Rene is a very good teacher. She explains things very well. She also uses different colored pens in her lectures. (actually helps a lot) The hw is all due on each exam day. Only problem is shes kinda psycho and yells and stomps her feet a lot. (really)

She seriously does get a little crazy occasionally. If you do all the hw and ec you can have a very good chance in getting a good grade. She drops a test if you do better on the final than your worst test. Her final is very easy because all the problems similar to the ones from the past exams.

Her test are almost the same as the review sheet she gives before the test. Additionally, she is mad funny. I laughed almost everyday in that class. Be sure to ask her for help with calculators, she loves them.

An exceptionally good teacher. Her teaching style is exceptionally clear, and she herself is very articulate. Prior to her class, I was convinced I couldn't pass mathematics. However, due to her teaching, I passed the class with an A. As long as you go to the class, pay attention, and do the reviews, you will be able to pass her class. Recommended.

Great math teacher with a passion for teaching. I got an A in both Math 71 and Math 51 with her. I wish there were more math teachers like her! She offers extra credit in the MARC which you will probably need. Great sense of humor and yes, she is hot! The Mt SAC Math Dept should take notes on her teaching method since the flounder rate is so high!

"She's stark raving mad"? I was in the same class and I thought she was great. In fact, she is probably my favorite teacher of all 2 and a half years of college. She has so much on her plate but she still helps if you need it. Just for you! She also gives review sheets and pretty much specifies what's going to be on the exam.

If you are not good in math, she is the one you want to take. I thought I would never get anything higher than barely a "C". I took her class and got an "A". She is clear, uses studyguides, reviews one day prior to tests. Highly recommend her for anyone who struggles in math. Best on campus...Would like to take her for all math classes.

Seriously guys, even my friend who don't like math can pass her class with an A. Great professor who really knows her stuff and even better knows how to convey it to the students in a manner for everyone to understand. You have to stay on top of your work but as long as you do and attend class you should do well. Heck she even talked me into taking Math 140

Took her in the fall. Lectures are crystal clear. Gives you a review sheet for each test and assesments, and those similar problems are on the actual test and assesments unlike some teachers who give crazy problems. Very helpful and wonderful personality. highly recommended.

I have taken loyd from math 50, 51, 71 and I have always been bad in math she made become a f average to an A average. very easy clear she can go a litttle fast but is very understandable. she is the best math teacher I know I can not wait to take her this semester for math 130

This is my second year in college and I have not gotten an A until I got this class!! She doesn't have profession in Psychology but she has it in her because she knows how to help her students and most importantly, she UNDERSTANDS the simply and big things in life. If you do not get her, then you lost the chance of getting an A and meeting her.

I can't express how much she has helped me and made me not only understand math, (which was a subject I always struggled with) but made me kinda like it. She made it possible for me to transfer to a 4yr. Take this woman especially if you have a learning disability.

Took Loyd for Math 71 and she was incredible. She's good at teaching and she's easy to understand even though she may speak fast. By the end of the semester you'll get used to her. I'm planning to take her again for 130 in the fall.

She talks really really really fast. take her in the fall or spring semester. it is easier. Take it in the shorter semester, it's harder. She tends to rush it in the shorter semester! So if you dont understand her, go to her office hours and she will try and slow down a little to help you understand the concept. =)

I understood mostly everything she was saying but couldnt master the subject sufficiently. Shes a good teacher for the mathematically inclined and the best math teacher I've ever had. She shone a light on the subject.I do understand it better as a result of her lectures even though I sometimes thought my brain was going to suffer a meltdown.

She is a great professor, for classes 130 & below. I took her for 140 & the combination of her fast speaking and a new subject caused me much trouble. Great Professor! I am HORRIBLE in math, and passed this class with an A. She does talk very fast, but after a while you will get use to it and understand her better. She also gives reviews before tests which basically is a copy of the test except different numbers. Highly recommend taking her!

Provided worksheets & study guides & that was what was on the test. No surprises made math very fun. She wants people to pass. Took 50, 51, 71 with her.

Let me start off by saying that in high school, I had to repeat Algebra 1 twice, Geometry twice and plain quit Algebra 2. Rene keeps you alert throughout her entire lecture. She is easy to understand and teaches direct laws that allow all problems to seem so east. This is not to say that you don't have to pay attention, you do. She is helpful!

Failed classes twice before I took her. She saved my GPA. She is very flexible, chill, and easy. All you have to do is use the study guide. Guaranteed you will pass with an A. You have study. I hate math but she made it so easy to remember.

Homework is turned in on exam day. Gives MARC extra credit points. NO quizzes, 3 exams and the final. exam questions are based off the reviews in class. BEST professor on campus hands down! She's a great math professor. She's funny and gets off topic in the lectures. People will find that annoying. This class was not as hard as I thought. What teacher gives you extra credit for going to the TMARC? She does! Go do all the hours at the TMARC it will help you to pass, study for the exams. Trig is not easy but she makes it easy!

Loyd is simply amazing. She will change your way of thinking when it comes to math and makes the most difficult problems not seem that difficult. Professor Loyd is the best instructor at Mt SAC. She genuinely cares about each of her students success. She goes the extra mile like no one else does. I cant say enough about how fantastic she is. If you struggle in Math, take her class. She makes it fun & interesting, and explains everything so well & in perfect order. Really thankful for her. :)

I've taken Rene since Math 51, and she remains the only teacher who explains math in a way I can understand. She goes through every step, forwards and backwards. Lots of partial credit on tests. Genuinely wants you to pass and understand. Talks fast and loudly, but she repeats important things multiple times. Class was always fun.

She's great in teaching a lot of people understood her well, extra credit on lab hours, practice the math pocket she gives and you will get an A, less home homework so you can study more. Get this professor and you will get and A.

I highly recommend professor Loyd best professor in the entire department she cares about their students and makes sure you understand the material her review sheets are the same ones as the tests take her you won't regret it if you struggle in math like I do you would end up loving math I took her in the winter 2test/final/not a lot of homework

I took her for every math class and she is AMAZING! She cares so much about her students and does anything she can to help you pass. I would not take another math teacher ever! I'm horrible at math but you would never know that cause she really made me understand the hardest problems! Lots of points she gives out, and extra credit! She is my hero!

She is not an easy teacher because she gives easy work, she is an easily teacher because she is approachable and her teaching technique is easy enough for a beginner to understand. <3 her

She's a great professor and cares about her students. She is very flexible with late assignments and does give a bit of homework but gives you more than enough time to complete it. You don't have to show up but you'll be lost for sure if you don't. She covers a lot in every class. Definitely take her if you struggle with math, she's very helpful.

Haven't taken algebra since junior high. Was very worried but I'm so glad I got into her class. She is a wonderful teacher. Makes it easier to understand and now I actually am enjoying math and looking forward to Future math classes. Class is exciting, not boring, activities given for practice. Absolutely love her style of teaching.

Professor Loyd is one of the best. She's very energetic and it made her lectures interesting. Homework was easygoing and due on exam days. There are three homework assignments and three exams in total, and she gives good study guides before each exam. She truly cares and sweats blood for her students and I would highly recommend taking her! :)

Rene single handedly saved me and my sister from getting stuck in Cs and Ds in Mt. SAC's quagmire of a math department. She talks fast, but she repeats herself, so you will catch anything you missed. And she CARES if you understand the material. Take notes and ask questions! And bring her a warm tea sometime, cuz she needs it<3 Love ya, Rene!

Loyd is one of the best professors I have ever have. She cares for her students success and I recommend people to take her. The class consists of 3 homework assignments, and 3 tests. She gives extra credit by going to tutoring and on the test themselves! I have struggled in math most of my life, but Loyd really helped me get a good grade. TAKE HER!

Professor Loyd is a god sent gift in the form of a math teacher! In her winter term class and it was made up of lecture notes and two tests to turn in. Lecture notes are easy A's, just take notes and turn them in. Her midterm and final are straight forward as well and she gives problems that are very similar to what is on her tests. Great teacher!

If you don't understand it, you can ask her, and she always explain again to process the details for solving the problem, and labels where would help you to understand easily. Worth it! Professor Loyd is my favorite professor on campus, she made me lose my fear of math. I took her for 71 & for 130 and passed both classes with an A+ She does an excellent job of explaining problems. Her study guides are just like the exams and she allows you to use them as well. Thank you so much Professor!

Extremely helpful teacher, attendance not mandatory and she sends replays about her lectures. All homework questions are covered in class. 2 Tests, midterm, and final. Both are given in PDF and give you a generous time limit. (about 6 hours) The test only takes about 2 hours. 16 questions, super easy.

Honestly, one of the best professors I have ever had. She gave me her time and attention, which meant so much to me, as I have a very hard time understanding math. She helped me understand and learn so much more in math than I ever thought I could! She helped boost my self-esteem, and I cannot thank her enough!

Rene does homework with you in class, all you have to do is copy and turn it in. Her tests are exactly like the homework problems she even gives study guides on where you can find the problem (ex: #2 from chapter 2 hw). She's understanding of attendance, and does her best to help. She is okay with group me chats for tests and homework.

Professor Rene is honestly an amazing teacher . She really takes the time to explain each step in a problem, and really tries her hardest to help you understand the material. I definitely recommend taking her class !!

She is unbelievably caring and fair. Her lectures are easy to understand, she's good at explaining equations and why they work a certain way. She knows to teach something similar to the test rather than coming up with versions of equations that were never taught. She's it for anyone who struggles with math. Not a lot of homework just few questions.

Her class is really easy. You do not have to attend since she records all the sessions. Exams are exactly what we saw in class. She is really good at teaching and understanding with students. I wish I could take her for all my math classes.

I took Ms. Rene for a 6 week winter session and it was an amazing experience. If you just watch all of her lectures, you will get an A. The exams are based on the homework that is assigned; there are no curveballs. She explains everything thoroughly and makes everything easy to grasp. Best math teacher I've ever had by a long shot. I enjoyed the class. Math has never been my strongest area, but Professor Loyd made it doable for me. She is very caring and understanding. She extends the deadline on homework assignments, and does it over zoom lectures. The midterm and final is also open note. I highly recommend to take her if you need to improve your math skills.

Very easy to do her classes. Also extremely flexible with due dates on Assignments. One of the best math professors if you have a busy life schedule. Though if you struggle with math, would not recommend to skip classes as her notes are crucial! Exams are easy if you understand the material!

Take this class! She understands people have things outside this class and is willing to work with you if you try. She truly cares about her students and their futures. I have always struggled with math but with her I was able to have a better understanding. She shows you step by step how to solve questions even when grading tests.

One of the best math professors I've ever seen! She is incredibly passionate, even when the class was excused for a 10 min break, she would continue to review any questions students had.
