Prof. Lupin was fantastic, particularly if you are a hands-on learner, like myself. His lessons were always practical. It is regrettable that he operated in an adjunct fashion; his substitutes rarely followed his learning objective and whatever was keeping him from teaching did not seem to do much for his health.

His passion about his field is truly inspiring, and though we mainly only discussed threats that derive from natural forces, he has inspired me to follow a career in promoting the awareness of Dark Forces. Professor Lupin is an awesome teacher. He really cares about his students and gives extra credit if you need it. You do need the book! Lots of spells you will be practicing! And writing a few essays! His class is not easy, but it's interesting!

The best DADA teacher Hogwarts has ever had! His class isn't the easiest, but don't worry about studying in the textbook; most lessons are hands-on. Do make sure you attend class though, since there isn't much homework. He was so great! I wish he was still around!

Easily my favorite professor at Hogwarts (though unfortunately he was only here for a year). Gave everyone a chance to succeed which is more than I can say for many other professors here. Made class enjoyable and I learned loads! Didn't really use the textbook that much because he instructed so well in class. :)

LUPIN IS THE MAN. Great professor, great mentor and great friend. Definitely my favorite at Hogwarts. I got through Lockhart never wanted to take any DADA class again as soon as I get an OWL degree. Then he taught me in my fifth year-and made me a DADA major. PS: Don't buy the textbooks. He never use them so they don't worth the gallons you pay.

Best professor I've ever had at Hogwarts. This guy is brilliant and should be commended for his excellence. I am pretty sure, looking back on my education he is the one who I learned the most from education wise and life lesson wise. I def recommend if you can. PS - don't buy the texts unless you want to because he's more of a hands on prof.

Kind of raggedy but also one of the best professors at Hogwarts! Intelligent, very clear lessons and he keeps them interesting...he's brought tons of magical creatures to class for us to observe. My favorite lesson was the one with the boggart. Kind professor and you can tell he really cares about his students.

Unfortunately, he only taught for one year, but he was one of the best teachers I've ever had and I'll never forget him for as long as I'll live.

Was a very practical, hands-on class. Don't take him if you're not comfortable with your wand! Somewhat flakey, always sick, but a great instructor when he was there to teach. Always brought in cool creatures and articles to help with the lesson, kept my attention the entire class. Would recommend to anyone. Don't bother with the book though.

He was a wonderful professor. I don't think I would have survived my N.E.W.T level exams if he hadn't been our professor during my seventh year. He was very through with all of his explanations and was more than willing to help anyone who had a question. There was no favoritism in his classroom. I loved that.

I had Professor Lupin in my fifth year. He was brilliant. I loved his hands on approach to teaching. It was so much easier than just reading out of a book. His tests were cumulative, but he made the material very easy to retain. I give him the credit for my perfect score on the DADA OWL!

Amazing professor!

He is by far the best teacher I've ever had at Hogwarts. All of his lessons are fun to attend. I loved our Boggart lesson the most since it taught me a lot. Especially since I got to turn my greatest fear, Dolores Umbridge, into an actual toad which was a lot of fun! I would definitely take more of my Defense against the Dark Arts classes with him.

Professor Lupin has a lot of history at Hogwarts, (the womping willow was placed there for him) but he taught me to defend myself against the Dementors, and saved my Quidditch season to say the least. Great practical experience fighting Boggarts and other matters. Pity he had to leave after one year. Guess that the DADA post is actually cursed.

Professor Remus Lupin, hands down, is the best professor I've had. He beats even Professor McGonagall! His class is so fun and he makes learning fun, although you have to work for the grade. But in the end you feel amazing because you learn so much! I loved him and I would definitely take him again if he didn't leave Hogwarts.

Best professor ever

He is a great teacher but I feel like he does not challenge the class enough. He gives us little to no homework and i feel like he is too lax about the subject material. But otherwise great personality and help is always given to those who ask for it.

Prof. Lupin is the best professor I've had here at Hogwarts. We learned so much from him, and almost none of it felt like work. There were often practical exercises on dealing with what we were talking about, which was invaluable (one of my later professors wouldn't even let us use our wands!) I passed my OWLS with flying colors! Take him!

Professor Lupin is incredible - so hardworking. He half runs himself to the ground, and his health isn't too good, but he's such an amazing teacher. He always knows just how to help you understand something, or make you laugh.

Amazing professor. Gets sick quite a lot, which leaves you with a downright horrible substitute teacher, but otherwise definitely a big improvement on the last professor. Also a plus: no textbook needed. Spend those Galleons on something more useful!

Professor Lupin was the best DADA teacher we had the opportunity of having while studying at Hogwarts. His lessons were fun and interactive and he had a way of really making the knowledge stick. Though unfortunately he was sick for a fair bit of time, so Professor Snape had to fill in, which was the worst thing about the class all-in-all.

Professor Lupin is one of the greatest, kindest, and wisest people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. He was always so polite and there to help and inspire those who needed it. I would take his class again any day.

Professor Lupin taught me more in a year than any other teacher has in the 5 years I've been at Hogwarts so far! If it weren't for him, I'd have no idea where to start with my DADA revision, but he teaches clearly, he is patient and helpful, and just and incredibly kind person. I'm so glad to have benefitted from his teachings, he's wonderful!

He's obviously one of the best professors, it's horrible that he dies, but he really shouldn't had left his wife alone. I always go back and read the parts where he appears. He is a kind, encouraging and awesome professor.

Professor Lupin is an absolute gem of a teacher. He is rich in his knowledge of DADA and if I could take his class again I would in a heartbeat. His only flaw is that he seems to get sick often and substitutes sometimes skip ahead in reading. He's always willing to work with you on grades provided you aren't slacking in class. It's a shame he left. He was the first good teacher we've had for that subject and he was clearly passionate about DADA. I heard he endangered the students though so maybe its best that he left.

very vivid classes, I learned a lot!

There was a lot of upheaval at the school the year I had Professor Lupin, but he was always a calming presence. Always good for a chat in his office to pick you up and give you some chocolate. His class did seem to be cancelled somewhat often. At least once a month (I'm not complaining!!!).

One of my favourite teachers! Always seemed like a nice person. I could hardly believe he wasn't a Hufflepuff or something. His classes were one of a kind to me; I really liked them! The Boggarts were so interesting, one of my favourites from his classes. When he gave us the opportunity to see Snape in Neville's grandma's clothes? Classic.

Professor Lupin definitely one of the best DADA professors, but that's really not much to go on with the disastrous predecessors. I mean a giant fraud and a dude with the Dark Lord Voldy out the back of his head? Definitely better. The class isn't too hard and involves a lot of hands on participation. Overall, great teacher (and pretty hot too)

Very inspiring

Loved Prof. Lupin! He's been a great teacher all year. I wish he was around more often though. He had to get Prof. Snape to sub a few times. He does what he can to hep students excel and allows students to come by after for extra help on difficult spells. Lots of class participation. He always carries around chocolate which is a huge plus.

Great professor! But as a werewolf, I will say this. When I was walking around the grounds of Hogwarts one night, he turned into a werewolf and bit my bottom! So now my bottom literally turns into a werewolf whenever there's a full moon! And it's all thanks to Lupin!

Mr Lupin was probably the best thing that happened here at Hogwarts. Seeing my worst fear wear a pair of thongs was the best day of my life. Truly. He was also a werewolf, which is epic.

Remus is a good teacher overall. Its good to have lots of practice in actually defending yourself instead of just reading from textbooks. Homework is pretty hard, but you can always go to his office for help.

Best man I'll ever meet. He was more than a teacher. He was a friend and an incredibly inspiring role model. I've never learned more in Defense of the Dark Arts before, the professors who had the position before we're children compared to him, (he's easy on the eyes too, if you know what I mean *wink*) I'll never forget what he's taught us.

He was easily the best defense against the dark arts teacher I've ever had. His lectures are clear, fun, and they give me a sense of what magic is like in the real world. Amazing.

Professor Lupin is a very knowledgeable professor at Hogwarts. He is very good at teaching Defense Against The Dark Arts, and I feel confident to defeat evil. However, I'm a bit puzzled that he always cancels class when the full moon is visible. Could it have anything to do with him being a werewolf perhaps??? Overall, Lupin is good.

Professor Lupin was the best DADA that I ever had. If you show up to class and participate, then you'll be in good shape to pass. His lectures are amazing, and can lift you up if you're having a bad day. Only DADA professor I recommend taking.

Professor Lupin is by far the best Defense teacher we've ever had! Wish he would've stayed for a second year- we all miss him.

He seems a little standoffish at first but he was an amazing teacher with real-world advice and learning strategies!

Applies lessons to how it will help us outside of school. Always willing to help with homework questions. Really helpful getting ready for OWL's! Offered tutoring outside of class. Understanding if you need to miss class because of illness. Overall, gem of a teacher! Should transfer and teach in America!

He is the boss. My personal favorite prof. HES JUST AWESOME! I mean, a werewolf, friend of James Potter AND Sirius Black and top of his year. Plus, his classes are so engaging. Id love to have him as a prof.

Omg I love him. He actually teaches the content, has them practice, then has them face it once they are ready. Also he would make a great therapist/counselor. What do you expect, hes a Pisces.

Gives a lot of extra credit and curves exams. But he doesn't have office hours on nights that have full moons :/

Prof Lupin is the best professor I've ever had. He's hilarious, down to earth, and really loves his job (and children, unlike some of the OTHER Hogwarts staff). He gives a fair amount of work, but if you ask for extensions, he's extremely understanding. He is also an amazing and effective teacher. I think he had a thing for Sirius Black, though...

One of the few competent teachers that Hogwarts has employed. Professor Lupin was good at his job and taught me many things! He was very kind and actively watched out for the well being of students. I was sadden when I heard of his departure. If he ever came back to teaching i would highly recommend him!

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head. The humour in Rick's existencial catchphrase "Wubba Lubba Dub Dub," is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons.

I love this professor. I would definitely take this class with him again. Too bad that he had to resign and was absent about once a month. Otherwise, great professor. Made lectures fun.

Great class, easy to pass!

Professor Lupin is wonderful! His lectures are so entertaining and he makes DADA so much fun. He's always absent in class and on office hours the day after the full moon...and he was allegedly dating a murderer...then married said murderers cousin...But all in all he's quite lovely and I recommend his class 100%!

Professor Lupin is amazing! He cares so much about his students and is willing to go the extra mile for those who need a little help.

So kind and supportive

Lupin is easily one of the best professors I've had. He makes sure everyone is understanding the material fully and won't move on until they do. Attendance wasn't mandatory but honestly you need to go to every class to get all the material because he strays from the textbook a lot. I went to his office hours all the time. 10/10 would take again.
