This is the worst professor that I have had in college. The man hardly speaks english and gets so nervous during teaching that he sweats through his shirt. Avoid having him as a teacher if at all possible. Georgia Southern needs to evaluate this teacher, not just kids on this site. AWFUL teacher
omg, this class was such a joke, he is the worst teacher ever known to man, DROP THIS CLASS!!!!!!!
the hardest person to understand in the history of the world. he does everything some crazy way that no one understands. not to be mean but he comes in class and really has no control, he is like a leftover nerd from high school. dont take him, i got a D.
Oh yes this is a complete joke of a class and a teacher. He doesn't know how to teach worth a crap and especially since you can't understand a word he says because he's German. Half of the time I don't even go to the class because it seems like one of th
If you already know algebra take this class. Its easy. Piltner doesnt really know how to teach and the language barrier is rough. The exams, though, are easy. Everything you learned from ALgebra 1 when you were a freshman in highschool. He gives plenty of oppurtunities for making up homework and he does fake quiz grades for extra credit.
not a bad teacher, just hard to understand. easy tests, random quizzes that are ridiculously easy! not bad once you try to understand him...also extends most homework due dates!
Probably the most boring and worthless class i've taken. He has no personality and can't speak english very well. If you are really good at math this class will be easy for you because all you have to do is complete the homework on webct then take tests. i would recommend those not very comfortable with math, to drop and get a new teacher!
Dr. Piltner was great! Really fair. He gave 3 multiple choice tests and a multiple choice final. Homework was done online and he extended due dates to the end of semester. test questions were very similar to homework. He was fascinating when he talked about himself. He has a bit of an accent. but he is a GREAT professor.
you can barely understand a word that he says. His tests are multiple choice though, i have made A's so far but some ppl are still failing, make sure you attend class because he is a nazi about attendance
He explains the concepts pretty well and puts notes up on the board. He does have an accent, but he's really not that hard to understand. Even if you have trouble understanding him in class just do the homework. You really don't need to understand him in class if you do the homework. If you can do the homework you can make As on all the tests.
He was an easy teacher, but if your aren't good at math DO NOT TAKE HIM. Math is my subject so i made an A but if it wasn't i would have been screwed. All his tests are multiple choice though, and you have to do the homework!
Extremely brilliant man! Great, fair teacher. My advice would be to concentrate more about what he's saying in lectures rather than complain about his accent and there is no way you can fail. As you can see, alot of students blamed their grades on his german accent. He does a great job teaching high level math in an unfamiliar language.
He's not a good explainer. He's not used to teaching trig. More than half the people dropped his class.
Try not to take him. Don't buy the book, just get the online code thing because the book is online. All hwk is online. He's German and has a heavy accent and talks like a computer. He just does problems on the board, doesn't really explain how to do stuff. Take someone else.
Fun. Good teacher.
I'm sorry to say this I didn't understand anything this man was saying! When I tried to ask him for help after class he just confused me more! He gives lots of homework that you don't understand because he doesn't really teach. He just writes notes on the board and expects you to understand them. It sucked!
He is VERY hard to understand and EXTREMELY boring. I had to find other ways to entertain myself in his class because it was useless for me to pay attention. Don't buy the book, because he doesn't use it. Do the homework on MyMathLab, and if you understand that, and memorize formulas, you'll do good on the tests. I don't suggest taking him though.
If math is not something that comes very naturally to you, then I highly suggest avoid taking this teacher. While he is a brilliant man, he does not do well explaining concepts to students who just don't understand math. Only take him if it is the last possible choice, and then you need to go to class. And the book is not necessary.
Kind of quiet and a little hard to understand. Very nice though.
He is the SWEETEST person ever. Although he has an accent you can understand every word he says. I didn't do well in his class just because it was 9am and hes not very enthusiatic that early. He will work with you if you are having trouble. SUCH a sweet person.
VERY hard to understand. I usually am a very good math student but I did very poorly in his class. Does not explain the material very well at all. DO NOT take him if you are looking to make a good grade! Only 3 absences given for entire semester for class 3 days a week. If you do not do the homework you will fail! Do not need book!
He is extremely quiet and very hard to understand. He seems really uncomfortable around students. I wouldn't recommend taking him especially if you aren't a strong math student.
the worst teacher i have ever had he can not speak well at all. he is horrible at explaining the material and should not be teaching! Do not take him!!!!
This teacher is awesome! I dont know why all these other people r leaving horrible comments. He doesn't change his test. Find someone that had him before. STUDY that test. I have an A+ in his class and I seriously sleep in the back of class all the time. Class isn't mandatory, but he makes you think it is. He doesnt take any points off your grade.
This man is very sweet! he does have an accent but if you pay attention soon you will not notice it!Seriously easy, do all your homework which is open all semester and test are multiple choice! Easy Easy easy!
Horrible teacher. If you arent good at math already, then you will fail.
Very Easy teacher. I have a 100 in the class going into the final. If you do the homework then the tests are a joke.
This guy is a joke, u can barely understand anything he says or understand what he talks about in class he gives hw every week but the hw and test are pretty easy but the class is a waste of time had to teach myself the material.
He speaks quietly so I fell asleep every day in class. I had to teach myself just about everything for the tests which is why I got a C (I am not a math person).
Great Teacher, Little Work, easy 15 Question Test. So Nice
He is a little hard to understand. His accent is not terrible. The problem is that he is so quiet. In his explanations of how to work problems, he makes it a lot harder than it really has to be.I never listened in the class because he was so quiet. I taught myself everything on mymathlab and I didn't do to well in the class.Idont recomend the class
Pretty difficult to understand. He over-explains every topic in the class. Be sure to do all the homework - he gives bonus points at the end of the semester. If you understand the homework on CourseCompass, then you'll do fine on the tests. STUDY THE THREE TESTS BEFORE THE FINAL - some of the same questions on the tests are on the final.
nice guy, but terrible teacher. if you are already good at math and know everything, youll be fine. but if you aren't good at math, dont take him. he doesnt explain anything clearly and isnt helpful. go to all classes a few weeks before your final..he gives 2 random 'attendance' grades that count as quizzes
Get A tutor, get something to do in class and forget about an A if your not a math expert. Good Luck if you have to take him!! I learned more from Google you-tube and my math-lab than i did in class.
He is so sweet but very boring. Def. not the best math teacher i've ever had, although you can tell he tries. He thinks differently than students who don't already know the material and it can get confusing. He also teaches a lot of useless material. I made an A because i'm naturally good at math. If you aren't, don't take him.
Look the dude is not for you if u hate or dont like math. However he is an understandin bloke I was at a D grade in his class with only 1 A in 1 of his tests but i got a C overall(i talked to him but he told me he cant do anything about my score)but i was relieved when i got my C dont try what i did.i am just sharing my experience.... he is all good
He is a Really Nice guy who loves his job its just that he is hard to understand. He should be working with may than rather than teaching. Go get extra help!!!! I bearly passed his class with a B. Make sure you study and yes he has an accent but thats not the problem , he sometimes doesnt use his words in the right context so watch out 4 that!!!
He is a super nice person and has a huge accent so if its hard for you to understand an accent i don't recommend. he is really confusing he goes off topic a lot.he is not meant to teach math. i mean i really like the guy and he tries to make jokes but overall i made a c in his class and i went to EVERY SINGLE extra help session . i don't recommend
Drop his class!!!! I could not understand a word he said when it go to math and one day he compared a problem to a potato... (confused)
Heavy accent..easy tests..very boring and not a good teacher
He is HARD to understand due to accent. Compares math with potatoes... still not sure how that fit in. You do need an access code to do your homework. His test are off of homework not off of his lectures. DO NOT TAKE!!
Having taken this class in high school, it was a VERY easy class. You can do well if you pay attention but can be hard due to his accent and the fact that he sometimes goes off into a tangent which nobody can understand. Overall good teacher and I would not tell you to drop the class.
His tests are multiple choice, not hard at all if you study and know your formulas. He loves analogies about cars and the words 'magical' and 'special'. Not a fun class because it's trig, but it wasn't bad either.
Easy class, but he's difficult to understand. You don't really need the book
His class is pretty easy he's just hard to understand and he isn't very helpful. If you teach yourself you can definetly get an A or B since the test are multiple choice. I'm bad at math and I barely came to class and I got a B.
Hated going to this class. Very boring and talks in monotone with an accent. Very quiet and not very helpful. You don't need the book but you do need the MyMathLab code because that's where you do the homework (or teach yourself the material like I did). Avoid taking him if you can.
He is confusing and hard to understand. But all the tests were based off the homework you do online, you just have to teach it to yourself. I thought he was sweet! Honestly if you needed help,he would do his best to help! Recommend only if you are a math person and can teach yourself!
I'm horrible at math, but his tests are multiple choice so I've done pretty well, but I had to teach myself everything. Would definitely not recommend him. He's a nice person and a bit of a pushover but a terrible teacher.
I only learned in this class because of MyMathLab and the textbook. Doesn't teach class just writes on the board and talks in European accent. I was on my cell phone all of class and a have high grade. Multiple choice test are easy if you did your weekly online homework. Passes around attendance sheet every day. Study sessions available for tests
One of the worst professors I've taken at Georgia Southern. Homeworks are impossible, he's dofficukt to understand, and is extremely monotone. Super nice guy, just cannot teach. Especially if you aren't so good at math (like me) you will not pass.
Nice guy, hard to understand. He know's what he's doing but does not know how to tell the class how to do it. He does not answer questions well, he will never just answer a question with yes or no.
If you took calc in high school, this class is VERY easy. He allows you to do your homework endlessly; he is always reopening quizzes and homework and asking students to make 100 on them. Tests are multiple choice, and gives practice tests which are identical to the actual exam. He is not hard to understand; however, he does say things differently.
He is absolutely dreadful at teaching, but he is fair when it comes to grading. For homework, he left questions open so that you could attempt each problem as many times as necessary to get it right. This was helpful both for studying and buffering my grade. Read the textbook and use the homework website if you want to understand anything.
His accent is very difficult to understand and he neglected to cover the material needed for the homework, which there was a lot of during the course! He gives 3 or 4 tests and the final is cumulative. If you are not a math person, do not take him. I had a great math teacher in high school, that's what saved me.
Doesn't teach, he copies notes onto the board and stands in front of them while explaining. Teaches problems the hard way. Hard to understand because of his accent and is monotone. You take lots of notes but don't understand how problems were done. The whole class has to beg for study guides for tests he won't give them voluntarily.
I took Piltner 4 years ago for Trig and now I'm back for a secondary math. Super easy. Just do the homework, for which he doesn't enforce deadlines, and go to class. Few tests. Would be impossible to fail if you do the homework and got a high score on it.
No one goes to his class cause it's not helpful. I have to learn everything through tutoring and mymathlab. I really like him as a person but he's just no help to someone that isn't good at math.
Dr. Piltner is a super nice man, but he does not necessarily teach. He goes through examples every day in class, but does not always explain each step or why the solution is the correct answer. I basically self-taught myself how to do everything. The "view an example" option on My Math Lab was what saved me.
He is not very clear in his explanation about things. When asked questions, he gets confused and ends up not even answering them. He isn't helpful in office hours. He is extremely awkward and not easy to talk to.
He doesn't explain anything well and doesn't speak English well. Do not take.
I can understand how many people may not like this professor, but he really is a very sweet man. He knows and enjoys what he is teaching. He tries to help you understand but it just is hard to follow his thought process sometimes. I thought his accent was easy. He cracked jokes and talked about his kids. Learn from the book/homework, you're good.
He is german with a very thick accent. He will NEVER let you out of class early and takes attendance seriously. He also mainly talks to the board when teaching. I wouldn't recommend him if you struggle with math. If you know college algebra pretty well then you could make an A.
Awful Teacher. Hes hard to understand and is very unclear with his work. If i had a choice between taking him and waiting to take the class a different term, i would wait
HORRIBLE. Literally had to teach myself through the online homework. I wouldnt say he gives tough problems on the test, but since he doesnt do a good job of teaching the material its hard to answer the question. He expects work shown on the test or he wont count your answer. Yeah, means no guessing on tests. (which are multiple choice)
Comes in with a stack of notes and copies them word for word to the white board. Doesn't interact with the class. HW is in MyMathLab. Anything below 70% and he'll fail you. This was my first time taking Calc and I would not recommend him to other beginners. You practically teach yourself the material. You have to show work on tests for credit.
Will not help you. worst professor ive ever had.
He's a nice guy but you have no idea what he's talking about the entire lecture. do not take him. But if you have to, try to pay attention during the lectures if you can and then DO THE HOMEWORK. everything you need for the tests can be learned from the homework.
He speaks very quietly to large rooms. Goes on math tangents for no reason and for a while.
I had to teach myself everything--you might as well as called me my own professor. He can't teach well at all. I went to every class, and still didn't understand a single thing. I had to teach myself from the homework. Take any professor other than him. He's a very nice guy though.
Very nice guy. If you do all your homework you will definitely pass, very laid back. If you want to learn by mouth don't take him . If you can teach yourself, and honestly just want to pass the class take him because it's easy to pass weather you know the material or not
Avoid taking him. I had to teach myself with the online textbook (Thankfully math is something I'm good at). He would go on random tangents during his lecture about physics (THIS WAS A TRIGONOMETRY CLASS). He'd ramble for a bit, then cross out what he wrote on the board, because "We didn't need to know that yet." Lectures are so unhelpful.
he is a bit of a push over, and is usually pretty nice. in all honesty, he does not know how to convey his knowledge to the students. if you can teach yourself, take the class. if you can't teach yourself, avoid the class.
If you struggle with math don't take him. He doesn't talk very loud and has a very prominent German accent. He tells us in class about how to program a super computer or tells us physics problems. All homework is on mymathlab and if you do less than 70% you fail no matter what. He is however lineant with the deadlines of homework.
i have to teach myself, i already suck at math and he explains NOTHING, he will write the notes he comes in with on the board and they have nothing to do with the homework or tests. he doesn't go over test even though we usually have an test average of 50% and he wont suggest anything to help you. honestly don't think he cares about us succeeding
Fantastic professor, happy to answer questions and explains things slowly in great detail so its easy to understand and retain. Very respectful and understanding about absences.
If you can figure out how to teach yourself or finesse the system this class is for you! He does give a lot of homework but I normally worked on whatever was due during class so I didn't have to do it after but I was teaching myself anyways so that was a plus to save time for other things. Attendance is mandatory but you can finesse that.
The worst professor I have ever had in my academic career. He does not teach well and you will have to teach yourself. Also, there is a lot of homework (online). The homework online teaches you better than the professor. He also doesn't round at the end of the term even if its borderline for a C or B. I received a 79.9. Pick someone else.
Really Nice guy talked to him a lot outside of class and he really does care about his students, that being said most of what you've already read about him is true, hes hard to understand and speaks very quietly, you have to teach yourself and hes pretty strict about grading.
PIltner has a heavy accent and is hard to understand. He speaks very softly and doesn't understand questions very well. In class lectures are very confusing and you will get lost if you do not go and seek help outside class. With that said, the tests are very easy and it is not hard to get an A if you study a lot outside of class.
I could not understand him at all. He does not believe in extra credit and won't round your grade. If you take him then you need to teach yourself.
This dude genuinely has no idea how to teach trigonometry. He never even mentioned the unit circle, which is at least half of the class itself! He teaches majority of the concepts the wrong way because he is constantly writing them on the board off of a piece of paper. The class started with 32 people and ended with 13, if that tells you anything.
The professor is nice and caring but his class is awful. I go to every class and take notes on everything he writes and I learn nothing. The way you learn is from the homework assignments and from the book.
Please don't take him. I'm good at math never struggled before walked in his class everything changed. He doesn't even teach.
Will have to teach yourself completely. Told him I was having trouble and his response was "do better". Does not teach what is on tests or coinciding with the homework. Going to class does not help at all as he will just do 1 problem on the board and never get to the answer.
He does not like the textbook and all of his notes are handwritten on the board so they are not accessible online. When attempting to complete the homework, it is best to use the question help and just teach the content to yourself. He is a very nice guy and is willing to work with you if you have to miss an exam.
Have never had a problem in math, ever. And when I say that I mean always have had high As. He copies notes directly off of some paper and it's almost as he's just as confused about the material as the class is. Had tech difficulties which he basically blew off, resulting in my grade. If you can control it, don't have him as a teacher or drop asap.
I attended only one single lecture out of the entire semester and passed the class. You cant really understand him or read his handwriting. All of the work for this class is on MyLab Math and he allows you to retake every assignment infinite amount of times, excluding actual exams. So you can basically pass by making 100s on homework, quizzes, etc
I had professor Piltner online this year for algebra. He always did multiple example problems and made sure to address any answers we had. He was extremely nice and always happy to make conversation. I would definitely take him again.
Out of all my professors, this is the one I would never take again. He gave us the option to go to class but was still on zoom. You had to have at least a 70 on all of your homeworks in order to take the pre test, and then you had to make above a 70 to take the real test. It was ridiculous.
He is awful. Do not take him. I have never made a C in math in my life. I would a 4.0 if it werent for this man. He does not teach anything.
Dont take this class if you are bad in math I got a B but I had to work hard.
I took Trigonometry online during COVID-19 and I didn't enjoy the teaching style that Professor Piltner provided. The lectures weren't thorough and I didn't really understand the way he taught. Some may learn better but finding the textbook material and resources were always hard. Attendance wasn't mandatory till the end.
If I had not taken Precalc in high school I would have been screwed. Overall a terrible professor. Handles questions from students very poorly. Kinda gets the deer in the headlights look. It's all through mylab math and the tests are identical to the practice tests on there.
Dr. Piltner is a very nice and caring guy, but he is not a great teacher. His lectures have little to do with the homework or the exams, so be prepared to teach yourselves.
He is a very nice and and understanding teacher. He leaves all homework open so it can be completed no matter how late which is my favorite thing about him. His teaching style is not the best and with him you will probably have to teach yourself because the information given during the lecture is not very helpful. There are test for each section.
Dont take him if you struggle with math. He hardly teaches. Hell go over a few things during class then will go completely off subject. Sometimes its hard to understand him. You also cant miss more than 3 days. The only good thing about his class is that you can redo hw as many times as youd like.
It was very hard to understand his teaching and he only reads the PowerPoints. All tests and quizzes are online but taken in class. Homework was also online and mandatory for a grade.
no just no legit anyone else
I would never recommend this professor to any other student. most of the time his lectures are just nonsense that doesn't help with the mandatory homework or exams. If you take this course be prepared to teach yourself this course (or change your schedule out of his class ASAP)
He is far more concerned about the application and what is considered basic "high school" math than teaching. Everything counts as a grade. Your HW, the practice exams and tests. He does not use notes in class, the book's powerpoints are posted but you have to go through them on your own time, Everything is on MyMathLab.
If you want to teach yourself all the material he is a great teacher, but if you need someone to do good explanations, then don't take him. He only allows 3 absences. His class is nothing but lectures and is very boring. all the work is through McGraw hill and not on folio.
If you can teach yourself, this is the class for you. If you can't, don't take him. Everything is on MyLab Math, and he lets you work at your own pace, which is nice. Class is pointless because he doesn't even teach fr, but it's mandatory to come. He has an accent and it sometimes makes him hard to understand. I hate this class tho.
Disorganized, did not teach in correlation to homework and in class work, tested over subjects hardly touched on in class or in homework. Test grades take up majority of overall grade
He seems like a genuinely great guy, but I just cannot for the life of me understand his lectures. I took this class to avoid taking PreCalc online but I ended up still having to teach myself the material since he barely goes over what's on the homework. A $50 online textbook is needed for the class and all homework and quizzes are on MyLabMath.
Do not take his classes. Unless you are okay with teaching yourself and entire math course, do not pick him. Choose anyone else, just not Piltner
DO NOT TAKE PILTNER. JUST DONT DO IT AND SAVE YOURSELF
Dr. Piltner has a heavy German accent, but he is still understandable. Be prepared to just use Mathway for literally every homework assignment, and just pray you do okay on the tests. Your grade will rely HEAVILY on tests even though he assigns 2 hw assignments each class. His lectures are gibberish and he talks about computer programs too much.
If you don't understand a problem, he can't help you.
Be prepared to fail his class unless you are REALLY good at teaching yourself. I could not understand a word his said and by the second week of class, I was simply going just to sign the attendance sheet (which is mandatory). I had taught myself all the material and was lucky enough to barely pass with a C. Take anyone else but Piltner.
overall, lectures were very boring and didn't learn anything in class, but he posts practice tests which are basically the test. So if you can teach yourself, the class is very easy.
Dr. Piltner was the worst professor to be thrown into my first year. The entire class utilizes MyLabMath, and you are assigned multiple homework assignments a week that take 2-5 hours to complete each task. His lectures do not relate to homework or tests and he often goes off on side tangents that relate nothing to the class.
He's an okay teacher, doesn't teach much related to the topic during class, but all of the work is online and he isn't strict on the deadlines with the homework. Great to take if you are an independent learner.
If there is any review to read PLEASE read this one. His lecture style is completely unhinged (he did not teach any of the homework/exam material and often taught the material several times over) If you do not understand a heavy accent DO NOT take this class as he has a very difficult accent to understand coupled with his lecture style. He was nice.
As others have said before, he has a very heavy German accent, but he does care about if you understand the material. Hos lectures are easier to understand than the textbook, but some parts he barely covers and you'll have to review. The practice tests are close to what the real tests are and graded, so keep at it until you get a high grade.
He was a really sweet man, but I don't know if he should be a professor. I never really understood much as his lectures were relatively confusing. His tests are weighted very heavily so beware of that. I ended up pouring about 20 extra hours a week of tutoring to get my grade up from a C to a B. His German accent wasn't too difficult to understand.
DO NOT TAKE THIS GUY! I have always had an A in math through high school and college until I took this class. Heavy German accent and reads off of a notebook in a monotone voice. Pretty much have to teach everything yourself (good luck with that if you're not familiar with Calculus). Nice guy, but take ANYONE else.
Be ready to not understand a word he says in class. Thick German accent, talks both quickly, and whispers through everything. All of his class discussions he speeds through with no time to actually take the notes. Don't expect help either he doesn't answer questions or even point students toward the on campus tutoring. TAKE LITERALLY ANYONE ELSE.
So I didn't really have a bad experience in this class. A lot of people complain about his heavy accent. I just took notes off the PowerPoints that's in folio and those were really close to the hw and test. The lecture he goes over that's on the board I don't pay attention to. I just recommend the PowerPoints that's in folio.
He was a sweet professor, but his accent made it difficult to understand materials. I took him for trig and had to teach myself and I failed. Had three exams plus the final and homework due every week. Take another professor if you can.
Professor Piltner seems like a great guy, but he reads just off a screen. He talks with a German ancient and is very quiet. The practice test are an accurate representation of what's on the test (the numbers are just changed). If you can't teach yourself I would advise you to not take the class. HW heavy, as many times as you want before the test.
The professor is really nice but can be difficult to understand due to his accent. You will have to teach yourself some aspects of the chapters. The homework is a large portion of your final grade, and she be maintained throughout the semester. If you do the practice exams you should do good on the chapter exams.
I took advanced trigonometry in high school and passed with an A; I failed this course. This professor is hard to understand due to his German accent and he does not speak loud enough. The whole lecture is him pointing to the slides, and it can be very hard to focus on that class. Your tests are worth 60% of your grade and there are only 3 of them.
During the final test he didn't release any of the practice exams for previous quizzes instead we had to go through over 20 homework's with at least 20 questions least took me 13 hours
Piltner's class requires a lot of self-teaching, but the flexible pacing can work well for independent learners. The online homework and quizzes on MyMathLab are key, and tools like unstuck ai can help with study prep. Attendance is mandatory, but lectures aren't always helpful.
Please don't take this class if you can. He required attendance for class but doesn't actually teach us. He shows us PowerPoints that already have the work pre written (which are from 2020) and doesn't work out the problems on the board. I could've did that on my own. He's honestly just lazy. You have to teach yourself so I recommend tutoring.
Dr Piltner is a very smart man; however, he does not know how to teach students. He talks at a quiet volume making him hard to understand and just reads off of an old word document. Most of your learning will be done by yourself outside of class. One time he spent 45 minutes out of a 50 minute class answering a single question from a student.
Worst math prof I've ever had.
He does not teach well. It's like he thinks he does not need to even though it's his job. Many times he will spend the whole class with his back to the class while he mumbles to himself about a math problem. College classes are supposed to be difficult at times and it is our responsibility to make it work, but this professor is just so subpar. 0/5.
With the amount of complaints this guy gets it literally amazes me that he is allowed to continue teaching. Attendance is mandatory for the most insanely boring and off topic tangents I have ever seen in a lecture. Save yourself and complain or do whatever you can to get out of this class.
Save yourself if u see his name on your schedule , not only is it basically a self taught class, he mumbles to himself the entire class and he doesn't post any announcements or reminders on folio to help you out. You have to just “ follow the syllabus” and he's unhelpful when asked for further guidance. Switch out before you're stuck.
he is a nice guy, but this teaching leaves a lot to be desired. He has a heavy German accent which makes it hard to follow. Most of the class is just him going through notes that are already filled out, so if you're a visual learner who needs more explanation, this class is buns. It feels like there's little effort to engage or break down concepts
He has a very strong accent that is sometimes hard to understand. He gives take home tests before the real ones. Class is very easy and test heavy but test are easy. Not very approachable. Its an easy A if you are good at learning on your own.
Not very engaging. Mumbles about a few math problems during the class, but you mostly have teach yourself the work when completing assignments outside of class. Gives take at home test before the real one in class (both are for a grade). Doesn't give clear feedback or instructions when you ask for further help.
