This is a hard class, but its hard with whoever you take it with. Dr.Moore is very nice & she will try & work around things so you can do better. She does work sheets that she takes questions straight off of for her tests. I enjoyed taking her class even though it was hard at times
She is quite friendly and cares about her students. I didn't care for her lecture style, b/c it's all powerpoint and isn't clearly organized. Her regular exams are harder than avg, and her lab exams are quite difficult. Still, I hear she's better than most other Bio teachers at Solano.
Class i s very hard. Take it alone. She is hard to udnerstand a majority of the time. She chooses some students over other students when it comes to wanting help. So much info thrown at you at once along with working on 2 different chapters at the same time.
She is the best professor ever. Her teaching style is very easy to understand, willing to answer any ? & very helpful, nice, & caring. She is fabulous! I highly recommend her.
This is the hardest frickin class ever! LOL! Renee is an awesome teacher, but with the class sizes and the difficulty of anatomy...well...anyways, great teacher but hard class
She is the best biology teacher solano has. I have taken other bio teachers, trust me you should take her class. Her class may be difficult and alot of work, but she is very helpful and understanding. She gives assignments which are very helpful for quizes and exams.
The best Physiology and Anatomy teacher in Solano. I highly recommend taking her class. You will learn a whole lot.
Dr. Moore is a great and honest professor. Very organized and she is clear of what she expects from the students. She wants the students to learn the subject and not just be in the class. Hard class but it makes it easier with Dr. Moore teaching it. She is awesome and I highly recommend her if you are going to take Anatomy.
GREAT TEACHER!!!
Bad lectures, all powerpoint, not organized. Confusing test questions...multiple choice and some answers are almost exactly the same...
Dr Moore is the well organized and very clear on what she expects from her students. Do the worksheets she provides you with, attend lectures and stay through the WHOLE lab and you will do great. She's always available during her office hours and is more than willing to help any student succeed...you have to want to succeed, though!
Wonderful character and goofy at times. She is extremley smart and very organized. She is always there to help even holds open labs for students to have extra study time. Recommends you take the class alone, because of the heavy load of study hours. Fun and once again, a wonderful teacher~
Dr. Moore is the best teacher I've had so far! She is very well organized, she knows what she's talking about, and she helps you whenever you need it. Of all the biology teachers take her if you can! If not, better luck next semester!
Exams=hard, quizes=fair, and lab=hard. Lectures are okay, but could be improved by offering more clarity with exam ?'s. Lab is hard because she expects you to know it after hearing it for 5 min. She needs to offer more repittion at a slower pace and give out answer guides. Has favortism with certain students & impatient at times. She's smart but has a know-it-all syndrome. Not the best, not the worse.
Do not take her online class, many students that I spoke to had the same problem she is not clear on her grading and I had emailed her before about her grading system and she confirmed that at the end it could change. Her material and hw is not concurrent to her questions in the quiz as she really favors trick questions.
i had this teacher for both anatomy and physiology. She is tough but always available for you if you need extra help. She is one of the best teachers i have had. She is super smart and knows what she is talking about. Tests are hard quizes are fair but ultimately it is up to you to do all your hours of studying in order to keep up with the fast pac
One of the best instructors that Solano has.
Confusing questions with more than one possible answer correct for multiple choice. Does not answer emails or phone calls. Requires some answers more specific than described in the text. Dont take her online classes. Personally, I wont be taking her in person either.
She was very interesting to listen to. If you read the book and keep up with her lectures and labs, then there shouldn't be a problem. I found that it helps more to have study groups outside of class. Lab practicums were easier than the lecture exams and that's what helped me out the most.
She is very helpful and explains things in ways that make things so much easier
She is one of Solano's best teachers. She really knows her stuff. She's very straight forward and always willing to help students if they need clarification. I took BIOSC5&6 and got A's in both classes. Keeping up with the readings, reviewing your notes constantly, and attending class will benefit you greatly.
I loved her. She's very visual and it helps a lot when most of anatomy is pretty cut and dry. Her tests are hard and CAN be confusing if you have not read the material enough to distinguish right from wrong. She just wants to make sure you know what your doing and don't get by on guessing.
Dr. Moore is a great teacher. She does all that she can to help each student succeed. I am planning on taking her Physio class in the spring. Anatomy was great with her.
I took Physiology in the summer and although it was so tedious, Dr. Moore made the class go by smoothly. Do not fall behind and keep up with the textbook.
She is the "other" physiology teacher besides Dr. Mallory. She is better than him because she is younger and more energetic & makes you interested in the subject. But the subject is hard and her tests are extremely comprehensive (STUDY HARD!) She is helpful though, but you may drown in all the content before you realize you need help. KEEP UP!
Clearly cares for her students. Will extend herself to those struggling. Thanks to her teaching style, was able to enjoy one of the hardest classes on campus.
Dr. Moore is a wonder professor. The subject is hard but she can explain the concepts in lameness terms. There is no turn in homework assignments but she does give questions that are extremely helpful for the quizes and test. #1 biology instructor at Solano.
I took this class online over the summer. It was AWFUL. You had to learn the MINUTIAE from the textbook. There was zero guidance. The online quizzes had technical difficulties and you had to watch carefully to make sure they were graded correctly.
She's a good teacher, very helpful, her Environmental class was pretty easy, and she is very clear about what she expects in the class. I took her online class so, I don't know what she expects in attendance but the final is a proctored exam. The exam is all the quizzes and the midterm put together.
I took her online class and it's not very difficult, but she takes forever to get back to you with any questions and her quizzes cover material not addressed in the book or "lecture", which can be frustrating. And she provides no study materials for the mid-term or proctored final, so be prepared to cram for those.
I took her oline class, which i found to be a little diffcult. I dont really understand her grading scale, if your at a 78% one week and the next week becaue you didnt do good on one exam, your grade drops to a 68%, should your grade stay the same? instead of dropping? only take this class on oline if you have to, otherwise attend this class.
This is not an easy class. You have to work hard and study long hours. But she's the best teacher I've had in a long time. She gives you outlines of every chapter and the powerpoint goes with the outline. She even explains everything so that everyone can understand. She makes learning fun and if you work hard, you'll get a lot our of the work
Perfect to take for Anatomy and Physio at Solano! I got B's but then again I didn't study that hard. But there were around 7-10 A's. Don't wait to add her class , she's the first one to get filled up.
everyone told me to take her class. she is a really nice teacher knows her stuff very well and explains things much better than other teachers but physio is hard. you need to study and dont fall behind. labs are fairly easy but essay Qs on test can get you. the final is everything from the whole semester so you need to study hard!!!
Shes a good teacher but she doesnt take any bs from anybody. She can read you like a book and she wont put up with excuses. She will not round your grade up. You really have to earn your grade (which kind of sucks when your borderline)
MOORE is the BEST teacher here at Solano. She is extremely NICE and helpful. She wants you to pass and she helps in any way she can. She even gives u tips on what to study and how to study. TAKE HER IF YOU CAN! I took her for both Anat and Physio and got A's. She is a nice, sweet caring teacher....the BEST in the Bio department!!
She makes an interesting subject boring. Exams require learning a huge amount of useless stuff rather than concentrating on the the important applied stuff. Thinks a lot of herself.
OK SOO, I TOOK PRO. MOORE IN THE FALL OF 2008 AND I MUST SAY I DID NOT LIKE HER TEACHING.. GIVES LARGE TEST, NOT CLEAR AT ALL, TOO MUCH MATERIAL ON ONE EXAM.. I DID NOT LIKE HER CLASS AT ALL I TOOK MACLAHLAN AND PASSED WITH A B... AND I WOULD TAKE HER B4 MOORE IF I WERE YOU
Her exams are really hard. You must study extra hard to pass.
Dont take her class. The material you are tested on is useless but the important stuff is overlooked. I had a B in the class the WHOLE semester and missed a test on the last day of semester... I even took the final and still failed... with a 69.98% and there was NO rounding it up. I have to retake it now but NEVER take a class with her!
DO NOT take a class with this woman. She changes the answers on quizzes so that they do not reflect answers from the text. When you get it wrong she refuses to adjust your grade. I even cited my sources for answers I gave from HER REQUIRED TEXT and she wouldn't budge. She's a garbage professor.
she is very funny and energetic. i never opened my text book, just wrote down exactly what she put on the power point and made flash cards. you have to study, but she is a great teacher and i will take another one of her biology classes for sure
I will never take a class with her again. To much info on the exams, her lectures are not any help, multiple choice answers to close, for an intro class she was horrible.
Not as helpful as other bio teachers I've had. She doesn't let you have the exams back and no study guides are given prior to each exams which made it difficult to study for.
I really enjoyed her class. And yes, it is a hard course. You cannot expect an easy A without studying for it like we did for Anatomy. She does have a lot of expectations but she means well. Overall, she is a great professor.
Dr. Moore is definitely THE professor to pick for physiology at SCC. She's a great teacher. Physiology is not an easy subject so expect it to be tough all the way through the semester. This class forced me to refine my study skills (a good thing). If you put in the study time and go to class you should do well.
Class was hard. Can't find half the answers to quizes and exams in the book. The final exam didn't have anything on it from previous quizzes and exams. Do not recommend taking this class with this instructor.
Very helpful and makes things easy to understand. Includes humor in her classes to keep you awake. Awesome science teacher!
Very helpful and you can tell that she enjoys her job and students. Gives many examples to make you understand what she is teaching. Also uses alot of humor to keep you on your toes. Awesome science teacher!
Bad teacher, not helpful, says the exams will consist of material on chapters A-B, but then she adds material from chapters C-D.Don't take her class unless you know some who took her class and can give you previous exams.
IF YOU LIKE TO BE CONFUSED AND MISGUIDED THEN THIS IS THE TEACHER FOR YOU. GOOD LUCK IF YOU TAKE HER BIO ONLINE CLASS. TRY TO MEMORIZE THE WHOLE BOOK MAYBE YOU WILL GET A PASSING GRADE.
YOU MUST READ THE BOOK TO PASS HER CLASS. I recently had her for Online and she had kindly given me a C. But, I could not recommend her class for anyone. The tests are 20 mins and over 10 questions with essay questions thrown in. In fact, she also throws in questions that arent even located in that Chapter your taking your quiz for. IN PERSON FINAL
Dr. Moore is a wonderful instructor! She has a ton of extra material that helps you learn. I have had her for two different classes and got a B in each class. SHE WONT GIVE YOU AN EASY A! You have to STUDY!
I took this class to fulfill my GE requirement. The tests are all multiple choice and are fairly straightforward. Study enough to associate key words with general topics and you'll do fine. Show up to class, especially for the review sessions because she will usually let a few answers slip.
If you are looking for a professor who keeps it straight forward and is fair, better look somewhere else. If she says something that conflicts with the book and you quote the book, she will take off points. Her test question are insanely tricky and misleading. Sure you will learn alot because you will be chasing your tail confused and mislead!!!
She is an over-achiever, so be prepared to work for your grade. She makes the material interesting and will explain it forwards and backwards until you understand it. She also teaches non-science majors so she's really good at dumb-ing things down for those that are lost. She takes no BS from students, so work hard and earn your grade.
GREAT Professor! She uses metaphors which help you remember difficult subject matter. This is not an easy class and studying is required. She is the BEST and made this class so much fun!!

I took Dr. Moore's class twice. The first time I took her class I earned myself a D for not studying enough. I loved her class so much that I took her again the next semester and passed. If I could have Dr. Moore for every class I would LOVE college. She's so fun. Be prepared to work hard, her class isn't easy. She goes out of her way to help!
She is the best teacher I had so far. She makes physiology interesting. This class is hard, but if you put time and pay attention to what she is asking you'll pass with a good great. I took her BIo16 and BIo005 and I would take her again if she starts teaching other bio classes.
I took Ms. Moore online. She is a fair teacher and the work required is nothing extreme. I felt that the homework load was minimal but it was to the point. She is always encouraging students to visit during office hours as she is willing to help anyone in need.
I took Dr.Moore for the lab only and I wish I would have taken her for the class too. She is very clear and does a good job at emphasizing what is really important. Her class is very organized and the activities are even fun sometimes. She manages to teach a college level class while still realizing that bio16 is not a science major course. perfect
Dr. Moore is nothing but fair. She is a "mama bear." Coming into the class I was prepared for the worst. She definitely eased my worries and gave me the best experience I could have had with physio. Do the work. Go to class. Pay attention. You'll get the grade you deserve.
Dr. Moore is absolutely amazing! She is so helpful and makes the class interesting. She is really clear on instructions and what needs to be focused on. The class is hard but if you put in the time and effort you will be fine. I would recommend her to everyone who needs to take BIO 005..totally worth it!
Dr. Moore is an amazing instructor! She comes to class EVERY DAY and is overly prepared. Before the first day of class, she outlines the whole semester online unit-by-unit including all the print-outs you'll need. She tells you why she's a tough teacher, and she tells you exactly what she expects of you as a student. There are no surprises.
This was a fairly good class. Great teacher. I missed a few assignments but would have gotten a B if I turned everything in. Do the assignments and score decently on the quizzes and you should pass the class no problem. Great teacher and answers your questions and concerns promptly. Very good teacher, sets you up for success. Highly recommended.
Dr. Moore is an awesome person but I had a really hard time following her physio class. Some unnecessary material was required to learn as well. I am having to retake it this semester and am doing soooo much better. Maybe her teaching style just wasn't for me. Has meetings with students after every test on her own time. Thats was awesome!
I would definitely recommend Rennee for bio 016 lab. Her labs are set up to make sure you clearly understand the materials. They are also super easy and don't require a lot of work. Labs are provided for you and short 10 question quiz is assigned online to follow. You are given one week to complete the quizzes. Midterm based on the quizzes you had.
This class was by far one of the easier classes I have taken. Renee is very clear during lecture and makes sure you know the materials. Tests are easy and based off of worksheet pages she assigns for homework. All her notes are posted online so if you miss a class you don't fall behind. She is very personable and I would recommend taking her.
Dr Moore is amazing. She is super smart and always helpful. Her class is tough but what Physiology course isn't? All of the information given is what is on the exams in a sense.
My only gripe is that the final exam is in person. Which is fine, but she doesn't allow for any kind of cheat sheet or Anything and simply says 'review old quizzes and workbook pages' by way of a study guide. Otherwise, it's a straightforward and enjoyable course
Dr. Moore gives great instructions on the subject online. She's always there if you need help with anything. Just make sure to respond to discussions and keep up with the deadlines for the homework and quizzes.
Enjoyed this class online. Lots of structure and learned a lot. Would like to take another class of her in the future.
WOW. What can I say?? She's phenomenal. I'm sad I only had her for the bio 16 lab and not the lecture as well. She's incredibly smart, fun, and caring. Homework and test schedule is very clear. Test questions come word-4-word from the lab reports. Show up and pass. Great with office hours and responding to emails. Super casual lab environment.
One of the most amazing women I've ever met. She genuinely cares about each and every one of her students. She will be there for you long after you're gone. She has a very motherly nature and it is a privilege to be in her class.
Dr. Moore is fantastic. She's nice, very smart and even has a little sense of humor. Lectures are very clear and she'll answer any questions you have. If you read the book, study the vocabulary and do the workbook pages, you'll do well. Tests are a little tricky but not horribly difficult as long as you study. I'm taking the lab next semester.
Dr Moore is one of the best professors I've ever had. She is super smart and very helpful. You can tell that she really enjoys her job. She gives plenty of homework to give "filler" points. Her class is challenging but great. I highly recommend her.
Dr Moore is a great Professor. She is super organized and has plenty additional resources available to you online. I HIGHLY recommend doing the Homework its not counted for credit but the questions are very similar to the quizzes and tests. This class was very interesting and I learned so much from Dr. Moore I would definitely recommend her.
She is such an awesome teacher and I plan to take my future bio classes with her. I loved her teaching style that made information clear and studying for exams less overwhelming. Her teaching style makes information clear and easy to learn.
If you need to take the human biology lab, you'll want to take it with Dr. Moore. Her labs are fun and relatively easy and are followed by online post-exercise quizzes. You must read the textbook in to complete your lab reports and do well on the quizzes. The midterm and final are based off the quizzes.
Make sure you do the workbook pages, they add up to a lot of points.
Dr. Moore is amazing! She's hilarious, super intelligent, and discusses the material very well. Her powerpoints cover most of the materal in the book, however I reccomend reading the book before tests. She reviews the more complicated chapters very well, so don't worry about "getting lost". Her class was an absolute joy.
Dr Moore was awesome!!
Took her class during summer 2016 semester. She gave over 50 assignments including quizzes & test in an 8 week course. Completed all assignments but failed the final and failed the class. Don't accept late work and only one or two of extra credit assignments. She does a lot of her teaching in Vacaville need I say more
This course is terminology based. Every lecture is available online and covered in detail during class. Also, she provides direct links to flash cards to be familiar with terms. Most importantly, buy her workbook as every exam pulls all questions from it. She grades on a curve and has extra credit EVERYWHERE. Know key terms and get an easy A.
She's an amazing teacher, she wants all her students to succeed and respond very quickly to emails.
Dr. Moore is a wonderful teacher. She cares about her students. There is a ton of information in this class so attendance is a must. However, she is very organized and her lectures/labs are available online. She is very approachable and awesome at explaining things. Her test can be tough but she does a good job of preparing you for them.
Dr Moore started out to be nice with course work and relating course materials. Somewhere along the period of BIO 016 something went wrong. How can you move from an A to a C after finals? Anyways i enjoyed her course materials and the overall study of the. I will not resit this course at anytime.
She is very organized and gives good feedback. I am pretty sure she reads all of the discussions comments, even the boring ones. Her final was totally fair, just do your assignments and actually look at PPT lectures, if you've already taken anatomy and physiology this class will be a breeze for you.
Since this is an online class, there was quite a lot of reading. Her grading criteria is obvious, but she doesn't give study guides, which makes tests a little tricky. She doesn't really give feedback and offers one extra credit assignment. She didn't give us any time off for breaks and still expected the work due at the end of the week.
Took Dr Moore's anatomy class, and loved her! I'm actually waiting until Fall 18 to take her for physio. She's super sweet and helpful. She chunks up big sections into smaller, more manageable ones. As long as you study, do the review sheets she gives and do your best, you'll pass her class! Tests are m/c with some fill in.
Dr. Moore is amazing! She relates and understands it is a lot of information, and does her best to simplify it. She has study guides for every chapter that do prepare students for the exam. She loves her job and it shows, I would recommend her to anyone.
If you are looking for a professor who keeps it straightforward and is fair, better look somewhere else.
Coming from someone who has their BS in Bio, Dr. Moore is the BEST Prof. Ive ever taken. She is funny and always relates concepts to silly stories. She is very clear on what to expect for quizzes/exams. If you go to class and do the optional homework, you should do well. This material is hard, but she will make it fun. 110% recommend!
You NEVER know what to expect on exams! Only two or three people in our class received an A. Only one extra credit assignment was given 5 POINTS only out of 1000+ NEARLY 1000+ Also, her teacher assistant graded SO hard, the answer would be correct but if it's not correct in HER words... good luck
I really don't know why all the hate for Dr. Moore recently. She was an awesome professor, and really makes you understand the information. Granted I did take the class, because its required for my major, but if I had to do it again, I would take it with her 100/100. It's bio 4 it gonna be hard, but you just have to study, and go to open lab.
Dr. Moore gives a clear guideline of what you need to be successful in this class. Your grade will depend heavenly on how much effort YOU put into it . Lots of homework (which is optional) but will be beneficial to your success in the class if you do it. Very Hard class that requires you put a lot of time into it.
Dr. Rennee is not a very good professor her exam is super heavy and also if you need help she does not inspire at all she doesn't help you and even she does not guide you. Dr. Rennee is not a success professor if you need guide don't take her.
She is the most organized teacher I have ever taken. I really enjoyed this class I learned so much. It is time consuming be prepared to work for your grade it does not come easy. DO THE HOMEWORK. Then after you do the homework study the homework a lot. All her tests are based on lecture and her homework. Good luck.
Took the online bio 016 class and had a pretty easy time with the online class, most of the items were on quizlet. The final was pretty easy but I do suggest paying attention to all the vocab words and the practice tests. Would take again!
Physiology is HARD so of course the class is rigorous and you have to put in effort. However, Dr Moore is AMAZING. I wish I had taken her for anatomy. Gives you heads up on quizzes and what will be on them. LOTS OF RESOURCES. You cannot anything below a B with her if you REALLY try. Love her so much I took her for another Bio course
I can honestly say that Dr. Moore is the best professor I have ever had! She is so organized, and has so many resources to help you succeed. She is really kind and does her BEST to help her students understand the somewhat difficult material of physiology. The class will be tough, but if you take it with Dr. Moore you'll be set to at least pass!
This class was pretty straightforward. Every two weeks we were assigned two chapters, two discussions, and two tests. An A is definitely doable if you study and manage your time. Professor Moore offered great feedback and offered multiple extra credit opportunities. She also provided lectures for each chapter, along with helpful videos.
The best prof I've ever had. She is clear on what she wants from you, accommodating, and basically hands you everything- you just need to use it and actually study! Every quiz & test has extra credit too:)
Dr. Moore is okay. I think she teachers more material than needed. I feel she is a little to much. You have a quiz every week on everything she hands you in class on top of Lecture exam and lab exam. Her quizzes her worth 40 points, Which can make or break your grade. Why make the class harder than it needs to be? Take her at your own risk.
Whew! she is way to much. You will definitely work for your grade in her class. Although she is very organized she expects way to much from you in a class that is already difficult. I really don't understand teachers who get a kick out making students lives more stressful. Also you will not be able to work and succeed in her class. Good luck
Dr. Moore ratings are an ratings illusions. I bet the studies who she shows favoritism towards are giving her great ratings. I am currently in her class and she is horrible. I wish I would have taken another professor instead of her. Although this is a very challenging class Dr. Moore intensions are not well. She fronts like she cares but its fake.
Had Dr. Moore for BIO 4 and 5. Keep in mind that these classes are already hard due to the fact that they're usually medically related classes, so don't expect a walk in the park, and expect to STUDY. She posts all lecture and lab related materials online, will meet with you if you need help, and clearly establishes expectations. Learned a lot.
She absolutely refuses to accommodate any flexibility in schedule no matter what. If you have a job do not take her class, she will inevitably find a time or two to conflict with your work schedule even as an online class. She controls the opening and closing of assignments to make sure you cannot work ahead or be flexible in your timing.
HORRIBLE TEACHER! The comment below was either written by her or one of her favorite students thats brings apples to class to please the teacher. She is by far the worse science teacher throughout my college experience I've ever taken. Although science classes tend to be challenging this teacher will not help you when you ask her. Very egotistical.
She plays favorites. Can be condescending. Very impatient when you ask her a question. Will spend lecture time bragging about her own school experience.
Dr. Moore is a top-notch professor. She was by far the best professor I have had the pleasure to work with! She provides an immense amount of learning material, resources, online quizzes, models, keys, so all of the lab and lecture material can be accessed and learned. There is really no excuse not to get an A! She really cares about her students!
I was hesitant to take a science class online but due to COVID-19, I had no choice. Dr. Moore is a very organized, experienced online professor, so this class was a breeze for me. That's not to say you won't have to do the reading, your homework or the quizzes. But her assortment of youtube videos in the lecture and premade quizlets were gr8.
This was probably one of my easiest classes and one of the best online professors I have had. She was always leaving submission comments with feedback or even just a "Have a great weekend/week". You can tell she really does care about her students success. Dr. Moore also offers quite a few easy extra credit opportunities as well. Take her class!!
I took this class in Fall 2020, fairly easy workload and assignments, yet still learned a lot and found the material interesting. I suggest taking Environmental Science with Dr. Moore to all my friends.
Professor Moore was great! Each week consisted of one quiz and one discussion board. We've also had four exams in total including the final. She does provide many helpful resources for studying which should be taken full advantage of. Her online lectures, although informative, were a little boring at times. Regardless, she was good!
Took the 8 week course, expect to have 2-3 quizes a week and discussion posts. Her class can be easy if you use the right tools. I was intimidiated at first but all assignments drop monday and are due by sunday night.
A super easy class to take. At first I thought it would've a hard class to take online but it was a super easy. An online lecture w/ videos to watch, a weekly discussion post + 1 response to a classmate and a quiz due at the end of the week, it was a really easy workload. definitely would recommend this class for anyone who needs to take bio16
Professor Moore had a very well organized online class. Her lectures were very easy and they were based on the readings we did. I really liked how she gave us none-graded practice quizzes throughout each module to prepare for our quizzes; You have two attempts per quiz and they were fairly easy. Lastly, the discussion posts were not hard at all.
Taken as an elective but I definitely enjoyed this class.
Taken as an elective, but I enjoyed this class.
She outlines the entire course schedule on the first day of class. I really appreciate this because I can easily plan my life around it. She does not take late homework, but she offers extra credit assignment opportunities. Make sure too buy the book and actually study.
She requires a textbook but will offer an online lecture through her modules for every chapter. It includes short videos, facts, pictures, etc. Two discussions and two quizzes every week b/c of summer. Discussion requires online research & doesn't use book. 1 midterm and 1 final. Easy and helpful class, please study!
quizzes can be challenging with little time to take.
Excellent teacher and really friendly! Her discussions and other material was fun. I would definitely take her again.
She made this class so easy! I am truly grateful I picked her for this class. I generally understand Biology easily therefore this made it easy to get an A, but I also believe her level of organization, and preparation helped too. Discussions and quizzes were due weekly. The exam was easy if you were studying at least twice a week. Read the book.
Took Bio016 in the summer. The assignments are too easy. Grades weren't dropped as much with the missing work. Best professor I'll take her again.
Great teacher! Makes the topics easy to understand and is very caring about her students. Makes her own lecture videos which is VERY helpful and bases her tests off of that. She actually takes the time to make sure we understand the topic and helps out with memorization. Quizzes every week but lowest score is dropped.
I took an online 8-week course, so it was fast-paced but very informative. She provides video lectures and practice quizzes to help you prepare for the tests. There is a discussion and quiz a day and a total of 3 exams plus the final. She's also very easy to communicate with. I took this as a prerequisite for anatomy; her material really helped!
I absolutely loved her! Best teacher ever I wish I could take her for physio. Really nice and caring, she's really good at giving resources and help outside of school and during. Extra credit on quizzes and she drops the lowest grade. Use her lecture videos!!!
Dr. Moore is an amazing instructor. The online course was 8-weeks and consisted of weekly discussions, weekly chapter quizzes, 3 exams, and final exam. She also offers extra credit.
A lot of people like her but she just wasn't for me. Quizzes every Tuesday, SO much homework, wouldn't let me retake a final after being sick with strep which sucks but it's college. She teaches extremely fast and felt very judged when spoken to… don't hate her, just not for me.
There's a weekly discussion post and quiz. The quiz is easy if you watch the lectures and have organized notes. Turn in everything on time. The discussion posts are really easy, just make sure you do them.
Took this class for BIO 004 ended up having to drop because her tests were very difficult. I retook during the summer and ended up passing with a good grade but with a different professor. If you ask any questions she's rude and makes you feel dumb. Not sure why she has a 4/5 rating wouldn't even give her a 2.
It was a difficult topic but you can tell she really tries to break down topics in her lectures. Every time I had to message her she was great at responding soon after. I took it during the summer so the workload felt heavy but it was moreso because of the density of the subject than her trying to drown you. Study a lot and you'll be fine.
Dr. Moore is nice. She has a flipped lecture model where you read before coming to lecture. That was new for me. Anatomy is like learning the names of every nook and cranny of every body system you have but the names are in another language and DO NOT MISSPELL ANYTHING or it's wrong. Cadavers, you will see dead bodies. No room for error.
Gives weekly quizzes and biweekly discussion posts. Pretty light workload. Two exams that weren't difficult.
