She is a GREAT teacher! She explains concepts very thoroughly. She reviews before every test and gives you a study guide as well. She can be dramatic at times, but it's actually entertaining when she is. I use to find math difficult, but now I find it easy.

She is really nice, but does tend to talk rather fast in class. She expects you to know the information after she teaches its. Her test comes with a review sheet.. do them.. and for the final.. make sure to study your previous exams!

Just do the homework and dont fall behind and you will get an A.Memorize all formulas, Know the info she has taught or else she will get pissed!, but since shes really pretty, that can be hot. She cares about her students so take advantage of all of her office hours for help.

I was slow at learning at first but she kept telling me - she knew I could do the work and it pushed me to do better. She gives test reviews-use them! GO TO THE MARK! And do all your homework. She gives lot's of ways to earn extra points. She's got a lot of energy - just don't ****her off!

OUTSTANDING teacher! Flat down, the best teacher I have ever had in my academic career! What seperates Loyd from the pack is that fact she can effectively communicate what is being taught, to the students in a way that they can understand. She cracked me up at every lecture... not because she was trying to, but because of her gestures and the way she stomps her foot when she's trying to emphasize something. Rene is the best math teacher at Mt. Sac. I've taken Michelle Summers and Candice Kim...and they are the worst teachers ever. But Rene knows how to teach the material and find ways for the students to understand. I will only take her classes from now on.

This teacher is amazing I failed Math 51 soooo many times before I had her I had to petition to take it 1 last time. I got a B in her class because her style of teaching is in such a way that everyone should pass unless you are not making any effort to come to class. If you take good notes and do the homework you will for sure pass. Great teacher!

Ms.Renee one very interesting and intelligent people Ive meet. She is great honestly eventhough I believe I failed her class but it was because of me myself. She is very helpful she pleads for students to go to office hours. She is an exceptional professor.

Renee is awesome. She doesn't trick you or get you with sleezy scams, she just wants you to learn, and you will. She is a high paced lady, so sometimes she will trip herself up and make it confusing, but other than that, she is great.

Professor Lloyd is a fast talker, but its understandable since there is so much material to cover! And thankfully, I talk fast, too, so I can understand her perfectly! :P Like any math class, doing homework is key to understanding concepts. Her study guides are extremely helpful as well!

She does talk fast but I still passed with an A. There was a point I was about to drop but I hung in there. The secret? Take good notes in class and memorize the theorems & formulas. Trig is really a memorization game. The rest is just practice. Her writing is legible and one can rely on her notes to pass the class.

Prof. Rene Loyd is the best math teacher on campus. If you have a hard time in math take her. I had failed 51 twice and ended up with an "A" in her class which I never expected. She gives study guides and has review days before exams. She is the best. Would not take anyone else.

I almost never showed up for class, and still got an A. If you pay attention to her and do your homework, there's no way you'd fail. She gives LOTS of bonus pts on tests. Only thing that can get annoying is that she talks too much (but sometimes it's entertaining). You'll walk out learning something for sure.

Professor Lloyd is by far my favorite teacher at Mt. SAC. I am not a math whiz and cannot wait to be done with math all together, but Professor Lloyd truly makes math enjoyable(which is hard to say). I had her for MATH50 and got an A, also being out of school for over 4 years. You won't regret taking her class.

She is a real gem of a teacher. She cares about her students and makes sure to explain down to detail. Do the packets and attend tutoring because it's extra credit! Packets are exactly like the test. She's also hilarious, although can be very loud (just her personality). Great teaching methods. Enjoyed taking her and would gladly take again.

I took her for both Math 71 & Math 130 and I passed with A's. She is one of the best professors I've ever had and she is very passionate when teaching. There is 3 exams and 3 hw packets. Make sure you take good notes on the packets she hands out and study them because they exactly match the tests. A great and easy class that makes math enjoyable.

She is a great teacher. She knows how to teach Algebra well, and makes it easy to be a great student. You do use a textbook, but the most important things are your notes, which are worksheets. Practice them, and you should do well. Is there for her students, either by e-mail or during break/after the lecture. Accommodates disabled students well.

Ive taken Professor Lloyd for math 50 and decided to take her for math 71. l personally suck at math and its not my cup of tea, but she makes math fun and interesting to learn. I took Rene for Math 71 in Spring 2018 and recently for Math 130/13 . I did enjoy taking her again before she left Mt. Sac who ever takes her at any other campus she will be working TAKE HER!!!! She is easy to talk with about HW and exams, and the Homework she assigns some questions are challenging but do indeed ask her she'll show the easy way.

I took Rene for Math 71 and 130. She is the best! She wants you to pass. She goes over concepts multiple times until you understand them. On tests she gives partial credit instead of marking the whole question wrong. She gives extra credit for going to the tutoring center. She really sets you up for success. Show up, pay attention and you'll pass.

A true gem at Mt. Sac. I previously took 71 with Dolores Chavez & was discouraged by her (she told me to drop bcz I didnt understand her teaching) so I was nervous retaking this class. She's nice and very encouraging. The class was synchronous, but she actually recorded lectures so it wasn't mandatory to attend zoom lecture. This made it very convenient. The class itself was very easy (easier than high school).
