She is a great teacher! Explains everything in detail, very helpful, Most of this class is group work, and she lets you do take home quizzes, and in class homework, which she explains in class. Does many examples in class, really nice!

Medina is a great teacher. If you need to take Interm. Algebra take her and you will not regret it. I HATE math and now I actually have some respect for it. She is always in a good mood, funny and understanding. TAKE HER!

I hate math and still loved this class. She is upbeat, funny, and speaks clearly. The tests are on par with the rest of the department, but she gives outlines and works on them with the class. DO THE ONLINE HOMEWORK: no deadlines to turn it in and the program is actually very helpful. Great class for math lovers and haters alike!

She grades fair, on time with lessons, nice, easy going, helpful, she does talk to herself, you need to do the online HW if you have it, and you should be fine. You have to show up or you might fall behind, but what class isn't like that. Go to her office hours if you have trouble with anything. Some people in the math lab will confuse you more.

Renee is a wonderful teacher! I was never great at math but because of her teaching style I'm getting an A. Studying helps too of course, just like any college class. She makes math a bit more enjoyable.

She is the best math teacher I've had in a long time. I actually looked foward to class each day. That's pretty hard for a math class. It's not the easiest math class you'll take, but she will prepare you for the next math class. I highly recommend taking her class for the simple fact she makes you feel comfortable taking her class and learning.

i had math 104 online w/ her. it's different but the math problems are almost exactly the same as the examples so you can see how to do it. and the tests have the same exact problems as the study guide so it's pretty easy to pass the online class. you have 2 chances to pass the quizes & have all week to do the homework.

She's a great teacher. She know's that math isn't for everyone but she makes the class as easy as possible. She wants everyone to pass her class. She speaks clearly, teaches well, grades fairly, and is organized. She gives study guides and if you do your homework and show to class each time, you will pass her class.

Renee is awesome. I took her in the summer, and although you have to work hard, and the pace was fast she was always very helpful. You learn alot and shes fair on grading. Great professor!!

very good teacher minimal homework but every night... gives good notes, always available. if you go to class you will pass with no problems. Would reccommend to any student especially if you are not the best in math.. she breaks everything down as simple as possible.

Took her hybrid course which was helpful. No real written homework except for take home quizzes. Online homework forces you to learn how to do the problems and walks you through it. She gives you every chance to excel with online copies of sample tests -DO THESE. She only cancelled class once so we didn't get behind. She's always willin to help.

Moves at quick pace in order to cover all the essentials, but does a great job of explaining, providing videos, answering student questions. Does a great job balancing lecture, discussion, small group problem-solving, and independent work. Clear, fair grading policy, including ability to drop several lowest assign/quiz scores or make up one exam.

I wish I could've taken her last semester...I took math with Hsaio Wang and failed. Math was always my weakness, but she makes it fun and easy for everyone...she breaks formulas/problems down and make it wayyyy easier for us to understand...take her if you can especially if you're not good at math, you won't regret it :)

The class is a hybrid fyi. The teacher was wonderful, made math easy and passed with a grade i wanted. Last semester i had fasman and she was a horrible teacher and failed. This class the teacher wants u to pass because she drops assignments and quizes. She would give u any oppurtunity to understand and makes it like its hi school again with ease.

This is all you need to know: Math 120. Hybrid. Go to class and listen. She (Prof. Medina) makes the rest a piece of cake... and she might just get you thinking about Math in a good way. Without doubt, a great teacher and a breath of fresh air - her energy is resounding. Plus, she is a good person and does great things in this world.

Take Algebra from NO ONE other than Renee! 1000 points in the class and much of it is easy filler points. No textbook required and she is soooo nice and helpful that it almost makes you enjoy math. I always hated math, but took 100 and 120 with Renee and passed easily! The best math prof EVER!

If you are bad at math and can't find a teacher that is a good enough teache to learn the material well Renee is your teacher she explains everything will make time for u whenever let's u turn in things late if something comes up the only bad thing about her is she doesn't teach stats I took her every class I could! Use her online videos too before a quiz they help alot!

Freaking fantabulous! I am horrible when it comes to math and Renee was such a wonderful help that I actually looked forward to class and to acing my tests. She will do whatever she cans to help you pass because she genuinely cares.

She's good just be prepared to work because the class is not easy at all so many people dropped the class but she is a good professor just know Math 120 is not an easy subject.

Renee is such a great teacher! I took her Math 299 class! She is very clear and she is so great and nice! She is really helpful and interacts with the students a lot. She hands out packets and goes over them with us and there are HW, CLASS, and take home quizzes. She goes over all of them. I think she is one of the best math prof. there! :D

Renee Medina is one of the best professors in SCC. Even though I spent a lot of time in My Math Lab still it was really helpful. All of her test and quizzes are based on her study guide. She is really patient and is always present in her office hour. Trust me take her you will not regret it

I didn't like the course; I felt like it was scattered everywhere. If you want to take math 299 make sure you're not a full time student! to actually dedicate your time and energy to this course because you will need it. Renee is a great teacher, and is always willing to help if you ask. I was always in the math lab before tests; it always helps.

The class is pretty easy and she is also very helpful. Sometimes she like to use the guess and check method when there is a formula to solve a problem but overall the class isn't bad. The tests are very straight forward and similar to the quizzes so there should be no reason why someone should fail the test.

My first ever review on a teacher on this site cause shes just that amazing. I HATE math, but she made it pretty clear. Very nice and helpful. Not an easy A but hey, thats math. Would recommend.

She is an amazing math teacher. Always very precise and if you actually take the time to do the homework packets you will do just fine. SCC needs more teachers like her.

I'm terrible at math and Renee is the best math teacher I've ever had. She helped me understand things I haven't understood in my entire math "career". I took intermediate algebra as a hybrid class (mostly online but with a once-per-week meeting), and she always answered my emails when I had questions on certain problems.

Professor Medina is awesome. Class was hybrid, only met on Fridays for quizzes, test, and turn-in homework. The online lectures are great and the ability to rewind the lecture is the key for success. I took this class because the other ones were full, but I am glad I did. Keep up with the homework for success. She will answer emails and text msgs!

I took the online class that meet on Fridays. So, she have videos on D2L that are very helpful, especially since she gives out a class work packet and help solve it through her videos. You get to see how each problem is done and then you apply it in the take home quiz she gives out. She's great at explaining too. Take her!! You won't regret it.

Highly recommend Renee for Math 100 shes really good. Class is only an Hour and a half so she has little time to teach but within that hour she teaches alot, but understandable. She gives alot of TQ so do those. And her exams are no more than 20 questions so it's really good if you study , guranteed pass in the class

Professor Medina is an excellent instructor and the most helpful professor I've had so far. She answers all your questions & explains every problem the class will do on the board thoroughly. She also has a very beneficial tutorial video on the D2L where she explains how to do a certain problem every problem unit chapter. It's impossible to fail.

Professor Medina is great. i enjoyed her lectures and being her class as well. She knows what she is doing and she is good at teaching. I would take her again. She does give you partial credit on quizzes and exams.

Great class, Very helpful and funny, a pretty easy class if you already passed math 100, if you have trouble with math, take her 123 and 124 classes. Not alot of homework, but as long as you keep up, you'll do good.

Highly recommend to take for Math 123 or 124. She helps you out a lot when you have trouble understanding a problem. If you go to her office hours, i gaurantee you will not fail her class. She helped me prepare for Finals and was there for me when I needed her help. I started off with a 51% in her class and finished with a 70%

I loved her class! She teaches really good and she's not as tough grader as you know about! She gives out amazing lectures, pop quizzes in every week or some weeks, lots of homework depends on book or papers (stacks of papers that she gives you lots) you dont know how much papers that she actually gives you lots!

This is one of my favorite math professors at sac city. She is very passionate in the math subject and is always willing to teach you different ways to do a problem if you are stuck. Test aren't extremely hard, but they are not easy. If she taught calculus I'd take her. She gives random homework quizzes so do your homework.

If your taking 299 part b make sure to study!! She goes over each classwork everyday thoroughly and is a very great teacher and happy to answer your questions. Better study for the tests as there's 6 or more that are 100 points and 55% of your grade. You can pass without doing homework as it is 5% of your grade. Just study

She's an awesome professor! Renee is very passionate about math. She teaches step by step for every problem, with several different approaches, from the book and her own experiences. Renee is very organized with the lecture. She's a very fair grader, but do the homework, do the practice chapter test in the book before exams, and you will ace it.

One of the best math teachers I ever had. Goes over homework questions beginning of every class. Also gives practice problems and study guides for exams. semi-flexible with homework if you have a legit excuse. I wish she taught math 400, id take her again in a heartbeat.

I loved taking her class, she does a great job explaining material so you understand it. She is funny and loves to keep the class in good spirits. I only say her class is hard because of the amount of homework that is 5% of your grade and because if you miss her class, you miss a lotttttttt of needed info that you cant get from the math lab.

Amazing teacher! Worked step by step if anyone needed it. Showed different methods of solving things. The attendance I wouldnt say is required but missing class would hold you back a bit if Math is your strong suit. She works on lots of problems in the packets during class which she collects before tests. Dont be afraid to ask questions!

Homework is fivepercent of your grade, do your homework and As the tests. Renee doesnt check the attendance but skipping class you wont pass. Her lectures are amazing,step by step,she does it the easy way that a student can understand.I heard shes accessible outside class like her office hours. Ill take her again if she teaches stat. Its amazing how Renee can change your views about Math. Im in love with her. Great teaching style, step by step, does a lots of work in class packet. RENEE doesnt get annoyed when students ask questions haha at least I never saw her. So keep asking her questions. Take her and you wont regret it. She cares about her students.
