Teams and online resources of any prof I've had. He refuses to record his lectures, he only sends assignments by email and refuses to learn D2L. I wouldn't recommend him as long as we continue virtual classes. He does seem knowledgeable though.
Would take my entire degree with Reg if I could. Took ADM 3315, 3316, 3345, 4317 and more with him He's a tough marker, but as long as you pay attention in his classes and take notes you'll do fine. Lectures are great because he actively encourages student participation Real solid guy who tries his best to get to know everyone on a personal level.
He is not specific with the instructions and then expects you to specifically include what he was thinking about. For his lectures, he is all over the place and he will embarrass you if you asks him questions. It seems like he doesn't want to see studnets do well. University is not a JOB, I am paying you to teach me.
I have taken classes with him in my previous years and loved him but ever since the school went online he is just not the same. he has canceled many of the classes and cuts all classes short. so much so that we have only been taught for 6 hours and 15 minutes over 3 months, good guy if its in person not online
Feedback is always unclear, at most you get one sentence explaining what went wrong. Tests and assignments are not reflective of course material. He has not transitioned well to online classes; the way he does tests are a nightmare, he does not record lectures and he is not quick to respond to emails. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!
Don't take his classes if it's online. Refuses to make a D2L page + does all correspondence through email. Showed up late to class every time without fail. Justified his poor accessibility by saying he has many classes/students. Not necessarily a tough grader but the way the course is marked makes it nearly impossible to get a decent grade.
Extremely tough grader. Expects students to have mastery understanding of concepts before he even teaches them. Barely explains concepts in class. Students must spend extensive time outside of class to try and teach themselves to the level he expects.
Reg is a pretty sick dude. Good lectures. Would take another class with him
He is a good guy but his grading system is all over the place, he doesn't give feedback unless you ask his about it, and even then it is very vague. Otherwise he is a good prof
Professor Reginald is very wise no doubt but I don't think he really teaches, explains the material or answers student questions all that well. Also, the way this course was set up makes it more challenging grades-wise. The assignments are also graded a bit harshly. Overall, I advice to take this course with another instructor.
Reflecting on my experience with him as the marketing professor brings only negative emotions. His teaching style: "A+ knowledge for God, B+ for me, C for my mother, and a D- will do for you, my dear student." Navigating his lectures is tough; his thoughts scattered, yet he anticipated us to capture every uttered word out his mouth.
Terrible at teaching the material
In our section, a few students cheated on assign. 1, but instead of punishing those students, he instead removed all assignments for the year, and had our grades consist of 2 25% tests and a 50% final exam. Exam is soon, and he hasn't graded test 2 yet. Only got one piece of course feedback going into an exam. Uncaring, unapproachable. Don't take
One of the worst profs I've had in university. Very old-school style, has a lot of hard content with very little clarity of expectations. Would not even recommend to people I dislike.
Very strange and unpredictable prof. worked my butt off for the B. i know students who got worse test grades than me but ended up getting a better grade in the class due to his biasedness. if he likes you you will get an A, if he doesn't you will for sure get a C or C+ at best and if you don't participate but do well on tests you will get a B.
This professor will give broad questions on the tests and expect you to state with limited words how he would answer the question exactly. Even though your answer justifies the question if it is not what he would answer then he will mark you wrong and the entire course is based off three tests which he offers no study guide for. Overall pitiful.
If you don't want to go to classes, why are you signing up for them? Professor Sheppard is very knowledgeable about this course and clearly states the answer what he expects and how it should be presented (Don't overexplain it). It is not very hard to show up, take some notes, and study before a test. His slides and lectures give you the answer.
Make sure you write down everything he says, or he will call you out on it. Everything said will be on the exam.
He is deeply knowledgeable in his field and has the ability to simplify complex concepts. His lectures are engaging and thought provoking. With a blend of humor, wisdom, and patience, he creates a classroom atmosphere that is both stimulating and welcoming. Attend the lectures, take notes, and you will do great.
Once you understand his humour he's a great prof. The tests are mostly exactly what he talks about in his lectures. He values good students who care about his class. His lectures are really enjoyable if you want to learn.
