This was my 4th bio class at HCC and frankly the only one where I feel like I learned a lot of biology. Prof. Jain gives clear lectures and answers questions in a thoughtful manner. Her tests are consistent, not easy but fair. She tries hard to help students and she made me more interested in learning more about anatomy.

She is one of a kind, very easy, you do not need the book, all you need is her notes and her study guide and you will be OK. I got an A and the best of all is if u are happy with your grade, you don't take the Final. How cool is that

Dr. Jain is an awesome professor. She's very organized. If you listen in class, re-write your notes and study, it's not a hard class. I've had biology professors whose lectures were so hard to follow that it was necessary to tape-record them. Dr. Jain tells you exactly what you need to know for her exams. You just have to study!

Well i am a average student...A's and B's and I think Jain does a great job of explaninig the material to get anyone to understand, but her test on the other hand are quite tricky, u learn so much by her and u get to the test n u get confused and tricked..that makes one feel like they wasted thier time if u kno what i mean...thats how it was 2 me.

she is awesome. in order to pass her class you just need to study the powerpoint presentation that she shows on class. she lets you know exactly what you need to study in order to pass her exams and the best is that you really learn ...

Dr. Renu is one of the best biology professor I know. She is very easy and the best part of her class is that you don't need the textbook. You can easily pass her class w/A. If you are one of those students that have hard time trying to understand a subject, Dr. Renu is the answer for any Biology class. I had her for A&P and I made A. take her!!!

I do not recmnd this prof if ur lookin4 an interactive class/subj, the online tools, stdent tutor & study guidebk are much more helpful than D prof @ any1 time, u can get through w/a great grade & not even go2 class, @ the end of our semester she started giving us 5 min. "pop" quizzes every class=good. Overall she just talks @ u, not much else.

The best biology teacher. Take her class and you are sure to do well in both AP 1&2. She gives detailed explanations moreso if you read her powerpoints slides,you'd definately be smiling through the exam

Dr Jain is sooo wonderful. Extremely patient with those who dont understand and has helpful ways to help u learn. this subject can be hard for some, but she is very fair- and is always available if u need extra attention after/outside of class. if this subject interests u-this is the professor to take!!!! nursing majors especially will love her.

Great Teacher unlike other commentors. Come to class "Pay attention". I havent taken a Antomy in 3 years and i got a B. USE HER POWERPOINTS!!!!. Only reason i got a "B" is bcuz i paid attention, took a few notes, and the bare minumum for study. had a 75% in class before last test so i had to do really well but still passed. Must show up EVERY DAY

Wow. She is a great teacher. The content is hard, but not because she is a bad teacher. She makes it as easy as possible, but she isn't giving away free A's. I never missed a class with her because I liked it so much.

She's one of the best science professors at HCC. I'd rate Dr. Jain's teachings abilities over most of the science professors/TA's at University of Houston.

she's a very good professor! Despite her accent, she explains things very clearly. As long as you review the information and study for exams you should not make anything less than a B. Her exams are really STRAIGHT FORWARD! She will not try to trick you, it's either you know the stuff or you dont. Every class period she gives quizzes which help.

i took her summer class. must do 4 quizzes in a week. Most answers are not in the book. do what I did, GOOGLE THEM!!! dont waste yr time reading the retarded hcc book. use yr internet

Not because got A from API & II, so i recommand her. She is an organized and knowledgable instructor. Sometime she tells u how to learn different systems. Quizzes + (70-80 MC + bonus questions). Seldom free points! If your major is nursing, or need to pass HESI, she is your best choice.

I took 2402 in a Fall '09 hybrid from Dr. Jain. She provides lecture notes, PPTs & study guides to overcome the limitations of the poorly indexed Saladin textbook. A&P II isn't a particularly easy subject: If you expect to learn anything, or want a teacher who doesn't challenge you, look elsewhere. All others? She's great!

Dr. Jain is a highly effective instructor, who provides you with all the tools needed to receive an A in her course. i didn't get an A because didn't study enough, aside from that i would highly recommend her to any wishing to take Anatomy 2401 class.

In my opinion, Dr. Jain is an awesome professor. I learned a lot, but it required lots of studying. I would recommend her if you want to learn some good anatomy.

Took the Fall DE course. Pretty straightforward. A "textbook" example if you will of how an online course should be run.

She 's a good teacher. BUT DONT TAKE her distance class. She wont post lecture-notes on blackboard unless you beg her and if you send her email, she never reply it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had her for A&P 1. One of the best science teachers taken. Very clear and precise on everything that you have to know for her class. Of course like any science class it requires studying, but if you do, you will be fine. Plenty of extra credit. Take her! Made an A! Taking her for A&P2 as well.

I took General Biology online in Spring 2011. Overall I think Dr. Jain is a good teacher and enjoys science. Some of the students complained about her teaching. But personally I don't think she was the problem. Most science class can be challenging and are really not the best courses to take online...especially if you don't catch on fast!

im taking her DE class now, and so far so great. responds on time, lectures and quizzes posted, syllabus was clear. I'd advise anyone to take her.

If you're looking for a great professor to teach you A&P, take Prof. Jain. She goes into a lot of detail about the body and clearly outlines what she wants you to study for her exams. i took her for summer I and highly recommend her. I'm taking her again for A&PII. She is very nice and will help you do your best!

I was worried about taking the A&P cause the amount of material covered. But Dr. Renu Jain was very good at explaining how the physiology part work. She'll help if you asked. I made A's on 2401 and 2402. If you are just looking for easy A, she is not the easiest. But you definitely learn a lot from the quality she provided.

I'm in her A&P class & have been doing okay on the exams. Her lectures are clear, she makes the material easy to grasp & tells you all you need to know. She makes the material easy to grasp, & as someone going into nursing, this is exactly the professor I needed. Study, take great lecture notes, & you won't let yourself down. Attend class & STUDY!

I wish i can take her for AP2, but class is already full!! :( great teacher, she explains everything where you can understand. If you take all the notes and study them then you will do great in her exams and labs.She gives you a review sheet for the lab exams and points out what you only need to study. Powerpoints helped alot

Honestly, I loved A&P 1 (different prof) and I was highly looking forward to this class. Unfortunately, she doesn't teach with passion and it is exhausting listening to her talk. She likes to say a sentence and leave the last word blank for you to fill in. Super annoying. She is clear in what she expects and her tests are fair.

She is a great instructor, she teaches what you need to know instead of what's nice to know. You don't need a book if you can listen well and read her notes. I got an A and she made me like science and want to be a nurse!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this teacher. Print out her powerpoints for the lectures and take notes. She has been kind enough to provide tons of online activities, homeworks, study guides, and practice tests to help you remember the information. As long as you do your part, you'll be fine. I'm so thankful to have her for A&P2.

Dr,Jain is knowledgeable teacher. She is not friendly, but She is helpful if you ask. I just finished A&p 2402 with her.No review for exams except for 2 Lab exams but her exams are not relay hard.The first two lecture exams are in class,3rd exam online,final online & 20% of final in class. Mastering& lab assignments will help your grade so do it. A

Took the teacher for AP1 AND 2, she is one of the best teachers i have had. Her lectures are excellent. SHe helps you if you dont understand by giving you examples. Take all her notes and they wil help you for the exams, and read the book as well. I highly reccomend her

This is a hard class and a hard A, but is it attaInable. The prof is very well-educated and thorough on this subject. Tests are challenging but extra credit is offered on all exams except final. Labs are fun but need to be prepared and/or finished at home. Would definitely recommend this prof.

Good professor. Clear instructions. Expect homework but easy grade if you complete it. She also offered extra credit. Do your work, get good grades. Simple. She communicates well. Took online class, got B. Was very close to getting an A.

One of the most understanding professors I've ever had. Had a bit of a mixup, and she was incredibly understanding and helped me out when she did not need to. I was not excited to take a science class, but I would gladly take another one with Professor Jain.

Totally an easy A online. The only problem I had was that the coursework spans over 3 different websites which can be difficult to keep up with at times. In addition to Eagle Online, there's also a Pearson and a McGraw site. I ended up missing an exam. I still made a B in the class, though and never once picked up the text book. Would recommend!

I took this class online. It doesn't require a lot of work. There are 4 modules that cover 2 or 3 chapters from the textbook. There are PowerPoints for each chapter. There's also an interactive online course called BioBeyond. Don't rush through it. It grades you as you go. There are 4 exams and one final. Just study & take multiple choice tests.

She makes her powerpoints interesting and as long as you pay attention and review the powerpoints, you'll do just fine on the tests! I really enjoyed taking her, she made me fall in love with anatomy and physiology!

Am ready to tack A&P2 with Dr Renu!!. I like her. I recommend her, she really understands and helps you to pass and explain again and again . she gave us 3 lecture exams, drops 1 lowest. if u finished your online quizzes she tacks as a 1 exam just to help you to pass. I like her. she is very cool. and she knows what to teach.

Took online class. Super easy! Power points and Lectures were very helpful.

Really enjoyed her course, but she does this thing when she lectures, leaves her sentences open with a long pause like she wants you to answer it. You get used to it after a while but I was annoyed by it at first. She is caring and wants you to do well, just make sure you show her your effort. Study group also helped me in this course.

Professor Renu was incredible. There is a lot of testing but the answers can be found on Quizlet. I suggest making high A's and B's on the test, she drops lowest grade and the final is worth 50 points. I got a low final but with my test included I was able to pass with a B. Very pleasant instructor. Lots of assignments, don't miss!

I loved AP1 online, takes a lot of self-discipline. A lot of reading and studying the book and resources, but I found all the homework to be really helpful, and they keep you on track. Her exams need studying, and some people did poorly I saw but if you study, its not hard to ace. Not sure how some would make 40s. I ended up with 102 in the class

The best online professor I have taken for Anatomy. I have taken her for A/P 1 and now 2 this semester and she is amazing! Very easy if you study her powerpoints and do the chapter quizzes.

Took this lab course for a summer session. Be sure to be active in the lab. Lab manual is required. Easy course, the professor is easy and easy going. You can miss a class but you will have to make up the lab. There are a few quizzes throughout the course nothing major.

Just go ahead and take her so easy to pass.

This professor responds back to emails quick. She makes sure you pass her class. Her assignments aren't too difficult. I took this class online. 4 discussions, 4 assignments, 4 exams and final. Make sure to study because the exams have lockdown browser and webcam required. Other than that she's amazing! Take her.

Overall this course was easy. We did use the webcam for quizzes and test. I personally did not like that. The test were long 60-70 questions. I did not use a textbook. Just complete the assignments on time.

I've taken her for a different course in the past so this was a "stick with the devil I know" situation. She's much harder as an a&p II teacher for sure, but still pretty passable. It's very well structured, there's no guessing game. Lots of assignments but spaced out well. She even records lectures. Has one extra credit opportunity, TAKE IT.

All of the other reviews I have read so far are not indicative of my experience in her course at all. This course is formatted in an extremely clear way, she is very responsive to emails, and extremely receptive to student's needs. She started offering two chances for exams due to our struggles. Exams are a bit different from quizzes.

The only thing I don't like about her class is the test worth 70%. She gives lectures before every lab so it helps to have a better understanding. Her pre&post lab quiz are easy. Make sure to work on the review she provided before the exam and you should be fine.

BEST TEACHER EVER. I took her for my Biol1106, she was just amazing, you can tell her what you don't understand after class, and she can cover it for you, she gives review sheets for exams, so helpful!!!. If it is your first lab class, like it was for me, just take her !!!.

Attendance is part of your grade and she lets you know what's important for the tests in her lectures. Make sure to get her revised slideshows as they reflect the information you will be tested on as well. Considering the breadth of material in A&P, her tests are very fair and won't have you pulling your hair out.

There are quizzes (using Lockdown browser) for every module (13) and 4 exams + final. You'll have to do a fair amount of memorizing if you want to do well. Not all the material is in the pptx, but as long as you read the text book thoroughly, and do the practice quizzes, you will be fine. She is very responsive and grades quickly.
