She sucks!!
Very hard, but she jewish, so you get off for all the jewish holidays....stay away very hard
STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!
Anatomy is a hard class within itself-at first you think you are going to do horrible in the class, the first day is very intimidating. She gives so many opportunities for extra credit, that if you put time in you'll do fine
Ask for a lot of work for a 4 credit Senior Seminar. Should have been worth more credits. Also if you are not Bio major, DO NOT take this class
rena not rita, wasawsome! seh was thurough and inspires the student to do well. she is thoughtful and tough.
DON'T TAKE HER IF IT'S NOT RECOMMENDED FOR YOU TO. SHE'S NOT A GOOD TEACHER!!
hard but good
she is the best teacher, u think the class is going to be really hard, but she does everything in her power to help the students do well, shes awesome!
Dr.Bacon is a great teacher, she is really nice and makes the class interesting.I loved anatomy and didnt find it hard at all.
hardest class i had that semester- lots of work
The way it works is in Lec..no exams but quizzes every tuesday (T/F class)..have to attend 22 tutoring sessions to drop 2 lowest quiz grades, inlab 3 exams...she's clear and makes it simple...nice to know her if ur Pre- med coz she's the adivisor....she's funny and nice. Take her if u wanna learn...

She was an alright teacher, but her tests were so hard. She was so unclear with all the assignment and I felt she was very unfair most of the time. She tries to act nice in class, but she is impossible to do well in. Don't take her if possible. Never ever got breaks in a three and a half hour class
stay away for your own sake...extremely hard!!!! and she doesnt teach..when she tries...she fails! so bad.
I loved anatomy with bacon, shes a brilliant and fun teacher. Yes, you need to apply yourself in her class but if you take the class seriously its not hard and its extremely interesting. I highly recommend her.
There is nothing goos to say, she is mean, confusing and a terrible teacher. Do not take, it wil hurt your GPA and frustrate you. She is the devil in disguise.
she should retire as a professor and as an advisor. she's horrible, she is never in her office, she does not teach well, her tests are ridiculous, and she is critical to her students when advising students. just horrible.
I loved her! she was so sweet! I took her for my integrated math and bio (class for people studying to become elementary school teachers) she was a wonderful teacher! but there was only 6 people in my class, so that might have been a factor. i loved her class!
awesome teacher!! shes brilliant, fun and very helpful. she makes the classes really interesting. i definitely recommmend her!

Very unhelpful; you're on your own with this professor. The tests did not reflect the lectures, no reviews, did not prepare students for the test.
She sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She gives you alot of extra credit on the lab exams. Some people get over 100's. It's alot of memorization, but still possible to ace the class. Tutor sessions will definitely help you survive this. Good luck.
awsome teacher. hmm if she is so bad why do her classes fill up first on reg day? goes out of her way to help you IF U SHOW EFFORT!!!great great techer!!take her for anything you can.also knows ALOT about med school if ur into that she can make it a little easier for you
DO NOt use her as an advisor!! She does not help you at all. You are on your own
Terrible teacher-has no idea who gardner is (multiple intelligence teaching theorist). I wish I had ninja stars to throw at her head-a disgrace to ramapo and the teaching profession.
she is rough. you must read and take good notes and be able to take notes quickly. if you dont read and go to tutoring youre screwed. lab exams are rough cuz theyre all memorization be sure to study old exams the current ones are usually quite similar
Don't listen to anyone that says she's terrible. Nicest, most understanding, and caring sweet funny teacher ever. she actually cares about her students and getting them through the class. She definatly gives you chances if you show that you care. I never did work and passed... not saying it was easy... just saying
As an upper-level professor [not A&P], she makes work! we worked from a 2nd year medical school text. lots of presentations, and PAPERS!! You will learn alot in this course... perhaps more than u wanna.
SHE IS THE BOMB!!!! OMG awsome. get a little intimidated when u first meet with her. sooo helpfull and will help u to no ends AS LONG AS U SHOW EFFORT AND PUT IN THE TIME!!!!!
She put me down when I asked her for help to get into a good graduate school. Said I had no chance to get in, now my GPA has gone way up since I met with her a year ago and I can attend pretty much any school I want. Dont ever ask her for advise, you'll be disappointed and offended.
you have to put the time in to study for her quizzes and lab exams but she is a nice lady and her stories will make you laugh
awsome prof!!!!MUST put in the time to study. lab is cool and gives ALOT of extra cred. weekly quizes in lec keep you on track
She's a nice person, good at explaining complicated concepts with simple analogies, and a fair grader. There are opportunities to drop your two lowest quiz grades by going to lab tutoring and SI sessions. She covers most of the textbook material in class in moderate detail, but she tends to go fast sometimes.

Worst Professor ever. Quiz every week and students are expected to attend SI sessions. Be prepared to do A&P everyday of the week. As a student with a job and other hard classes i struggled. Never got lower then a B before this class. She put me down the whole time and would never help me-only gave dirty looks.
I had Dr. Bacon for histology and I thought the course was very demanding but feasible. She explained concepts pretty well, but was often slow in returning exams and posting lectures. If you want to learn something take this class, if you want an easy A stay away.
I can't say I'm very impressed with her as a professor, but if it is required for you to take Anatomy and Physiology then you really don't have much choice. She is very intelligent, but not very generous with outside help. Be sure to keep on top of the reading. This is DEFINITELY NOT a class that allows for last minute cramming before the quizzes.
Haha you guys are nuts! Bacon's a great professor, and she has an undeniable knack for explaining difficult topics. She's tough, but just as much as an anatomy class should be. Come on people. Tests are all mult choice. She's both fun and funny, so the classes stay interesting. Take her for anatomy!
Quiz every week. Multiple choice, very hard. Long study sessions required to pass them. These quizzes are no joke. Only A&P teacher, you have no choice, you're going to wish you did. She's pretty nice in person, her quizzes on the other hand are pretty down right EVIL.
Very difficult class because there is A TON of memorization. That being said, Prof Bacon is a caring and great professor. She gave us a lot of extra credit opportunities. I would suggest taking her for lab as well because she explains everything well and she is straightforward. In general , its a very demanding course, but is a great prof to take.
She's really hard but you will learn a lot. Quizzes every week and there are 4 tests. She gives extra-credit. The only way to PASS is to study with a friend(s) every DAY. Read together then review by yourself (it helps during quizzes and tests). Go to SI and tutoring and go there willing to LEARN. 20 sessions= 1 dropped quiz.
the most stressful class ever. timed quizzes each week are more like EXAMS rather than quizzes. you must dedicate your whole lifetime to this class in order to get a good grade. a ridiculous amount of studying to do. i lost so much sleep because of this class. sure you learn a lot but that comes w/ stress, anxiety, no sleep & nightmares of bacon.
People talk bad about her but she's actually very good. It is NOT easy but if you want to go into medicine, get used to it. Bacon is also approachable and lets you know what she expects. She's also great for labs. Make sure to take advantage of SI's and Lab Tutors for help with quizzes and tests.
She's nice and the class is interesting, but I won't lie, it is REALLY demanding. Her quizzes do seem more like tests. I have never spent so much time studying for a "quiz" in my life. The knowledge you get is useful, but don't take the class with any other tough courses. You could practically use an entire semester just for A&P alone.
Horrible excuse for a professor. Does not teach, has unfair quizzes, and does not help students at all. There are things on the quizzes that aren't even in the book! Will not admit she makes mistakes grading. I would take another professor in a heartbeat if I could, but unfortunately, she's the only one teaching.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from any class she teaches....Take the class at another college and transfer it in...
she is a terrible teacher; as simple as that.
tells u to put a&p before any other class so don't take other hard classes while taking this. teaches u material after u take the quiz so u have to teach urself most of the material. USE SI TUTORS. u need to know every lil detail for quizzes which r ridiculous. study everyday for this class don't wait till the last minute. drops 2 lowest quizzes.
My only comment is that if you ask her a question, make sure you get an answer on a timely basis. Don't assume anything or it will cause you grief in the end. Also, her instructions are not very clear. Otherwise, not such a bad class to take and is very interesting.
Hard but good teacher and if you can't handle this class get out of the health care profession. This class is a breeze compared to grad school
Dont go into the class being afraid. She truly is a wonderful professor she is really thorough. You do need to spend a million hours studying but you should expect nothing less as a nursing major. NEED to study and put ALOT of time in otherwise it is impossible to pass. She is nice as long as she sees you are a good student. DO NOT CRAM!!!
She expects 12 hours of studying outside the classroom. It's a lot of work, but you do learn a lot. If you previously took anatomy like in high school, it definitely helps. She expects you to know the most obscure molecular details and the big picture too. attend 20 study sessions and drop two quizzes--do this! final is mainly old quizzes so study
She will skim through a chapter at full speed, no matter how complex or will skip the remaining material but WILL quiz you on it. Can't get quizzes from her, need to go to the tutor. Quizzes are ridiculous, need to study for days to even hope to get a B. No chance at grades other than quizzes, the final and 1 group project(which is 1 quiz grade).
In order to pass this class you need to teach yourself and hope for the best. Lab will save you, lecture kills you. Go to tutoring 20 times and she replaces two lowest quiz grades with 100. Final is cumulative. Buy new lab manual, online help is available only in new copies. Expect to teach yourself from the book the whole semester cause she doesnt
I liked her?She gives you a lot of information and doesn't hold your hand,ut it's a good class to take to see if you're prepared for the future. Lots of hw, made me a better science student and I LEARNED ALOT. Lots of presentations, which I loved.Tests are not bad as long as you understand her notes conceptually, but some questions weren't in book!!
I had her for A&P I&II - she is difficult because she looks for miniscule details- but you're good if you know your stuff. Every single test including the final will be 100% multiple choice. You do however, have a final group project/presentation. She is difficult but loves students so she gives you opportunity to get extra points. Bring I-clicker.
Go to class. Study a lot. Bacon is tough. Monday quizzes make you want to drop the class to be honest. right of passage for nursing students. gotta get through it! Avoid taking her if possible....
Prepare for weekly quizzes read and REREAD the textbook and your notes each week (FOR REAL) She's there for you, she wants you to succeed. Also she's the cutest old Jewish grandma ever, even if her quizzes can be tough.
Unwilling to help students. I asked if she could meet with me outside of her office hours because I babysit (to make money for everything needed for clinicals) and she said absolutely not. Quizzes are impossible and though she comes off nice, the woman will do nothing to help you. You're on your own with this
Great professor. You learn a lot in her class but you really have to work for your grade. Weekly quizzes are very difficult and sometimes they contain material that you didn't learn in lecture or from reading the textbook.
This is without a doubt the worst professor I ever had. She will never help you outside of class and is the laziest person ever. Her quizzes are provided to her by the text book so the lecture notes are useless. Go to the tutoring sessions or you will never pass. Avoid at all costs!
Tough, but manageable. Likes to focus on small details from the textbook, which can be frustrating on her weekly quizzes. Weekly quizzes are pretty tough and can be very frustrating because you have to go over every note and ppt and page of the textbook, but it helps you keep track of how you're doing. Drops 2 lowest quizzes if you go to tutoring.
Bacon seems to know her stuff but not how to teach it. Her lectures are confusing and unclear. If she's short on time, she'll skip material completely. Weekly quizzes (25 questions) are very difficult and totally unpredictable, focusing on tiny details. No guaranteed study method, but READ THE TEXTBOOK. Extra credit for tutoring sessions.
professor Bacon is a nightmare. Her quizzes are extremely difficult, she doesn't provide extra credit and the majority of your final grade is based on those 12 25 question multiple choice quizzes. She doesn't help people in class or outside of class, encourages students to withdraw but beats them down for it and failed over 20 kids in a semester.
Her quizzes make you feel like you are worthless. 25 Questions on topics that are so random, that you could spend five days straight reading the textbook and still come away with a low 70. One of the questions was based on five words in a 10-font caption in the textbook under a picture. She is actually very nice, but not the best professor
Nice person. Makes the class harder then it should be.
25 ques. multiple choice quizzes for lec that u can study hrs for & still receive the same grade if u dont study at all. This teacher should not be teaching at an undergrad level but instead a much higher one. Not willing to help u, doesnt accommodate for anyone. If you fail, just know its HER, NOT you, because u will pass lab w. flying colors
I actually like Dr. Bacon, she is clear, organized and tells you everything you need to know. Yeah, the material is hard but what were you expecting. She is a good teacher and if you study (which I hope you are doing if you're a nursing major), you will pass and do well!
Shes a good teacher and makes you actually learn the materials. However make sure to study and prioritize this class otherwise you will fail. Anatomy and physiology isn't always the easiest subject.
Quizzes are hell so be prepared. Other than that, shes a very nice lady but make sure you study your materials.
20 chapters on the first test. Barely taught us anything. 0/10
It's a lot of memorization and it seems harder because the nursing majors are always crying about it. Easy class if you keep up with the lectures and readings.
Dr. Bacon really knows what she's talking about. Her class consists of power point lectures and multiple choice quizzes. You really have to read and pay attention in order to pass this class. She's not a mean lady but she is strict and expects you to put in the effort. She will not round your grade so every point counts!
There is no reason I should have a 95 in Anatomy Lab and struggle to get a passing grade in her Anatomy Lecture. Do not take her if you can avoid it PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN MENTAL HEALTH!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dr. Bacon is a really knowledgable professor! You'll have a 25 question multiple choice quiz every week that you need to do well on but if you study her powerpoints you'll be fine. This class is not easy but as long as you really read and pay attention you will do well in the class. Don't be afraid to ask for help!
I was really nervous to take Dr Bacon based on her reviews, but I ended up loving the two semesters I had her. She is hard, but that is biology for you and anatomy is meant to be an in depth course. She prepares you for graduate school very well because of her style of teaching. I learnt so much from her and wish I could take her again.
There is no point of going to class to listen to her talk. The material she covers in class doesnt correlate with her tests. If you raise your hand she ignores you and continues talking. It suck that were paying her money to teach us when you will be learning everything on your own.
This teacher should not be teaching at an undergrad level but instead a much higher one. Not willing to help u, doesnt accommodate for anyone. If you fail, just know its BC SHE SUCKS! She's like a robot not caring at ALL!!
Dr bacon is the best woman I ever met she is extremely wise and full of lots of information. She truly is such a gem and an amazing person to know. I highly suggest you take her class- She will change your perspective on your intelligence. You absolutely need to experience her.
Dr. Bacon was the best professor I could have had for Anatomy. She cares about her students if you show you care about her class. Do your part and you will enjoy her class. Attendance isn't mandatory however I still went to class because she is an amazing lady and I looked forward to her. She is funny engaging and so smart. PLEASE TAKE HER!!!!!!!!!
Very boring class, it's hard to pay attention to her talking the whole time. Kind of rude, she will call on you randomly and get mad at you if you don't know the answer. I only took her because she seemed better than the other professor available. I don't recommend her, but if you study the powerpoint hard you might pass.
Organized and uses Canvas very well. She calls on you randomly and will get annoyed if you don't answer correctly, can be condescending. Attendance is only worth 5% of the grade and you HAVE to read the textbook and study the ppt before class. Weekly quizzes and 4 100 question MC tests. Seems like a better option for A&P, just very stressful!!
She is hard but that is anatomy. Better of the 2 options. If you stay ontop of your work and study from the textbook, do pearson modules and listen to her lectures you'll be fine. You HAVE TO be ontop of your studying, as you should if you're a nursing or premed major. Very nice lady - she will help you and work with you if she sees you are trying
Really surprised by the mix of reviews. For me, Dr. Bacon is the best from the other options. Dr. Bacon does not make anatomy unnecessarily difficult. Her lectures are long, but they are direct and very organized. Her exams are heavily based on the textbook, so you just have to put in the work to do good. I highly recommend her.
A sweet lady who wants you to do well. If she sees you putting in effort she is more than happy to help. Weekly quizzes help you stay ontop of studying (10q) exams on 3-4 chapters (100q) pearson hw assignments, final project. She is full of knowledge, can be overwhelming but both profs are. Just manage your time, know that a&p is your priority
Professor Bacon's class is quiz heavy. There are quizzes every week and they make up 50% of your grade. If you want to do well you have to read the text book carefully and study the textbook material to prepare for the quizzes. Do not expect to do well if you only use her lecture slides to study. She is very nice and I would take her again.
A&P in general is hard and it's a subject that you have to sit there and teach yourself. Dr. Bacon has weekly quizzes that are difficult but if your main focus is that class you will do fine. She is a sweet lady and tries to make us laugh sometimes. Regardless who you have, anatomy is hard but at least Dr. Bacon was nice and explained topics well!
She makes you work for your grade but she truly does care about the topic and wants you to pass. Go to her if you need extra help!! Choose her for anatomy!!!!!!! Weekly quizzes, a group project, and a cumulative final. I'm taking her again because she is amazing!!!
HORRIBLE PROFESSOR. asked her about help on quiz content and she told me I just have to "study harder". will randomly call on you in class and gets mad at you if you don't know the answer. yes I passed but her class had to be my life 24/7. will never ever take a class of hers again.
Between Bacon and Pool, please take bacon. She follows the book and just expects you to study for her weekly quizzes and pearson homeworks (easy searchable). Weekly quizzes sound difficult, but it allows you to have multiple grades and chances to achieve an A. Follow the textbook and her lecture (with extra studying obvi), and you'll be fine.
Bacon is much preferred over Pool. Though bacon has weekly quizzes, they allow you the chance to raise your grade through multiple quizzes instead singular huge tests. Anatomy is obvi difficult, but if you listen in class and take notes from the textbook, you'll be good. BTW SHE DOESN'T ALLOW ELECTRONICS
Choose Bacon over Pool if you can!! Anatomy with Bacon is not as bad as many people make it seem. The one thing I will warn is that you NEED to READ the textbook and take DETAILED NOTES!!! As long as you look over her slides and take notes on the textbook, you will succeed, trust me. Weekly 25Q quizzes, 100Q final + final project.
If you want to pass Bacon's class, you must read the textbook! Her class is quiz heavy with few extra credits. I had to teach myself basically everything, prepare yourselves to be studying most of the time outside of class.
Great professor! This was a good class. Obviously A&P is hard so read and study over each chapter not just the slideshows. TEXTBOOK HEAVY!!! 25 question quiz each week, final project, and 100 question final.
Great professor for anatomy. Reading the textbook and going over her lecture slides are extremely important. Gives extra credit opportunities to help boost your grades. There are weekly quizzes, a final project, and a final exam that is 100 questions. She is a very nice professor who wants us to succeed.
Honestly better than Pool. Her quizzes, tho every week r fair & general. No open ended qs! Pay attention to what she SAYS in class. She'll use class examples on the quizzes. She rushes thru sometimes & popcorn style asks u ?s but she does this with everyone so it's not embarassing. She also will NEVER round ur grade. Study hard & u'll be good.
Dr. Bacon is a pretty decent professor. I took her for Anatomy 1 lecture, and you definitely have to work for your grade. She is the best option as far as anatomy lecture professors go. Her lectures are boring, and you basically have to teach yourself everything, but if you put the work in your grade will be fine.
From a nursing major- if you think this subject will be a bit of a challenge for you don't take her. From someone switching to professor Pool next semester. Bacon only grades you on quizzes every Monday out of 25.The quizzes are reading the textbook not her lecture. If you feel you will do poorly on them take Pool since she has many assignments.
so she isnt horrible but she has some issues. her quizzes are based on her lectures but she leaves stuff out, so go over the powerpoints and watch videos to understand the whole picture. Do that for every quiz and you will score well. Also she calls on people which is kinda annoying. the project is like 5% too so it doesn't matter too much.
The rumors are true, this class is rough. The homework assignments take forever and are not easy. The three presentations are super annoying, but not difficult. You will be called on every class since it is less than 15 people. Im still happy with my grade tho but you have to do every extra credit assignment bc the exams are SO hard.
Professor Bacon is very knowledgeable on A&P which I can admire; however, her quizzes can be very difficult. About 10/11 25 multiple choice quizzes every Monday worth 50%. It can be hard to keep up with so I recommend staying on top of the material every week. Your grade relies on these quizzes, no EC or grade curve!
I love this class!! I've learn a lot and the weekly quizzes aren't bad. Take her!!
This class shouldn't have been as hard as it was. Weekly quizzes had questions that were barely mentioned. No grades were posted, leaving students with no sense of their grades. No review or guidance before the final, and she was very unclear when answering questions. Honestly she made the class way harder and less enjoyable than it should've been.
Pretty difficult. If you don't do well on quizzes take Pool.
Anatomy is difficult no matter the professor, but their styles differ. Bacon gives weekly 25Q MC quizzes and weekly homework (more grades=more chances to improve grade!) I recommend putting 100% effort into homework, cuts your study time in half. Very organized and knows her stuff, but barely knows how to use technology. Taking her again in spring!
