His lectures can be boring and he tends to ramble sometimes. He's a bit of a conspiracy theorist so get used to assignment based around that.

I do like how he relates everything to real life. Very smart guy, but does get a little long winded.

Excellent teacher. He doesn't just go through the motions, he actually grades based on a students ability to have and support an opinion, not just on whether your opinion is the correct one. He also allows everyone to bring food on movie nights.

-very intellectual man- I have his class right now. I've gotten an A on every paper. He isn't very hard, all you have to do is follow the criteria for all the papers, show up to class, and act like you are paying attention. As long as you do these things you're pretty much set. Correct as much grammer mistakes so he doesn't mark points off.

He's a pretty nice guy, but has an odd grading scale and way to teaching. Set in his ways. Asks for others oppinions, but must prove them wrong if they are not the same as his. He is a writer himself and you will not receive a good grade if your thought process does not match his on each subject. Not the class for those with strong oppions.

He's the best teacher ever. Not only he knows what is talking about, he also can back it up. he will help you at all time, in class and during is office hrs. He's also a great listener. I have him also this semester for 1102. Please register for his class and you won't regret it. He's also very handsome and clean.

Great teacher, wish I could have him for all my classes. He connects with his students and is always willing to help out with any questions. Do not take this prof. if u have a mind of your own. He based his class on research, and I was given a list of insane topics that I had to choose from. (Roswell was one) He also had us watch a video about JFK's assassination, claiming that it was the passenger in the car who shot him. He LOVES conspiracies, and if you disagree you get a bad grade.

he tries to be honest and fair. if you're curious about the world and mentality alert, you will appreciate him because he is thought-provoking. he is a rare and unique teacher.

his teaching ability is good, but the class was sketch.. for example, all of the reading material was about****and murder.. it makes you dread the class and it makes you feel so sketchy..i think if the material he gave was different, then that class would be better

Professor Williams was absolutley awesome! The class was a bit demanding, but he is a very understanding human and will work with you if something comes up unexpectedly in your life. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone! I will also be taking all of his classes required for my degree. I was very impressed with his teaching methods.

Professor Williams is a phenominal teacher. His class is so much fun and very intriguing. I only take his class once a week, but look forward to it. You have to go to class to get a decent grade...basically you need to know what is going on. Prof. Wms listens to everyone's opinion and offers his own insight. All in all...WONDERFUL INSTRUCTOR!!

Ok its hard for me to take an English professor seriously when he pronounces ask, "AX" and with, "wif". Once I got past his dialect,I was ok. You need to figure out what he wants, and give it to him. My opinions were quite different than his on the between the lines meaning of the stories he chose. I verbalized that and don't suggest you do it.

What's a little criticism going to hurt, isn't that a learning thing? I like him, he's a great teacher. First day of class he learned I have anxiety about speaking in front of others, not once has he called on me directly. Makes me feel comfortable. He grades fairly, do the work and get your grade. You're only screwing yourself if you do poorly.

Mr Williams is an amazing teacher, I took him last spring and all he wants is for you to open your mind and think outside of the usual lines. If you show up for class its a breeze, and u will get so much out of him. Take this class!

Great way to finish off my last english class forever. He likes to open up your mind. Writing was actually a breeze and he is pretty lenient on content - not on grammar as you are expected to be a college level writer at this point. It is Literature so be ready to read between the lines! 2 thumbs & a peace sign!

He is very nice and helpful. If you ask for help he will help you, one time he even let me re-write a paper.The problem I had with him is that he really wants you to analyzed the story, I never really understood what he wanted.

Mr. Williams is by far the best English teacher I have had. He truly makes you take a step back and look at the world. He goes over the material and gets very deep into the discussions so you actually learn something. Like other students have said he has changed my life and this experience I will never forget. I really liked him as a teacher. He does expect you to think outside of the box. Ordinary and simple are not going to work in this class..Because of this you become a better writer, which is why he critiques the way he does. Very knowledgeable, likable, and eye opening.

Prof Williams is by far one of the best instructors at this school. You WILL have to work. You WILL need to put in effort. Unlike a previous review, I can tell you he grades you fairly, even if e doesn't agree with your view point. However, if yo ucut corners, He'll cut your grade. Seeing as this is a college course, I'd expect nothing less.

Professor Williams is very passionate about his teaching and his technique. I learned a lot in his class. He is a very good teacher. He tell you exactly what is expected of you and there is no going back. Which is very understandable. You have to be ready, willing and able to learn to take his class. I have read many ratings on Professor Williams. Many of them are negative. He is a great Professor. Yes, he is proud of his heritage but we all are. He doesn't want robots. He wants you to have a mind of your own and look at different opinions. I love his outlook of life. He changed mine. I took him for both Englishes. Love him.

Never even read the book (wasn't ever an issue, either)! Mr. Williams is hilarious, definitely gets the students involved. Sometimes the class DID seem monotonous but he's very understanding, funny, and an excellent teacher! Sometimes requirements weren't clarified too well but a quick question solved that!

You really learn a lot. You put in your work and effort, it'll be worth it because it's really rewarding and will help you get an A in his class as well as help you in your other classes. He's really a smart, interesting, and motivating professor.

This is the only class I have ever dropped. He grades extremely hard even worse if your views don't align with his. I never got inspired just stressed. Even with help from writing center and a friend with a masters in English my papers were never above a B.

if you take this class you have to take it with this prof. he makes this class what its worth & goes in depth. i would take it again just for fun & join his club if i could. i wont go as far as sayin this class is a life changer but takin it with this prof. it chnages your perspective on things & really opens ur eyes to new knowledge.

One of the best instructors I've had for writing (and in general). Great sense of humor and is really dedicated about teaching us the material. Lectures are always interesting. He doesn't assign too many papers, and as long as you apply yourself, you should do well in this course.

This teacher is amazing. Inspirational, and extremely knowledgeable.

Prof. Williams tells you what to do every step of the way, literally. There were some days that I actually over-complicated his instructions because it seemed too easy to be true! Sometimes the instructions are a bit unclear, but he makes you find your voice even on topics that you don't care for. I'm taking him for ENC1102 in the fall.

You write journal entries about the content discussed in class or the assigned readings and you have to read them. His lectures are long, but he's pretty interesting so time flies for the most part. No test, no quizzes, your grade is based on participation, mid-term and the final.

Mr. William's is a great professor. He spends a lot of time lecturing and is very philosophical, yet inspirational. You can tell he likes to help shape his students future and change their perspective. I enjoyed taking his class. We only had 4 essays, however, his grading standards are "old school" meaning 94 is an A. Bring syllabus 1st day.

You walk into this classroom expecting to read and write papers but you gain so much more from Prof Williams. He makes you think about life outside of academia and encourages you to find yourself and your voice. He walks you through everything until he knows you can truly do the papers on your own. I took this my first semester back in college as a night class. this proffessor changed my college career and has been so inspirational. he breaks the writin process dwn into very small steps. I had a hardtime grasping it at first. I went to his office alot to get feedback on his papers before turnin them in just to make sure i was on the right track. once i understood the process he was tryin to teach I got all As on all my papers & still use this process today, & make As !

By far the best professor that I've ever had. Don't be afraid to take his African American literature class because it is really eye opening. Not only do you learn about Africa's history but about yourself as well. Writing assignments are based on what YOU feel. About ANYTHING that you want to write as long as it relates. He is the coolest professor I have ever had. I absolutely loved him. His grading is a little old fashioned but if you read his grading rubric, which is in his syllabus, you'll do good. Before you turn in the essay, you sit in class and review it, then turn it in the week after. He gives great feedback, and you can even correct one and re-submit.

Hands down one of the best educators I have ever met! He is straight forward, and does not candy-coat anything . He will make you think for yourself, and challenge you to challenge other's around you. He wants you to connect the dots for yourself. Attend class and pay attention!!

Professor Williams is such a caring and sweet teacher, he will walk you through every step of the way to make sure that you understand everything and is not rude and gives very clear instructions. I RECOMMEND TAKING HIS CLASS! He is amazing and is funny and has a good sense of humor but is still professional.

A caring professor who will help you improve! At first, I thought this class was gonna be hard (which is was for a bit), but then I realized that you really have to work for it. If you that you want to improve, then this is the professor for you!

I've taken multiple classes with Reggie Williams, and if I'm being completely honest, he's my favorite professor on that entire campus. He asks you to dig deep and give him quality work, not for his eyes, but for your own. He will make you a better writer, a better student, and a better person. He is the cornerstone of that department, imo.

Williams is a GREAT Professor! You have to have mature mindset to handle this class. I have seen people take his "criticism" personal when in reality he challenges you and pushes you to your highest potential. You have smaller assignments that will help you on the big assignment at the end of the semester.

There is no specific textbook, but a lot of suggested material is provided in the Syllabus, and in class. Prof. Williams challenges you to think outside the box, and question things. This was my favorite class this semester. It definitely expands your mind and opens your eyes to the world! I HIGHLY recommend this class with this Professor!!!!

Professor Williams ENC 1102 course is easy. All you have to do is 3 essays all on food and 1 oral presentation on your food related research topic. He explains the assignments very well and gives great feedback on the essays. He also gives examples to help you with the writing assignments. Take Professor Williams for ENC 1102 he is the best.

Reginald WIlliams is genuinely one of the best teachers I have had the pleasure of having. He is inspirational, open-minded, and kind. He is also super funny and wants people to dig deeper within their brains and think. He wants us to get something out of the class and not just a letter grade. Had for ENC1102, LIT2000, and will have for AML2600. :)

He is an excellent professor. He will walk you through writing a college-level paper and gives clear instructions and grading criteria. He clearly wants to teach you and point out anything you should change. 10/10

I took Prof. Williams for both ENC1102 and LIT2000. He is a super funny, kind and inspirational. However, he is a tough grader and wants his students to succeed so he isn't handing out As for nothing. Both classes were graded on 4 assignments that were worth 25% of the final grade. I would highly recommend, only if you want to better yourself.

He's a very good professor and you should take this class if you want to be a better writer. There are no deadlines instead, he'll set them when he feels the class is ready for them. He walks the class through paragraph by paragraph so if you follow his instructions, you'll turn in really good work. He could be better at responding to emails.
